Amy Schumer: I"ve Been "Flat-Out Raped"

Amy Schumer has made a living joking about sex.

She even got VERY candid about giving her then-boyfriend a blow job last March.

But the comedian is very much aware that sexual assault is no laughing matter, and she’s here to tell her full story about an unfortunate past experience in this realm.

“I’ve been flat-out raped,” Schumer told Katie Couric this week for the reporter’s Wonder Women podcast series.

Such an admission marks the first time Schumer has used this word when describing her troubled history.

In her autobiography, The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, Schumer did write about how her first sexual encounter was NOT consensual.

She also opened up about the incident to Marie Claire in 2016, telling the magazine at the time:

“My first sexual experience was not a good one.”

Schumer told Howard Stern something similar that same year, saying she fell asleep one night alongside her high school boyfriend and woke up with him inside of her.

She did not press charges.

She even stayed with the boyfriend and found herself comforting him at times over what had happened.

“People, they want you to have been raped perfectly, and they want you to be a perfect victim,” Schumer told Stern, explaining how sexual assaults vary and the types of victims very.

At the end of the day, however, non-consensual sex is non-consensual sex.

“We’re so critical and it makes victims really not wanna speak up,” Schumer added.

That was in 2016.

Fast forward nearly two years and we’re in the middle of a #MeToo movement in which women are finally starting to feel empowered and in which sexual assault is at last being treated like the very serious issue that it is.

Recalling this same incident with her high school boyfriend, Schumer told Couric:

“I didn’t think about it until I started reading my journal again.

“When it happened, I wrote about it almost like a throwaway. It was like, ‘And then I looked down and realized he was inside of me. He was saying, I’m so sorry and I can’t believe I did this."”

She continued:

“This was 17 years ago. There are just so many factors. I had another time with a boyfriend where I was saying, ‘No, stop,’ and it was just completely ignored.”

Schumer now realizes that none of this was okay.

Moreover, Schumer says flat-out rape or assault is easy to identify.

But there are plenty of other situation that also require women to speak out and men to shape up.

“If you have a doctor that makes you uncomfortable, or you get a massage, or you have a date with someone and they coerce you in a situation like the Aziz [Ansari] one, I don’t think there’s any sort of criminal charge, but I think that it’s good for everybody to learn that that behavior’s not acceptable,” she says.

“It’s not a crime, but it’s not cool. And it can still really mess with a woman.”

In this case, Schumer is referring to Aziz Ansari being accused of sexual misconduct after going on a date with a woman who claims she repeatedly made it clear to the star that she did not want to go as far physically as he wanted to go.

Khloe Kardashian: I"m Happier Than I"ve Ever Been -- Sorry, Lamar!

If you’ve seen or heard anything from Khloe Kardashian lately, you’ve probably noticed one thing …

Well, a couple of things. There’s no denying that baby bump these days!

But besides the pregnancy — though we’re sure the pregnancy is a big part of it — she’s really just seemed so happy and peaceful, hasn’t she?

Like after so many ups and downs, she’s finally settled in a place where she wants to be in life.

It’s so nice to see.

And if you weren’t near tears over the beautiful turnaround of Khloe Kardashian’s life already, well, let her break it all down for you in this lengthy but super touching Instagram post she made today!

For her photo, she shared an older photo of herself along with a much more recent one — her “revenge body”:

In the caption, she wrote “Sometimes it’s hard for me to post these transformation posts only because I can’t imagine my life being this unhealthy again.”

To clarify, she added that “Never would I ever consider myself fat, but I would consider myself unhealthy mentally/physically and not knowing my true value. Mind, body and soul.”

Aww, KoKo.

“For me,” she wrote, “my transformation started from within. I needed to heal myself from the inside out.”

“Once I started putting myself first, everything started falling into place. My life transformed a few years ago when I made the decision to stop existing and start living.”

A few years ago, of course, is when she split from Lamar Odom and began focusing hard on her fitness.

She’s said many times that she began going to the gym as a way to deal with everything that was going on with Lamar — his downward spiral began while they were still together.

It must have been tough for her to file for divorce and take care of herself when so many people were convinced that they were soulmates, destined to be together forever.

But, as she explained, “I decided when I was ready regardless of what anybody else was saying about me. Regardless of the pressures. I had to do this on my terms or I knew it wouldn’t last.”

“It’s ok to take the control back,” she advised her followers. “Choose your life. Don’t let anybody else decide for you!”

“We are no victims to life but we can become victims and prisoners to the people that we choose to surround ourselves with if we allow them to break us and consume us.”

Anyone else loving this motivational speaker side of Khloe? Because we are kind of living for it.

“Never be afraid to put yourself first!” she preached. “Never choose comfort over your own well-being! Never forget that fate loves the fearless!”

“Today’s wisdom was yesterday’s pain. Tomorrow’s happiness is today’s bravery! I am so proud of myself for being stronger than I’ve ever been — mind body and soul.”

And she should be — we still don’t know all that went on with her marriage to Lamar, but just considering what we do know, it’s amazing that she’s been able to pull herself up like this.

We all saw how deeply she loved him, and we also saw how deeply he betrayed her. She definitely should be proud of her strength.

Khloe also wrote that she’s “even prouder of myself that I’ve been able to maintain a healthy lifestyle for so many years. I broke that cycle and I’m happier than I have ever been!”

“You can do this!! Start from within and nothing can stop you,” she finished. “Elevate yourself — mind body and soul.”

It’s no wonder why so many people refer to her as the best Kardashian, huh?

Rain Brown Responds to Gay Rumors: I"ve Accepted My Sexuality

Back in October, Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown was praised for her pro-equality message that she shared on Instagram.

Some fans, however, wondered if her message about LGBT rights might be a little personal. And, rudely, a couple of fans boldly asked Rain if she’s gay.

Though she had every right to ignore the questions, Rain decided to come clean and answer them.

Like the rest of her family, Rain Brown has a lot on her plate.

Since no, Ami Brown’s cancer wasn’t miraculously cured despite our hopes and best wishes, she’s still contending with her mother’s battle with lung cancer.

That’s hard for anyone to deal with, especially a girl who’s only just turned 15.

Reportedly, the Brown family is filming Season 8 in Colorado. We don’t know how much they’ve filmed — possibly just a promo or two — but filming a reality series is no joke.

Oh, and with Rain’s Instagram account having reached over 45,000 followers in just a few months, she’s dealing with a lot of social media pressures as both a teenage girl and her family’s de facto spokesperson.

It’s through social media that some people decided to give her a hard time by grilling her about her sexuality.

Folks, straight-up asking somebody their sexual orientation is fine sometimes, awkward at other times, and sexual harassment in other contexts.

When total strangers are asking a 15-year-old girl her sexual orientation, that’s seriously crossing some boundaries.

Apparently, Rain’s short hair, or perhaps the fact that she calls her fans “rainbows,” or perhaps her recent message about equality, led some fans to wonder about her sexuality, which is no one’s business by Rain’s.

We don’t know if they expected Rain to answer, but she did.

Rain shared an optimistic post, as she often does, and a fan straight-up commented:

“Are you gay?”

Though we’d have absolutely understood if Rain had ignored the comment, she decided to reply with a very direct answer:

“No, I’m straight.”

Rain didn’t stop there, though.

“And I call my fans rainbows because my name is Rain, but you do you boo.”

She added to that a kissy face emoji. Some people would add that as an insult, but coming from Rain, we think that it’s to show that there are no hard feelings over the question.

On another photo, a different fan commented:

“I wonder if [Rain] has accepted her sexuality yet?”

(Folks, if you want to speculate over somebody’s sexuality, do it in private or not at all — not on that person’s Instagram page)

Rain replied:

“I’m straight … so yeah, I have.”

That’s a polite reply but we believe that we detect an air of frustration.

To be clear, the sexuality question is inappropriate, not because gay people are somehow inherently inappropriate, but because it’s nobody’s beeswax. Also, it can constitute harassment.

She shouldn’t be faced with these questions, folks.

Not just because plenty of LGBT+ folks don’t feel comfortable coming out at 15 (if they’re even aware), but because it’s straight-up inappropriate.

We understand the desire to know as much as possible about the stars you admire.

And, quite frankly, a lot of television is starved for decent LGBT+ representation. Reality television is definitely included.

But instead of asking stars to come out — whether they’re actually gay or not — how about if we all instead mind our own business?

Especially when the reality stars in question are, you know, 15.

Bam Bam Brown: THIS is What I"ve Been Up To!

With so many members of the Brown family gathered in Colorado to film Alaskan Bush People … or so fans hope … it’s easy to remember that some of the Browns are conspicuously absent.

Bam Bam Brown hasn’t exactly been in the public eye all that much.

But now he’s giving updates on himself, his girlfriend, and their boat-related adventures.

Of the “missing” Browns, Noah is usually the easiest to spot.

Though fans have been pissed at Noah Brown for “abandoning” his family, he’s actually remained pretty visible.

Fans bump into him and his fiancee, Rhain, in various parts of the US.

We know that Noah’s goal is to eventually move to Alaska and become sheriff of a small town.

(No idea why that’s his desire, but live your dreams, my guy)

We’ve known for a while now that Bam Bam Brown is living on a boat with his girlfriend, Alli.

During Season 6 of Alaskan Bush People, Bam Bam Brown parted ways with his family and the show to live his own life.

He went with Alli (Allison Kagan), who was a producer on Alaskan Bush People. The two of them are dating.

Reports said that it was a luxury yacht, which is … true and yet not true, as we’ve learned.

Bam Bam is clearing the air and giving fans a thorough update on his life.

The boat thing is true! But a little more complicated.

See the boat was built in 1986, and needed a lot of work. And Bam Bam and Alli have been doing a lot of that themselves, as you can see in the above photo.

On November 1st, Bam Bam tweeted:

“Celebrating 1 year with our little girl. All she needed was a little TLC and a new name. #boatanniversary #alsostarteddatingayearagotoday”

By “our little girl,” they definitely mean their boat. Don’t panic that there’s been a secret Brown grandchild that we never knew about until she had already turned one.

(Though that would be quite something)

On a Twitter account dedicated to their boat, now named Fathom This, Bam Bam and Alli (who run the account together) shared a series of tweets detailing changes that they had made.

They disposed of old, ’80s tiling and gave other much-needed updates to the boat.

Rather than calling it a yacht, they choose to characterize it as a ferry.

In an update, Bam Bam described how they decided that they wanted to do this:

“The boat idea came to us when we were on the Staten Island ferry … and how cool it would be to have a space that large and also be on the water.”

Wow. It’s rare to hear anything positive related to Staten Island. We don’t mean that in a mean way, just … it’s literally rare to hear that kind of positivity.

“Alli searched and found the old ferry just before she was going to be sold for scrap!”

A real fixer-upper, then.

“We have been gutting and renovating her ever since. … Alli has great artistic vision and huge plans for the renovation.”

Admittedly, if it’s been a year and you’re still talking about “plans” and “vision,” things aren’t coming along super quickly.

But hey, what’s the rush?

Also, other members of the Brown family will be pitching in, as Bam Bam writes:

“My dad is excited to help us with the plumbing, and the rest of the family can’t wait to come aboard.”

And it looks like he’ll keep us all updated:

“We are excited for you to follow her progress … and unveil her when she is finally finished!”

Bam Bam and Alli did add, almost as an afterthought:

“Also, we are not moving to the Bahamas…although that would be nice.”

We have a sad suspicion that Ami Brown’s stage 4 lung cancer has, well, made it harder for any of the Brown family to make decisions as they otherwise might have.

Maybe Bam Bam and Alli were planning on living in the Bahamas at one point, or maybe they weren’t.

But it’s hard to imagine them being comfortable settling down while Ami is fighting for her life.

Whatever Bam Bam and Alli have planned, though, we’re excited to see more of it.

And if the family’s planning to come aboard, we wonder if — even though it doesn’t fit the show’s brand — we might see Bam Bam’s boat on Alaskan Bush People.

Evan Rachel Wood: This is Why I"ve Never Named My Rapists!

With the very public accusations of Harvey Weinstein raping multiple women and the details of decades of sexual harassment against women working in the film industry, a lot of people are talking about how this happens.

Along with rightful condemnations, there are also people asking why these women — some of whom are quite famous — stayed quiet for so long.

Evan Rachel Wood, herself an actress and also a rape survivor, has made a lengthy video in which she shares her thoughts on why women — herself included — don"t come forward sooner.

In the lengthy but captivating video titled "I"m here to tell you that I"m afraid," Evan Rachel Wood first discusses the politicization of the Harvey Weinstein story and how both sides of the political aisle aren"t helping anyone by trying to make it a political issue.

She"s right — it doesn"t matter what side of the aisle a rapist is on. We should all stand united against that sort of evil.

Then she talks about what makes women so often take so long to report sexual assaults.

"In this case, and in many cases, when women come forward with a story about sexual assault or sexual harassment, people are very quick to try to discredit them or knock them down or look for any sign of foul play or any reason not to believe them."

That is a tragic reality. Everyone plays a volunteer defense attorney.

"I think that some of this comes from trying to protect innocent people from being accused falsely."

Keep in mind that false accusations, though extremely rare in proportion to the number of actual sexual assaults, do occasionally happen.

"But we"ve got to find a way to find a balance, because right now, people are wondering why more women didn"t come forward sooner. And why in a lot of these cases, one woman will come out multiple women will come out and then the floodgates are open."

She explains why that happens.

"People are wondering why women don"t come forward sooner or why they come out in numbers. It"s because it"s safer. They do not feel safe enough to do so. Period."

Safety in numbers, right?

"And I"m guilty of this as well, because I have not named my abusers."

That is totally her choice to make. None of us can decide for her.

"Not because I don"t plan on saying people"s names eventually, but because … to start that process is an emotionally draining, financially draining, really everything-draining thing to do."

That"s sadly true. It"s not uncommon for wealthy rapists to sue their victims into silence. Rape is very difficult to prove in our justice system, sadly, which also means that it"s difficult to prove if you"re sued for slander or defamation for calling someone out on being a sexual predator.

And lawsuits are horribly expensive. You can win a lawsuit and still go bankrupt.

But she says that she"ll do it when she"s ready.

"If you want to know who my perpetrators were, they were very powerful, very rich, very entitled, very narcissistic white men."

That is, unfortunately, not an uncommon profile for sexual predators.

"And I haven"t named my abusers for a number of reasons. One, I"m one person against some very powerful people. Two, money and time and re-traumatizing yourself. To go after the person who assaulted you takes quite a toll. It is a terrifying thing to have to go through."

With members of the public scrutinizing everything you"ve said and done out of what looks like some perverse drive to defend the accused, it sure sounds terrifying.

"Mainly because you"re at risk of not being believed, you career being hurt, you being drained of your finances. Because it costs a lot of money to file a lawsuit and to go to court with somebody. Especially if all that you have is your word against theirs."

Like we said, wealth can be a powerful suit of armor against all sorts of allegations.

"And especially if these are very powerful people. Once again, you"re at the mercy of your abusers. And you"ve kicked a hornet"s nest. And you have a target on your back."

Evan Rachel Wood speaks about how all of this can be discouraging to women who have been raped by less powerful men, too.

"Look at all of the people that have gone free. There is something in society that tells us not to trust women. And there"s something in society that makes us desensitized."

That is a sad, sad reality.

As for why Evan Rachel Wood doesn"t name the men who assaulted her, even though they might prey upon other women?

"I am not ready to go through that and to relive those things."

We absolutely do not blame her. No one can make that decision for a survivor of any kind of assault or abuse.

Evan rachel wood this is why ive never named my rapists

Barbara Evans: I"ve Seen Jenelle Evans Abuse Her Kids!

Things are not looking good for Jenelle Evans these days.

It’s true that things rarely look good for Jenelle thanks to a wealth of self-created problems, but now the Carolina Hurricane is facing a two-pronged attack on her character that may cost her custody of her youngest son.

Jenelle has been battling Nathan Griffith over custody of 3-year-old Kaiser for years now, but the sudden involvement of Nathan’s mother, Doris Davidson.

Davidson has gone public with allegations that Jenelle neglects her children and physically abuses them.

She also claims that Jenelle did drugs while pregnant with daughter Ensley, who was born earlier this year.

Davidson’s claims have prompted an investigation, and if they’re proven accurate, she’ll likely lose custody of Kaiser entirely.

She’s already lost custody of her eldest son, Jace, who is currently under the care of Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans.

Now, in a development that may sink Jenelle’s chances of fighting the charges against her, Barbara has sided with the Davidson and Griffith and confirmed that the allegations about Evans and her fiance, David Eason, are absolutely true.

“Jace told me David hit Kaiser,” Barbara tells Radar Online in a new interview.

“Kaiser was pulling his diaper off because it had poop in it, and David got so mad that he spanked him really hard.”

Barbara says she believes Kaiser bears the brunt of David’s temper for a very specific reason:

“I’ve been worried about Kaiser for a long time,” she says.

“We think because he looks like Nathan, David gets more angry with him because of that fact.”

She adds:

“I think he’s trying to get rid of him, and then he’ll only have his own two kids and Jenelle in the house. He’s a conniving little thing.”

As for Davidson’s allegation that Jenelle locked Kaiser and Jace out of the house on a “very hot day,” Barbara says she can confirm that the incident took place:

“It is true that Jenelle locked Jace and Kaiser out,” Barbara says.

“It was over 100 degrees. Jace told me. He was upset. Because Kaiser kept going in and out of the house, David locked them out.”

Barbara says Jenelle is making the same mistakes she made with Jace, and she expects her daughter to suffer similar consequences:

“All they do is take trips all the time. She has him the week of her wedding but because she’s going on a honeymoon she said she’s going to put him with somebody,” Barbara tells Radar.

“That’s his school week off! He will be there for the wedding. But they are ditching all the kids to go on a honeymoon. I asked her ‘Why are you doing that?’”

She concludes:

“I want to say to Jenelle, ‘What the hell is wrong with you? You just went through it with Jace and you lost him again. Stop doing this.’”

Anfisa Arkhipchenko: Yes, I"ve Had Plastic Surgery. But Still!

Anfisa Arkhipchenko is slamming reports that she’s undergone plastic surgery.

Or, to be more precise, Anfisa Arkhipchenko is slamming reports that she’s undergone plastic surgery… and looks totally different now.

The 90 Day Fiance star was the subject of a recent In Touch Weekly article in which the tabloid wrote the following headline:

90 Day Fiance Star Anfisa Arkhipchenko Looked Like a Totally Different Person Before Plastic Surgery.

The cable network personality didn’t take issue with the premise of the post, conceding that, yes, she’s had some work done. She’s actually had a decent amount of work done.

But Arkhipchenko took to Facebook in protest of the claim that she’s somehow a “totally different person” now than she was before these procedures.

“These gossip websites(In Touch Weekly) are something else… saying I looked “like a totally different person before plastic surgery,” she wrote in response, adding:

“A lot of people say the same thing under most of my pictures.”

Arkhipchenko went on to say she wanted to “end all speculation” and proceeded to share two side-by-side photos.

One can be considered a “before” image (the one In Touch included in its article) and the other Arkhipchenko says is an “unedited recent screenshot from 90 Day Fiance.”

“So where is this totally different person?” she asks.

“Different eyebrows, yes. Different lips. 3-4 years older. I don’t think this makes me “totally different”. What do you think?”

Most followers seemed to think Arkhipchenko was correct in her assessment.

“You look the same to me! Screw the haters,” one fan wrote on this Facebook post, while another added:

“First off, they are just idiots. Of course, someone 18 is gonna look different by age 22. They are still growing and maturing!”

That’s true.

Of course, Arkhipchenko admits here that she also has new eyebrows and lips. But hey, whatever.

Arkhipchenko has never been one to sit back and let critics or haters just have their say. Even if her husband is one of the haters.

Back in July, Anfisa accused Jorge Nava of domestic violence. Because he hit or shoved her? No.

“Did you guys know that neglecting your spouse and having total control of money(financial abuse) in a relationship is considered domestic violence?” she asked on 90 Day Fiance.

“Why aren’t people talking about this? Do Americans have more rights than foreigners when it comes to DV?

“That’s a serious matter that is being completely ignored. Maybe I need to bring more awareness to this.”

Maybe. Or maybe not, considering this is NOT an example of domestic violence.

But that’s another issue. The one at hand is this:

Do you think Anfisa Arkhipchenko went too far with her plastic surgery?
