Josh Duggar Talks Molestation Scandal: I Gave In To Temptation!
This month marks three years since the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls – four of whom were his sisters – while still living with his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle.
Had these revelations come to light in 2018 instead of 2015, they would almost certainly would have brought about the end of the Duggars’ media empire.
As it is, however, the Duggars have been able to rebuild, and while they may never regain the popularity they enjoyed in their heyday, they’ve somehow managed to remain on television in spite of the shocking allegations against Josh and his parents.
Jim Bob and Michelle helped Josh avoid prosecution, and they certainly weren’t the only ones who were aware of his crimes for several years before they became public knowledge.
There were his victims, of course, and there were also several residents of Tontitown, Arkansas, including several city officials who are now being sued by Josh for releasing his police records to In Touch Weekly.
One judge has already ruled that the town was fully within its rights to comply with ITW’s Freedom of Information Act request.
The fact that journalists who requested the information didn’t meet with any pushback jibes with what we’ve been told about the Duggars’ reputation in Tontitown, where – one insider informs us – Josh will “always be known as ‘Josh the molester."”
Josh, of course, has yet to issue a public statement on the allegations against him.
After the molestation charges went public, Josh was caught trying to cheat on his wife with a fraudulent online dating profile.
He was sent to rehab for sex addiction in Illinois, and upon his return to Arkansas, he was essentially made to live in exile.
These days, Josh works on a used car lot owned by his parents, but he no longer resides in Tontitown, and he reportedly has little contact with his family.
But there’s still a considerable amount of interest in Josh’s crimes, primarily from those who are intent on seeing that the father of five gets held to task for his egregious misdeeds.
Josh will never be prosecuted for the charges against him due to the statute of limitations, but the effort to ensure he’s never permitted to forget about the suffering he inflicted on others remains constant.
In that spirit, ITW has published a forgotten excerpt from the Duggars’ 2014 family memoir, Growing Up Duggar.
“As I became a young man I was constantly tempted to have lots of wrong thoughts and often battled to keep my heart right,” Josh wrote in the book.
Needless to say, he was unable to resist those temptations.
Astonishingly, his lack of self-awareness gets even worse from there:
“One of the greatest things that helped me in my struggles was my parents’ commitment to accountability,” Josh writes.
“They were faithful to talk with each one of us children — if we were willing to share honestly and openly with them — to maintain a clear conscience.
“I learned quickly that great freedom can be achieved by accountability but that deep accountability requires humility and openness,” he added.
“I often had failures in my early teenage years but found that I had a clear conscience only when I was willing to confess my thoughts and temptations quickly to God and to my parents”
Yes, Josh wrote without irony about resisting temptation and the importance of accountability in his household.
He admits to giving in to temptation but says he was able to clear his conscience after confessing to his parents, which … well, frankly that confirms our worst fears about the things children are taught inside the Duggar household.

Mother Who Gave Marijuana to Her Baby Arrested, Charged
There are a lot of bad parents in this world who make terrible, terrible choices for their children.
Most of these parents don"t record their terrible behavior and broadcast it to the entire internet. But … some do.
Which is how authorities came to see this video, below, featuring the outrageous sight of a 1-year-old baby smoking marijuana.
Brianna Ashanti Lofton is a twenty year old Raleigh woman, and she was arrested.
Her initial charges were for two counts of felony child abuse, contributing to delinquency, and possession of marijuana.
However, it was later determined that her initial felony charges were in error.
Upon her Lofton"s first court appearance, she was instead charged with a lesser felony.
It"s still a big deal.
And what she allegedly did is still unconscionable.
Police are crediting the public with directing them to this video.
The alleged incidents of this baby, who is now 16 months old, smoking marijuana (though it was initially believed to be a cigarette by some viewers) took place around December or January.
Shocked and outraged viewers who saw the video made it go viral — and many of them reached out to police.
That, authorities say, is how they were able to investigate this horrifying crime.
Lofton is being held at the Wake County Detention Center on $ 100,000 bond. Even if she is released, she is ordered to stay away from her baby.
The baby, who of course has not been named, is in the custody of Wake County Child Protective Services.
There was a time, of course, when parents considered it "normal" to expose their children and even babies to drugs.
We"ve all heard old stories about parents rubbing liquor on a teething baby"s gums, when there are of course much safer numbing agents.
For generations, bad parents have dosed their children with alcohol in order to get them to sleep — a despicable act that is damaging as well as dependency-forming.
Even just a few decades ago, doctors were advising parents to give their young children medications like Benadryl, which can cause drowsiness, for no other reason than to "help" the child to sleep at night.
While marijuana itself is not particularly dangerous, exposing a child or baby"s lungs to smoke can be so dangerous and damaging.
Beyond that, while marijuana is considered safe for adults, a child"s mind and body are still developing, and with very rare exceptions such as epileptic children or pediatric cancer patients, kids just do not need any marijuana in their systems.
And, again, we"re talking about a one-year-old baby.
On Wednesday, the Raleigh Police Department posted their gratitude to the public on Facebook:
"Big thanks to everyone who posted information about the smoking mother and baby. Thanks to your willingness to get involved, the child is now safe and the mother is in police custody."
If convicted, Lofton could face up to 17 years in prison.
This may strike some as odd, as abusive parents often face much shorter sentences for unforgivable acts of violence.
We should note, however, that most parents who willfully endanger and harm their children don"t … film it and then share the video of it on social media.
Here is the video that may keep Lofton behind bars until her baby is an adult.

Stephen Belafonte: Mel B is a Drug Addict Who Gave HERSELF Those Bruises
The controversial saga of Mel B’s expensive divorce continues. This is an unpleasant ride with stories of a blackmail sex tape, physical abuse, and financial exploitation.
Once again, Stephen Belafonte claims that he never abused Mel. But he now argues that he can account for her history of injuries.
Because he claims that she’s a drug addict who injured herself.
This ugly divorce is getting even uglier, folks.
TMZ reports that Belafonte accuses Mel B of being a drug addict and an alcoholic.
And he’s reportedly claiming that these alleged substance abuse issues are the real culprits behind her history of troubling injuries.
He claims that she would walk into doors and overdose, resulting in bruising and hospital visits.
He says that she would try to cover for it by claiming domestic violence.
Finally, at the same time as he’s making these arguments, he’s lobbying for visitation with his stepdaughter.
Several years ago, fans noticed bruising on Mel B’s body when she appeared on television.
Given the locations of the bruises, many fans recognized them as what they’d expect from a victim of domestic violence. They voiced their concerns.
Mel B replied that Belafonte would never hit her.
That’s what anyone would say if they’re not be abused. Of course, it’s also exactly what you’d expect to hear from someone who’s being abused by their partner but trying to make it work.
Now, however, the couple is embroiled in an ugly divorce, and Mel B had admitted that she was a victim of his alleged physical abuse for years.
She also says that he used his influence over her to force her to do a number of things, such as recording a threesome sex tape and making financial investments as he saw fit, whittling away at her fortune.
Belafonte has filed legal papers in an attempt to lobby for visitation with his stepdaughter, Angel.
Angel’s biological father is Eddie Murphy, but Angel has been with Belafonte for almost all of her life.
Belafonte claims that Mel B has “concocted” these accusations of abuse in an effort to turn Angel against him.
So now, on top if his demands for spousal support which Mel B dismisses as astronomical, Belafonte is demanding time with his stepdaughter.
And he says that all of Mel B’s injuries can be explained by her alleged substance abuse.
Belafonte refers to a 2014 incident in which he allegedly bashed Mel B’s head against a door.
He says that what actually happened is that Mel B overdosed and was rushed to the hospital.
The bruises and other injuries were then, in his narrative, the results of her IV needles and injuries that she somehow sustained at the hands of an EKG machine.
Out of embarrassment or some other unknown motive, she then tried to cover for the incident by claiming that he had abused her.
At least, that’s Belafonte’s version of events.
He also says that she will be so day-drunk that she walks into walls or will squat down and urinate on the couch in front of their children.
Mel B has claimed, on top of his alleged abuse of her, that he showed the children videos of Daesh beheading prisoners in captured cities.
He claims that this is untrue, and that he has never even searched for these videos.
It looks like they’re both making some claims that might be backed or refuted by evidence, such as testimony from hospital employees and perhaps some computer forensics experts.
Some evidence might be more ambiguous.
Mel B says she can prove that Belafonte made blackmail tapes. Belafonte says that his recordings prove that he didn’t force her into the three-way relationship because they show her as a willing participant.
This whole thing is a mess.
We can all hope that the divorce settlement is a just one and that, whatever happens, the children have the best possible outcome.

Sofia Richie: Scott Disick Gave Me the BEST Valentine"s Day!
Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have been dating for so long that Sofia’s had multiple hair colors during their relationship. These days, she’s a brunette.
But Wednesday was the couple’s first ever Valentine’s Day together.
And they didn’t let the holiday pass without marking the occasion.
For starters, Sofia Richie shared this black-and-white throwback photo.
Even without color, you can tell that Sofia was blonde at the time that it was taken.
This particular throwback was taken during Scott and Sofia’s sexy Italian vacation.
Which was, for those of you keeping track, after their big debut on their sexy vacation to Mexico.
Sofia Richie had more to share.
In her story, Sofia gave fans and followers a glimpse of what appears to be a small army of bright red roses that Scott had given her.
Obviously, some things are private.
Scott Disick may share his girlfriend’s butt with fans from time to time, but Valentine’s Day is special.
Even for celebrity couples.

Of course, initially, Scott and Sofia were fairly discreet about their comings and goings.
In this past episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the storyline finally reached the point where Scott Disick is dating Sofia Richie.
Obviously, the episode was filmed months and months before airing.
In it, Scott revealed that he was keeping the relationship on the down-low out of respect for Kourtney.
Perhaps he was trying to atone for how humiliated she must have felt while he drank and boinked his way around all summer in 2017, running through 19-year-old model after 19-year-old model until he finally settled on Sofia.
If he really cared about Kourtney’s feelings, maybe he would have resisted his self-destructive impulses and not
But that’s in the past, and Scott seems to be much healthier these days. At least, when compared to how he was over the summer when friends were reportedly concerned that he might drink himself to death.
Literally.
And it was thoughtful of him, if definitely too late, to be so concerned about Kourtney’s feelings.
We have to wonder how Scott Disick feels about Lionel Richie being scared to death that young Sofia Richie is dating the much older womanizer.
Maybe Scott has found a way to smooth things out, or maybe Sofia managed to assuage her father’s worries. It’s been months.
There’s no telling how long Scott’s relationship with Sofia will last.
It could be that they’ll wake up one day and the honeymoon phase will be over and Sofia either find an age-appropriate hot model or a new older millionaire to spoil her and Scott will find a new woman who’s young enough to think that he’s cool and mature.
But you know what? Kourtney’s relationship with Younes Bendjima no longer looks like a “boy toy” situation, and he’s a younger, hot model, too.
It could be that Scott and Sofia are in for the long haul.
Sometimes, relationships that look like flings to outsiders can last a lot longer than anyone would imagine.

Kylie Jenner: Why Fans Are Convinced She Gave Birth Last Night!
Are you getting sick of hearing about Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy yet?
No? It’s ridiculously juicy gossip and so very dramatic and you will never, ever get sick of hearing about it?
Good, we’re all on the same page!
There’s just something so interesting about Kylie being pregnant — maybe it’s that she’s only 20 years old, or maybe that the baby’s father is Travis Scott, a guy she was dating for MAYBE a month or two when he impregnated her.
Or maybe it’s because society (and Kris Jenner) has been conditioning us for so long to keep up with the Kardashians, and since Kylie refuses to confirm the news or even go out in public, we’ve had a heck of a time keeping up with it.
This whole thing seems more like a storyline on a bad soap opera than something that is actually happening to a real person, and it’s just been fascinating, right?
But last night, this storyline may have reached its climax …
That’s right, several people are reporting that Kylie gave birth last night!
A reporter named Sophia Julia tweeted “My sources say Kylie Jenner is in labor” — she later added “I don’t know the Kardashians. No one has confirmed sh-t. Just what I heard!!”
Another person tweeted “Inside scoop: Kylie Jenner is in labor. You heard it here first.”
Someone else claimed to have a friend who spoke to someone at Cedars-Sinai, the hospital in L.A. where the Kardashians have their babies, and that that someone said that Kylie was in labor.
There have even been some screenshots of a text message exchange going around in which one person claims to have a friend working at Cedars who told them that Kylie was there.
There’s another screenshot that’s been going around too — one from Travis Scott’s Snapchat.
In the snap, Travis is on a plane, and he captioned the photo “Make it home to ya one way or another.”
Many people interpreted that as his way of saying that Kylie actually was in labor yesterday, and that he was rushing back to California to be with her.
It’s a lot of information, huh?!
Unfortunately, none of it seems to be true.
A Kylie insider spoke to Radar Online and said that “there was a false alarm,” and that she’s only seven months pregnant right now.
TMZ also dismissed the rumors, and they even pointed out that the Travis Scott Snapchat that was being used as evidence wasn’t even posted yesterday, it’s from last month.
It’s interesting though, because many different people did seem certain that Kylie was at that hospital, and Radar’s source referred to it all as “a false alarm.”
So was she actually in the hospital yesterday?!
The general consensus is that her due date is in early February, so if that’s true, it’s definitely possible that she could have thought the baby was coming.
The last few weeks of pregnancy are tough, and they’re probably even tougher for a 20-year-old who’s never been through anything like it before.
Whatever’s happening, we just hope Kylie and her baby are healthy.
Well, that, and also that we get a damn confirmation soon.
