Harry Potter Director Defends Johnny Depp Against Abuse Claims

Back in the early 2000s, Johnny Depp’s transition from oddball indie darling to blockbuster franchise star was the talk of Hollywood.

Not only had Depp made the leap from the arthouse to the A-list, he did so following a late-nineties slump that saw him headlining such forgettable fare as Don Juan DeMarco and The Nick of Time.

Yes, it wasn’t all that long ago that it seemed Johnny Depp could do know wrong–but now those days seem like a distant memory.

These days, Depp’s legal battles make more headlines than his acting triumphs, and many once-faithful fans have fled like rats from a sinking pirate ship.

Most recently, Depp’s lawsuit against his management team, shed light on several less-than-flattering aspects of the 54-year-old’s personal life.

The tabloids focused on more amusing aspects of the court documents, such as Depp’s $ 30,000-a-month wine habit and chronic inability to show up to set on time (which the defendants insist has made him nigh-unemployable).

But the filings also addressed an even darker chapter from Depp’s recent past–shocking allegations of abuse made by the actor’s ex-wife, Amber Heard.

Heard says Depp struck her on multiple occasions, and she offered photographic proof in court, including photos of a black eye and several bruises she says she received at his hands.

She also submitted into evidence footage that she secretly filmed during a drunken tirade by her then-husband (below).

Normally, accusations such as these would be enough to derail even the most beloved movie star’s career.

But for whatever reason, Depp has emerged unscathed, assuming the central role in yet another franchise targeted at children with the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, part of the ongoing Harry Potter saga.

Fans have expressed outrage over Depp’s continued involvement in the series of films (He briefly appeared in 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.) but Warner Bros. currently has no plans to replace him.

Shockingly, director David Yates has now come out with what many consider an indefensible statement in support of Depp:

“Honestly, there’s an issue at the moment where there’s a lot of people being accused of things, they’re being accused by multiple victims, and it’s compelling and frightening,” Yates said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“With Johnny, it seems to me there was one person who took a pop at him and claimed something. I can only tell you about the man I see every day:

“He’s full of decency and kindness, and that’s all I see. Whatever accusation was out there doesn’t tally with the kind of human being I’ve been working with.”

Yates continued:

“By testament, some of the women in [Depp’s] life have said the same thing — ‘that’s not the human being we know.’

“It’s very different [than cases] where there are multiple accusers over many years that need to be examined and we need to reflect on our industry that allows that to roll on year in and year out.

The director concluded:

“Johnny isn’t in that category in any shape or form. So to me, it doesn’t bear any more analysis. It’s a dead issue.”

Obviously, Yates is using languages that’s common to those who defend abusers, reasoning that since he’s never seen Depp’s violent side, it must not exist.

Others involved in the franchise have chosen to remain mum on the issue of Depp, including J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter novels.

Twitter users have even reported being blocked by Rowling after asking about Depp.

Interestingly, Rowling purchased Depp’s yacht earlier this year for several million dollars, and the two are said to have hit it off.

We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.

Brett Ratner: Olivia Munn, 5 Others Accuse Director of Rape, Harassment

You may not be familiar with the name Brett Ratner, but if you’re a movie fan, you’ve almost certainly encountered his work.

In addition to directing the popular Rush Hour series and X-Men: The Last Stand, Ratner has produced more than 70 film and television titles as head of RatPac-Dune Productions, including The Revenant, Prison Break, and Horrible Bosses.

In other words, he’s nearly as successful as Harvey Weinstein–and it sadly, it seems the similarities between the two moguls don’t end there.

This morning, the LA Times published a scathing report in which six women–including prominent actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge–accuse Ratner of sexual misconduct ranging from harassment to rape.

Henstridge recounts an incident in the early 1990s, in which Ratner reportedly forced her to perform oral sex.

“He strong-armed me in a real way. He physically forced himself on me,” she said. “At some point, I gave in and he did his thing,” she tells the newspaper.

Munn recounts a number of appalling incidents involving Ratner, including one that she first revealed several years ago.

In her 2010 memoir, Munn recalled an incident in which Ratner masturbated in front of her on a film set.

He then falsely claimed to have had sex with Munn and told the actress that he’s ejaculated on magazine covers with her photo.

“I’ve made specific, conscientious choices not to work with Brett Ratner,” Munn tells the Times.

“It feels as if I keep going up against the same bully at school who just won’t quit,” she adds.

“You just hope that enough people believe the truth and for enough time to pass so that you can’t be connected to him anymore.”

Actress Asia Argento, who alleges she was raped by Harvey Weinstein has tweeted about the connections between Ratner and the founder of the Weinstein Company:

“Weinstein himself crowned you king of the pigs, @BrettRatner. Looking forward to hear your lame excuses/apologies for your hideous crimes,” she wrote this morning.

Marty Singer, an attorney for Ratner, penned a letter to the Times, in which he states that his client “categorically” disputes the allegations against him.

“I have represented Mr. Ratner for two decades, and no woman has ever made a claim against him for sexual misconduct or sexual harassment,” Singer writes.

“Furthermore, no woman has ever requested or received any financial settlement from my client.”

Ratner has not yet responded to the allegations personally.

We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.

James Toback: 38 Women Accuse Director of Sexual Misconduct

James Toback, an Academy Award-nominated director/writer, has been accused of sexual harassment by 38 different women.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Toback would approach his alleged victims in all sorts of different settings, typically offering up his resume early on in order to impress them.

“In a hotel room, a movie trailer, a public park, meetings framed as interviews or auditions quickly turned sexual,” writes the publication.

It went on to detail how Toback would brag about his Oscar nomination (for the Warren Beatty film Bugsy) and how he claimed to have “invented” Robert Downey Jr. by directing him in a trio of films.

These disturbing allegations come on the heels of producer Harvey Weinstein also being accused of sexual harassment, misconduct and assault.

Referring to Toback, The Los Angeles Times writes:

“He prowled the streets of Manhattan looking for attractive young women, usually in their early 20s, sometimes college students, on occasion a high schooler.

“He approached them in Central Park, standing in line at a bank or drug store or at a copy center while they worked on their resumes.”

Most of the woman who spoke to the newspaper went on the record with their encounters.

Take actress Adrienne LaValley, for example, who outlined a 2008 encounter in a hotel room:

“The way he presented it, it was like, ‘This is how things are done.”

She said Toback tried to rub his crotch against her leg and when she recoiled, he simply masturbated inside his pants.

“I felt like a prostitute, an utter disappointment to myself, my parents, my friends. And I deserved not to tell anyone,” she says now.

Adds Lousie Post, guitarist and singer for Veruca Salt:

“He told me he’d love nothing more than to masturbate while looking into my eyes.”

Altogether, the newspaper spoke to 38 women who leveled similar accusations against Toback; 31 of whom were willing to use their names.

In their retelling, the women said Toback boasted of sexual conquests with celebrities and then asked embarrassing personal questions of them, such as:

How often do you masturbate? How much pubic hair do you have?

He’d tell the woman that he couldn’t get a full erection unless he “jerked off” several times a day.

As described above, he would often then he’d dry-hump them or masturbate right in front of them, ejaculating into his pants or on to their bodies and then walk away.

Contacted by The Los Angeles Times for comment, Toback denied these allegations, saying that he had never met any of these women – or, if he did, it “was for five minutes and have no recollection.”

The director also alleged that it has been “biologically impossible” for him to engage the sort of behavior described here because he had diabetes and a heart condition that required medication.

Toback declined to include more details.

As for Weinstein, over 40 women have come forward against him with stories of inappropriate behavior, ranging from sexual harassment to rape.

Through a spokeswoman, Weinstein has “unequivocally denied” all allegations of rape.

But he’s admitted to other instances of crossing the line and said he will seek professional assistance.

Reese Witherspoon: I Was Sexually Assaulted By a Director at 16

If there is any silver lining at all to the horrifying reports of sexual assault by Harvey Weinstein over the course of decades, it is that the discussion and pressure might make it easier for more women — and men — to come forward with their own grim stories of sexual harassment and assault.

If you’ve been on Twitter or Facebook for the last few days, you’ve probably seen a solid chunk of your female acquaintances write “Me Too.” Many people, celebrities included, are speaking out — even if they’re not naming names.

Reese Witherspoon is revealing her own story, of when she was sexually assaulted by a director when she was just 16.

We’ve seen women from all walks of life post “Me Too,” whether as part of the hashtag on Twitter or in a simple post on Facebook.

These are women from rural areas and from major cities. Women young and old. Women with top-notch careers and women who were stay-at-home moms.

Not all shared more than “me too.”

While it may matter to them and the course of their lives whether their experiences are with sexual harassment or with sexual assault, the point of the “me too” posts was to show other women that they’re not alone and to show men that, yes, literally everyone knows women who have been through this.

Many, many women.

However, some women are telling their stories. Whether naming names or not, they’re talking about the sorts of gendered harassment and violence they’ve experienced during their lives.

Both close calls and times when they didn’t escape.

Now Reese Witherspoon is adding her voice to the chorus.

Last night, Reese Witherspoon gave a speech at the Elle Women in Hollywood event sponsored by Calvin Klein and L’Oréal Paris.

As reported by People, Reese spoke about her first sexual assault — and revealed that it was sadly not her last.

“This has been a really hard week for women in Hollywood, for women all over the world, and a lot of situations and a lot of industries are forced to remember and relive a lot of ugly truths.”

Remember, this discussion might be good for women in the long run, but for survivors, it also means reliving their trauma.

If you’ve never had a traumatic flashback, think of those times when you relive an awkward or humiliating moment that you had as a child. You cringe, right?

Now imagine that instead of an embarrassing moment that only you remember, it’s a vivid recollection of the worst moments of your life.

“I have my own experiences that have come back to me very vividly and I find it really hard to sleep, hard to think, hard to communicate a lot of the feelings that I’ve been having about anxiety, honest, the guilt for not speaking up earlier.”

Those sound like classic PTSD symptoms.

And Reese tells you exactly why:

“[I feel] true disgust at the director who assaulted me when I was 16 years old and anger at the agents and the producers who made me feel that silence was a condition of my employment.”

Horrible. The assault itself, and the cover-up that ensued.

“And I wish that I could tell you that was an isolated incident in my career, but sadly it wasn’t. I’ve had multiple experiences of harassment and sexual assault and I don’t speak about them very often.”

We’ve heard it said, by survivors, that they feared that they were more likely to be assaulted again. Because predators might realize that they were victims before, but also because their bodies freeze up as a defense mechanism.

Reese Witherspoon goes on to explain why she felt inspired to speak up.

“But after hearing all the stories these past few days and hearing these brave women speak up tonight about things that we’re kind of told to sweep under the rug and not to talk about, it’s made me want to speak up and speak up loudly because I actually felt less alone this week than I have ever felt in my entire career.”

That is inspiring but sad at the same time.

“I have just spoken to so many actresses and writers, particularly women, who have had similar experiences and many of them have bravely gone public with their stories. That truth is very encouraging to me and everyone out there in the world because you can only heal by telling the truth.”

Just as Evan Rachel Wood says, there is strength in numbers, and women know that.

“I feel really, really encouraged that there will be a new normal. For the young women in this room, life is going to be different because we’re with you, we have your back and it makes me feel better. It makes me so sad to talk about these issues, but I would be remiss not to.”

We absolutely hope that Reese Witherspoon’s optimism about a changing culture will be justified.

We’re not going to hold our breath for Harvey Weinstein to face justice. Sure he got fired from his own company, but that’s just business — not justice.

The Motion Picture Academy may have booted him out, but they still have Bill Cosby and Woody Allen in their ranks. Clearly, people in power aren’t going to make changes unless they’re forced to do so.

There are plenty of predators in Hollywood and elsewhere who are happy to condemn Weinstein … and are just waiting for the public attention to die down.

But every moment of even incremental change is a step towards a better world. Reese Witherspoon, sharing her story, is part of that.

Bella Thorne: Director Defends Her Talents from Twitter Troll!

No one really tries to deny that Bella Thorne is stunningly gorgeous.

Some people, however, have questioned her acting talents. They might assume that, even though she makes her living as an actress, Bella just gets jobs because she’s hot. Or maybe that she can only play certain, boobacious roles.

If you feel that way, be sure to not say it in front of the director of her current movie. He has zero chill.

There’s no denying that Bella Thorne got a serious attention boost after hanging with Scott Disick so much this summer.

Hey, one person’s self-destructive spiral is another person’s opportunity to rake in a little more with their Instagram promos, or whatever benefit Bella reaped from their … “association.”

But Bella Thorne is an actress with a number of film and television credits under her belt.

These days, she’s appearing in a film, The Life and Death of John F. Donovan, and she’s in some seriously good company.

We’re talking costars like Kit Harington, Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman, and Susan Sarandon.

(Think what you may about Susan Sarandon after her political comments during 2016, but she’s still a seriously big name in the acting world)

One hater’s tweet about Bella Thorne caught the attention of the film’s director.

And then it caught his ire.

Xavier Dolan is directing The Life and Death of John F. Donovan, but he’s also an actor.

(In fact, his Instagram bio describes him as an “Actor, director, Slytherin.” He’s a likable fellow)

If you’re not familiar with Twitter, most of the time, interactions between stars and fans is pretty amicable.

Some people tweet graphically inappropriate things at stars, perhaps not realizing that the star might really see it.

(Or maybe they do — relative anonymity seems to open the door for harassment of all sorts)

One Twitter user, @magnusdamora, tweeted some very presumptious instructions to the Xavior Dolan.

“Uncast bella thorne in the death and life of john f. donovan right f–king now.”

As a general rule, we’ve never heard of directors who enjoy being told what to do with their art by random strangers on the internet.

Xavier Dolan saw this tweet, and made that abundantly clear with his reply:

“Make your own films, and leave me the f–k alone.”

It’s always good to see a director willing to stand up for the talent of the people they’ve hired instead of throw an actress under the proverbial bus just to preserve his own cred.

Mind you, Xavier didn’t directly defend Bella Thorne’s talents.

But the Twitter troll didn’t directly attack her talents, either.

We think that Xavier’s response was proportional, right?

By the way, anyone questioning Bella Thorne’s acting talents should think again.

Even setting aside the fact that being hot doesn’t get you automatically cast in things …

(Or Kendall Jenner would star in every other movie)

… Just think of what Bella was doing over the summer.

It looks like she was deliberately appearing beside Scott Disick, again and again, as a ploy to get a little more general exposure.

(Again, our guess is that she got some better social media promo deals out of the extra attention)

Do you really think that Bella Thorne was all that enamored with a 34-year-old alcoholic whose life is falling apart before his very eyes?

Scott Disick is a handsome man, but Bella’s dated first-rate hotties like Tyler Posey. The dude has starred for year on a show where every guy has to look hot shirtless.

We’d say that Bella was employing some real-world acting over the summer to seize an opportunity.

So let’s not question her acting chops.

Taylor Swift: Defended by "Look What You Made Me Do" Director!

Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” music video is crushing records left and right, but it’s also stirred up more than its share of controversy.

Despite the song’s indisputable popularity, some people have taken aim at the singer herself over the video. Among other, less repeatable things, Taylor has been called “manipulative.”

The video’s director is responding to those criticisms, and he’s pointing out something that we, at least, hadn’t considered. …

First and foremost, let’s be clear about why some people don’t like “Look What You Made Me Do.”

It’s because, for the most part, those people don’t like Taylor Swift.

Part of that is overexposure. Taylor was absolutely everywhere from late 2014 until Spring of 2016.

The saying “familiarity breeds contempt” is truer for no one than it is for celebrities. Especially female celebrities.

(Just look at how young Americans viewed Hillary Clinton during the “Texts From Hillary” meme era, and compare that to how some of them had turned on her by 2016 — though, to be fair, Hillary had a lot more going after her than some Kim Kardashian Snapchats and some angry tweets by Calvin Harris)

But, of course, Taylor got hit with some social suckerpunches — from Calvin Harris, tweeting in a way meant to “expose” her.

For some reason, people who should have known better took an embittered ex, one who now regrets those tweets, at his word.

And then Kim Kardashian shared some shadily recorded and conspicuously edited Snapchat videos of a phone call between Taylor and Kanye, that made it appear that Taylor hadn’t told the whole truth.

Countless fake fans turned on her, calling her a “snake.” Taylor retreated from the spotlight until very, very recently.

She even experienced fallout with members of her squad, some of whom had divided loyalties.

The “Look What You Made Me Do” music video is filled with symbolic commentary.

Joseph Kahn directed the absolutely stunning “Look What You Made Me Do” music video.

He also ran the show on “Blank Space,” “Bad Blood,” and “Wildest Dreams.”

We’d point out that, on top of being a frequent collaborator of Taylor’s and clearly knowing what he was doing, he was a perfect choice for “Look What You Made Me Do.”

This song is, conceptually, a combination of “Blank Space” (commentary on Taylor’s perception in the media) and “Bad Blood” (Taylor laying out her feuds and reveling in the support of her squad).

Kahn is aware of how polarizing Taylor’s song is and of the criticisms and insults that have been lobbed at Taylor Swift herself.

And he’s not having it.

Yesterday, Joseph Kahn took to Twitter to point out the sexist lens through which people view the singer:

“If I plan something as a man I’m a ‘genius.’ If Taylor as a woman plans something she is ‘manipulative.’ Double standards. This is wrong.”

People want to see Taylor Swift as some sort of villain.

And maybe she is — but, if so, she’s one of those intriguing Disney villains that you rooted for as a child because they were both more interesting and relatable than the protagonists.

There could definitely be a powerful element of sexism to this.

(In fact, we’d be surprised if there isn’t — dating back to how people leapt to Calvin Harris’ defense after the two fo them broke up)

There’s more to it, though. Some people think that, by standing up for herself and coming back for revenge (through artistic expression), Taylor is doing the wrong thing.

Fortunately, Taylor Swift — by releasing such polarizing material that will be talked about no matter what — has played the system in such a way that she wins whether people love her or hate her.

Gotta love a woman with a Xanatos Complex like that.

Tobe Hooper Dies: Legendary Horror Film Director Was 74

Sad news for horror fans today …

Tobe Hooper has passed away. He was 74 years old.

The coroner for Los Angeles County has reported that he died yesterday in Sherman Oaks.

As of now, the cause of death has not been revealed.

If you are a horror fan, you definitely know of all of his many, many contributions to the genre.

But for those unaware, Hooper was responsible for bringing us two of the best, most influential scary movies of them all: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Poltergeist.

In addition to directing 1974’s Texas Chain Saw Massacre, he also wrote the screenplay and created the soundtrack.

Which means that he is, in fact, solely responsible for delivering that entire terrifying tale — and the franchise that followed.

Interestingly enough, Hooper taught at a college before making the film, and he made documentaries on the side.

He was out doing some holiday shopping in the early 70s, and he came across a rack of chainsaws for sale. He thought about how much he wanted to leave the store, and how starting up a chainsaw would definitely part the crowd.

But instead of firing up a chainsaw in a busy department store, he later pulled together a group of his students and other teachers at the college.

And that’s how the movie was created. Seriously.

Though there wasn’t much blood at all in the film, Hooper had to fight repeatedly to get it down to a R rating, and it was still banned in several countries.

Because, as he so impressively proved, you don’t need gore to completely and thoroughly horrify viewers.

Twelve years after introducing the world to those wild Texan cannibals, Hooper directed the sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

This movie was very, very different from the first, but still just an absolute gem, proving Hooper’s incredible skill.

Which honestly, at that point, didn’t really need proving: eight years after the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre and four years before the sequel, he directed Poltergeist.

Which is, of course, also one of the greatest horror movies of all time.

He’s directed many other things as well, including a miniseries based on Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot and even a Billy Idol music video.

(“Dancing with Myself,” if you were curious.)

Hooper is widely regarded to be one of the most influential people when it comes to horror films, and for good reason.

And several members of the community are taking the time to pay tribute to him.

James Wan, director of Saw and The Conjuring, tweeted “Sad to hear the passing of Tobe Hooper. One of the nicest people. A sweet, gentle soul of a man. Your legacy lives on.”

Fellow legend John Carpenter wrote “Tobe Hooper directed THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, a seminal work in horror cinema. He was a kind, decent man and my friend. A sad day.”

William Friedkin, director of The Exorcist, said “Tobe Hooper, a kind, warm-hearted man who made the most terrifying film ever. A good friend I will never forget.”

RIP, Tobe.

Taylor Swift Video Director: Enough with the Beyonce Comparisons!

We’re guessing this hasn’t exactly been the return Taylor Swift envisioned.

First, the singer was criticized for a drawn out tease of her new album, taking three days on Instagram to share various snake-themed videos that got kind of old and obvious right away.

Then, Swift released “Look at What You Made Me Do,” her first single in years.

And people HATED it.

Then, Swift teased the music video that will debut during tonight’s MTV VMAS…

… and a certain segment of the population really let her have it.

Based on Swift’s all-black outfit and the alignment of her backup dances, Taylor is accused of copying Beyonce.

Members of the passionate Beyhive think Swift stole her look and portions of the music video from Beyonce’s “Formation” performance at the Super Bowl and from her video for the track “Lemonade.”

“Lemonade and Minute Maid,” one Internet user wrote rather harshly, while others offered critiques such as the following:

swift haters

On Friday night, however, Joseph Kahn came to Swift’s defense.

The Grammy-winning director behind Swift’s “Bad Blood” video, as well as Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” and “Jumpin Jumpin,” Tweeted his reaction to fan speculation that Tay was making like Bey.

“I’ve worked with Beyoncé a few times,” Kahn wrote. “She’s an amazing person. The #LWYMMDvideo is not in her art space. Love and respect to Bey.”

Interesting take and perspective, right?

The shot of Swift and her male dancers all lined up in an elegant ballroom is the one that has Beyonce fans must upset.

“Beyonce played on being a plantation owner in Formation & now that Taylor Swift is ripping from it she’s trying to be one too,” wrote one critic on social media.

And others have been ripping Swift for the way she launched her comeback, for the single itself and then for the video.

“The song is a poor man’s Britney, the video’s gonna be a poor man’s Beyonce,” explained another hater. “Taylor Swift wants to be anyone but Taylor Swift.”

Ouch.

We’ll get a chance to view the entire video on Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards.

It’s probably best to withhold judgment until then.

“There’s something to that ‘Formation’ shot I painted out and you haven’t seen yet,” Kahn added on Twitter, teasing the video’s upcoming premiere and writing:

“Stay tuned Sunday #LWYMMDvideo #SneakyAsian.”

We’ll be doing that for sure.

Will you?!?

Anthony Scaramucci: Fired as White House Communications Director! Already!

President Donald J. Trump has decided to remove the embattled Anthony Scaramucci as communications director for his administration.

The non-failing New York Times reported the news, which follows the Mooch’s tumultuous 10-day tenure, moments ago.

Three people close to the decision said Scaramucci is out following what has been the most insane week of the Trump White House to date.

Which, as you know regardless of which side of the political spectrum you find yourself on these days, is saying a hell of a lot.

Scaramucci recently took over the position having apparently been denied a post in the Trump administration earlier this year.

That was one point of contention in a crude, verbal tirade he unleashed against the White House staff … in the New Yorker.

Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, resigned immediately after he too the job, rather than take orders from Scaramucci.

Reince Priebus, Trump’s first chief of staff and a “paranoid, c–k blocking schizophrenic” (Anthony’s words) is also out the door.

Preibus and senior adviser Steve Bannon, who Scaramucci says wants to suck his own c–k, shared power in the White House since January.

Despite their different backgrounds and management styles, they actually coexisted better than most people in the Trump administration.

If Scaramucci had anything to say about it, they would both be out on the street, though it appears Trump has fired Anthony instead.

Scaramucci had boasted about reporting directly to the President and not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, who just replaced Priebus.

Perhaps it’s not surprising that the decision to boot Scaramucci reportedly came at Kelly’s request, the sources close to the situation said.

Kelly made clear to the few remaining members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he’s in charge from now on.

It was not clear whether Scaramucci will remain employed at the White House in another position or will leave altogether.

We would have to assume the latter.

Even by Trump supporter standards, his off-color comments and overall ridiculousness raised red flags, which again is saying something.

He demonstrated an absoluitely astounding lack of media savvy for someone serving as the liaison between the press and the POTUS.

It’s hard to see where you go after telling the New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza, “I fired one guy the other day. I have 3-4 people I’ll fire tomorrow.”

“I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus … if you want to leak something … he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.”

Clearly gunning for the title of Most Batsh-t Member of the Trump Staff, he made sure he got it after launching into an impression of Priebus:

“Let me leak the f–king thing and see if I can c–kblock these people the way I c–kblocked Scaramucci for six months.”

He then turned his sights to Bannon, complaining that the former Breitbart News CEO and Trump campaign chair is only in this for himself.

“I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c–l,” Scaramucci said, ridiculing the shadowy alt-right Trump confidant.

“I’m not trying to build my own brand off the f–king strength of the president,” he said. “I’m here to serve the country.”

Scaramucci had a good run.
