Last June, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck jointly announced their plans to divorce, with the insistence that the split was amicable.
But more than a year later, neither have filed divorce papers, and all public signs indicate they’re still acting like a married couple.
They still live in the same house. They recently vacationed together in Italy.
Ben even reportedly gave Jen an 11-carat diamond ring to represent the 11 years they’ve spent together as a couple.
There’s been chatter of a reconciliation, and a source close to Jen suggests that the notion may soon morph from rumor to truth.
“They’re still figuring things out,” Jen’s friend tells People.
“Ben still doesn’t want the divorce and he might actually get his way.”
In fact, the insider reports that Jen may be softening when it comes to the idea of rekindling their romance and ditching the divorce plans.
“She had the best time in Europe with Ben and the kids,” the friend added.
“She seemed much happier when she returned to L.A.
“Jen went from being very adamant that a divorce would happen to instead avoiding any divorce talk.”
Earlier in the week, the couple were spotted with their three kids, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, together at a Fourth of July parade near their home.
While the couple have committed to keep things civil for the sake of the kids, Jen would still need to get over the fact that her husband cheated on her with their nanny, Christine Ouzounian.
