Lana Del Rey: Knife-Wielding Stalker Tried to Kidnap Her
Look, we all love Lana Del Rey. Even when we can’t directly relate to her songs that seem to be about another universe, and even when her songs seem like they’re the world’s worst product placement for a soda brand, we love her haunting melodies.
Unfortunately, with fame and popularity come stalkers. And Lana Del Rey’s stalker was arrested after trying to kidnap her.
As you’ve probably guessed, this whole thing went down in Florida.
“OPD Media release on arrest of Michael Hunt, 43, who stalked, made threats against singer Lana Del Rey.”
First of all, we’re so glad that he was arrested and so horrified that this was happening in the first place.
Second of all, what is a guy named Michael Hunt doing stalking Lana Del Rey? A man with that name in his forties should clearly be the main character on a CBS drama that runs for way more season than anyone would have guessed.
“Working off a tip, OPD Officers were able to stop Hunt, who was armed with a knife, before he could get to the Amway Center.”
That is … absolutely terrifying. And there are further details.
Orlando Police shared further details:
“On Friday, February 2nd, Orlando Police received a tip about a possible kidnapping threat to singer Lana Del Rey (Elizabeth Woolridge Grant), who was scheduled to perform at the Amway Center that night.”
Absolutely horrifying.
“The threats were reportedly made by Michael Hunt, 43, of Riverview, Florida.”
We don’t know who called in the tip, but they may have saved lives.
“OPD detectives considered the information a credible threat, and took investigative measures to locate Hunt.”
“OPD Officers came in contact with Hunt at Hughey Avenue and Central Boulevard on Friday evening, one block from the Amway Center. When he was taken into custody, Hunt was in possession of tickets to the Lana Del Rey performance and a knife.”
To reiterate, they caught him before he could (allegedly) try anything.
“At no time was he able to make contact with Ms. Grant.”
That is such a relief.
“Hunt is currently being held at the Orange County Jail on no bond. The charges are Aggravated Stalking with a Credible Threat and Attempted Kidnapping with a Weapon.”
Those are some hefty charges.
The Orlando Police press release goes on to remind everyone that they always have security measures in place at these events, and that some of those measures are obviously visible while others are not.
They also acknowledge that, without the tip, it is unlikely that they would have found and detained Michael Hunt with such alacrity.
If he’d been caught in the act of carrying out his alleged plan, we can’t help but wonder what sorts of injuries might have been inflicted.
For her part, Lana Del Rey responded to fan concerns over Twitter:
“Hey kiddos. I’m doing fine thanks for the messages. And tomorrow we’ll be in Hotlanta can’t wait to see everyone. Yachty that means u.”
We’ve heard about Lana Del Rey’s struggles with depression and panic attacks. So there’s no way to know how much this is actually impacting her from one tweet.
Remember that story a few years ago about a stalker who’d broken into one of Lana’s homes while she was away and reported to the internet that they’d found mostly books about witchcraft?
On one level, that news is endearing (and you’d think that Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks would bond over that, at least); on another, that it came from a stalker who broke in is nothing short of alarming.
Celebs deserve privacy within their own homes, no matter how public of a figure they might be. They also deserve to be safe from knife-wielding maniacs.
Lana Del Rey may seem like an eldritch apparition who hails from an alternate universe where everything’s black and white, but she’s a real person with real feelings.

Farrah Abraham SLAMS Simon Saran: He"s a Stalker!
Yesterday, Farrah Abraham’s smarmy ex, Simon Saran confirmed that he’s done with Farrah and quitting the show that made him famous.
Yes, fans of Teen Mom: OG, we regret to report that the upcoming Being Simon special that’s somehow a thing is the last you’ll see of Mr. Saran on screen.
But that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to continue enjoying his always-amusing social media feuds.
It looks as though Simon’s beef with Amber Portwood has come to an end, but these days, he’s turned his attention to a much more deserving target.
Yes, now that his time on the show has reached it’s conclusion, Simon is squaring off against the Teen Mom end boss.
We’re talking, of course, about Farrah herself.
Unlike all of his other feuds, it doesn’t look like Simon started this one.
But he’s certainly hell-bent on having the last word.
“FYI Simon is not in my life and really is hurt I’ve moved on,” Farrah tweeted, possibly in response to yesterday’s interviews.
“Free ride is over! Stop talking about me if you’re over me lmao,” she added.
Demonstrating the dearth of wit for which he’s become semi-famous, Saran shot back:
“Worst free ride ever!”
As online comebacks go, it’s about the equivalent of a schoolyard “I know you are, but what am I?” but it was enough to get Farrah’s goat.
“Why are you trying to get attention, you’re pathetic & I’m a great mother, professional, friend & women. Go STOP using me for money.”
“What money?” Simon replied, prompting Farrah to call him “jealous” and accuse him of “stalking” her dates.
As you can see, this is some extremely high-minded Lincoln-Douglas debate stuff.
Farrah offered the above screen shot as proof that Simon is still texting her:
“Simon you wanna lie this is you just texting me,” she captioned the image.
“Get a life – no one wants your nasty low life style. Your hateful, user, fame whore.”
She added:
“Thanks 2 me you got your own ‘Being Simon’ special. Simon wants to be on TV so much! F–king joke! Be thankful not hateful.”
As a parting shot, she retweeted a fan who wrote:
“@F1abraham you and simon were in trouble when his tits got bigger then yours.”

Kendall Jenner Recalls Stalker Drama: He Looked Homeless!
The Kardashians have had their fair share of security concerns over the last few months, but Kendall Jenner"s stalker ordeal was eclipsed by Kim Kardashian being robbed at gunpoint.
In fact, we almost forgot all about it. In a sneak peek for Sunday"s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall opens up to Kris Jenner and Scott Disick about what went down.
"I had someone break into my house," the reality TV star said to the camera. "I used to be the one who was so independent. I was always kind of by myself, in a good way, but now it"s like, fully flipped."
"So I came home one night, and there was a guy sitting on the side of my street, and I was like, "That"s so weird." He just looked like a homeless man," Kendall revealed to Jenner and Disick.
"I drove around and went into my house, and I watched the gate close. I turned my car off, getting my stuff together. I"m about to open my door and look in my rear-view mirror, and he was standing right there. In the gate, right behind my car."
"I need to talk to you," she said she heard the man say.
"I was like, "No, you need to leave,"" Kendall continued. "I called one of my friends immediately. I"m sobbing, crying. He was at my window, banging on my window, screaming at me."
The man was later named as Shavaughn McKenzie, and Jenner testified against the man on October 13. It must have been a horrible situation for her.
Kris and Scott were clearly concerned by what they were hearing. Kris must have been worried sick about her daughter because of what happened with Kim.
The family really need to ensure they get some good security to look over them at all times. Kim and Kendall being targeted means there is something their security is failing to do.

Chris Brown Admits He"s a Stalker in Terrifying Instagram Confession
Hey, so you know that thing that Chris Brown does where he"s a terrible human being?
Well, he"s at it again!
To recap, in case you"ve somehow managed to block out any and all information about Chris Brown for the past decade or so, Chris has quite the temper.
We found out about it, of course, when he viciously assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009.
Since then, he"s been arrested numerous times, he"s been accused of assault numerous times, and he"s flown into violent rages and destroyed property numerous times.
He"s not a catch, no matter how good he is at dancing.
And Chris is proving that all over again with this new Instagram video, which, fair warning, is filled with expletives and also genuinely upsetting.
In the video, which is directed at the "ladies," he says that women complain when guys are "being, like, stalkers and in love with y"all, kinda crazy and sh-t."
But, as Chris freely admits, he"s one of those crazy stalker guys.
"If I love you, bitch, ain"t nobody gonna have you," he says. "I"m gonna make you miserable."
Look, the most innocuous of men could make the same video and it would raise up about a billion red flags.
But all this coming from Chris Brown, convicted woman beater?
It"s scary. It"s real scary.

Taylor Swift Stalker: Arrested For Violating Protective Order!
Taylor Swift is yet another celebrity who is having some serious stalker drama.
The 26-year-old and her family members have been hounded by the stalker over the past few months and it allegedly came to a head at her October 22 performance at a Formula 1 race.
The stalker is called Frank Andrew Hoover and he sounds like a piece of work. If true that he’s been hounding both Taylor and her family, he should be locked up.
It’s difficult enough for stars, worrying about their own safety. Pursuing her family is completely despicable and it should not go unpunished.
The deluded 39-year-old was spotted tailing Taylor from the track to the airport, managing to get as close as 25 feet to the superstar.
It’s seriously scary stuff and there can never be such a thing as too careful. When confronted by Swift’s bodyguards, the man claimed he wanted to get a picture and “possibly accompany Taylor wherever she goes.”
The dude seriously sounds desperate, but it’s clear he needs some help in order to realize that he’s going the complete wrong way about getting in contact with Swift.
If that was not bad enough, the man also took to emailing Taylor’s father and some of the messages he sent were just downright creepy.
One of the messages went like this: “Without her, I walk the earth alone forever and she’ll continue to experience failed relationships that break her heart.”
The guy sounds like a right loser.
Taylor already had a restraining order against Hoover and that one stated that he was to stay 500 feet away from her. The scary thing about all of this is that he just can’t seem to stay away from her.
Thankfully, he was arrested on Thursday for repeated violation of the protective order and is being held on $ 100,000 bail.
Hopefully Taylor and those closest to her will be able to rest easier knowing that the man is now behind bars. It must be horrible for Swift and everyone close to her, having to look over their shoulder.
Hoover is not the first stalker Taylor has butted heads with. If you recall, a deranged fan showed up at her home earlier this year, distraught about her relationship with Tom Hiddleston.
She has had her fair share of people pursuing her over the years.
