Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Celebrate July 4, Manage to Avoid Assaulting Each Other
We give up.
When it comes to the relationship between Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, we just… give up.
You can go ahead and try to figure these two out; we’re just gonna sit back and eat some hot dogs on this special birthday.
Indeed, the Jersey Shore cast member and his on-again/off-again/on-again/off-again girlfriend apparently put their differences aside on Wednesday in order to celebrate America.
Ortiz-Magro shared a photo on Instagram Stories this morning of himself and Harley snuggled close, flag-themed hearts floating around the duo as she made a kissy face at the camera.
“Happy independence day,” over the image.
How cute, right?
How sweet, no?
How romantic, yes?
Sure, we guess.
But that would only be true if you ignored the fact that Harley was arrested mere days ago for DRAGGING RONNIE BY A CAR in Las Vegas.
The couple had reportedly got into an argument on the way home from a barbecue and, as Ronnie tried to unbuckle his seatbelt and exit the vehicle, Harley allegedly sped away, dragging her boyfriend down the street.
She was taken into custody by local authorities, but will not be charged with any crime.
It’s important to note two things while we relay that news:
1. Harley and Ronnie are the new parents to a baby girl named Ariana; she was born on April 3. (And she was in the car at the time of the above incident.)
2. This above incident was certainly NOT the first time Ronnie and Jen got into it in a very serious manner.
In late April, Jen and Ronnie went back and forth in very ugly fashion on social media.
She accused him of cheating. He accused her of holding on to old sex tapes of herself and an ex.
Harley slammed Ronnie as a “cokehead” and deadbeat dad. Ronnie blasted Harley as a “cum dumpster.”
It was a vicious and as X-rated as nearly any viral argument we can remember — and you can relive the madness below:
There’s also a video online of Ronnie verbally attacking Harley and seemingly coming close to physical blows.
It’s troubling and scary and disturbing and you can judge it for yourself here:
Ronnie and Jen have tried to maintain a healthy relationship amidst all this craziness, mostly for the sake of their newborn.
“I remain focused on my daughter and she is my No. 1 priority,” Ronnie told us Weekly a little while back, for example.
Last we heard, however, friends were encouraging Ronnie to stay away from Harley and to even file for primary custody of Ariana.
It doesn’t look like he’s taken this advice, however, based on the first photo posted above.
We’re afraid, though.
There’s plenty of July Fourth to go and we have a feeling that if these two are together… and the alcohol is flowing… that things may get explosive between them tonight.
And not because they’ll be watching fireworks.

Lisa Edelstein: Alan Thicke Died to Avoid Donald Trump!
Lisa Edelstein is a generally lovely woman, best known for her Bravo show, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, and for playing Dr. Cuddy on House.
But today, she is known for being absolutely, unforgivably terrible.
As you’ve surely heard by now, Alan Thicke passed away on Tuesday afternoon after suffering a particularly intense heart attack.
He was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter, when he collapsed. An ambulance took him to a nearby hospital, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
It’s been a very sad time — not only did his three children lose their father, not only did his wife of 11 years lose her husband, but we all lost a beloved celebrity.
Alan Thicke is gone from this world, it’s very upsetting … and enter Lisa Edelstein.
While tons of other celebs have been sharing their own memories and condolences and the like, Lisa thought it was appropriate to share this on Twitter:
Yes, she actually did type out the words “RIP Alan Thicke. Seems like everyone is checking out before the Trumpacolypse,” and then she thought those words were good to share with the internet right now.
Where do we even start?
While we gather our thoughts, let’s check out a few responses Lisa received on Twitter.
One person pointed out that “1) he was Canadian. 2) A family lost a husband and a father. This is NOT the time for politics.”
Another described Lisa’s words as a “Soulless Tweet By Morally Bankrupt C Class ‘Celebrity."”
“The man died in front of his 17yr old son a week before Christmas, but lol Trump right?” one sassy soul tweeted.
“I’ll be embarrassed for you since you clearly lack the capacity to absorb your own insensitivity. Gross.”

Boy, you really came through on this one, Internet.
Look, we get it. The fact that Donald Trump is all set to become our actual president is upsetting and confusing and scary. And it’s OK to be scared.
But there’s a time and place for everything. There’s a time to joke, and there’s a time to be respectful, and Lisa here seems to have a hard time understanding that right now.
Hopefully she’ll be able to understand the error of her tweets, and in the future, she won’t be so insensitive.
But right now … damn, Lisa, you really deserve this dragging.

Jill & Jessa Duggar: Getting Pregnant to Avoid Getting Canceled?!
Earlier this month, we reported that Jill and Jessa Duggar are planning to get pregnant at the same time.
It’s an unorthodox approach to family planning, but we can understand why two sisters so close in age would like the idea of sharing such an intimate experience.
Jill and Jessa didn’t come right out and say that they plan to get simultaneously knocked up in the season finale of Counting On, but they strongly hinted at it.
“I think we will probably be pregnant at the same time,” Jill said, following a trip to an El Salvador orphanage.
“But to say who will be first, well Israel is older … so we will see.”
Interestingly, not long before that, Jill hinted that her next child will be adopted, saying:
“I’m not pregnant yet, that’s the question everyone keeps asking me. Not yet, I feel like we will have another child. I just don’t know how. It will probably be a naturalized citizen of the family.”
So did he have a change of heart and decide to get pregnant after?
(Probably not a good idea, as Jill and Derick have been living in a Zika hotspot for most of the past year, but you know how those Duggars are about birth control!)
Another possibility is that Jill and Jessa are planning to adopt at the same time.
Whatever the case, it’s been rumored that the inspiration for their pact is their shared concern over the future of their TLC reality series.
While the show has enjoyed decent ratings, numerous advertisers have cut ties with Counting On for fear of being associated with the Duggars’ seemingly constant controversies.
Many initially assumed that part of the reason Jill and Jessa planned to get pregnant at the same time was to boost ratings.
Now, some fans are speculating that it’s a desperate bid to avoid cancelation, which has of course led to rumors that the girls’ parents are being pressuring them to coordinate their second pregnancies.
In any event, they’re Duggars.
They were gonna get knocked up again soon, anyway.

Teresa Giudice to Be Released From Prison Tomorrow! Check Out Her Plan to Avoid the Paparazzi!
We hope you’re ready to celebrate, because after weeks of anticipation, the big day is almost here.
No, we’re not talking about Christmas; we’re talking about Teresa Giudice’s release from prison!
Months ago, we learned that Teresa would be released in time for the holidays, and now it looks like prison officials will keep their promise (without much time to spare), as several sources are reporting that she’ll be a free woman again on December 23.
Teresa will have to live in a halfway house for at least 60 days, and her husband, Joe Giudice, will begin serving his 41-month sentence shortly thereafter, but for now, Teresa is worried more immediate problems.
Namely, she’s concerned about the paparazzi that are sure to be lurking outside of Danbury Correctional Facility in anticipation of her release.
“Photographers are expected to begin surrounding the premises ahead of the December 23 release,” an source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
“Prison officials at Danbury Correctional Facility have been made aware that there even will be helicopters trying to get Teresa on camera coming out of there!”
The insider says Teresa has been working with prison officials to arrange a secret escape route so that the paps won’t even know she’s been released.
“Teresa doesn’t want this to turn into a media frenzy,” the source said.
“While this is a very happy time for her, being released, Teresa is very grateful to the prison staff for being so professional during her time beyond bars. She doesn’t want her release to create chaos for them.”
The insider says that Teresa doesn’t want to the subject of any unflattering candid shots while she’s leaving prison, and, of course, she;’s hoping to sell her first post-prison photos for big bucks.

Awkward Kiss Cam Stars Can"t Avoid the Spotlight
We have a new addition to our rundown of Awkward Kiss Cam moments.
And this one may be our favorite awkward kiss cam piece of footage to date, considering it lasts for far more than just a few moments.
The video hones in on a young man and a young woman who are attending a San Antonio Spurs basketball game.
The non-couple clearly just wants to enjoy the second-best team in the NBA, but the operator of that pesky Kiss Cam just won"t let them
Are they on a first date, it asks?
No, they appear to say.
But no kiss appears to be forthcoming, despite at least some kind of smooth sort of being required once one is captured on this arena-based camera.
At one point, the guy goes in for a peck… but gets rudely rebuffed for his effort!
And then things just keep getting more and more awkward, despite the young man later identifying himself on Twitter and saying he"s been dating his co-star for over a year.
So why the hesitancy to at minimum plant a peck on each other"s cheeks?
It"s unclear. Perhaps they follow the Duggar Family rules.
