Disclaimer: I find this report hard to believe, but I’ll continue.
On April 9th, New Orleans Saints’ defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed after a traffic accident altercation escalated. Smith, 34, is survived by his wife, Raquel suffered who a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
The Smiths formed a friendship with Kim Kardashian back when she dated Smith’s teammate, Reggie Bush. Kardashian paid tribute to Smith and Raquel via Instagram after hearing the news.
“My heart breaks for my sweet friend Rockie. I’m deeply saddened by your loss,” she wrote.
“Will, you were an angel to your family on earth and you will continue to be in the life after. May God bless you! Sending so many prayers to her and her family!!! May the Lord surround her and her children with love and protection during this devastating time.”
Kardashian reportedly flew to New Orleans to attend the funeral, and to spend time with Raquel while she recuperates. One person who is allegedly not pleased about Kardashian’s travel plans is her husband, Kanye West.
“Kanye told Kim NOT to go to the funeral,” a source told Radar Online.
“But she decided to go at the last minute. He is furious.”
Since Bush is assumed to be going to the funeral, “Kanye doesn’t want Kim to go.”
Kardashian more or less told Kanye to go pound sand, and went anyway.
“Kanye doesn’t know how long she will be there,” the source added. “She said she’s going to comfort Raquel and she’s even staying with her.”
Radar claims that this is the latest in a string of arguments between the couple, which will ultimately lead to divorce.
“Kanye was adamant about trying to control Kim and telling her not to go but she does what she wants.”
I don’t believe that anyone (almost anyone) would try to prevent their significant other from consoling a friend who just lost her husband, but here we are, talking about how West is the monster who wouldn’t let his wife go to a friend’s funeral for fear she’ll run into one of her ex-boyfriends.
