Last night on Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 12 Episode 15, the aftermath of Khloe and Lamar"s second split finally aired.
In a word, it was heartbreaking and bittersweet.
Okay, that"s two words … and we could write two hundred words on the subject, if not two thousand. Khlomar is nothing if not komplicated.
Eh? See what we did there with the "k" theme? Anyway …
There was a lot going on in this episode, from Kris Jenner trying to keep up with her daughters physically to Scott trying to bone Kourtney.
Khloe"s struggle with Lamar was the crux of it, though.
The emotional crux, anyway; Khloe filed for divorce, again, and you could tell just how painful the entire experience has been on her.
"I"m finalizing my divorce papers today with my lawyer, again, for the second time," she explained. "Lamar and I have spoken about it."
"We"re both on board. Regardless if Lamar and I have spoken about it and that we"re on the same page, it"s still bittersweet," she added.
"I was holding out to help Lamar but Lamar"s not helping himself so I have to do what"s best for me and move on and just be done."
"There"s no reason to hold on to this," she mused, because she"s done everything she can and then some for her troubled husband.
"It will always be love and I will always like love Lamar and be his friend but it"s time for me to start the next chapter of my life."
Incredibly, she means it when she says she"ll always be there for Odom. She references paperwork guaranteeing exactly that …
Khloe actually had a legal agreement drafted so that legally, if Lamar ever found himself in another huge health scare, she can help.
She will still be able to assist him and make medical decisions for him "no matter our marital status," she says, and well, we"re speechless.
In a positive way.
Sure, we watch Keeping Up the Kardashians online and mock it endlessly for all the reasons we should. But this is extraordinary of her.
Given all that Khloe has been put through, it"s hard to imagine anyone in her position going out of her way to be so loving and selfless.
Would you be?
No one can deny how hard she fought for her marriage the first time, or fought for her spouse again after he overdosed at that brothel.
Now, even though she"s decided once more that things will never be the same between them, she"s still making it clear she"s in his camp.
Respect, girl.
