The sun has set on another Hollywood relationship.
Diane Kruger, 40, and Joshua Jackson, 38, have split up after ten years of dating.
A rep for the couple confirmed the news to People Magazine on July 18th.
“Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson have decided to separate and remain friends,” the statement read.
The two share a home together in New York that they purchased in March, which Kruger told Net-A-Porter was a big deal for her.
[Moving] was a major commitment,” the German-born actress admitted.
“That’s a big step into adulthood for me, to allow that time for someone else out of my time.”
Kruger’s Instagram’s over the weekend were cryptic, alluding to the closing of a chapter and goodbyes.
Three days ago, Kruger posted her horoscope, which – as far as she was concerned – was pretty accurate.
“Forget about what might have been and focus on what is going to be,” it read.
“Take today, and every day, as it comes and don’t bother looking too far ahead. There is already a plan guiding your life – all you have to do is follow it.”
“Of all the days this is my horoscope today,” she said.
In another Instagram, Kruger recorded a video as her plane left New York. “It’s just an au revoir, not an adieu,” she wrote.
She’s currently filming Tout nous sépare with Catherine Deneuve.
Kruger posted yet another cryptic Instagram today, this time a quote by Jimi Hendrix.
“the story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye,” it read.
“The story of love is hello and good-bye until we meet again.”
In 2014 Jackson explained to Glamourwhy he and Kruger never felt the need to marry.
“I don’t feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party.
“We’re both children of divorce, so it’s hard for me to take marriage at face value as the thing that shows you’ve grown up and are committed to another person.”
