Kelly Clarkson to The Voice Contestant: You Said WHAT About Me?!?

Kelly Clarkson is not one to stir up controversy.

She’s not one to engage in any feuds or get herself involved in really any scandals at all.

But the singer has felt the need to speak out against an accusation no one could have seen coming.

On last night’s edition of The Voice, an aspiring artist named Molly Stevens was shown the door… and she wasn’t happy about it.

The contestant, who is openly gay, wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post that she was upset by a comparison Clarkson made during the battle rounds.

For those who missed the episode, Kelly said Stevens reminded her of the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge, which Stevens referred to as a “labeling trap” and “small minded.”

This is what she wrote in its entirety:

While I’m extremely honored to be in that category of talent, I do believe that comment did us all a disservice and only threw us into a labeling trap

It felt small minded to me and exactly what I feel we need to bring attention to the world. I am a singer-songwriter who happens to be gay.

And so it @melissa_etheridge and @indigogirlsmusic… But it’s a common stereotype that happens too often. People put us in boxes.

How about for today I am just Molly Stevens and you be you too.

clarkson accuse

As you can see above, Stevens also thanked her preacher for giving her the courage to make this statement.

But it’s not a statement Clarkson believes she deserves.

“Wow. This really bums me out,” the original American Idol Tweeted upon being informed of Stevens’ critique.

She continued, in her own strong defense:

“I need everyone to hear me and hear ALL OF THE WORDS I SAY.

“I compared Molly to Melissa Etheridge, Patty Griffin (a name that was left out conveniently), and the Indigo Girls purely because of the rasp in her voice and that she’s an amazing storyteller.”

kelly writes back

We tend to believe Kelly.

She’s never shown any hints of homophobia or of any kind of “small-minded” thinking.

She’s always seemed incredibly open and laid back and accepting, never really changing at all through the years, even as her fame sky-rocketed to very impressive levels.

Before this issue was brought up, the only thing Clarkson had ever gotten into trouble for was admitting she sometimes spanks her kids.

And even the reaction to that remark seemed a tad overblown.

What do you think of this so-called scandal?

Is it even a scandal?

Did Clarkson misspeak?

Or did Stevens just react in a bitter manner that she later thought better of upon deleting her comment and this really isn’t a story at all?

Sound off now!

R. Kelly Accused of Training 14-Year-Old to Be His Sex Slave

When we learn new things about how R. Kelly allegedly keeps women in a sex cult and trains them as “pets,” the new information is never pleasant.

This time, it’s no exception.

One of R. Kelly’s exes has come forward to reveal that, by his own admission, the singer allegedly began “training” at least one woman when she was as young as 14.

R. Kelly is infamous for his long history of reports of sexual misconduct, interest in minors, and the reports that he keeps women in a “sex cult.”

At this point, the fact that he ever makes music is sort of an afterthought

Multiple women have come forward with horror stories about how R. Kelly allegedly grooms and abuses women, sometimes beginning when they are minors.

He offers them money to quit their old lives, using his charisma and fame to seduce them into wanting a life with him.

From there, things get a lot scarier.

R. Kelly reportedly uses physical violence and other abuses, such a the use of starvation as a punishment and cutting off any access to the outside world.

The idea of this happening to adults is a nightmare. But one of the women who has now escaped from R. Kelly’s world says that he begins this treatment on some “pets” when they are still children.

In a new BBC3 documentary, one of R. Kelly’s exes who has bravely come forward with her horrifying story describes how his alleged grooming begins when girls are very young.

The woman, Kitti Jones, describes when she realized this.

“I saw that she was dressed like me, that she was saying the things I’d say, and her mannerisms were like mine.”

She says that there was much more to it than R. Kelly just having a type.

“That’s when it clicked in my head that he had been grooming me to become one of his pets. He calls them his pets.”

Kitti says that R. Kelly had this woman “crawl on the floor towards me and perform oral sex on me, and he said, ‘This is my f–king pet, I trained her.’”

She says that he eventually bragged to her that he had “trained” this girl since she was just 14.

The shocking accusations about R. Kelly surfaced in 2017, but have so far come from adult women — and from their concerned families.

Abusers and cult leaders alike know that it’s important to isolate their victims from their families as much as possible and to encourage total dependence upon them.

That’s one of many factors, in addition to gradual grooming, that helps them maintain control.

That is precisely what R. Kelly is accused of doing. Unfortunately, sometimes law enforcement feels that their hands are tied when victims are adults, because they are likely to tell police that they’re there of their own free will.

Yes, even if they’re being starved as punishment for some perceived slight.

However, the victimization and sexual exploitation of minors might be easier for law enforcement to address … but, like everything else that R. Kelly is accused of doing to these women, may be very difficult to prove after-the-fact.

But this is not in any way the first stomach-churning story that the world has heard about R. Kelly and underage girls.

R. Kelly illegally married Aaliyah in 1994, when she was only 15. He had met her when she was only 12.

Then, in 2002, a video surfaced that allegedly showed R. Kelly having sex with and then urinating upon an underage girl.

When his property was searched by authorities, they recovered multiple images of an underage girl on a camera that was stashed away.

In at least some of the images, R. Kelly was allegedly engaged in sex acts with this underage girl. It was reported that this young woman was the same who appeared in the video tape that had surfaced.

Ultimately, the charges were dropped, as it was determined that the search warrants had lacked probable cause, rendering all of the findings fruit of the poisonous tree in the eyes of the courts.

And, in the end, R. Kelly was found not guilty over charges from the original video.

Will any of these charges against R. Kelly be proven?

It’s hard to say. The more people who come forward, the better the chances are.

It’s worth noting that when the sex cult accusations first came out during the summer of 2017, this was months before the #MeToo movement.

Perhaps the positive cultural shift against victim-blaming has opened people’s eyes enough that sex monsters can be brought to justice.

But it’s hard to imagine how someone groomed to be a sex slave since she was just 14 years old could ever truly recover.

Kelly Ripa: Body-Shamed (Hard!) for This Bikini Pic

Call us crazy.

Say we’re going out on a major limb here, but we still feel a need to say it:

The Internet can be a very cruel place.

No, really. It’s true!

Just take the case of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, for example.

The long-time couple were out and about on the beach over the weekend, having a swell time in the sun, snapping pictures and sharing them on social media.

At one point, Consuelos took a photo of his 47-year old wife in a two-piece bathing suit and wrote as a caption:

“Sultry Sundays with the sexy one are my fave,” he wrote.

Pretty sweet, right?

And, based on the snapshot itself right here, pretty accurate, right?

Looking damn fine, Kelly Ripa!

The pair’s Instagram affection continued from there, with Ripa and Consuelos posting beach shots together in their Instagram stories, simply adding “#daddy” and “Yep” as captions.

Considering the stars have been married since 1996 and have three kids, it’s refreshing to see that they remain so in love and so attracted to each other.

It’s refreshing to us, at least.

To others, apparently, it’s the basis for some serious body-shaming.

mark/kelly

What follows is a sampling of actual comments left by actual social media users who really may need to get a life or find a hobby — or both!

She has the body of a 12-year-old boy. Guess ‘sexy’ is a matter of opinion. She is adorable, but …

Kelly’s gorgeous, but isn’t there a cutoff age where age appropriateness comes into play?

Just because you can rock a bikini, doesn’t mean you should. When you have teenagers whose friends can ogle pictures, then it’s creepy.

She has a guy’s figure.

Her body is nothing to be proud of.

We really wish we were making these critiques up.

But this is sort of stuff some people really take the time to think of and write online.

Nobody is immune to this sort of shaming, either, not even buff men such as Stephen Amell.

It makes us very sad to consider, but then we get all happy again when we remember how these strong women (and men!) often fight back against the loser trolls.

Take the following cases, for instance, and then go from being angry to being inspired.

Simply put: yo go, stars!

The Voice Recap: Did Kelly Clarkson Make a Mistake?!

The Blind Auditions concluded on Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice, and let’s just say it was a night filled with some of the best performers of the season.

But who garnered the final places?

Let’s break down the five who advanced to the next stage of this long in the tooth competition series.

Genesis Diaz – “Praying”

Kesha is a vocal powerhouse, so anyone covering her songs is generally at an immediate disadvantage. However, this 19-year-old kicked her rendition off with solid footing.

Seriously, it was that good we could have mistaken her for Kesha if we had no idea what Kesha looked like. Adam Levine took a shine to her, and she joined his team.

Maybe Team Adam will have a winner, after all, you guys!

Sharane Calister – “Make It Rain”

This R&B singer burst on to the stage and immediately had chairs turning for her. She knew what she had to do to get through to the next stage, and boy, did she deliver.

Her high vocals were complemented by her big stage presence. She was confident, solid and an all-around enthralling performer. More like this, please!

Team Alicia will be good to Sharane, but song choice will be key for her from here on out.

Dallas Caroline –  “Always On My Mind”

On a night filled with solid performances, Dallas was out of place. The 17-year-old struggled during her Willie Nelson cover. Maybe it was nerves, but we’re sure there were better country singers out there.

A three-chair turn is rare, and it’s difficult to see what the coaches saw in her. It’s doubtful she will make it much further into the process.

Blake has his work cut out with this one.

Jackie Verna – “Peter Pan”

Jackie had a striking voice that could give anyone chills. Her performance was filled with set-pieces that will surely make it one of the most memorable auditions around.

There were a few shaky moments, but that could be attributed to nerves. She was a vocal delight, and just like that, Team Adam has two solid singers!

Amber Sauer – “Shape of You”

Amber made everyone aware she was a fan of Kelly from the get-go, so you can only imagine her surprise when she got Kelly to turn around for her.

The vocals were not fantastic, but there was something there that made her emerge as a likely contender to advance. The troubling thing is, Kelly has such a robust team that Amber could slip through the cracks.

Okay, so the Blind Auditions are over!

What did you think of them?

Sound off below.

The Voice continues Monday on NBC.

Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson: Feuding Over Ex"s Hookup

Kelly Dodd finished her divorce from Michael Dodd, but responded with understandable outrage when Vicki Gunvalson appeared to be playing wingman for Michael and helping him hook up on a Vegas trip.

Ouch.

The upside to this whole messy situation is that we’ll get to see it all play out next season on The Real Housewives of Orange County. But here’s what we know:

There’s some great news in Kelly Dodd’s personal life that she’s been just bursting to share.

On February 23rd, the Real Housewife took to Twitter to make the happy announcement:

“My divorce is final today!! Over the moon happy!”

Divorces are among the most stressful experiences that a person can have — short of staying in a doomed, miserable marriage.

That’s not really a surprise, since we all saw Kelly Dodd’s marriage in shambles on The Real Housewives of Orange County last November.

Some divorces take years of court battles, so it’s wonderful news that Kelly Dodd got her divorce in such a short time.

However, Kelly’s (former?) friend, Vicki Gunvalson, has become the subject of Kelly’s ire over her ex’s hookup.

See, while in Vegas, apparently Vicki and her boyfriend, Steve Lodge, more or less set up Kelly’s ex, Michael, with a mutual friend.

Kelly was furious to see Vicki appear to give Michael aid and comfort. That’s pretty understandable.

RadarOnline has the scoop on this drama that is unfolding between Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson.

For starters, it sounds like Vicki is denying everything.

“Vicki has tried doing everything she can to back pedal on this one, and she insists that she did not purposely try to set Michael up with her and Steve’s mutual friend.”

So … it just happened?

“She told Kelly that the hookup happened organically while they were on vacation, and that she didn’t mean to hurt her at all.”

We wonder how Kelly took those assurances.

Just kidding — no need to wonder.

“Kelly obviously thinks that Vicki is full of s–t and so does the rest of the cast.”

That’s a bold claim.

“Vicki was supposed to be her friend, and now Kelly just thinks that she is nothing but a backstabbing b—h.”

There are clearly a lot of emotions at play, here.

“But Kelly is moving on from this and is not going to waste any more time worrying about her ex-husband — and ex-friend!”

Oh goodness. Will this be a new longstanding feud, or will they mend fences at the end of this storyline?

Unfortunately, it sounds like Vicki’s stubbornness might cost her a friendship.

“Vicki isn’t even trying to kiss Kelly’s a– at this point because she really believes that she did not do anything wrong.”

Even if you don’t think that you did anything wrong, sometimes it helps to apologize and take steps in that direction.

It sounds like Vicki’s loyalties are torn.

“Vicki honestly likes Michael, and she cannot change the fact that Michael and Steve are close friends now.”

A lot of people end up being friends with each other’s exes. It’s part of life. Most don’t vacation with them, but still.

And it looks like some are just blaming Steve.

“Kelly knows that the two are friends, so for her to try and put the blame on Vicki is just complete crap!”

It’s worth noting that RadarOnline reports that this drama will play out, on camera, on the next season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

In other words, viewers and fans will get to see Kelly Dodd explode over this on camera.

Is Kelly Dodd right — did Vicki betray her (and the unwritten “girl code”) by enabling Michael Dodd to hook up?

Is Vicki Gunvalson right — is Kelly freaking out over something that was beyond Vicki’s control, with Vicki merely being polite to her boyfriend’s friend and an organic hookup taking place?

Perhaps, as the storyline plays out on television, we’ll all find out together.

The Voice Recap: Kelly Clarkson Joins the Panel!

The Voice Season 14 is a go, and that can only mean one thing:

A new wave of singers will engage in a fight to the death with the aim of emerging with a recording contract, some recognition, and hopefully, some staying power.

The judging panel consisted of Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys, and of course, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. The latter two are likely going to be with the show until the bitter end at this stage.

Why leave when you’re getting a healthy salary, and some recognition? The show still rates very well, so there’s that.

Let’s break down the first batch of Blind Auditions to see who emerged from the rest, and who is already circling the drain.

Britton Buchanan – “Trouble”

17-year-old, Britton, took to the stage first and his voice was one you would expect to make far into the competition. It was filled with solid moments.

The kid looks like someone you would expect to be in a boyband from the 1990s, but he’s got just enough charisma for an entire band.

He advanced to the next stage. Let’s face it; there would have been shouting from the streets if he was sent packing after that performance.

Rayshun LaMarr – “Don’t Stop Believing”

While Britton had a lot of charisma, Rayshun did not. His performance of the Journey classic was stilted, and not very pleasant to the ears.

It was not a great first attempt, but he advanced to the next stage. Will he be able to get a handle on his voice before it’s too late?

Kyla Jade – “See Saw”

Once upon a time, Kyla was a backup singer for the one and only Jennifer Hudson. Her solo performance on The Voice was something else.

She needs to make a clause in her contract with the show that only allows her to perform Aretha Franklin songs because there was something so compelling about her performance.

She knew what was expected of her and went the extra mile. More like this, please!

Kelsea Johnson –  “Like I’m Gonna Lose You”

This 21-year-old delivered a performance that was full of energy, excitement, and talent. She kept control of her beautiful voice throughout.

In turn, she was rewarded with a spot in the next stage of the competition. Not bad.

Drew Cole – “Sex and Candy ”

Drew is a 25-year-old bartender who “did not move to Los Angeles to be a bartender.” The good thing about him is that his voice is different enough from the others in the competition.

On a show like The Voice, it’s essential to make a lasting impression and Drew accomplished that goal.

D.R. King – “Believer”

D.R. struggled throughout his performance. It was not the most stable and made us wonder whether there was something else going on.

Maybe he could not get on board with the whole being on the show thing, but still, we’re surprised he made it through to the next stage.

Justin Kilgore – “Tomorrow”

Well, this may be our new contender to win the whole thing. He secured a four-chair turn that found the coaches battling to get the kid on their team.

He was polished and seemed to know what sound he was going for. That’s a big positive, and it means the coaches will get an early lead if they get him on board.

Kelly secured Justin, and all was right in the world!

What did you think of the latest season opener?

The Voice continues tonight on NBC.

Megyn Kelly is a Hypocrite Who Hates Women, Ex-Staffer Claims

Megyn Kelly is most definitely making an impact as the anchor of her very own Today Show hour.

But we somehow doubt it’s the impact NBC had been hoping she’d make when she was hired.

The former Fox News star has failed to garner impressive ratings, while she has managed to make headlines for a variety of negative reasons.

Most recently?

Kelly hurled endless shade at Jane Fonda, picking a fight with the veteran actress simply because Fonda questioned the appropriate nature of a plastic surgery-related question Kelly once asked her on air.

Executives were said to have been shaking their heads at the time over Kelly’s actions.

Twitter, too, as you can see here:

Kelly also once implied that fat people ought to be shamed for their weight.

It’s been a tough run for her.

And it may not get any easier any time soon, not after an ex-Fox News makeup artist named Iren Halperin spoke to Page Six.

In a bombshell interview, Halperin detailed how Kelly mistreated various members of her staff back in the day, specifically female members of her staff.

“She’s disrespectful,” Halperin tells the newspaper. “She’s not for women. She’s extremely mean and rude to women.”

Halperin retired from the business in 2016 and worked with Kelly in 2009, when the latter co-anchored “America’s Newsroom With Bill Hemmer.”

She points to Kelly as a hypocrite because she claims these days to support the #MeToo Movement – and she told one story, for example, of how Kelly once kicked a female reporter out of the makeup chair because she refused to wait her turn.

Halperin added that Kelly lied to management in the past about her not coming in to work due to “child care issues” after management asked to speak to Halperin…

… and that she finally asked to be switched to a different anchor.

Another Fox News employee interviewed for this New York Post story also demanded a reassignment as a result of Kelly’s attitude.

“She was difficult and demanding,” Halperin says. “If you didn’t do what she wanted, she would try to get you in trouble.”

Kelly was known as an outspoken Conservative during her successful time at Fox.

But she has attempted to become far more mainstream at NBC; she’s tried to appeal to a mass audience, as if she’s just another morning show personality along the lines of Kelly Ripa or Hoda Kotb.

And she’s thus far failed miserably at selling this persona.

Take her January Nielsen ratings in the coveted 25-to-54-year-old demographic:

They are nearly 30 percent lower than they were for Tamron Hall and Al Roker’s show when it was in the same time slot last year. Ouch.

Just how bad have things gotten after just a few months for Kelly and her program?

A high-ranking NBC veteran told Page Six that the atmosphere is so tense that staffers frequently “cry” on set.

Adds this insider:

“She is hated inside the Today show and is seen as tarnishing the brand, out of control and selfish.”

Kelly Clarkson Accused of Diva Behavior on The Voice

It seems like just yesterday that we were hearing who won Season 13 of The Voice, but Season 14 will be here before you know it.

This year, Kelly Clarkson is joining the The Voice as one of the coaches.

But … apparently things aren’t all smiles behind the scenes. In fact, a report claims that Clarkson is a total diva backstage and almost impossible to work with.

35-year-old Kelly Clarkson first rose to fame on the inaugural season of American Idol.

From her humble, “white trash” beginnings — her words — she skyrocketed to stardom with a successful music career.

As much as fans hate when Kelly Clarkson says stupid things, they love to see her shut down body-shamers in a very down-to-earth way. Mostly, they love her music.

Now, she’s joining Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys as a coach on The Voice.

But, according to RadarOnline‘s source, Kelly Clarkson’s alleged diva behavior is causing some tensions and unhappiness and the season hasn’t even begun to air.

Apparently, there are a number of problems.

“She’s not the person that everyone thought she was going to be.”

Based upon Kelly Clarkson’s branding, people probably expected a down-to-earth, minimal-nonsense singer with humble roots who is hesitant to bash anyone.

And the source gets pretty specific about what they got instead.

“She is bossy and argumentative.”

Apparently some of the problems began before she even walked in the door.

“The other judges, especially Blake, already had an issue with her.”

That issue, it seems, was financial in nature.

“Because of the amount of money they reportedly paid her to join the cast.”

But it goes beyond the bottom line and extends to promos.

“One of the main issues is that producers are making Kelly a central focus on everything.”

This sounds familiar.

“And she is also taking center stage on all of the promos that are being shot so far.”

You know how Kate Mulgrew was famously unhappy with how Jeri Ryan become front-and-center on every billboard and ad for Star Trek: Voyager back in the ’90s?

This sounds like that same kind of resentment — but with personality issues to make things personal.

The source goes on to list Kelly Clarkson’s other alleged grating habits.

“She comes in when she wants to.”

Oooh, that’s never good. And very diva.

“She seems to think that it is all one big game.”

I mean, it is literally a talent competition. It’s a game.

(But we get their meaning, here — her alleged behavior is unprofessional to an off-putting degree)

“At the same time, she is overly certain that she will win this season.”

Cavalier and cocky at the same time? Yikes.

“Of course Blake is irritated with Kelly! Everyone is.”

Blake’s come up more than once, perhaps because we’ve heard some things about Blake Shelton’s alleged diva behavior, too.

It sounds like they both need a dose of reality. They’re on The Voice. Nobody gets to put on airs when they’re judging a reality series. No matter how much they’re getting paid.

Megyn Kelly: Banned from the Royal Wedding?!?

NBC appears to have a royally big problem on its hands.

According to an interesting new report, Megyn Kelly knows where she wants to be this spring:

In London. Right in the thick of the most romantic and publicized wedding to hit Great Britain since Prince William exchanged vows with Kate Middleton.

Yes, Kelly wants to cover the Meghan Markle-Prince Harry nuptials.

She wants to be overseas, right alongside Today Show co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, filling viewers in on the mood of the crowd, the designer of Markle’s dress and all the other pressing details related to this monumental event.

There’s just one problem:

Kelly’s bosses don’t want here there.

AWKWARD!

“NBC is going all out for their royal wedding coverage and has only the best correspondents with insider knowledge about the couple and everything going on behind the scenes,” an insider claims to Radar Online.

Kelly, it seems, does not fit this description.

In fact, NBC News President Noah Oppenheim “personally vetoed the request,” Radar writes.

The network is intent on putting together an entire team to be on hand for the wedding and, no doubt, for the days leading up to it.

Kensington Palace has confirmed that Markle will wed Harry on May 19, 2018, with Markle planning on breaking from tradition during her big day.

That’s the sort of major scoop NBC wants to make sure it, ummm, scoops up.

Why wouldn’t it want Kelly to be part of this investigative unit? Per this same network source:

“With NBC putting millions of dollars of resources into the wedding coverage, the last thing that anyone wants is Megyn to be there and say something completely inappropriate on the air which would create its own controversy.”

Kelly’s tenure at her new place of employ has not exactly gone smoothly to date, that much is certain.

She recently received very harsh coverage for the way she BLASTED Jane Fonda on air, slamming the veteran actress for being a hypocrite.

Ratings for Kelly’s hour of Today have also been very weak and there’s been chatter that others at NBC are bitter over how much money she’s making.

Especially when this money is not translating into popularity or viewership.

Overall, folks just don’t seem too keen on Kelly pretending like she’s Kelly Ripa or some TV personality who can casually comment on the news and/or share funny stories from her personal life.

Not after she spent years stirring up controversy as a conservative anchor on Fox News.

This is the fear of higher-ups at NBC apparently.

“She would somehow manage to upstage the royal wedding, and her bosses just aren’t going to take a chance on that,” Radar alleges.

Kelly’s rant against Fonda really does appear to have rubbed executives the wrong way.

“What Megyn is doing is suicide,” an insider previously stated to Radar Online, warning that the host “is welcome to kill her show but she will not be allowed to take down the Today show with her.”

And ain’t no way she’s taking down the MegHar wedding, either!

Nicole Eggert Details Scott Baio Molestation Claims to Megyn Kelly

Over the weekend, former Baywatch actress Nicole Eggert accused Scott Baio of having molested her, starting when she was 14.

As it turns out, Nicole had laid out her accusations for Dr. Oz, but Scott Baio"s team had managed to bury the episode, claiming that her story didn"t add up.

Nicole Eggert went on Megyn Kelly"s show to clear things up. You can watch that video below.

Nicole eggert and megyn kelly

Scott Baio seems to enjoy arguing that Nicole Eggert"s timeline doesn"t add up, so she starts off. She"s pretty specific, too.

"We started filming the show in September of "86, when I was 14. And he immediately took to me and befriended me and earned my trust."

That"s normally a great thing for castmates. Normally.

"And then he started expressing his love for me … sorry, I"m emotional … and talking about marriage in the future."

That"s … creepy.

Nicole eggert

"And then I was still 14, before my 15th birthday. We were at his house, in his car, in his garage."

This is when she says that it got physical.

"And he reached over and he penetrated me with a finger."

It was, allegedly, just the beginning.

"And that is when the sexual touching and abuse started, after that."

Nicole eggert on megyn kelly

Megyn Kelly then makes it clear that the age of consent in California is 18, and that it was, even back in the 1980s.

She later acknowledges that she knows that some people don"t care about that. And it"s true that some people find that particular law unjust (particularly when it impacts high school students dating each other).

But hopefully we can all agree that a 14 or 15 year old does not need to be engaging in anything sexual with someone over a decade their senior.

Megyn brings that up as a preface to asking, not whether Nicole "consented," but about how Nicole responded at the time.

As with any time that we"re talking about a teenager who was allegedly sexually abused by an adult, it"s a complicated topic.

Scott baio image

"I was very young," Nicole Eggert describes. "And it was shocking, a little. I had never experienced anything like that before, either."

It sounds like she"s describing the very first alleged time, in that garage.

"So he was playing on not only my emotions but my hormones and all of those things."

It is not uncommon for survivors of sexual abuse to feel complicated emotions, including guilt, because some of what happens to them felt good at the time. Even victims much younger than 14 have experienced that, and it does not make anything okay.

She describes how she says that Scott pushed her to remain silent.

"And the issue with him is that he was our boss. And he also was telling me: "You can"t tell anybody. This is illegal, I"ll go to jail. The show will be over. Everybody will be sued. You"ll be out of a job. You"ll be ruining everybody"s life."

Even on top of the horrifying age gap, that sounds like a frightening power dynamic.

Megyn Kelly asks if it happened more than 10 times. Nicole Eggert says that it absolutely did.

"That happened quite often through the age of 16. … Probably once a week. And then, on set, there was a lot of groping, a lot of fondling, a lot of pulling me on his lap."

Creepy.

"You know, trying to sneak kisses in the back. Which other cast members saw."

Megyn Kelly acknowledges that one of Nicole Eggert"s former cast members confirmed that to her.

Nicole says that it mostly happened at Scott Baio"s house. But though she confided this situation to a few close friends at the time, she said that their reactions discouraged her from telling anyone else.

Finally, you know how Scott Baio says that her timeline doesn"t match up? He says that Nicole was 18 when they had sex.

Well, he cites Nicole"s own words for that. As you"ll see in this video below, Nicole explains that she had at the time not been ready to expose Scott for what he had allegedly done to her.

Which, she says, is why she just had a playful interview, and only after the interview was done did she mention upsetting things to the man who had interviewed her. Things that never made it to air.

Megyn Kelly shows a statement from Nik Richie, in which he confirms that Nicole Eggert was emotionally distressed after the interview and had confided that things had been worse than she had stated.

All of that and more is here in this clip. We don"t say this often, but Megyn Kelly did a pretty good job with this interview.

Wendy Williams to Megyn Kelly: You"re Just a Ratings Whore!

Following a random and very rude rant against Jane Fonda, Megyn Kelly is getting dragged through the angry mud on social media.

And also on television.

By a fellow daytime talk show host, in fact.

On Tuesday’s edition of her self-gratifying program, Wendy Williams focused her ire on the former Fox News anchor, whose move to NBC last year has not exactly gone according to plan.

Kelly has had trouble finding an audience for her hour of TODAY, which may explain why she went hard after Fonda on Monday.

Because Fonda did not appreciate Kelly asking her about her past plastic surgery procedures during an appearance last year, Kelly blasted the actress yesterday as a hypocrite and a troublemaker.

She even went all the way back in time and brought up Fonda’s protests against the Vietnam War as proof of… something, we guess.

That Fonda likes to stir up trouble? It’s unclear.

The speech absolutely reeked of desperation, as noted by many social media users who could not believe what they were witnessing.

To wit:

Because it’s the only thing she knows how to do on air, Williams offered up her two cents regarding the Kelly vs. Fonda feud during her Hot Topics segment today.

“Why are you fighting with her, Megyn Kelly? Is your show still on?” Williams taunted, adding that Kelly was clearly “fishing for ratings” via this stunt.

The thing is, of course, Williams is right.

We despise writing those words, but they ring true.

Still… should Wendy Williams call anyone out for any sort of ratings ploy?

This is the same woman who, just a couple weeks ago, said Kylie Jenner’s baby would be ugly and who slammed Oprah as fat.

Those were just the latest examples of Wendy fishing so hard for ratings and attention that she might as well have filmed the episodes from the Deadliest Catch boat.

In this case, Williams went on to say that Kelly was far too new to the daytime talk show “genre” to bring up the topic of plastic surgery with Fonda.

She seems to think such a personal line of questioning must be earned.

“Here’s my thought, Jane does look great, she’s 80 years-old,” said Williams, adding:

“Stevie Wonder could see that’s not a natural 80, but my thought with that is, Megyn is brand new to this one-hour talk format thing and she’s trying to warm up and do some of the stuff that I do…

“She’s trying to be entertaining and light hearted, and they gave her a boat load of money to do it… It’s just not working out.

“As a conversationalist with a show, I can tell you, one of the things you don’t do when you first meet somebody is zoom in with questions like that.”

SIGH.

Can both women please be wrong in this scenario?

We don’t need to actually choose a side, do we?

Kelly can be a polarizing, conservative ex-Fox News anchor who is failing miserably in her attempt to go mainstream…

… While Williams can be a cruel, opinionated blowhard whose only “skill” is tossing out uninformed hot takes on a daily basis.

Right?

Please tell us this is right. We can’t actually pick a winner in this dumb feud.

Twitter DESTROYS Megyn Kelly Over Jane Fonda Rant

Megyn Kelly ratcheted up the most random feud of the decade this week, going after Jane Fonda on Monday after the actress gave Kelly a hard time for asking about her plastic surgery procedures.

Several weeks ago, Fonda appeared on Kelly"s hour of TODAY and responded unkindly when Kelly inquired about the work she had done over the years.

In response, Kelly went after Fonda yesterday, bringing up her history of protesting the Vietnam War and calling the long-time star our as an agitator and a hypocrite.

It was quite the scathing few minutes, which we summed up HERE.

After watching this unexpected horror show unfold, countless social media users jumped online and went hard after Kelly, slamming the ex-Fox News host and vowing to never tune in for her program again.

Check out the most savage takes below:

1. You Sure You Want to Bring Up Someone’s History, Megyn?

Megyn Kelly to Jane Fonda: STFU, You Hypocrite!

Megyn Kelly has put Jane Fonda on blast.

There"s a sentence we"re guessing you didn"t expect to read today.

But the NBC anchor took a few moments out from her program on Monday to address the quasi feud brewing between her and Fonda, which started a few weeks ago when the veteran actress sat down for an interview with Kelly.

Fonda was on hand at the time to promote the film Our Souls at Night – and she did not respond kindly to Kelly bringing up her many plastic surgery procedure on air.

"I read that you said you felt you"re not proud to admit that you"ve had work done. Why not?" Kelly asked of Fonda, who responded tersely:

"We really want to talk about that now?"

The exchange went viral because, well, it was very awkward.

And now Kelly has gone on the offensive against Fonda, explaining why she pursued this line of questioning and calling Fonda out. Hard.

"When she first complained publicly after the program and repeatedly, I chose to say nothing as my general philosophy is what other people think of me is none of my business," Kelly opened.

"However, Fonda was at it again last week including here on NBC and then again elsewhere, so it"s time to address the "poor me" routine."

Oh, yes, Kelly held nothing back in this mini rant.

"First, some context," she explained, prior to adding:

"Fonda was on to promote a film about aging. For years she has spoken openly about her joy in giving a cultural face to older women.

"Well, the truth is most older women look nothing like Fonda, who is now 80 and if Fonda really wants to have an honest discussion about older women"s cultural face, then her plastic surgery is tough to ignore.

"Fonda herself knows this. She knows this and that is why, to her credit, she has discussed her cosmetic surgery pretty much everywhere before coming on our show."

The show then aired a handful of clips of Fonda talking about her plastic surgery to various outlets and her reasoning for it.

Kelly"s general point is that Fonda has opened the plastic surgery door many times and was out of line in making it look like Kelly was out of line for bringing it up.

"Apparently, when she came here, however, again to promote her film about aging, I was supposed to discern that this subject was suddenly off-limits," Kelly continued.

"Look, I gave her the chance to empower other women, young and old, on a subject which she purports to know well and she rejected it.

That"s ok, but I have no regrets about that question, nor am I in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is and is not appropriate.

"After all, this is a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage."

From here, Kelly brought up Fonda"s comments during the Vietnam War, saying the actress set out to "shame" American troops.

She also took Fonda to task for more recently telling the BBC that she was NOT proud of her country because it elected Donald Trump as President.

But she is proud of the "resistance."

Seriously, Kelly went deep with this take-down.

"So, the moral indignation is a little much," she concluded of Fonda.

"She put her plastic surgery out there. She said she wanted to discuss the plight of older women in America and honestly she has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive."
