Nathaniel Marston Dies; Veteran Actor Was 40

Nathaniel Marston, a veteran actor best known for a six-year run on One Life to Live, died on Wednesday due to injuries he suffered in a car accident.

He was 40 years old.

Marston’s mother, Elizabeth, confirmed her son’s tragic passing via a Facebook message last night.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share this devastating news,” she wrote. “My beloved and cherished son… who was putting up the good fight until last night was not able to continue due to the traumatic and devastating nature of his injuries.

“Nathaniel passed away peacefully as I held him in my arms.”

The actor, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle after getting into an accident on October 30 near Reno, Nevada.

He was placed on life-support after breaking his shoulder, ribs and five vertebrae in the crash.

His injuries, which Dr.’s did their best to heal were not responding to treatment and one after another his bodily functions failed to support his life,” Elizabeth added in her Facebook post.

Aside from his role as Michael McBain on One Life to Live, Marston appeared in episodes of Blue Bloods, Law & Order: SVU, Castle and White Collar.

Wrote former co-star Kristen Alderson on Twitter upon hearing the news:

“Nathaniel is now in a better place and knows of all of the love and prayers that were sent to him.”
