Jessa Duggar Opens Up About Home Birth: My Mom Almost Missed It!
Last week, Jessa Duggar welcomed her second child.
As with her first pregnancy, Jessa made the decision early on to deliver the child at home.
Unlike when she welcomed little Spurgeon into the world, however, this time the whole thing went off without a hitch.
In fact, in a new interview with People, Jessa says she was downright shocked by how quick and easy the delivery was.
Telling the magazine that she was “surprised how fast it went,” Jessa says the whole thing was so brief her sister Jill and mother, Michelle Duggar, very nearly missed it.
“They came at the very end,” says Jessa. “I was already pushing when they walked in the door.”
Part of the reason for their tardiness, of course, may have been the fact that little Henry Wilberforce decided to begin his life in the wee hours of the morning.
Henry was born at 4:26 am, and as they didn’t have much lead time to get to the Seewald’s home, Jill and Michelle were apparently only present for the very end of Jessa’s labor.
Jessa says it was a special treat to have her older sister on hand, as the 25-year-old frequently travels abroad to perform missionary work.
“We were really thankful that she was able to be here,” Jessa says of Jill
“It was so fun to have her here to meet Henry.”
As with her first child, Jessa waited until after Henry after the delivery to choose a name.
She says that it was important to her to get to know the boy first, so that she could select a moniker befitting of his temperament.
Jessa and Ben revealed the name yesterday after days of speculation from fans.
As with Spurgeon (and as many fans guessed), the couple once again drew their inspiration from famous theologians of the past.
“We just thought it was cute, but also there was another great man of God named Matthew Henry who lived before Wilberforce,” Ben said in a recent interview.
Hey, these kids will likely grow up with double-digit siblings and a few dozen cousins.
Anything that can help them feel like individuals – such as a unique name – can’t be a bad thing.
And no matter what happens, Henry can go through life content with the knowledge that he dodged the “Spurgeon” bullet.

Matt Damon Almost Cried When George Clooney Revealed Baby News
Now that we’ve had a day to let the news soak in that George and Amal Clooney are expecting twins, the celebrities are in full force with their reactions to the baby news.
Clooney’s long-time friend, Matt Damon actually found out about the pregnancy long before it hit the media and he almost cried tears of joy.
“I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him,” the star told Entertainment Tonight Canada.
“And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks.’”
However, Damon was quick to confirm to Clooney that he was a superstitious person.
“‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t.”
He continued, “‘Just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘We’re good right?’” Clooney answered, “We’re good.”
Clooney revealing the news to Matt so quickly showed just how happy he was to be welcoming twins into the world.
Despite Matt worrying about superstition, he was quick to point out that he was super happy for his friend.
“So yeah, I’m thrilled for him. She’s amazing. He hit the jackpot. Just on every level. She is a remarkable woman.”
“They’re gonna be great. They’re gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky,” he added.
George and Amal tied the knot in September 2014 in Venice, Italy.
The couple already had a dog together and are said to be ecstatic about the news of them welcoming twins into the world.
It sure sounds like they are happy with each other and have a lot of support as they go through this exciting time in their lives.

Kanye West Makes Up with Jay Z and Beyonce -- Well, Almost
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, like most living things, didn’t have a great time last year.
Kim had what she felt was a near-death experience when she was robbed in Paris, and Kanye had that nervous breakdown.
He was hospitalized for over a week while doctors straightened out his meds and got him stabilized, but when he got back out, he had a meeting with Donald Trump, so …
But before Kanye had his breakdown, he was acting mighty strangely.
He first announced his allegiance to Trump, and then, in a shocking turn of events, he slammed his former bestie, Jay Z, in some seriously bizarre rants during his Saint Pablo tour.
He even had the gall to go after the closest thing America has to a queen: Beyonce.
About Jay Z, he expressed some disappointment because he thought that Jay had chosen the politics of the music business over the creativity and art of it.
But he also got personal, crying out “I can’t take this sh-t, bro!”
He said that his kids have never even played with Blue Ivy, and that Jay never checked up on him after Kim’s robbery.
“Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘How you feeling?"” he said. “You wanna know how I’m feeling?”
“Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house like we brothers.”
As for Beyonce, he was upset with her because he’d heard that she’d told MTV that she wouldn’t perform at the VMAs unless she won the Video of the Year award, an award that he was also nominated for.
“Now, don’t go trying to diss Beyonce,” he said. “She is great.”
“… But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are just to win.”
He then took the opportunity to bring Jay Z back into things, because, wouldn’t you know it, Jay never called him after the last rant.
“Jay Z, call me, bruh,” he begged. “You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, call me.”
In a turn for the bizarre, he even said “Jay Z, I know you got killers, please don’t send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man.”
That last rant happened in November, just a couple of days before he was hospitalized.
And surprisingly enough, it looks like in the time since, Jay Z finally reached out to him.
Kanye and Kim were spotted arriving at Blue Ivy’s fifth birthday party yesterday at the Carter residence — so that’s a good sign, right?
Oddly enough, though it was a child’s birthday party, they didn’t bring their own children.
There’s a good chance that Kim doesn’t feel comfortable enough going on public outings like this with her kids, but there’s also a good chance that things between Kimye and Jay and Bey aren’t completely back to good yet.
What a world, right?

Jennifer Lawrence: My Ass Almost Killed a Man!
How precious is Jennifer Lawrence?
That"s actually a trick question, because there"s no real way to calculate just how precious she is.
If we tried, our feeble human brains would likely explode and drip from our ears in a tragic, graphic example of what can happen if you fly too close to the sun.
Yes, J-Law is the sun. Bright, beautiful, life-sustaining, and so, so hot.
But, much like the sun, she could be capable of so much destruction.
And, as she tells in this absolutely delightful new interview on The Graham Norton Show, she almost destroyed one person"s life while filming a movie.
Literally. She almost killed someone.
Jennifer, who was on the show with Chris Pratt to promote their new movie, Passengers, says that while she was in Hawaii filming the second Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire, she had to wear a wetsuit for long periods of time.
The poor girl got an uncontrollable ass itch — it happens to the best of us — but she couldn"t really get in there to scratch it because of the suit.
But our dear J-Law is a problem solver, so she saw some rough old boulders, just sitting there, waiting to assist her.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom: Divorced! ... Almost
Bad news, friends.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have officially ended their marriage.
No, for real this time.
We know, we know, we all had hopes of these two crazy kids magically figuring out all their issues and making things work, but alas, it simply wasn’t meant to be.
Obviously.
Khloe and Lamar have both signed off on their divorce, TMZ reveals.
They’ve signed all the papers, taken all the necessary steps, and now all that’s standing between Khlomar and No-mar is a judge’s signature.
It seems that, following the legal timeline, the divorce will be officially official sometime in December.
Man, what a bummer — an entirely expected bummer, but still.
This is the second time that Khloe’s attempted to divorce Lamar, sadly enough. She originally filed three years ago after several months of enduring Lamar’s bad behavior.
It was then, in 2013, that rumors about Lamar’s escalating drug use began, but when a video was released that showed him bragging about cheating on Khloe, that was the last straw.
For two years, the divorce was in a weird sort of limbo, with Lamar refusing to cooperate and Khloe trying to make things work.
But then, in October of last year, Lamar nearly died after an overdose. And everything changed.
Khloe rushed to Lamar’s side, and for a while she never really left. She called off the divorce so that she could be in charge of his medical care while he was unable to take charge himself.
And, for a little bit there, it seemed like there was a chance the marriage could actually work out.
Khloe and her family were spending so much time with Lamar, and he even went with them to New York to see one of Kanye’s fashion shows.
It was all very heartwarming, but unfortunately, it wasn’t very realistic.
After several months of assumed sobriety after his ordeal, Lamar was spotted drinking back in March.
Then rumors began circulating that he was starting to do drugs again, reports emerged that he was getting back to his old, dangerous ways.
Khloe filed for divorce for the second time in May, and since then, she’s been distancing herself from him.
And now, by the end of the year, they’ll be officially and completely done with each other.
Like we said: what a bummer.

Jill Duggar: Derick Dillard Almost DIED in El Salvador!
Last week, fans became concerned about photos of Derick Dillard that were posted online by his wife, Jill Duggar.
The images showed Derick looking gaunt and generally unwell.
Coming, as they did, on the heels of rumors that the father of one had been experiencing health problems, the photos sparked rumors amongst fans that Derick had contracted an illness during his time abroad.
The Dillards have spent most of the past year performing missionary work in El Salvador.
During that time, the Zika outbreak and a handful of troubling images left fans concerned for the welfare of the young family.
Rumors about Derick Dillard’s health began to circulate several months ago, as the missionary veteran appeared to have lost 20-30 pounds in a span of just a few weeks.
Over the weekend, Jill acknowledged that Derick nearly lost his life during the couple’s time in Central America.
However, the danger didn’t come in the form of a virus, as so many fans expected.
In her personal blog, Jill offered a harrowing account of a recent incident in which Derick was nearly struck by lightning.
She says a bolt hit the ground not far from where he was talking with a friend on his way back home:
“A minute or so later while they were still talking a little ways from the house, a bolt of lightning hit the tree next to our house! The blast startled everyone around (Israel and I were in the house) and knocked our friend, who Derick was talking with, off his feet!
“We were talking later with some of our friends and realized that had this friend not stopped Derick to talk with him, Derick could’ve been walking through water as he headed to our house and could’ve been electrocuted by the lightening [sic] through the water on the ground.”
Many fans have expressed their relief that the “near-death” experience Jill referred to was not related to a serious illness.
The family will reportedly be returning to the States in the coming weeks.
Only time will tell if Derick will continue joking about the Zika virus.

Gwen Stefani: Gavin Rossdale Almost Ruined My Life, But Look At Me Now!
Prior to her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani didn’t talk much about her personal life.
Things have changed for the Orange County native, who has gone (very) public with boyfriend, Blake Shelton.
Stefani covers the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and since high fashion is her version of lounge wear, it was no surprise to see page after page of the singer posing in gorgeous threads at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Stefani said she’s an open book, for the most part. There are some things she needs to keep private because of her children, she explained.
Stefani has three sons with Rossdale – Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7 and Apollo, 2.
“As a famous person, you start to think,’I can’t say all that because I’ll embarrass them or hurt them in some way.’ And especially now because they can see everything and hear everything.
“But I’ve done nothing I’m ashamed of …” she said with a laugh.
“Well, we all have a few things we’re ashamed of.”
Stefani reflected back on her life up until now, which was filled with music, boyfriends and then her husband, whom she married in 2002.
Her youngest son was “only 11 months old when everything happened,” Stefani explained, referring to an alleged affair between Rossdale and the couple’s nanny, Mindy Mann in February 2015.
“Everybody knows what happened next,” Stefani said.
“February 9,” she recalls. “I obviously know the date.
“It was the beginning of hell. Like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret.”
Though Stefani admitted she wanted to “tell everybody” what happened, she had to hold back so that her boys wouldn’t be embarrassed.
Stefani got back to work. She joined, started to write songs for her album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, and embarked on her romance with Shelton.
“What happened was praying,” Stefani said of coming back from what felt like the end of her world.
“That’s my childhood, that’s how I was raised. And I think I strayed from that. But you know when it gets that bad, you just get desperate? You’re on your knees. You’re like, ‘What do I do?’ You can’t even go to your parents and ask them what to do.”
The toughest part for Stefani is sharing custody with Rossdale. Only spending half of her time with the boys is still hard on her.
“All I wanted my whole life was to have babies, be married, like what my parents have. Then I remember thinking,’There’s gotta be a reason for this.’ Of course you go through the ‘Why me?’ and feel sorry for yourself.
“But then I was like, ‘No, this happened to me already and I made something good out of it,’ and that was Tragic Kingdom.”
We have a feeling good things are still to come.
