Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes: Being Photoshopped Was an Outrage!

A couple of weeks ago, Riverdale stars Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart called out a magazine for photoshopping their already slender figures into a sharper hourglass.

These talented, gorgeous actresses are now sharing what drove them to speak out and why this kind of image-altering is so harmful.

Hear what they have to say in the video below.

Camila mendes with lili reinhart

Riverdale"s cultural impact cannot be denied.

The CW series, with its surreal setting and Twin Peaks vibe, reaches a wide audience and draws countless viewers from coveted demographics. And it"s a show with a surprising amount of depth.

(Seriously — I have a friend who does lengthy fashion recaps of every episode, just for fun)

Two of those stars, Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart, who play Veronica and Betty (respectively), are using their platform to call out the obscene body standards that still exist in the fashion industry.

Now, both talented actresses are speaking up about how their photos were altered … and what motivated them to speak out.

Camila mendes photoshop fail

Camila spoke to E! about seeing her body warped beyond recognition on the cover of Cosmopolitan Philippines.

"The minute I saw it, I screenshotted it and sent it to Lili. I"m like, "dude, have you seen this?" She was like, "No.""

That must have been shocking for both of them, especially since the phtoos of them did not receive that same treatment when they were first published (as you can see on the left).

"And I was like, "What do you think we should do?" She was like, "We should say something." And I"m like, "You"re right.""

It"s good that they coordinated with each other a little.

"So we both just set out to do everything … I didn"t even talk to my publicist, either. I just straight up …"

Lili reinhart photoshop fail

Though it was Camila who first called Lili"s attention to it, Camila says that it was Lili who first decided to speak up.

"Well, she said it first, so I was like, "I"m gonna say something, too, because this involves me as well.""

They didn"t spend a lot of time deliberating whether or not to post about it.

"It came so naturally for us. There almost wasn"t a second thought."

In fact, Camila questions how anyone could remain silent when they see their own bodies twisted like that on a magazine cover.

"How could you not say something about that?"

She also felt that, if she didn"t call attention to it, she might be complicit in a deception.

"I didn"t want other people to think that that was my body."

Lili reinhart and camila mendes comiccon

Camila explains why this really struck a nerve with her.

"That"s just a personal thing, too, because sometimes you hear about people who aren"t comfortable showing their bodies on screen. So they have somebody else be their body-double and stuff."

Body doubles aren"t just for nude scenes — they can be for non-nude shower scenes or for romantic scenes. But Camila would never go for that.

"No matter what, I would never feel comfortable with that. Even if their body"s, like, ten times skinnier or more fit, whatever, it doesn"t matter. My body is my body, and I want people to know that this face goes with this body."

That is very understandable.

Lili Reinhart spoke to E!, also, saying:

"Cami"s actually the one who showed me the photos. And I was really just kind of appalled."

It cannot be easy to see your own body twisted like that.

"I just really felt the need to speak up about it because I talk about everything else very openly."

And she explains exactly why this is personal for her.

Camila mendes and lili reinhart

"As women — and even men — we struggle with our bodies every day when you look in the mirror, and especially when you"re put in the spotlight."

That"s absolutely true. For women, for men, for other folks, and especially for celebrities.

"People will critique your outfits, your skin, your body, your hair, whatever. It"s a battle for me every day to accept what I am and my flaws and know that I can"t change certain parts about me, and that"s fine."

Self-acceptance is a long journey, even for the stunningly beautiful.

"I"m presenting myself to the world as I am, and so, for someone to photoshop that, it"s just insulting."

Beyonce Twins: Was Their Debut Picture Photoshopped?

You didn’t think Beyonce would be able to simply debut her twins without any controversy, did you?

You didn’t think the Queen of All Everything would be permitted to simply stand and slay and introduce little Sir and Rumi to the world without morons online having their annoying say, did you?

Come on.

This is the Internet.

On Friday morning, Beyonce finally debuted her babies, confirming the names above and also confirming that they were born on June 13.

“Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” the 35-year-old artist captured the snapshot, which instantly went viral and nearly caused the entire World Wide Web to come crashing down.

The gorgeous picture features Beyonce standing in front of the ocean, along with a large number of flowers, while staring seriously into the camera and holding both newborns in her two arms.

Her left leg is sticking out in its entirety and we can see her sleek stomach and her exposed upper chest.

She looks amazing.

According to E! News, the flowing, ruffled, full-length silk floral jacket on Beyonce’s body was designed by Palomo Spain designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo.

The original ensemble was part of the company’s spring/summer 2017 collection – and it was actually first modeled by a man in the brand’s catalog.

Beyonce reportedly asked for the piece to be transformed into a gown prior to announcing her pregnancy.

And, according to some dumb people on the Internet, Beyonce Photoshopped this image.

A few supposedly astute users have taken a very close look at the photograph above and claimed there’s something amiss with the corners.

“Look at the shadows,” wrote a Twitter trolled named Slayride_87. “They don’t match up.”

Another person with way too much time on his or her hands, meanwhile, claims it appears as if one of the babies has two left hands, joining the chorus of those who think Beyonce manufactured this picture.

Why would Beyonce Photoshop this picture?

For the record, we don’t believe she did so.

But multiple sources have reported that the twins suffered a minor health problem shortly after they were born, likely due to Beyonce giving birth about a week or so prior to her due date.

The little girl and little boy remained in the hospital for several days after entering the world.

This new conspiracy theory wants everyone else to believe that there’s something wrong with the babies and Beyonce staged this photo to make it seem otherwise.

She wants her fans to believe everything is fine and normal and healthy and beautiful.

The critics circulating this chatter are probably the same ones who claimed Beyonce was faking her first pregnancy.

We have no idea why so many fools out there question such obvious and special developments in Beyonce’s life, but the best guess is sheer jealousy.

Few superstars have as sterling a reputation as Beyonce and a few morons out there probably just want to bring her down a few pegs.

Thankfully, they are in the minority.

The twins photo featured here earned nearly nine million Likes in just 24 hours, making it on pace to become the most-Liked Instagram photo of all-time.

Yes, ALL-TIME.

This means Beyonce need not say a single word in order to shoot down the haters. The (REAL!) picture and the reaction it continues to garner online can speak for itself.

Take that, trolls. Go back into hiding.

Kim Kardashian Trolls Haters: Is THIS Photoshopped, Too?!?

Kim Kardashian is not just back on social media, following a lengthy hiatus as a result of that scary armed robbery back in October.

She’s back on social media… and apparently better than ever!

The 36-year old mother of two has always been known as a frequent poster on Instagram and Facebook, but not exactly as a humorous one.

Until now!

In response to critics over the years who have often claimed that Kardashian relies on editing and/or Photoshop to manipulate various pictures, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star recently jumped on Snapchat.

Sharing an image of her body that’s clearly warped around her waist and rear end, Kim wrote:

“Haters will say it’s photoshopped.”

Get it?!?

Because this one actually is photoshopped!

It’s not the best joke we’ve ever heard.

But it may very well be the best Kim Kardashian joke we’ve ever heard.

Take a look below at the picture in question:

Typically, Khloe Kardashian is the sibling best known for cracking wise.

Kourtney, on occasion, will make light of a situation or make us smirk on Twitter or Instagram.

But Kim? Even the most loyal supporters have to admit that her personality is a tad wooden. She hasn’t amassed so many followers due to her penchant for making anyone laugh.

She’s amassed so many followers by showing off her cleavage a lot and…

… well, that’s just about it.

Since the calendar flipped to 2017, Kim has at least reached back out on occasion to her dedicated fan base.

Late last month, for example, she shared new photos of son Saint West, who really is quite the cutie.

This rare glimpse at her son caused a frenzy online, garnering nearly two million Likes in just a few hours.

Say what you want about Kim (please, go right ahead!) but that is a seriously amazing accomplishment.

Expect to see and hear a lot more from Kardashian and her relatives over the next several weeks, as Keeping Up with the Kardashians kicks off a new season this Sunday, March 12.

We’ll hear directly from Kim about the robbery on Season 13, while also watch as Khloe’s romance with Tristan Thompson heats up and Scott Disick kisses Kourtney.

FOR REAL!

Prepare to DVR, go watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online via our friends at TV Fanatic and we’ll meet you back here next week to talk all about it.

Kim Kardashian Brags Over Waist, Asks: Don"t I Look Photoshopped?

Kim Kardahian is just trolling us at this point.

There’s no other explanation.

For months, Kardashian has been desperate to lose all the weight she gained during her second pregnancy.

She’s been talking about it non-stop, she’s been saying how difficult this task is, she’s been setting a horrendous example for new mothers around the world by focusing so very much on her figure.

And this has taken place while other famous new mothers have send inspiring messages that contrast with that of Kardashian.

Anne Hathaway, for example, penned an Instagram post this week that reads as follows:

“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).”

She added: “Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.)”

After that, Blake Lively appeared on an Australian morning program and was given a compliment over her bikini-ready body.

But she used this opportunity to make plea similar to the one made by Hathaway.

“You don’t need to be Victoria’s Secret ready right away because you just did the most incredible miracle that life has to offer,” Lively said of the pressure on women to shed pounds after giving birth.

Practically speaking directly to Kardashian, she concluded:

“You gave birth to a human being! So I would really like to see that celebrated [instead of the subsequent weight loss.”

Damn right, Anne and Blake!

Let’s compare this to what Kardashian has had to say on the matter, shall we?

In a series of Snapchat videos on Wednesday, Kim stood inside a department store and bragged over her miniscule figure.

In the most obnoxious way she possibly could.

“You guys, doesn’t my waist look Photoshopped?” she asked while wearing a fitted little black dress and admiring herself in a mirror.

“It’s so crazy! It’s getting small!”

How can anyone watch this video and not want to slack the living heck out of Kardashian?

This is the same person who actually told fans to pray for her weight loss in April.

“It’s a challenge,” she said at the time. “We just got back from our family vacation and every day, we were up early working out.”

Yes, Kim was complaining about the “challenge” of getting up early to hit the gym during a vacation to a five-star resort in Vail, Colorado.

Kim wrote the following as a caption to this rage-inducing footage:

#kim #kimkardashian #kimkardashianwest #kimksnapchat #kimksnapchats #kimkardashiansnapchat #kkw #girls #beauty #london #paris #milan #newyork #la #miami #atlanta #snapchat #kimye #glam #beauty #makeup #kuwtk #fashion #style #ootd #yeezy

Kardashian also shared a Snapchat photo on Wednesday of her weight on the scale (124.6 pounds), revealing that she’s just four pounds from her goal weight.

We have no idea why anyone would care about this.

Nor we are telling Kim not to lose weight if she wants to. We’re just telling her to shut the eff up about it.

On August 8, she wrote a blog entry that talked about her goals about giving birth on December 5:

“I was motivated, but it was tough!.

“It isn’t easy to just bounce back. I was so jealous of women who had these cute little baby bellies and would gain 25 pounds — and then, a few weeks after giving birth, somehow look exactly like they did before they were pregnant …

“That’s not me.”

Hey, Kim: You should instead be jealous of Hathaway and Lively, two women who had a baby and now have enough perspective to not care so much about getting back to any kind of old weight.

Kourtney Kardashian PHOTOSHOPPED Latest Butt Pic, Expert Says

For many years, Kourtney Kardashian was regarded as one of the more modest of the Kardashian sisters.

As a mom of three in a long-term relationship, she previously left the gratuitous boob and butt pics to her exhibitionist siblings.

But ever since she dumped Scott Disick, we’ve seen a lot more of Kourt, literally speaking.

However, her latest butt selfie (pictured above) may have caused more controversy than it was worth.

First, fans criticized her for writing “Eski-ho” in the comments section, a made-up phrase many considered both sexist and racist.

But now, celebrity photographer Alan Barry has blown the whistle on the belfie and accused Kourtney of heavily editing the pic, reported Radar Online.

According to the Photoshop expert, the eldest Kardashian significantly altered her butt, thighs, waist and face to bring it to the near-perfect state we see in the pic.

“Her right thigh has been badly blurred,” said Barry.

“When you blow the image up, you can see the noise in the blue pool,” he explained.

“When you blur an area you kill the noise, and that is ridiculously obvious under her left butt cheek and her whole right thigh.”

Barry also suspects that she used editing tools to create a slimmer waist.

“There are some very questionable artifacts around her waist on the left, and the right,” he said.

“The blackness has weird shading that would result when an area has been badly edited,” he continued. “The shadow on the left side that literally disappears as it traverses downward.”

“The last couple of stripes on the edge of garment appear to float out in to space as if there was an edit that wasn’t completed, such as pulling in her waist.”

Moving north, Barry also claims that alterations were made to Kourtney’s face.

“I get that none of this clan leaves the house without 2 hours in make-up, but it is unfortunately well documented that she has dark bags under her eyes,” he claimed.

“This shot is beyond make-up,” he said in conclusion. “Overall, this image is an embarrassment.”

Kerry Washington Slams Adweek for Photoshopped Cover

A scandal is brewing around the star of Scandal.

Kerry Washington is the latest celebrity to take a magazine to task for altering her appearance to an extreme degree via Photoshop.

In this case, the beloved actress is covering the latest issue of Adweek.

At least we think that’s Washington on the cover. It’s hard to say for certain.

“I have to be honest… I was taken aback by the cover,” Washington wrote on social media in response to the picture, adding:

“Look, I’m no stranger to Photoshopping. It happens a lot. In a way, we have become a society of picture adjusters – who doesn’t love a filter?!?

“And I don’t always take these adjustments to task but I have had the opportunity to address the impact of my altered image in the past and I think it’s a valuable conversation.”

In early March, Lena Dunham went off on a Spanish publication for the way in which it digitally altered a picture of her body on its cover.

Zendaya Coleman has also been open about how she wants to keep it real in all images.

“I just felt weary,” Washington added of seeing the photo above for the first time.

“It felt strange to look at a picture of myself that is so different from what I look like when I look in the mirror. It’s an unfortunate feeling.”

The actress, who we adore any time we watch Scandal online or on television, wanted to leave her rant on a positive note, however:

“That being said. You all have been very kind and supportive. Also, as I’ve said, I’m very proud of the article.”

Jennifer Lawrence Gets Photoshopped By the Internet, Hilarity Ensues

We"ve seen minor controversies regarding Jennifer Lawrence and Photoshop in the past.

(We"ve also seen MAJOR controversies surrounding non-photoshopped pics of Jennifer Lawrence, but let"s leave the Fappening in the past.)

In fact, most stories about celebs and Photoshop involve some sort of outrage, so let"s just sit back and appreciate the fact that some folks on Reddit and Twitter took a pic of J-Law getting startled by a tape measure and decided to use the power of re-touching for good instead cellulite-erasing.

They"ve given us the sight of Jen sucking at Jenga, clearing a massive bong hit, and fighting Agent Smith from The Matrix, and for that, we thank them. Enjoy!

1. Jennifer Lawrence and a Tape Measure

Jennifer lawrence and a tape measure

Jennifer Lawrence got startled by a tape measure. The Internet did what it does and ‘shopped the pic into comic gold.

2. Jen-Travolta

Jen travolta

We don’t blame Jen for looking frightened here. Let’s just be glad this pic is fake.

3. Jen Uses the Force

Jen uses the force

Hopefully J-Law will be cast in the next Star Wars film. We’d cll her character Qui-Gonn Jen.

4. Jen Plays Jenga

Jen plays jenga

Maybe Jenga isn’t Jen’s strong suit. In fairness, playing it outside is just asking for a slight breeze to come along and ruin your day.

5. Jennifer Lawrence: Berry Frightened

Jennifer lawrence berry frightened

Jen does some produce shopping. We’ve never seen anyone look at a berry quite like that.

6. Jen on the French Horn

Jen tries out for the school band. Maybe people play French horn after they graduate, but we doubt it.

Britney Spears Posts Insane Bikini Photo: Hot or Photoshopped?

Britney Spears may have reached the stage in her life where she just has zero f–ks to give.

Last month, we saw Britney dance in her underwear on Instagram. Prior to that she expressed her desire for a nerd with a big penis with a live concert audience. Now, she’s celebrating the start of spring with a racy bikini photo:

Yesterday, he 34-year-old singer posted the photo above with a caption reading, “Just chilling.”

Obviously, Brit’s Vegas residency is keeping her in incredible shape, but not surprisingly, there are those who believe Ms. Spears is receiving a bit of digital assistance here.

We’re not so quick to cry foul on Britney’s incredibly tiny waist, but we can see why others might have a hard time believing it.

Britney takes the stage in front of a packed house several nights a week, and there’s no Photoshop on stage.

It’s hard to imagine a woman who publicly sports skimpy attire on a regular basis taking the time to edit a bikini selfie for her Instagram followers.

Plus, we imagine the physical demands of her show help to keep everything taut.

So if you were wondering how to get in shape quick in time for swimsuit season, just get yourself a steady gig performing for thousands of tourists every night. It’s that easy!

Princess Charlotte: Photoshopped on Royal Family Christmas Card?!

Kate Middleton, Prince William and their children pretty much make the perfect family … but was their perfect Christmas portrait doctored?

Yes, this is a serious debate happening on social media.

Many Royal Family fans feel that Princess Charlotte, or at least her head, was photoshopped into the official photo released last week.

Charlotte’s “recycled” ensemble in William and Kate’s Christmas portrait was quickly noted, but whatever, all babies re-wear clothes.

However, people started “observing” that Charlotte’s head is clearly defined in the picture, yet the area around her head is a bit fuzzy.

Supposedly. The rumors began to swirl, in any event, and Elliot Wagland, Photo Editor of Huffington Post UK and AOL, weighed in.

“Something is wrong with this (photoshopped) picture of the royal family,” he wrote on Twitter, taking the “scandal” to a new level.

Then BuzzFeed did a whole story on this in BuzzFeed fashion. “We’re not the only ones to notice something is afoot,” the site declared.

“Why is her head so clear and the area around it so blurry?”

The Christmas photo has been dissected, enlarged and analyzed countless times, and frankly, the “evidence” is flimsy at best.

For one, the supposed blurriness around the cutie’s neck is only visible whilst zooming in so far that the whole image is blurry.

Secondly, there are other imperfections, if you will, such as Charlotte adorably losing a shoe and William not looking at the camera.

Any family of four – particularly ones who own humans under the age of three – know it’s next to impossible to get everyone to look.

Finally, even if there were airbrushing, filtering or photoshop involved … this distinguishes the royals from exactly no one in this era.

You don’t even need photoshop these days. Technology on every hand-held device lets you enhance and edit photos in about 10 seconds.

Seriously, the drama over Kate Middleton’s bangs and her oft-debated holiday plans are more interesting as royal non-scandals go.

A Palace spokesperson told BuzzFeed that the royal family had no comment … but reportedly laughed out loud when asked. LOL indeed.

Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner to Sue Over Photoshopped Domestic Violence Images

Obviously, Kim Kardashian is no stranger to Photoshop, but usually the software is used to accentuate her curves or remove blemishes.

It seems Kim and her catwalking half-sister Kendall Jenner are none too thrilled with a recent activist art project in which their photos were re-touched in order to make it look as though they’ve been victims of domestic violence.

AleXsandro Palombo, who started the #StopViolenceAgainstWomen campaign last month says he used photos of prominent women like Kim and Kendall in order to underscore the point that abuse can happen to anyone:

“The biggest accomplice of violence is the silence, a silence which every year kills or causes permanent disability more than diseases or accidents,” Palombo said in a statement.

“Domestic violence is a social cancer that knows no boundaries nor social status, it can affect anyone, whether you’re an ordinary person or a celebrity.”

Sources say Kim and Kendall fully support the goals of the campaign, but they’re pissed that the images were used without their permission, and they’ve already threatened Palombo with a lawsuit.

Despite their reputations as entitled do-nothings, the Kardashians frequently perform charity work and they’ve often spoken out on important issues like domestic violence in the past.

Their names and likenesses are their livelihoods, so it’s easy to see why they’d want their pics removed from the campaign’s website, but given the importance of Palombo’s efforts, we hope they can work something out with the artist.
