Blue Whale Challenge: Teen Live Streams Death in Sick Suicide Game
The Blue Whale Challenge is a twisted game circling the Internet in a bid to drive teens to suicide. At least one has already fallen prey.
The haunting online addiction requires participating teens to complete 50 increasingly terrifying challenges over the course of 50 days.
The final task? That the player commit suicide.
A Texas teen, Isaiah Gonzalez, hanged himself as a direct result of partaking in the ghoulish online game, according to his grieving family.
His father, Jorge Gonzalez, wants to urge parents to monitor their kids" social media use after Isaiah was found dead in chilling fashion.
The younger Gonzalez was discovered hanging in his bedroom closet Saturday with his phone propped up on a shoe to record his death.
A report on the young man"s death from the San Antonio Police Department does not mention the Blue Whale Challenge. However:
But Gonzalez"s family said in the days after the teen died, they pieced it together from his social media and communication with friends.
His sister, Alexis, said that a person behind the challenge had gathered personal info from Isaiah and had threatened to harm the family.
Nevertheless, parents and other authorities are skeptical that the game actually exists, citing a lack of suicides directly attributed to it.
Agent Michelle Lee of the FBI"s San Antonio office said the agency is not involved, but urged parents to monitor children"s online activities.
"It"s a reminder of one of the many dangers and vulnerabilities that children face using various social media and apps online every day," Lee said.
"Parents must remain vigilant."
Jorge Gonzalez is the second parent this week to tell news outlets about a child who died by suicide allegedly as a result of the game.
A Georgia woman, who asked not to be named, spoke Monday to CNN about her 16-year-old girl killing herself in the Blue Whale Challenge.
Until this week, there had been no allegations about a U.S. death directly linked to the game, despite its rumored existence for months.
Suicides in Russia, Brazil and a half dozen other countries were reportedly linked to the challenge in cases of suicides of young people.
Notes have been posted on school district social media pages and sent home to parents in districts across the U.S., according to reports.
So how does it work? Parents believe that teens reach out to game administrators called curators through various social media platforms.
Those curators lead players through 50 days of challenges which may begin in relatively benign fashion, like watching scary movie clips.
However, they progress to cutting symbols into their arms and legs or taking pictures of themselves in incredibly dangerous positions.
The participants are allegedly required to document the completion of the task before they are directed to end their lives on the 50th day.
Horrifyingly, a search of related hashtags on Instagram shows users posting pictures of scars and cuts or memes that depict suicide.
Instagram warns that images tagged under related phrases could be harmful and directs people searching for them to seek help (above).
The Center for Missing and Exploited Children is aware of the challenge and encourages parents to report it and similar activity ASAP.
Even if people don"t have enough information of evidence to go to the police or FBI, there are still resources to help, the group urges.

Blue Ivy: Responsible for Naming Beyonce"s Twins?!
Oh, what a glorious time to be alive!
Sure, there’s a whole lot of horrible stuff happening all around the world, and it seems like we’re turning the earth one great big dumpster fire, but Beyonce had babies!
Two babies, in fact — but you already know that.
There’s a solid chance you’ve been able to think about nothing else since the news broke over the weekend.
Beyonce gave birth to twins early last week, and according to several reports, one baby is a girl and the other is a boy.
As far as we know, those precious little angels are still in the hospital because of a “minor” health issue — most likely jaundice.
We’ve heard that they’re “under the lights,” which everyone is assuming means they’re spending time in those little incubators until their liver functions sort themselves out.
It sounds scary, but it’s normal.
And just in case, Beyonce is reportedly keeping them company by staying in the hospital with them.
It all just sounds so sweet and lovely and magical, doesn’t it?
If you agree, then it’s your lucky day — a new report from Hollywood Life is just amping up the magic!
A Beyonce insider is saying that the first Carter kid, five-year-old Blue Ivy, is really, really loving these new babies.
“Blue Ivy is relishing the role as new big sister,” the source says.
“She has been keeping mommy company in the hospital and has even helped in the naming process of her new siblings.”
Adorable, right?
It’s actually so sweet it’ll rot your face off.
You know, because sweet stuff rots your teeth? But it’s extra sweet, so it rots your whole entire face?
Oh, who has time for science?! BEYONCE JUST HAD TWO BABIES.
The source adds that “Blue is happy and can’t wait to take the new babies home to play with.”
Did you hear that sound?
That was the sound of millions of ovaries exploding all across the world … followed by the sound of millions of people growing ovaries just so they could explode at this cuteness.
Beyonce just has that power, you know?
When we first heard the news that Beyonce was pregnant with twins, a lot of jokes were made about Blue Ivy and how upset she may be about the idea of no longer being an only child.
You know, now her inheritance will be split three ways instead of it all just going to her, the Bey magic that was given to her in birth will now be in two others.
But thankfully, it looks like that’s not the case.
Blue Ivy is just a kid who’s super pumped that her parents gave her two more kids to play with.

Beyonce Flaunts Baby Bump, Gets Goofy with Blue Ivy
Beyonce is back to baby bumping.
The singer, who is expecting twins later this year with husband Jay Z, took to her official website over the weekend and shared new photos of herself, her daughter and the most famous stomach in the world.
The pictures were from Beyonce and Blue Ivy’s March 11 outing to New York City’s Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
As you can see above and below, the global superstar showed off her growing baby bump online while placing it inside a form-fitting white dress and a blush coat.
She accessorized the ensemble with silver dangly earrings, embellished gold heels and a red clutch.
(No, this time around, Beyonce did not drop any gender hints based on her earrings, necklace or any other piece of jewelry.)
The artist did not include any captions with these photos because that’s not typically how she rolls.
She likes to keep an air of mystery surrounding herself and her family, only letting fans inside their lives via the occasional cute image or video.
As we’ve noted in the past, no one controls his or her own narrative quite as well as Beyonce Knowles.
Following a couple weeks of rumors, she confirmed her pregnancy on February 1, writing the following along with a picture on Instagram:
“We would like to share our love and happiness.
“We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.”
Since then, Queen Bey has actually posed naked while pregnant, but she hasn’t revealed a due date or talked openly about whether she’s expecting a girl and a boy; two boys; or two girls.
However, Beyonce did give fans an adorable glimpse of the one girl most prominently in her life at the moment:

In a couple of adorable images, Beyonce and her five-year old play around with Snapchat filters in the car, turning themselves into bunny rabbits and cheetahs.
We don’t see this side of Beyonce very often, do we?

She looks amazing in all of them.
The expecting mother has also been doing intense Soul Cycle workouts to stay fit.
“She’s been taking a class almost every day,” an insider previously told Us Weekly.
Why are we not shocked?
This is typical Beyonce, right? She acts like a regular mother, taking her daughter out for a fun day and being all goofy with her on social media…
… while also proving time and again that she’s basically superhuman, somehow managing to hit the gym; hang out with her toddler; and continue to excel in the field of music.
Bow down, people. Just bow right down to the Queen.

Ivanka Trump "Attacked" Aboard Flight, Apparently Flies Jet Blue
You can’t help who your parents are, but you do have a say in who you help get elected president, which may be why the sight of Donald Trump’s children elicits such a visceral reaction of disgust from so many Americans.
Ivanka Trump may not be looked down upon with the sort of disdain reserved for noted Patrick Bateman lookalikes Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump, but she’s not exactly beloved at the moment.
So while it’s not all that surprising that Ivanka got an earful when she deigned to fly commercial this morning.
Several media outlets are claiming that Ivanka was “attacked” aboard a Jet Blue flight from
Now, before you get too upset, you should know that this was a “verbal attack” and later reports clarified that Ivanka was “harassed” by an “out of control passenger.”
Still decidedly not cool, especially since Ivanka was with her kids, and everything is approximately 800 times scarier aboard an airplane.
But obviously, no as severe as we were initially led to believe.
The passenger was removed from the plane, but not before giving Ivanka an unwelcome piece of his mind.
And what did the guy have to say?
Well, nothing Ivanka hasn’t heard before.
He followed that (valid) observation with another solid point, asking:
“Why is she on our flight? She should be riding private.:
Yeah – why is Ivanka on a Jet Blue flight?
Like, no offense to JB – we dig the seat-back TVs and the on-brand blue tortilla chips – but did Ivanka forget her last name when she booked this flight?
Not only does Donald Trump own a private jet and talk it about freakin’ constantly, one of his first duties as president would be to brag about his insider knowledge of the air travel industry.
So the news that his daughter and her kids are sipping Dunkin’ Donuts coffee aboard a discount airline flight is more surprising than the news that other passengers aren’t crazy about Ivanka.
Interestingly, this isn’t even the first Trump-related midair kerfuffle since the election.
Last month Delta banned a Trump supporter for life after he was caught on video berating female passengers for voting for Hillary Clinton.
Fortunately, Ivanka is moving to Washington, D.C., despite her earlier promise to remain in New York City, so she won’t have to do get harassed by airborne plebes every time she wants to participate in the upcoming 4-year sh-tshow of a presidency.
