Vinny Foti, MTV"s The Challenge Alum, Hospitalized for Heart Failure

Vinny Foti, a former cast member on MTV’s The Challenge, is in desperate need of your help.

A GoFundMe campaign has been created to assist Foti after relatives announced he was hospitalized on Friday due to heart failure.

This is what the GoFundMe page dedicated to Foti reads:

Our sweet, dear friend and coworker Vinny Foti is in ICU with heart failure. He is on a ventilator and is sedated.

He is a loving father and husband. We are trying to help raise money for medical expenses and other things needed for the family.

They have two daughters ages 2yrs , and 2 months old. Please help us pull together and help this beautiful family. Please help if you can.

Foti is a 36-year old native of Boston.

His loved ones subsequently updated followers of the GoFundme page with a statement sharing his current condition, while Foti’s wife, Krista Foti, shared the awful news on Twitter.

“Thank you for the donations, shares, and likes. Our family feels really loved,” reads this message.

It continues:

“I told Vinny what was going on even though he was still sleeping. I know he appreciates everything you guys have done.

“Here’s the only update I have. They had to put another tube is his left lung to drain.

“He’s still in ICU and not getting off the ventilator for a few more days the dr said. Dr said we just got to take it day by day. I ll keep everyone posted.”

Foti may be a familiar face to MTV viewers.

He initially appeared on the Fresh Meat II season of The Challenge in 2010 and later took part in The Challenge: Season 20’s Cutthroat competition, as well as Season 22’s Battle of the Exes.

He’s been involved in reality television for years.

Among other reasons for earning a large fan base during his run on the show, Foti garnered attention for his impressive physique

“I train every day like an absolute animal and I’m ready,” he said during his first run on the hit MTV series. “I’m in peak performance shape.”

The stated goal of the GoFundMe campaign is to raise $ 20,000.

As of this writing, it had raised $ 2,280.

You may click HERE to donate.

We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Vinny Foti and his family.

Nev Schulman, Host of MTV"s Catfish, Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Yup, him too.

On Thursday afternoon, MTV announced that it has suspended production on the reality series Catfish due to troubling allegations against host Nev Schulman.

The details behind these allegations are unknown at this time, but this is what the cable network said to The Daily Beast in a statement:

“We take these allegations very seriously. We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation.”

Schulman, who also serves as executive producer on Catfish, has been the main man in front of the camera since the program’s debut in 2012.

Now in its seventh season, Catfish centers on Schulman’s investigations into online relationships, as he tries to verify whether people are who they actually say they are on the Internet.

It is based on a 2010 documentary of the same name that was also created by Schulman.

In the film, Schulman chronicles how he fell in love with a woman he met online, but was left heartbroken upon learning all the ways in which she misrepresented herself throughout their exchanges.

On the MTV show, he and filmmaking partner Max Joseph set out to assist others who may be in a similar predicament.

The series has become so popular that the term “Catfished” is now used in any situation that involves one side of an online relationship lying about his or her identity to the other side.

(Sister Wives star Meri Brown, for example, was the victim of a catfishing in 2016.)

Schulman is 33 years old and is married to Laura Perlongo.

The couple are parents to a 17-month old girl named Cleo and co-host a web series, “We Need to Talk,” for ATTN.

“It’s basically a show about relationships,” Nev told Us Weekly last year, adding:

“What do you do when you do find it and you want to keep it? You gotta work through some sh-t.

“This is a show that’s honest and sometimes a little embarrassing, but it’s real and it’s about the things that come up when you’re a couple.”

In response to the allegations against him, Schulman has said the following to The Daily Beast:

“I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions – but these claims are false.”

Over the past several months, of course, more and more women have felt empowered by what has been dubbed the #MeToo movement.

They have come out with accusations against such stars as Matt Lauer, Louis C.K., Charlie Rose and movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

It’s very possible that none of these men ever work in Hollywood again.

And while it’s too early to say for certain, it’s now possible that the same will apply for Nen Schulman.

Farrah Abraham: I Love that MTV"s Puppet Amber Portwood is Sick!

Over the weekend, Farrah Abraham’s mom Deb got married. It was a whole thing, but nobody from Teen Mom — except for Farrah herself — showed up.

Amber Portwood is pregnant, and couldn’t make it, even though she was invited.

Well, Farrah Abraham didn’t mind Amber’s absence, and took the opportunity to take some serious shots at her fellow Teen Mom star.

Debra Danielsen, Farrah Abraham’s mother with whom she has had a very complicated relationship, married Dr. David Merz.

Though Farrah and David haven’t always seen eye-to-eye (honestly, who does with Farrah?), Farrah was in attendance at their wedding.

The location that the happy couple picked was an aquarium. The motif that they selected was mermaids.

Sure.

MTV and their cameras weren’t present.

(Because Farrah Abraham got fired from Teen Mom, maybe — a lot is still unclear about that)

And neither were any of Farrah’s Teen Mom costars.

(Because, well, nobody likes Farrah Abraham)

But Amber Portwood was actually invited and, despite her current and intense feud with Farrah, might have come — if she hadn’t been too sick.

Farrah Abraham and Amber Portwood got into a fight way, way earlier this year.

Long story short?

Farrah Abraham commented on how Matt Baier looks like a total creep. Amber did not care for Farrah’s comments and, well, now they’re totally feuding.

That nonsense is actually ongoing, and Matt Baier might be trying more of his shenanigans, because he’s just that classy.

This time, Matt Baier is defending Farrah and slamming MTV for (maybe) firing her over her recent sex work.

But … a lot of people are reading between the lines and wondering if Matt Baier is just trying to puff himself up and attract Farrah’s notice.

He’s tried before, you see, allegedly tweeting his thirst at Farrah before things heated up with Amber.

Anyway, so, at the wedding, Amber couldn’t make it because pregnancy isn’t all fun and games, folks.

Speaking to The Ashley, Farrah had some less-than-subtle shade to throw in Amber Portwood’s direction.

“You see who really showed up to the wedding.”

Farrah then goes on to bash … all of the Teen Mom folks. And Amber in particular.

“Not all the fake people who are production puppets like Amber, or any other whackjob that you’ve been seeing in the press before today. They’re not here.”

Farrah also spoke to InTouch about Amber’s absence, and she was a bit more … direct.

“[Amber] wasn’t going to be here anyway, so I wish her all the best with her unplanned pregnancy and all of her bulls–t.”

Full disclosure: I laughed out loud at that line.

Deb, whose actual wedding this was, didn’t bear Amber any ill will, as she told The Ashley:

“I told Amber, ‘I love you, you look beautiful.”

Awwww!

“I told her that I just hoped that she was feeling better because I remember how much morning sickness she had [when she was pregnant] with [her daughter] Leah. She was sick the whole time.”

Remember that some people have morning sickness worse than others. Some, much worse.

“[I told her] I hoped it was much better this time.”

We’re sure that Amber hopes so too.

We don’t know that Farrah’s goodwill is anywhere near so strong.

Teen Mom: How Fake Are MTV"s Biggest "Reality" Shows?

The reality television landscape has undergone some tremendous changes in the past 20 years, but through it all, MTV has managed to keep at least one heavily buzzed-about unscripted series in its lineup at all times.

We suppose it’s fitting, as many credit the network with launching the genre with The Real World way back in 1992.

These days, of course, the network has two tent-pole series in with Teen Mom: OG and Teen Mom 2 both delivering massive ratings.

The shows have remained massively popular over the years, and its stars have become full-blown social media celebrities as a result.

But despite the fact that the cast members are insanely well-compensated (Some reports have the ladies of Teen Mom making over $ 1 million per season.), producers have had a difficult time keeping their on-air talent happy.

According to Farrah Abraham, the primary cause of unrest is the way narratives are crafted in post-production.

At this point, Teen Mom stars lashing out at the show’s editors is an almost weekly occurrence.

It seems that with each new episode, at least one member of the cast takes to Twitter to gripe that the scenes were cut and reshuffled to make them look like bad moms, or unstable hot-heads.

Leah Messer has been the most vocal about the show’s dubious relationship with the truth, but at one point or another, just about every single one of her co-stars has echoed her complaint.

The whole thing has left us wondering – just how fake is Teen Mom?

Here’s what some of the ladies have said about it in their own words:

Leah Messer: “It’s so sad how the person behind the editing can even live a happy life by editing to manipulate the audience watching,” Leah recently tweeted. “It makes me feel like my life story isn’t enough.”

She specifically griped that a scene in which she went on a boozy date with ex-husband Jeremy Calvert was edited to make it appear as though her affections were unrequited.

Kailyn Lowry: “Yet another episode where none of my accomplishments are shown,” Kailyn tweeted last year.

“Hard work in school, deans list, etc. I want to motivate other young moms to stay in or finish school. Not be asked to talk about Jo drama.”

She later griped that producers frequently rearrange the order of events and go out of their way to create drama where there is none, citing as an example the time she “lost [her] mind” when a producer allegedly “provoked” her son into crying.

Chelsea Houska: Chelsea’s complaints have been mild. but specific.

In a recent episode, she’s seen complaining that her daughter’s jealousy of her son is negatively impacting husband Cole De Boer.

Chelsea says it never happened:

“Just a little something that irked me about the show tonight. Theres a part where I say, ‘I feel like it’s taking away from Cole’s experience,"” she wrote.

“And that was taken out of context from a different convo and added in that scene for some reason.”

A recent piece by In Touch concluded that the show is most certainly “not scripted,” citing as evidence comments from cast member Javi Marroquin:

“This is our story. I don’t know how editing is so bad when no one is forcing us to say the things we do,” says the father of Kailyn Lowry’s baby.

“We control our story, so I never understand that. Yes, they may cut some things out, but we should be cognizant about what we say knowing they may cut some things out.”

Re-ordering events in order to craft a cohesive narrative is a major part is a major part of any reality producer’s job, and while we’re sure it’s very frustrating to see yourself misrepresented on TV, the stars of TM:OG and TM2 would do well to remember that it’s the editing that brings in the ratings … and the ratings that bring in the seven-figure salaries.

Watch Teen Mom: OG online to see how the show’s original cast has changed over the years – and to decide for yourself how real it all is.

Amber Portwood: It"s MTV"s Fault Matt Baier Looks Like a Douche!

If you watch Teen Mom online, you’re probably aware that Amber Portwood and Matt Baier are going through a bit of a rough patch.

And by “rough patch,” we mean if Amber’s got any sense, Matt’s currently packing up his Tom Brady jerseys and Spinal Tap collectibles in order to haul his sorry deadbeat ass back to Boston.

Portwood and Baier have called off their wedding, but it’s unclear if they’re still together as a couple.

Matt’s given Amber plenty of reasons to kick him to the curb, but lately, he seems to be making a real case for himself as the worst boyfriend in the history of the Teen Mom franchise.

(And as fans know, that’s no easy feat.)

In addition to the fact that we now have real reason to believe that Matt cheated on Amber, he’s now pressuring her to get married ASAP, a move that smacks of the most shameless kind of golddigging.

Fans were stunned when Matt swore he would “never” marry Amber if she didn’t agree to a quickie wedding in Vegas.

After that exchange, fans assumed there was no way Amber could continue to overlook Matt’s many glaring flaws.

But denial is a powerful thing, and it seems it’s also Amber’s drug of choice these days.

Baier and Portwood appeared on the Teen Mom: OG after-show this week, and a fan in the audience tells The Ashley’s Reality Roundup that Amber went on a wild rant that never made it to air:

“Amber totally called out MTV and went off on a total rant for like 10 minutes,” the audience member tells The Ashley.

“It came right after the part where she says that no one can make her do or say anything for the cameras, but they cut out what she said next.”

According to the anonymous onlooker, the bulk of Amber’s rage was directed not at Matt, but at MTV:

“She was more mad at them for trying to start something with her brother,” the audience member says.

“That really pissed her off and she said that they keep trying to ‘f**k with her and her family.’”

And like every Teen Mom star, Amber is convinced that MTV needs her more than she needs MTV:

“She even said, ‘They’re going to edit all this out but f**k MTV! She kept saying she has other deals in the works, and other people want her, and that MTV should just fire her but they won’t because they need her.”

Matt, of course, was quick to jump right on the “poin the finger at MTV” bandwagon:

“Matt basically blamed MTV for why he got mad in the clip,” the audience member said.

“He said he knew they’d take their great trip and just use that one part where she doesn’t want to marry him and make it look like she didn’t want to be with him. They both said that MTV was trying to screw them over.”

Sigh. Someday reality stars will understand that no one wants to see the “fun,” uneventful parts of their trip.

Showing a very different side on social media, Amber insisted that if she had heard Matt saying he’d lost interest in marrying her, she would have reacted quite differently:

“Yeah wish he would have said that to me!! Lol good thing he whispered it to her because I don’t mess around with comments like that!!”

Sure you don’t, Amber. Sure you don’t.
