Kim Cattrall vs Sarah Jessica Parker: Andy Cohen Says It"s Not a Catfight
What began as a missing person"s case has ended in tragedy. Kim Cattrall"s brother has died at 55.
When Kim"s former costar, Sarah Jessica Parker, reached out with her condolences, Kim Cattrall shot her down.
As you can hear below, no one is more flabbergasted at this than Andy Cohen, who has waded into this feud to defend Sarah Jessica Parker.
After Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall"s missing brother"s body was discovered, she shared the crushing news on Instagram.
Among the flurry of sympathetic responses was a comment from Sarah Jessica Parker.
"Dearest Kim, my love and condolensces to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. xx"
Kim"s reply was … intense.
"I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker."
The message, a full post on Instagram, continued, and Kim Cattrall made herself every clear.
"Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend."
That"s … extremely harsh.
"So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona."
While Kim Cattrall is certainly grieving, the level of enmity here is palpable. And it"s also nothing new.
This is where Andy Cohen comes in, speaking on his SiriusXM channel, Radio Andy.
"I thought it was fake. I was like, ‘There’s no way Kim Cattrall has posted this on her Instagram.’ This is a women who is in the middle of grieving the loss of her brother, which is tragic and sad."
It is a crushing loss. But Kim really did post that on Instagram.
"She accused SJP of exploiting a tragedy … She follows Kim on Instagram, Kim posted about her brother dying, and she expressed her condolences on the post … She posted it in a comment!"
Posting it in a comment, which is quickly buried under other comments and doesn"t draw people to your own page, is generally seen as more respectful if you"re walking on eggshells and don"t want to be accused of exploiting a situation.
Andy Cohen goes on and continues to express his bewilderment.
"I would not call that ‘exploiting a tragedy.’ What was she supposed to do? Say something bad? I mean, I don’t understand."
Most people are lucky enough to not understand what Kim Cattrall is going through, but that doesn"t necessarily excuse an entire post dedicated to blasting a former friend over condolences.
"I also don’t like it that people are characterizing this as a catfight."
The way that Andy sees things, it takes two to tango, this thing — whatever it is — seems to be very one-sided.
"There’s only one person fighting here … I even kind of, admittedly, didn’t try to stir it up on Watch What Happens Live when Sarah was on, but I was like, ‘What do you think?’ Sarah only said the nicest things about her … It’s a catfight of one from where I see it."
Admittedly, we"re inclined to feel the same way as Andy does — rudeness and hostility on this level is shocking.
At the same time, if someone"s made it clear that they don"t want you in any way to be part of your life, it"s good to respect that, even if you find it hurtful or unfair.
Even so — one wonders what sorts of things people would say about Sarah Jessica Parker if it became known that she had said nothing about Kim"s loss. It"s a no-win situation.

Andy Cohen: I Did NOT Offer Cocaine to Kathy Griffin!
Kathy Griffin is a comedian, actress, and former reality star. She is also deeply embattled in a scandal that is (at least partially) of her own making.
Over the weekend, she went on the offensive and made a series of accusations — at one point accusing Andy Cohen of having offered her cocaine, and more than once.
Andy Cohen is speaking out in response.
To talk about this, we absolutely have to talk about how this all began.
Context matters.
In late May, Kathy Griffin posed with a “decapitated” Donald Trump — a mask coated in ketchup. Though she never intended for the photo to get out, it did.
To say that it was controversial is … a massive understatement.
Obviously, the anger from conservatives wasn’t a surprise — it was clearly an artistic attack on Trump.
Many progressives were also incensed, and not out of any special fondness for the Donald.
We think that a big problem that people had with Kathy’s leaked photo was that it gave fodder for the embattled President and his administration to seek sympathy.
(Remember how Trump ludicrously claimed that his preteen son thought that the pic was real? A transparent ploy for sympathy that many felt that Kathy enabled)
Additionally, following 8 years of images of Obama being lynched — at rallies and even as yard decorations — a lot of progressive Americans felt like Kathy Griffin’s picture cost them the moral high ground.
(Even though, you know, it was just one photo with zero racial undertones and was also leaked rather than released)
Kathy Griffin apologized, but … the world did not seem to be in a forgiving mood.
The entertainment industry, which regularly continues to employ people accused of domestic violence or sexual harassment, has effectively blacklisted Kathy Griffin.
Even a lot of people who were deeply frustrated with Kathy Griffin for taking a photo in such poor taste (and, regardless of your feelings about Trump, the picture is not tasteful and frankly pretty juvenile) were shocked that she lost a whole bunch of regular jobs.
The ensuing scandal cost her her famous friendship with Anderson Cooper as well as her job cohosting New Year’s Eve.
Pointing out that things were blown out of proportion, Kathy Griffin has retracted her apology.
(We get it — the apology still didn’t do her any good)
And the fallout from Kathy Griffin’s Trump scandal is still ruining her life, resulting in her family receiving death threats.
Well, news broke that Anderson Cooper’s New Year’s Eve cohost would be Andy Cohen.
Andy Cohen, when asked about Kathy Griffin by TMZ‘s cameras, pulled the famous Mariah Carey line — saying that he doesn’t “even know her.”
Kathy … was not amused.
Kathy Griffin went off on a huge rant, aiming her ire at both Andy Cohen and at Harvey Levin.
She accused Harvey Levin, the head of TMZ, of collusion with Donald Trump, echoing similar reports from the past year.
She accused Andy Cohen of having been a nightmarish boss when her reality series, My Life On The D-List, was airing on Bravo.
There was … a lot, in her (lengthy) video.
She talked about being on “lists” at airports and about how she continues to be blacklisted by just about everyone.
(If a network or streaming platform is brave enough, maybe she can make a “My Life On The Blacklist” miniseries … though it might be confused with a certain CBS drama)
One thing in particular that Kathy said about Andy Cohen, her former boss who has also had her as a guest on his talk show a couple of times, is an accusation that he twice offered her cocaine.
“Both times I did the show, right before we went live, Andy Cohen privately asked me in an office if I wanted to do blow,” she said.
“I’ve never had a drink in my life. You guys know I’m no prude but I’m kind of like a straightedge, I thought he was kidding the first time.”
Honestly, in light of more inflammatory statements, Kathy Griffin’s accusation that a guy working in the entertainment industry does drugs almost flew under the radar.
Andy Cohen, however, is speaking out about it.
Andy Cohen categorically denies Kathy’s accusation.
“I am completely stunned by this story. It is 100% false and totally made up,” he tweeted over the weekend.
Honestly, we’re not going to weigh in on who is right. We imagine that there might be other celebrities who will (or won’t) speak up if Andy Cohen has ever made them a similar offer.
We will say that we would never have advised anyone to make such an offer to Kathy Griffin. She has a tendency to cross boundaries in her stand-up and share private conversations.
Obviously.
You know what our real takeaway from the whole Kathy Griffin scandal is?
This is an outspoken opponent of the current President and also a reality star known for her outlandish comments. The very idea of her entering politics sounds almost like a joke.
So, based upon the bonkers reality of 2016 … is Kathy Griffin going to run for President?
Probably not, but the parallels to Trump seemed worth pointing out.

Kathy Griffin Goes After Andy Cohen, Harvey Levin and More in INSANE Rant!
Kathy Griffin has some things to say.
And, as you’ll see, that’s actually a massive, massive understatement.
Back in May, as you’ll surely remember, Kathy did a photo shoot in which she held the decapitated head of Donald Trump — a Halloween mask covered in ketchup.
It caused quite a stir: she was fired from multiple gigs, and she was even the subject of a federal investigation.
Shortly after sharing the photo, she apologized, explaining that sometimes with comedy, lines can be crossed, and this was one of those times.
But in the months since, she’s retracted her apology because “The whole thing got so blown out of proportion.”
She said that the photo didn’t only cost her jobs, but friends began turning against her, she and her family started getting death threats.
And now, five months later, she’s still dealing with the backlash.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Andy Cohen would be replacing Kathy on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, and when Andy was asked about it by TMZ, he replied with “Who? I don’t know her.”
Meaning that he didn’t know Kathy — you know that classic Mariah Carey move.
Except that Andy and Kathy definitely know each other, since she had a show on Bravo for years. She addressed that in a pointed tweet.
“Even when it’s on tape, there are doubters?” she wrote. “He is NOT kidding w paps. Was my boss for 10 years. Treated me like a dog. Deeply misogynistic.”
She was so upset by Andy’s words that she did a 17 minute video in which she went after him, TMZ boss Harvey Levin, and all the people she’s ever interacted with in her career that did her dirty.
She kicks the video off by explaining that the fallout from the Trump photo is still going on, and it’s actually gotten worse.
To prove that, she shares a voicemail she’d gotten from Harvey — he asked her to call him back for a chat and left his phone number, which she doesn’t disguise at all in the video.
The reason for releasing his phone number, she says, is because after the Trump photo was released, she was doxxed mercilessly — and she feels that since Harvey is “in bed with everybody from Hollywood to Donald Trump,” he deserves similar treatment.
From there, she jumps on to Andy Cohen, who she says was a “miserable boss” during her years at Bravo.
She mocks him a bit for being an executive who then gave himself his own talk show — “seems to get picked up every season,” she joked.
After that, Kathy jumps back to Harvey for a moment — she seems a little scatterbrained throughout the video, honestly, but we can’t really blame her.
She claims that Tyler Shields, the photographer who took the photo, told her that two different people from TMZ told him that Harvey speaks with Trump multiple times a week.
“Is that OK with you guys?” she asks. “The president talking to a gossip blogger?”
Back to Andy, Kathy alleges that the two times she appeared on Watch What Happens Live, he offered her cocaine before filming began. So there’s that.
About TMZ, she says that the website itself is extremely misogynistic, and that ageism is a big problem, too.
“Harvey Levin, have you ever done anything honorable, ever?” she asks. “What do you do besides tear women down and make a bunch of money?”
She actually refers to him as “the gay male version of Kellyanne Conway.”
All throughout the video, she names people — not famous people, just people she’s worked with in the industry — who she feels let her down in some way.
After all this, at the end of the video, she explains that she recorded it in the first place because she’s currently on a world tour, and she’s leaving Australia soon for Singapore.
She’s been advised that she’s on multiple international lists, and that she’s been detained at every airport she’s been to in recent months.
“So when I go to Singapore, if I just don’t return, I just want you guys to know, that’s why. Because I took a picture of a mask with ketchup on it.”

Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick: We"re Pregnant! Again!
We know that Brooklyn Decker had some trouble adjusting to motherhood with her first baby. Hey, that’s normal. Now, the actress and her husband, tennis legend Andy Roddick, have some exciting news.
Brooklyn is pregnant, and they’re expecting a daughter.
Hopefully both parents have learned from the experience that no one can adequately prepare for — having their first child — to prepare for baby number two!
You might remember that Brooklyn Decker gave birth in 2015.
Her son, Hank, is just shy of two years old.
That makes this a pretty reasonable time to have another kid.
Like, two years is a reasonable cooldown time, basically.
And a spacing of two years is pretty healthy for kids so that they can still grow up as peers.
Andy Roddick got to announce the pregnancy during his speech as he was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame.
E! got their hands on the speech and shared Andy’s excited words as he extended his thanks to his wife.
“Brook, I don’t know how you juggle it all. …”
So many husbands say that about their wives.
(Gender roles, much?)
But he’s making a happy announcement and getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, so we’ll let it slide … we guess.
“You hear a lot of guys find it very tough to walk away from professional sports, but you are the reason my personal transition into a quasi-everyday life has been gratifying and full.”
We all remember when Andy Roddick ended his tennis career.
(We remember more because he’s Brooklyn Decker’s husband than because of any interest in sportsball)
He was very emotional at the time, so we guess that he must genuinely enjoy all of that running around outdoors.
But then there’s the big announcement, in which Andy mentions their son.
“Hank will someday realize how lucky he is, and our daughter that’s coming will also realize she has the best mother on Earth.”
That last statement’s a little ambiguous.
Like, Hank is almost two.
That’s old enough to have an opinion about whether or not your mom is awesome.
But we guess that you can love and appreciate your mom without realizing how lucky you are, because you don’t know about the horrors of the world.
So, yeah, that sounds true.
But the big news, of course, is that they’re expecting again!
Brooklyn also shared that photo of herself on Instagram, if in a roundabout way instead of posting it to her own account.
But whatever, Brooklyn looks absolutely gorgeous while pregnant.
(As if that’s some surprise — she was a swimwear model well before she became a famous actress)
Announcing a pregnancy during a speech at an event at which you’re being honored is pretty cool.
Nice of Brooklyn to let him spill the news, since it’s mostly her business to share.
Still, though it’s no fair comparison, this was no match for Beyonce’s naked glory.
We like our pregnancy announcements to be as extra as possible.
