Kim Kardashian: Not Invited to ANY Oscar Parties?!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may be back together, but that doesn’t mean they’re back on top.

In years past, Kimye was a constant presence at big awards season events, but this time around, the couple wasn’t spotted working a single red carpet or after-party.

And according to a new report from Radar Online, it’s not for lack of trying:

“Kim was hoping to go to the Vanity Fair party, or really any party,” a source close to the Kardashians tells the site. “But she didn’t receive an invitation.”

Instead of hobnobbing with the rich and famous, Kim and Kanye reportedly spent the evening on the couch, likely rocking matching pairs of $ 3,000 Yeezy sweatpants:

“They watched the show at home,” the insider says.

“Kim is often reminded that she is not a real star when she goes to any of these things, but she and Kanye really wanted to have a fun night out.”

Yes, the Kim Kardashian sex tape may have been a hit online, but surprisingly, it hasn’t earned Kim much praise from critics.

This isn’t the first year that the Wests have sat out the awards season party circuit, but the source says they were hoping to send a message by attending some of 2017’s biggest events.

Kanye was hospitalized following an emotional breakdown back in November, and there have been murmurs about the state of his mental health ever since.

On top of that, Kim and Kanye divorce rumors have been flooding social media non-stop.

Popping up at a few red carpet soirees would have been an easy way for the couple to reassure fans and garner a few good headlines for a change.

Interestingly, Kim’s not the only member of her family to feel put-off by Hollywood’s biggest night.

Production sources say Kris Jenner threw a tantrum while covering the red carpet for E! News.

The infamous momager was reportedly pissed that she wasn’t informed about the blue ribbons celebs were wearing to show their support for the ACLU.

Jenner felt that she was made to look like a fool for asking about the significance of the ribbon on air.

Sounds like the Trumps might not be the only family who chooses not to tune in to next year’s ceremony.

Casey Affleck Oscar Win: Slammed By Brie Larson, Twitter

There’s no contest with regard to the most memorable moment from the 2017 Academy Awards,

That title goes to the jaw-dropping “Steve Harvey moment” that ended the night, as presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced La La Land as Best Picture, when the award actually belonged to Moonlight.

But while that epic goof-up might be grabbing the majority of today’s headlines, it wasn’t the only controversial moment surrounding one of the night’s top prizes.

Casey Affleck took home the Best Actor Oscar for his heart-wrenching performance in Manchester By the Sea, but not everyone was thrilled to see the 41-year-old step out from under his older brother’s shadow.

The dark cloud of some heinous sexual harassment accusations loomed large over Affleck’s Oscar campaign, and many felt the actor should be removed from consideration as a result.

The alleged incidents took place in 2010, while Affleck was directing the mockumentary film I’m Still Here with his then-brother-in-law, Joaquin Phoenix.

The matter was settled out of court, but Affleck’s accusers maintain that he abused his power and persistently subjected them to harassment and other inappropriate behavior.

As is customary, Affleck’s award was presented by Brie Larson, who took home the Best Actress prize for Room at last year’s awards.

Larson played a sexual assault survivor in the film and she’s been an outspoken advocate for victims’ rights throughout her career.

Needless to say, the Academy’s decision to put her in a position where she would be presenting an award to an alleged sexual predator didn’t sit well with many viewers.

Larson’s apparent disdain for Affleck, however, was widely praised:

Many noted that Larson didn’t applaud when Affleck received his award, and it’s being widely interpreted as the actress’ way of subtly protesting the win.

“Y’all made Brie Larson, an advocate for sexual assault survivors, present Casey Affleck, a sexual predator, with an Oscar,” tweeted one viewer.

Another wrote simply:

“BRIE LARSON NOT CLAPPING IS MY HERO”

Affleck’s nomination sparked countless debates about where the arts community should draw the line in terms of behavior so inexcusable that it should end a career.

That debate will likely rage on following his win last night.

But at least those who were outraged by Affleck’s victory can take solace in knowing that however subtle her understated her show of disapproval may have been, Brie Larson made her feelings known on the night’s biggest stage.

Oscar Nominees Read Mean Tweets: Go F--k Yourself, Ryan Gosling!

The moment that stole the show at the 2017 Academy Awards was a decidedly unscripted one:

The announcement for the night"s top honor was botched in epic fashion, leading to La La Land being announced as Best Picture, when the voters had actually selected Moonlight.

But once it was all sorted out and the Steve Harvey jokes were made, the right film took home the Oscar, and everyone was happy.

Well, except for the people who were digitally roasted in the evening"s Mean Tweets segment.

If you"re a regular Jimmy Kimmel Live! viewer, you know that the late night host and noted Matt Damon hater regularly has celebrities read Twitter"s harshest burns about themselves on his show.

Last night, he subjected recent Oscar nominees to the same treatment, and while the tweets were arguably milder than usual, it was still fun to see Hollywood"s best and brightest react to harsh observations to the tune of "Everybody Hurts."

"Samuel L. Jackson has resting fart face," tweeted one online insult comic.

"Emma Stone looks like a crack whore in every role she plays," observed another aspiring Don Rickles.

Of course, real talent is when you can use one Oscar winner to insult another, like the hero who tweeted:

"Casey Affleck is the real life version of Billy Bob Thornton"s character in Sling Blade."

God bless you, sir.

Check out the rest of the roast in the clip below.

You"ll never look at Lin-Manuel Miranda"s haircut the same again:

2017 Oscar Predictions: Will La La Land Set a Record?

La La Land is one of the most successful movies of the year.

It"s evident that it"s going to be a force to be reckoned with at the 2017 Academy Awards.

But will it win EVERYthing? Scroll down for our predictions.

1. Best Picture: La La Land

La la land ryan and emma

La La Land has been critically and commercially successful since it was released and for good reason. It has already racked up a string of awards and nominations. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone have this one in the can.

2. Best Director: La La Land

Damien chazelle attends dinner

Damien Chazelle is up against some stiff competition in this category, but there’s no denying that La La Land was a visual masterpiece. He should have no trouble eking out the win.

3. Best Actor: Casey Affleck

Casey affleck image

The only real competition in this category is between Casey Affleck and Denzel Washington. With Casey’s continued praise, he seems poised to take the win.

4. Best Actress: Emma Stone

Emma turned in a riveting performance in La La Land. In fact, she turns in a perfect performance whichever movie she appears in. Trust us, this one is as slam dunk as they come.

5. Best Supporting Actor: Dev Patel

Dev patel attends unicef event

Patel has come a long way since his days of playing an angsty teen on Skins. He should win this award for his performance in Lion.

6. Best Supporting Actress: Viola Davis

Viola is an awards darling who continues to move from a successful movie to another. Her career has been great and her performance in Fences shows that she is showing no signs of slowing down.

Oscar Nominations 2017: Shocks! Snubs! Screwjobs!

The nominations are in…

… and the complaining can now begin!

Earlier today, the world was made aware of which movies, actors and actresses will compete at the 2017 Academy Awards.

But we"re more focused right now on which movies, actors and actresses will NOT be competing. That is, who got snubbed the hardest?!?

And these nominees are…

1. Amy Adams, Arrival

Amy adams arrival

What?!? We thought she’d actually win Best Actress… and she’s not even nominated?!? We adore Meryl Streep, but she doesn’t need to be up for every single role she takes on. Come on now!

2. Sully

Sully

Clint Eastwood directed. Tom Hanks starred. And yet nothing at all came this drama’s way.

3. Silence

Silence

Over the last 16 years, the only Martin Scorsese movie that failed to earn a Best Picture no was Shutter Island. We can now add Silence to the list.

4. Annette Bening, 20th Century Women

Annette bening 20th century women

Sorry, Steep. But Bening was more deserved for her portrait here of an eccentric single mom.

5. Deadpool

Deadpool

Didn’t the Oscars expand the Best Picture category to 10 potential nominees in order to include more commercial films such as Deadpool? Why make that move and then NOT nominate this fun superhero flick?

6. Rogue One

Rogue one

We also would have accepted Rogue One as the mainstream movie nominated for Best Picture.
