Life of Kylie: Kylie Jenner Hopes to Break Away from the Kardashians with Her New Show
Life of Kylie premieres in just over a week — August 6th is that close, you guys — and it won’t be until we actually see all 8 half-hour episodes that we can truly tell whether it’s a success or not.
No matter what you think of Kylie Jenner herself, you have to be wondering what the show is going to be like and just how authentic — or otherwise — her portrayal is going to be. On social media, we see exactly what Kylie wants us to see — even if that includes her nipples.
Well, thanks to a Calabasas local, we now have a little more information about Life of Kylie.
According to Hollywoodlife‘s source in Calabasas, Life of Kylie is all about Kylie Jenner as her own person rather than as part of the Kardashian clan.
In a way, you’d think all of the splinter shows are about independent brands, right?
Remember the short-lived Kocktails with Khloe? That was more or less just about Khloe and her guests.
But it has to be different for the youngest sibling.
Especially when Kylie is the youngest of six.
“Kylie does not want to blow her chance to truly separate herself from her famous family.”
We’ll elaborate on that in a moment, but … Kylie’s issues as youngest daughter aside, that makes a lot of very sound business sense.
“She sees her new show as her big opportunity to break away from her older sisters’ shadows.”
Remember, Kylie was 9 when Keeping Up With The Kardashians started filming.
This is her first time taking the reigns on her television image.
“Kylie loves her entire family dearly but also wants to make her own mark and brand.”
Don’t we all?
(Unless you have family issues, but that’s totally your business)
So the phrase “blow her chance” is sort of interesting, right?
On the one hand, it could just mean that she’s unlikely to get a series greenlit again any time soon if this one tanks.
(Honestly, we know Kylie Jenner’s net worth — she could hire a crew and producers herself if she really wanted to, but that’s another story)
On the other hand, we all know that fame can be fleeting.
Kylie has grown up famous and has to be very conscious of all of this.
With the Kardashian family past its peak, she needs to ride this fame wave and use it to launch her career.
Think of singers like Justin Timberlake who’ve left boy band acts to pursue solo careers to great success.
Kylie needs to do something similar, stepping out of not just Kim Kardashian’s shadow, but her entire family’s.
And speaking of her entire family … well, there’s more than one reason to separate your brand from them.
Sometimes brands, even the ones that made you famous, can turn toxic.
After Rob Kardashian’s revenge porn attack against Blac Chyna, it should be more clear than ever that the Kardashian brand isn’t what it used to be.
With the Kardashians seeming to close ranks despite their anger, it’s possible that Rob’s antics could help tank their already waning brand.
Some fans will be fans for life, sure.
But a brand is only strong so long as its attracting new fans and, ideally, making more fans than it loses.
Some of the family’s storylines are basically over.
Kourtney and Scott … well, it seems unlikely that they’ll ever get back together.
Khloe’s weight loss journey’s been over for ages.
Kim is now a married mother of two, with a third baby on the way.
Rob clearly has a host of issues, including rage, poor impulse control, and alleged domestic violence.
Kendall is first and foremost a model — she mostly just does her own thing.
Kris is unchanging and eternal, as always, but that’s not enough for the whole family.
Honestly, Kylie is a lot more interesting than some of her family, anyway.
She’s affectionate with her dogs, she keeps up with social media.
She’s also become a makeup mogul as a teenager, which is kind of bonkers.
Kylie isn’t necessarily wise when it comes to her love life, but people follow her for her, not for her no-name boyfriends who only gain recognition after dating her.
She doesn’t seem to want to have her own career in the sense that Kendall does, where Kendall has a job where her name helps her but she’s doing the same things that her fellow models are doing.
Kylie wants to be a titan of industry — both makeup and reality — on her own.
Almost as a rival to her siblings.
And you know what? That little upstart might be able to pull it off.

Lindsay Lohan Apologizes, Hopes to Fix Romance with Egor Tarabasov
Lindsay Lohan has realized the error of her ways.
The actress has been back in the news of late for all the wrong reasons, having gotten into a very public fight over the weekend with fiance Egor Tarabasov.
It started with Lohan writing at length on Instagram about Tarabasov allegedly cheating on her… with a Russian prostitute.
“I guess I was the same at 23…” she wrote of her younger man on Friday night, saying he was out partying and had not yet returned home.
“Sh-tty time-it changes at 26/27 @e2505t thanks for not coming home tonight. Fame changes people,” she added.
Lohan later made a specific reference to a “Russian hooker” and even included her Instagram handle as part of her rant.
A few hours after Lindsay made these comments, police were called to the couple’s London apartment.
According to various witness accounts, Lohan and Tarabasov got into a physical fight, as the former was seen screaming that the latter had strangled her and tried to kill her.
It’s safe to say the two have hit a very rough patch in their relationship.
No arrests were made, however, and Lohan eventually flew back to the United States by herself.
She also took critics to task for judging her relationship, telling people to please go mind their own business…
… even though she was the one who publicized her romantic difficulties in the first place.
And now Lohan has finally come to that realization herself.
“Dear friends. I’m good and well,” Lohan wrote yesterday on Instagram.
“I am taking time for myself with good friends. I am sorry that I’ve exposed certain private matters recently. I was acting out of fear and sadness… We all make mistakes.
“Sadly mine have always been so public.”
Lohan included the following photo with her Mea Culpa.
She also continued:
“I have done a lot of soul searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have.
“Social media comes with the territory of the business and the world we now live in. My intentions were not meant to send mixed messages. Maybe things can be fixed… Maybe not.. I hope they can.
“But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant Life is about love and light. Not anger Thank you to those who stand by my side.”
Among those standing by her side is Michael Lohan, who threatened Egor Tarabasov soon after his fight with Lohan’s daughter.
We never thought we’d say this, but we do hope Lindsay Lohan turns her life around.
As she notes, she’s only 30 years old. There’s plenty of time for a second act.

Russell Wilson Just Destroyed This Girl"s Hopes and Dreams
Russell Wilson is doing pretty darn well for himself at the moment.
First, the quarterback went ahead and got married to Ciara.
Then, he went ahead and had sex with Ciara. A lot of sex with Ciara, based on the couple"s latest Snapchat video.
But while Wilson is having the time of his life, the athletic star"s cutest little fan is now in a very bad place.
And we can"t help but laugh over it.
In a video shared on Facebook, a very young woman Kaia bursts into tears after her mother, Antoinette, informs her of the latest Wilson news:
"I don"t know, but if you heard on the news today, Russell Wilson got married – to Ciara," the mother says.
Cue total and complete bawling.
Wilson, of course, was also married from 2012 through 2014.
But perhaps Kaia was too young to be aware of that union at the time.
According to Fox Q13, the local news station in Kaia"s hometown of Olympia, Washington, the infant had fantasies of wanting to marry Russell for about a year now.
"Don"t be sad Kaia we can still watch him on TV," Antoinette says.
We somehow doubt that"s gonna comfort Kaia.
But maybe this will: she isn"t alone!
Remember the equally adorable girl who shed endless tears over Adam Levine"s marriage? In case you do not…
That girl ended up okay in the end.
And you will, too, Kaia. Even if it doesn"t feel that way right now.

Scott Disick Hopes He"s the Father of Khloe Kardashian"s Baby!
Did you hear the news that Khloe Kardashian is pregnant?
I know, it’s crazy, but that’s what Life & Style is reporting.
But that’s not all. The magazine additionally lists a number of men who could potentially be the father.
Among the possibilities: Lamar Odom (natch), Odell Beckham, Jr., French Montana, James Harden and Scott Disick.

It’s the first we’ve even heard an inkling that Scott and Khloe have been doing the horizontal mambo, but maybe the graphic designer at the mag just needed to fill up that fifth space.
Scott himself learned that he’s on the short list of Khloe’s baby daddy possibilities, and took to Instagram to address the rumor.
He shared a shot of the magazine cover above and wrote, “Got my fingers crossed!”
Har-har.
If Scott indeed was the father of Khloe’s spawn, it would convolute the Kardashian family tree even more than it already is.
The new baby would simultaneously be the sibling and cousin to Scott’s kids with Kourtney Kardashian: Mason, Penelope and Reign.
On a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Scott called Khloe his “best friend” after she called him out for acting super broody at dinner.
Best friends with benefits? Doubtful.
Khloe’s pregnancy is doubtful as well, but sources say she has frozen her eggs and wants to have a baby soon.
Guess we’ll have to wait to see who she picks as the sperm donor.

Sarah Palin Hopes to Make Like Judge Judy
Sarah Palin is preparing to trade in her parka for a robe.
The controversial Conservative, who is no longer a contributor on Fox News, has signed a contract with a production company named Warm Springs with the goal of starring in a Judge Judy-like reality series next year.
“It’s a production deal,” a source tells People of Palin’s proposal to preside over a court room. “What happens next is she’ll meet with stations, make a pilot and sell it.”
Warm Springs went to Palin with this idea in 2015 and the company has since put together a team that includes the television executive who found Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown.
Both of those individuals were actual judges before they became reality TV stars, of course.
Palin is neither a judge nor a lawyer.
“Palin’s telegenic personality, wide appeal and common sense wisdom make her a natural for this kind of format and she was Warm Springs’ top pick for this project,” the insider adds.
The proposed talk show would debut some time in 2017.
At the moment, Palin is in Alaska, caring for her husband Todd. He suffered serious injuries on March in a scary snowmobile accident.

Bethenny Frankel Confirms Mystery Illness, Hopes to Set Positive Example
As hinted at in the first trailer for The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8, Bethenny Frankel is battling a pretty serious medical issue at the moment.
But that’s all the reality star will really say about her condition at the moment.
“I’m facing a women’s health issue that many women can relate to,” Frankel told People this week, refusing to divulge anything further.
Despite offering few details, Bethenny says she hopes those who watch The Real Housewives of New York City online or on television will learn from her example.
“I’m dealing with it head on and viewers will understand how I personally deal with matters such as this,” Frankel says. “I hope women can relate, learn and support each other in life moments like this.”
We sincerely hope Bethenny is okay.
But is she using her illness as a way to tease new episodes of her reality show?
Because that’s pretty low, even for a Real Housewife of Bravo.
In the aforementioned trailer for The Real Housewives of New York City, Frankel was seen reacting to frightening news related to this topic, tearfully saying, “I have to do surgery” and that she needs to explore a “living will.”
The Real Housewives of New York City returns April 6 at 9/8c on Bravo.

Kristin Cavallari Hopes For No "Extreme Highs and Lows" in 2016
If anyone is ready to usher in a new year, it’s this girl.
Kristin Cavallari shared a photo of herself on New Year’s Eve with husband Jay Cutler, recapping for fans how she felt about going out that night, and what her year has been like.
“Last night was the second time I’ve put makeup on in over 5 weeks and left the house (besides the grocery store and taking Cam to school),” Cavallari wrote on Instagram.
“Even though I shed a few tears, it was a really nice night and felt good to be out. 2015 brought my sweet, baby girl but it also took my brother’s life.
“Hoping for no extreme highs and lows this year. Happy new year, everyone.”
Cavallari’s brother Michael, died on December 10th after he went missing two weeks earlier; Authorities found the 30-year-old’s body in the desert of Grand County, Utah.
Though an autopsy hasn’t revealed a cause of death, officials believe it was due to severe weather conditions and hypothermia, since temperatures in the area Michael was found can dip to the teens at night.
On a lighter note, Cavallari took the New Year opportunity to motivate her followers with an inspirational quote, “3 months from now, you will thank yourself.”
“First day back in the gym since having Saylor,” the reality star wrote. “Let’s do this. Who is with me?!”

Martin Sheen Hopes "This is the First Day of the Rest of Charlie Sheen"s Life as a Free Man"
Like most of us, Martin Sheen watched the Today show on Tuesday, November 17th, waiting for his son, Charlie to reveal that he was HIV-Positive.
“He had been leading up to this sort of story for several months, and we kept encouraging him to do it,” Martin Sheen told the audience Tuesday night at CME Group’s Global Financial Leadership Conference, held at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, FL.
“And he kept backing away and backing away because it was like going to his own execution, I guess.”
The elder Sheen, who has been sober since 1989, has stood by Charlie, along with his wife, Janet; they weren’t sure at first if their son was going to end up making the announcement.
“We didn’t know until he walked on the set this morning that he was going to do it,” Sheen said, according to the Naples Daily News.
“I saw him Saturday night, my wife and I went to see him, to make sure he knew we were behind him, and if he wanted me to go, I would have canceled this event. He said, no, this was his and his alone.”
Sheen got a bit choked up recalling the interview with Matt Lauer.
“I can’t speak for him of course. Sorry,” he said. “As a father, I dare say that if I were to ask, just a general question in this room, how many of you have children or spouses or nieces, nephews, uncles, clients, who are dealing with drugs or alcohol. I dare say that there isn’t a person in here that wouldn’t raise their hand.”
Sheen’s words made an impact on the audience as he talked about coping with and overcoming addiction, a battle Charlie has publicly struggled with.
“When someone comes to them-self, they have the moment of clarity, and they reveal their secrets — which all of us have — in public, it is a great sense of relief. It is a miraculous occasion.
“This morning, as I watched him alone, reveal his deepest, darkest secret, I couldn’t believe the level of courage I was witnessing, and that it was my son.”
“I left him a message, and I said that if I had that much courage, I would change the world,” Sheen said.
“I hope that this day is the first day of the rest of Charlie’s life as a free man.”
