Ex-Pussycat Dolls Member Calls Out Group as a "Prostitution Ring"
Kaya Jones made some waves on Twitter late last week.
Who is Kaya Jones, you may be wondering?
She’s a former member of the all-girls singing group The Pussycat Dolls… although she’s here to to take issue with saying this group really had anything to do with “singing”
Or at least with the concept of making any kind of meaningful art.
“My truth. I wasn’t in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring,” Jones Tweeted, adding:
“Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $ .”
To be clear, Jones is NOT saying she and her fellow artists charged money to have sexual intercourse with anyone and that her managers acted as actual pimps.
Not in the traditional sense of the term prostitution, that is.
But no one cared about her well-being and she was only asked to sing material others put in front of her, while executives raked in the cash she helped earn.
“How bad was it? People ask – bad enough that I walked away from my dreams, my bandmates & a 13 million dollar record deal,” Jones Tweeted.
“We knew we were going to be #1.”
The Pussycat Dolls were founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995.
Among their many rotating members over the years, the most famous is likely Nicole Scherzinger.
You may remember the group for such hits as “Don’t Cha”, “Buttons” and “Stickwitu.”
They broke up in 2009, but Billboard ranked the Pussycat Dolls as the 80th most successful musical act of the 2000s, as they spawned merchandise opportunities, spin-off girl groups and reality programs.
Without mentioning Antin by name, Jones called out the “den mother” of the group during her social media diatribe, writing:
“I want the den mother from hell to confess why another 1 of her girl group girls committed suicide? Tell the public how you mentally broke us.”
This is almost certainly a reference to G.R.L. singer Simone Battle, who killed herself in September of 2014.
Simone Battle took her own life in 2014. May she rest in peace.
“To be a part of the team you must be a team player,” continued Jones of what she and other members were told.
“Meaning sleep with whoever they say. If you don’t they have nothing on you to leverage…Yes I said leverage.
“Meaning after they turn you out or get you hooked on drugs they use it against you. Correct. Victimizing the victim again.”
The singer went on to compare herself to a member the armed forces.
“That’s why I have so much respect for our military. I’ve been through [war]. But my scars you can’t see. At least real war is honest.
“Why don’t we report it? Because we were all abused! I personally have been warned if I tell I will…you know end up dead or no more career.”
It’s unclear why Jones has spoken out about these alleged issues now, but it’s safe to assume she is responding to the controversy surrounding Harvey Weinstein and all the women he harassed.
However, Asia Nitollano, an ex-member of the Pussycat Dolls, who was briefly in the group in 2007, jumped on Twitter and strongly denied everything Jones claimed in her rant.
“Who is Kaya Jones? Lol She was not apart of The Pussycat Dolls the recording group so I do not know her.
“If she was in the Vegas show then I know nothing about that nor have I ever heard such a thing.
“But judging from google she looks like she just wants her 15min of fame. (Side note… it says she’s a Trump supporter… but yet she’s Canadian, which means her vote doesn’t count!!!! )
“Same with this comment about The Pussycat Dolls; she wasn’t in the group so her opinion doesn’t count!!!!””

Meghan Markle Engagement Ring: All the Rumored Details!
By now, you’ve undoubtedly heard:
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are engaged!
MAYBE! POSSIBLY! SO WE’VE HEARD ON FREQUENT OCCASION!
Indeed, the rumor mill has been working overtime over the past several weeks with talk of a Markle and Harry engagement.
One insider, for example, tells OK! Weekly that the Royal Stud Muffin has already popped the pressing question; he and his betrothed are simply waiting for the ideal time to announce.
“I think it’s already happened, but they’re holding the news back until she has finished on Suits. I’ve never seen them happier. It’s amazing.”
Why would the couple feel the need to postpone their engagement announcement until Markle is finished filming this season of her beloved USA Network hit?
It’s unclear.
What is clear, however, is that Harry will present Meghan with quite the ring if/when he does propose.
According to jeweler Stephen Barnard, via an interview with The Daily Mirror, Harry would purchase “a ring with a large diamond, with a few little diamonds set around it” for the veteran actress.
Barnard – who designed Princess Diana’s Swan Lake necklace – also believes the piece of band would be platinum and modern, considering Markle is a young and stylish American.
And, yes, for the record: it really has gotten to this point.
The public is so curious about the future of Markle and Harry that publications are talking to jewelry experts about potential engagement rings.
But the famous couple only added fuel to their red hot romantic fire last week when they attended the Invictus Games in Toronto, displaying a whole lot of affection in public, as evidenced by these photos.
Harry even planted a kiss on Markle in front of her mom.
“I can tell you that at the end of the day, I think it’s really simple,” Markle told Vanity Fair last month.
She went on in even more detail:
“We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.
“Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
What about an engagement? A Royal wedding? Kids?!?
Markle didn’t delve into those details.
She did make it evident, though, that this romance is serious.
“We’re a couple. We’re in love,” Markle told the magazine, adding:
“I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Woman Mocks Small Engagement Ring; Twitter Claps Back!
A diamond is forever, and so is the internet.
So, an Australian woman tweeted out a photo of a hand, possibly hers but possibly not, with a small engagement band on the ring finger.
She wasn"t shy about mocking the ring size, indicating that an engagement ring needs to be more substantial to earn her respect.
It"s possible, and many people assumed this to be the case, that this woman had received this engagement ring and was expressing her disappointment.
It"s possible that she was genuinely touched but trying to be catty or whatever on Twitter.
But you know, it might be the likeliest of all that she saw this photo, maybe online or maybe sent to her by a genuinely excited friend, and decided to mock it on Twitter.
Regardless, she ignited a firestorm on Twitter, where everyone had an opinion about small engagement bands.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: Where"s the Ring?!?
By now, we’re sure you’ve heard the rumors:

It can be nearly impossible to discern truth from mere celebrity gossip when conversation shifts to the Suits actress and the Royal Hunk.
Just last week, for example, strong Internet chatter implied that Markle and Harry got engaged while on a trip to Africa.
“The whole proposal was the private, free and expressive moment he had hoped for,” a source told Star Magazine of Harry allegedly popping the question in a country that meant a lot to his late mother.
Hooray for the wildly famous twosome?!? Not quite. Not yet, at least.
“Harry and Meghan are not engaged yet, reports that they are are jumping the gun slightly,” an insider tells Hollywood Life, adding that the stars are “definitely headed in that direction.”
It’s worth nothing, however, that when the major development does at last take place, you won’t read about it first in a supermarket tabloid.
“When they do get engaged, Harry will follow Royal protocol and an announcement will be made by the Palace,” this same Buckingham source says.
Oh. We guess that makes sense.
The actress and the prince have been dating for about a year and a half now.
They’ve said basically nothing about their romance to the press, but they aren’t trying to hide their feelings, either.
They take trips together. They reportedly engaged in a bit of PDA on said trips.
The relationship is clearly very serious, which is why an anxious world awaits that inevitable proposal news.
“Harry and Meghan are very much in love, but they both want to make completely sure that they are ready to take the next step before doing so,” Hollywood Life writes.
The Royal Family, of course, was broken up many years ago after Prince Charles had an affair and split from Princess Diana.
“Harry does not want to make the same mistake as his mother and father did,” this insider explains. “When he marries it will be for life, and it’s not something he is going to rush into.”
Aside from the feelings involved, there’s the practical matter of what Markle will do with her life.
Will she give up acting and become a full-time Royal once that ring is on her finger?
“There’s all manor of things Harry and Meghan need to decide before getting engaged, like where they will live, and if Meghan will continue with her acting career,” says this source.
“She’s made it clear that she would like to continue working, and to do that she needs to spend a large amount of her time in Canada and the U.S.”
Seriously, if this engagement means the end of Suits on USA Network, we will not be happy!

Rachel Lindsay Engagement Ring: ALL the Beautiful Details!
It really did happen on Monday night:
After narrowing her field of suitors down to just one, Rachel Lindsay handed the final rose to Bryan Abasolo…
… and he took it from there!
“I am the best version of myself when I’m with you,” Abasolo said, while down on one knee in front of The Bachelorette, prior to adding:
“You are so easy and effortless to love and I just want to love you for the rest of your life. Will you be my cariña [sweetheart] forever?”
Lindsay could scarcely contain her excitement, jumping all around and giggling as soon as Bryan dropped down to propose.
So of course she said yes. She said yes with enthusiasm and excitement and then she kissed her brand new fiance on the lips.
HOORAY!
A day after this romantic development, the Internet is abuzz over whether or not Lindsay and Abasolo will get married on television (maybe, sources say), along when the nuptials will take place (some time this winter, according to Rachel).
Fans cannot stop talking about Lindsay’s engagement ring, either.
And for good reason: it’s downright gorgeous!
The rock was designed by Neil Lane, the same man behind nearly every Bachelor and Bachelorette engagement ring.
As you can see above, it contains a pear shaped center stone that insiders tell E! News is more than three carts. That ain’t small!
The ring includes a pave border and a platinum band and it would cost over $ 100,000 if one were to purchase it like a regular human being.
(Abasolo, of course, was gifted the ring for free in exchange to Lane receiving publicity from his company’s appearance on the finale.)
“The ring is huge and she’s in love with it,” an E! source says of Lindsay, who was spotted on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, showing off her new bling:
Yeah. It’s safe to say Rachel is happy with Bryan’s selection.
And with her future husband himself.
“This love has been so mature. It’s tested me in ways that I couldn’t have even imagined,” Lindsay said in response to Abasolo’s big question on the finale.
“And I always said that I would know that the person that I’m supposed to be with is someone that I could never picture my life without.
“So right here in this moment, standing with you, I see my forever and I see my future.
