Shia LaBeouf Apologizes for Being a Huge Racist

Last Saturday morning in Georgia, Shia LaBeouf was arrested for public drunkenness.

This was not shocking, not even when we learned the actor lost his $ hit simply because a stranger refused to give him a cigarette.

However, how LaBeouf acted after he was approached by the police and taken into custody was unexpected, reprehensible and downright embarrassing…

… even for the very low bar set by Shia LaBeouf over the past several months.

First, in the arrest video below, LaBeouf grows more and more irate at arresting officers, shouting complete nonsense at the cops as they attempt to calm the troubled star down.

“I have rights! I’m an American,” he screams at one point, adding of his situation and the handcuffs on his wrists:

“You got me in my hotel, arresting me in my hotel for doing what, sir? … I’m a f-cking American, I pay my taxes, get these sh-ts off my f-cking arm.”

Later, the 31-year old brags about his wealth (I got more millionaire lawyers than you know what to do with, you stupid bitch!) … flaunts a lack of logic (Why would I ask for cigarettes if I was racist?) … and condescends to the African-American officer taking him in:

You’ve got a president who doesn’t give a f-ck about you, you’re on a police force that doesn’t give a f–k about you, and you wanna do what? Arrest white people?

It’s rather appalling, as you can see here:

But it actually got worse once LaBeouf made it to the police station.

In two new videos shared on Wednesday by TMZ, the star hurls racial insults and acts like a bigger, more biased and privlieged douchebag than we previously thought was possible.

First, in the following piece of footage, LaBeouf tells a black officer that he’s going to “Hell” and that he acted like a “savage,” accusing him of only arresting LaBeouf because of their difference in skin colors:

Second, in the video below, LaBeouf rants and raves against a white police officer.

He tells him that he must be ashamed because his wife prefers “black dick.”

See and listen for yourself:

Following the release of these videos, LaBeouf released a statement in which he took responsibility for his awful words and actions, while making it sound as if he recognizes he needs help.

A whole lot of help.

“I am deeply ashamed of my behavior and make no excuses for it. The severity of my behavior is not lost on me,” LaBeouf says, adding:

“My outright disrespect for authority is problematic to say the least, and completely destructive to say the worst.

“It is a new low. A low I hope is a bottom.”

He also expresses gratitude for the “restraint” showed by the cops in light of his outbursts and concludes as follows:

“I have been struggling with addiction publicly for far too long, and I am actively taking steps toward securing my sobriety and hope I can be forgiven for my mistakes.”

LaBeouf has a long way to go.

But anything is possible if he takes the proper steps.

Johnny Depp Apologizes for Donald Trump Death Threat

Johnny Depp owes many people an apology:

Amber Heard. His accountant. Anyone who has purchased a ticket to any of his movies in the last five years.

But there’s one person to whom Depp has finally been forced to issue a mea culpa, following quite a you-know-what storm created by the actor on Thursday night after he did THIS:

Yes, that’s a video of Johnny Depp threatening the life of Donald Trump.

Appearing at the Glastonbury Film Festival yesterday, Depp told the crowd that the “press” would likely get a hold of what he was about to say, but… screw it!

He was gonna go ahead and say it anyway.

When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? Depp stupidly asked.

The distasteful, borderline illegal remark prompted Depp to be roasted over the Twitter coals (below), while it also elicited a reaction from the White House.

“President Trump has condemned violence in all forms and it’s sad that others like Johnny Depp have not followed his lead,” the Trump administration said in a statement this afternoon, adding:

“I hope that some of Mr. Depp’s colleagues will speak out against this type of rhetoric as strongly as they would if his comments were directed to a democrat elected official.”

It’s hard to disagree with any point made here.

Johnny Depp tweets

With the backlash mounting, Depp came out on Friday and said he was sorry.

“I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump,” the actor told People. “It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice.

“I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone.”

It was pretty clear that Depp regretted the remark as soon as he uttered it.

“I want to clarify, I’m not an actor. I lie for a living,” Depp said in an attempt to backtrack, just moments after making his quasi threat last night.

But new information has surfaced that makes it clear Depp can’t really be all that sorry.

It also makes it clear that Depp may have disdain for Trump, but he’s also had disdain for the office of the President for a very long time now.

TMZ has unearthed photos that depict Depp standing in front of the White House and raising his middle finger.

There’s also a photo of him picking his nose in the press room, along with tales of how disrespectful he acted in general during a trip to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in January of 1988.

On hand for a ceremony for the fight against AIDS hosted by President and Nancy Reagan, the then-21 Jump Street star flipped off cameras and made rude gestures during a private White House tour.

He reportedly angered the Secret Service when he lit up a cigarette in the Rose Garden at one point and then dared to do so again in the Blue Room.

When the time for him to stand in receiving line and meet the President came, agents told Depp he could not participate because he had shown disrespect.

We somehow doubt he cared at the time, however.

It’s therefore official we guess:

Pirates of the Caribbean Season 5 was only the second worst thing Johnny Depp has ever done.

What a schmuck.

Leah Block Apologizes For Racist Bachelorette Tweets After Perfect Rachel Lindsay Response

You don’t need The Bachelorette spoilers to tell you that race would somehow come into play this summer on ABC’s reality dating staple.

On cue, The Bachelor contestant Leah Block is apologizing for racist comments she made about the current season this week.

If you didn’t see what she wrote on Twitter, prepare your forehead for the inevitable slap, because it’s very likely happening.

The current season features the franchise’s first African-American lead in Rachel Lindsay, and a much more diverse cast than usual.

With that obvious context, Block tweeted Monday:

“I’m sitting here watching @BacheloretteABC and my roommate just sat down on the couch and said, ‘What is this? @LoveAndHipHop?’ DEAD”

DEAD?

Bachelor Nation didn’t take kindly to the reference – apparently in the pejorative – to the VH1 reality show and its entirely black cast.

One alum, Astrid Loch, asked Block if she was watching with Lee Garrett, one of Lindsay’s suitors who’s been accused of racism himself.

Lindsay then chimed in by responding to Block’s tweet directly, and referencing Garrett, writing, “Let me know if she wants to meet Lee.”

“They sound like they would have a lot in common.”

Wow. After that response from Rachel, Block later deactivated her Twitter account altogether and set her Instagram to private.

All of this took place while topic of race became the center of discussion on Monday’s episode for the first time this season.

“The pressures that I feel being a black woman, and what that is … I don’t want to talk about it,” Lindsay told the producers.

“I get pressured from so many different ways being in this position, and I did not want to get into all of this tonight.”

“I already know what people are going to say about me and that they will judge me for all of the decisions I’m making.”

“I’m going to be the one that has to deal with that – nobody else,” she said, at her wit’s end. “And that’s a lot.”

As for Block, she apparently got the message, and addressed her controversial tweets in a letter to her Facebook Wednesday.

“I come forward honestly and openly, to extend my sincere apology for the tweet from my account on Monday, June 19,” she began.

The tweet in question stemmed, she said, “from a place that humored the failure of representation of minorities in reality TV.”

That wasn’t how it came across, she acknowledges, and instead, she simply “belittled the significance of Rachel’s presence on the show.”

“I acknowledge that entertaining this kind of humor is a passive and careless action that stifles the progress the black community has made.”

“It is vitally important to prioritize these experiences and help destroy the oppressive forces that threaten minority communities.”

“My tweet did neither of those things and I see that as a personal failure [and] in my initial Twitter responses … I was defensive.”

“The attacks directed at me felt to be responses to the epidemic of injustice we have towards individuals of marginalized identities.”

“Especially the black community. I accept responsibility for my ignorance and as I move forward I will engage in these issues.”

That way, she says, “I can become an informed ally who would never consider that tweet to be funny in the first place.”

“Our Society should have no place for hate that targets any minority group,” she concluded on an optimistic, yet concilliatory note.

“We can’t make the future better until we make ourselves better. And I’m starting now. Best of luck to Rachel and her suitors this season.”

Amen to that.

Brad Pitt FINALLY Apologizes Jennifer Aniston!

Brad Pitt is not an alcoholic.

The actor has not come out and labeled himself as such, although he has opened up in recent interviews like never before about his drinking.

In an interview with GQ Style, for example, Pitt admitted that not a day had gone by since college that he hadn’t drank or smoked… until he got his life a bit cleaned up several months ago.

This change in direction took place shortly after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce.

So anyway. There is a point to this introduction, we swear.

Pitt may not have gone as far as to call himself an alcoholic, but a new report claims the actor is still taking one of the twelve steps recommended for recovery.

He’s making amends.

Specifically, he’s making amends with a certain ex-wife with whom a number of people on the Internet still want him to end up.

Her name is Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt and Aniston split way back in 2005 amidst rumors that he cheated on the gorgeous actress with Jolie.

Those rumors were never confirmed; even to this day, even with all the coverage surrounding this divorce, no one is quite certain just what happened between the stars.

Did Jolie and Pitt have an actual affair? An emotional affair?

Either way, Aniston was dumped as a result.

And, as he reassesses every aspect of his life, Pitt supposedly reached out to Aniston at some recent point in the past to issue a mea culpa.

“Brad apologized for all the heartbreak,” an insider tells In Touch Weekly, adding:

“He doesn’t usually open up like that, but through therapy and recovery, he’s learned to express his feelings. He addressed all the hurt he caused her.”

We can’t verify whether this conversation between exes actually transpired or not.

But it is true that Pitt has been more open than ever of late.

“We’re human and I find the human condition very interesting,” he told the Associated Press last month, acknowledging he has no secrets and adding:

“If we’re not talking about it, then we’re not getting better.”

When news of Brangelina’s divorce broke in September, an endless array of people immediately thought of Aniston. Just because.

Just because she’ll always be associated with Pitt, despite being married to Justin Theroux and very clearly having moved on ages ago.

“I don’t think Jen cares about what’s going on and it’s crazy that people think she does,” close friend Chelsea Handler said at the time.

“[It’s not] as if she’s sitting around caring about [Angelina]. I know I don’t.”

This is not how the In Touch Weekly insider sees it, however.

This anonymous individual alleges that Aniston was thrilled to hear from Pitt after all this time.

“She was really won over by his apology,” the tabloid writes, concluding:

“A new era has begun for them. She was incredibly receptive to the amends he was making. She told him she forgives him and to focus on the future.”

Sigh. Sure, whatever.

Let a new round of Brad Pitt-Jennifer Aniston speculation begin.

Bill Maher Apologizes for Racial Slur; Should He Be Fired?

Bill Maher has a few words to say about his use of a racial epithet last week.

But will HBO have the final say when it comes to this comedian’s future with the company?

On Friday’s edition of Real Time, Maher was conducting an interview with Nebraska Senator Bill Sasse when the politician invited the talk show host to visit Nebraska at some point in the future.

“We’d love to have you work in the fields with us,” Sasse said to Maher, a comment that prompted the following response from Maher:

“Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house n-gger.”

Many members of the crowd immediately groaned and expressed their discomfort with the remark, which led Maher to basically tell everyone to calm down because it was merely a “joke.”

But Twitter users and many celebrities joined in the chorus of those who believed the word usage was way out of line.

Not long after the episode aired, HBO released a statement that condemned the comedian’s quip.

“Bill Maher’s comment last night was completely inexcusable and tasteless,” said the network, adding:

We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show.”

Sasse then Tweeted his take on the exchange, which included regret that he didn’t bring up the epithet as soon as it left Maher’s mouth.

“Am walking off a redeye from LAX. 3 reflections on @billmaher,” wrote the Republican senator, expounding as follows:

“I’m a 1st Amendment absolutist. Comedians get latitude to cross hard lines. But free speech comes with a responsibility to speak up when folks use that word. Me just cringing last night wasn’t good enough…

“Here’s what I wish I’d been quick enough to say in the moment:

‘Hold up, why would you think it’s OK to use that word? The history of the n-word is an attack on universal human dignity. It’s therefore an attack on the American Creed.

“Don’t use it.”

Now, with the backlash continuing to spread around the Internet, Maher has come out and issued an apology.

“Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show,” he said on Saturday.

“Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment.

“The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.”

Maher may very well be sorry, but this isn’t the first time he’s perhaps taken a so-called joke too far.

Just a few weeks ago, Maher cracked wise about Ivanka Trump, making an incest reference to her and her famous father.

And remember the time he compared Zayn Malik to a terrorist? Ouch.

“There are no exceptions that make this acceptable,” Reverend Al Sharpton said on Sunday of Maher’s N-Word dropping, making it clear that this isn’t a partisan issue.

“He doesn’t get a pass because we’re friends. What Bill Maher did was normalize a word that is anything but normal.”

Podcast host and activist DeRay McKesson, along with Chance the Rapper, are among those who have called for Maher to be fired by HBO.

Do you think this is warranted?

VOTE below and express your opinion: Should Bill Maher lose his job over this distasteful joke?
