Derek Jeter Confirms Engagement to Hannah Davis

Derek Jeter is officially retired.

From baseball? Yes, but he made that decision over a year ago.

But the former New York Yankees shortstop and future first-ballot Hall of Famer has now confirmed he’s also retired from the single life.

Jeter confirmed this week that he really is engaged to Hannah Davis.

He made the announcement in a roundabout, subtle way, posting an entry on The Player’s Tribute about life as a dog owner.

“I had no idea what I was in for as a new dog owner,” Jeter wrote. He was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancée, whose family had Mastiffs growing up.

“I’ve never owned a pet in my life.”

You caught it, right? The word fiancée there?

Jeter and Davis got together way back in 2012.

Wedding chatter has surrounded them for years, but it grew especially strong late last month.

This is the first time either half of the gorgeous couple has commented publicly on the engagement, however.

Prior to bagging the beautiful model, Jeter didn’t just play the field for the Yankees.

He also played the female field, having dated such stars as Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel, Jordana Brewster and Minka Kelly over the years.

“Derek is totally in love with her. He thinks she’s beautiful, sweet, and sexy!” a source tells Us Weekly of Davis. “All of Derek’s friends are jealous that his fiancée is so beautiful.”

Really, was there ever any doubt she would be?
