Alice Marie Johnson Thanks "War Angel" Kim Kardashian
She"s been a sex tape star, a fashion maven and an Instagram model.
But Kim Kardashian now has a new title:
HERO.
It"s not one we ever thought would be bestowed on her and it"s not one we"re using facetiously.
On Wednesday afternoon, President Donald Trump commuted the setence of Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year old from Alabama who was jailed for life back in 1997 due to a first-time drug offense.
Kardashian learned of this punishment in October and has since dedicated a significant amount of time to helping free Johnson from jail.
She even met President Trump at the White House last week in order to talk about Johnson and prison reform.
This is a real issue and Kardashian just produced a real result: Johnson is a free woman.
Talking to reporters after leaving prison for the first time in over two decades yesterday, Johnson said tthe following:
“I feel like my life is starting over again."
She later referred to Kim not just as her "angel," but as her "war angel," adding:
"She has truly been relentless in her fight for me… this is not a publicity thing for her. She has never stopped fighting for me. She"s an incredible woman, an amazing woman."
Johnson also details in the video below how Kardashian was actually the person who told her she was about to go free, a stunning development for someone who thought her life was over forever.
"BEST NEWS EVER," Kim Tweeted after learning Johnson would be released from jail, later adding:
I’m so grateful to President Trump, Jared Kushner and to everyone who has showed compassion and contributed countless hours to this important moment for Ms. Alice Marie Johnson.
Her commutation and forthcoming release is inspirational and gives hope to so many others who are also deserving of a second chance.
I hope to continue this important work by working together with organizations who have been fighting this fight for much longer than I have and deserve the recognition.
Says a very emotional Johnson below, having been reunited with her family
"I will not waste this second chance in life."

Angel Parrish From My 600-lb Life: See Her Insane Transformation!
Not every reality star gets a happy ending, and that is certainly true for those who appear on My 600-lb Life. Sometimes people concern fans with behavior that has nothing to do with their weight.
But sometimes, people really do dramatically transform their bodies. And that is clearly the case for
She is absolutely unrecognizable.
At her largest, Angel Parrish weighed 570 pounds.
Her backstory was heartbreaking, and not simply because of her size.
Angel revealed that she had begun to accumulate weight after having been forced to surrender her baby for adoption at the age of 14.
It seems clear that there is more in her youth than the emotional loss of her adoption that filled her with a deep and lingering sadness.
Like so many, she used food as a coping mechanism. Over time, and combined with genetic and environmental factors, she increased in size.
Fans last saw or heard from Angel Parrish in 2016, but she remained in the thoughts of many.
She had dropped her weight all of the way down to 230 pounds thanks to weight loss surgery.
But she has spent years in silence on social media.
Now, however, she has reappeared in a single photo.
When we say that she is unrecognizable, we are not exaggerating.
Take a look:
This is such a dramatic body transformation.
But we have to remember that, since we last saw her in 2016, Angel has had a lot of time to lose further weight and to adjust to her new figure.
Beyond that, the shock that fans may experience at seeing the photo — a sort of mild mental whiplash — comes from the total radio silence before this.
You don’t always notice weight loss when you see it happening at an imperceptible rate every day or every week.
After two years, the difference is staggering.
We do not, however, know her new weight.
But if we were to guess, it sure seems that her weight is now below 230.
Congratulations are definitely in order.
There is more to dramatic weight loss like this than simply undergoing surgery with Dr. Now.

Weight loss in this manner, when the volume of the stomach is artificially reduced to limit how much food can be consumed at a time, is only part of the equation.
And it is agonizing — the human body excels at storing energy, and people who suddenly begin consuming less food on a daily basis feel as though they are starving.
Even with all of that, regulating what she eats and when she eats it, coupled with exercise, would also be vital for Angel to be a success story.
Judging from the new photo, we would guess that she also had some excess skin surgically removed. That is often necessary for people who have undergone massive weight loss.
Angel’s dramatic reveal may put to shame even Amber Rachdi’s insane transformation.
But it is not a competition, folks. This is about people who choose to change the shape and weight of their bodies getting the opportunity to do so with assistance and guidance and with the support of fans.
Not every story ends happily. Some have health complications from their initial weight or even their sudden weight loss.
Others have underlying problems that may have led to weight gain but continue to plague them even as they transform their bodies.
We are so glad to see that Angel is doing so well.

Della Reese Dies; Touched By an Angel Star Was 86
Singer, songwriter, and Touched By An Angel star Della Reese has passed away at 86.
As she is mourned by her friends and family, she’s also remembered by fans for her many contributions.
And her former costar broke the news.
Actress Roma Downey, who spent years as Della’s costar, took to Instagram to share the following difficult message:
“On behalf of her husband, Franklin Lett, and all her friends and family, I share with you the news that our beloved Della Reese has passed away peacefully at her California home surrounded by love.”
Della’s life was full and she played many roles in many lives.
“She was an incredible Wife, Mother, Grandmother, friend, and Pastor, as well as an award-winning actress and singer.”
When a celebrity passes, their loss is felt by their loved ones as well as by countless fans. Roma was sure to acknowledge that.
“Through her life and work she touched and inspired the lives of millions of people.”
That’s a powerful contribution to the world.
The tribute message continues:
“She was a mother to me and I had the privilege of working with her side by side for so many years on Touched By An Angel.”
And it is from Touched By An Angel that most people recognize both actresses.
“I know heaven has a brand new angel this day.”
That’s not really standard Christian theology but it’s a common expression.
“Della Reese will be forever in our hearts. Rest In Peace, sweet angel. We love you.”
That thoughtful message was followed by nine emojis of a dove in flight.
Very tasteful.
When people mention Della Reese’s role as an award-winning singer and song-writer, it’s important that we remember that this was a woman of many talents.
She didn’t sing from just one or two musical genres.
She was a nightclub singer. She was a jazz singer. She was a gospel singer. And she was also a pop singer.
And, again, she was also an actress and a pastor on top of all of that.
Oh, and a talk show host.
She had her own talk show series that had nearly 200 episodes.
Della Reese is survived by her children: Deloreese, James, Franklin, and Dominique, and also by her husband, Franklin Lett.
She’s a music legend and star of television and film.
She was also a pillar of her religious community. Many consider serving as a pastor to be life’s highest calling.
Everyone whose life she touched will miss her.

Mia Angel Burks: Carmelo Anthony"s Pregnant Mistress Revealed!
NBA stardom and monogamous relationships are like peanut butter and broken glass.
We really have no idea what possesses people to try and make it work, but they do, and the outcome is pretty much always awful.
The latest relationship to fall victim to a situation where the husband is a young millionaire who spends much of the year traveling to America’s biggest cities is that of Carmelo and La La Anthony.
Carmelo and La La broke up earlier this week, and for obvious reasons, the news didn’t come as a huge shock.
To the surprise of absolutely no one, it turned out that Carmelo got busted cheating.
It wasn’t until Tuesday of this week that this story really took an interesting turn.
And by “interesting,” of course, we mean La La’s divorce lawyers haven’t stopped grinning for 72 hours.
It seems that Carmelo got his mistress pregnant, and found that it’s tough to hide that sort of thing from your wife.
Now, we’re finding out a little bit more about the woman who will soon be bringing a little Melo into the world.
That’s Mia Angel Burks, and she’s a 24-year-old a recent Northwestern grad with a master’s degree in health communication.
It seems that Melo and Mia initially planned to keep the pregnancy a secret, but a friend of hers named Anthony Jacobs went public with news of their relationship in response to false reports that Anthony had gotten a stripper pregnant.
“Mia met Carmelo at Room Seven, a club in Chicago, when he was here for the NBA draft doing press,” Jacobs told a Chicago-based radio show.
“She’s not a stripper … she works in education setting up programs.”
Jacobs says Melo initially treated hooking up with Mia in Chicago as just another hookup on the road – but Burks had something more serious in mind.
“Carmelo wasn’t taking her serious to the point where she started to buy her own plane tickets to go see him,” Jacobs claims.
He maintains, however, that her interest in Anthony wasn’t the result of his fame and fortune, but rather a genuine belief that they’d made a connection:
“She was more giddy about it than anything,” Jacobs says.
“When those type of girls talk to those kind of guys, I don’t think that’s the premise in the back of their head, ‘I’m gonna go destroy this happy home.’”
He adds:
“Mia seems low-key and doesn’t obsess over Carmelo. There are some girls who become obsessed with the players, that’s not the case with [her].”
It’s unclear exactly when Mia got pregnant, but apparently she and Melo had been hooking up for several months at the time.
You know what they say: Nothing ruins a good affair like a pregnancy!
