Kenya Moore: I"m Pregnant! Shhhh!
Guess who’s pregnant!
Kenya Moore’s marriage has been controversial for her career in more ways than one. And recently, it’s looked like Kenya and Marc Daly might be headed for divorce.
But the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is reportedly pregnant! That welcome blessing might solve at least one of her problems.
Okay, so back in June (which feels like a few weeks ago but also like a decade ago, because 2017 is a nightmare that exists outside of normal time), we told you that Kenya Moore got married to Marc Daly.
This was a bigger deal than usual … because the wedding was secret.
Not just from the public, but from producers of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
There was a very real chance that Kenya Moore could get fired for her secret wedding, because when you sign on to do a reality series about your life, producers don’t expect you to not only hide your wedding, but the fact that you’re planning to get married at all.
To compound the problem, Marc Daly didn’t want to appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
We don’t just mean his wedding — he, himself, did not want to appear on it. He believes that the series does not portray black men in a positive manner (he’s definitely not alone in that) and wants to take no part in it.
And that’s a problem for Kenya, because it’s a problem for producers.
See, to be on a reality series, it takes a little more than feuding with Kim Zolciak and Brielle Biermann.
You need an actual storyline. And that means your husband being on camera.
Now, it’s turned out that Kenya’s found a storyline — Marc’s physical absence.
He spends a lot of time in New York for business, but that is a stressful factor in his newlywed life with Kenya.
It does, however, give Kenya something to talk about on camera.
But now she has something else that’s much more positive to discuss:
Industry on Blast reports that Kenya Moore is pregnant.
Their report states that the 46-year-old and her husband are happy about the news, but that she’s waiting to announce it until she reaches a point at which she’s sure that her pregnancy can continue to term.
(Miscarriages early into a pregnancy aren’t uncommon, and no one wants to make the joyful announcement and then have to follow it up)
Reportedly, Kenya Moore received IVF treatments in Barbados over a period of a few weeks in order to conceive — many couples seek IVF, but particularly those who are concerned that age may be a factor.
Congratulations are in order for this RHOA couple!
And while a pregnancy can’t fix a marriage that’s on the rocks, it can solve Kenya’s other problem:
If she’s pregnant, maybe Kenya Moore will no longer be pressured to prioritize her career over her husband.
(Or vice versa)
Because, honestly, who cares about somebody’s marriage when there’s an adorable baby on the way?
There’s pregnancy storylines, childbirth storylines, and then newborn baby storylines!
And remember how Kenya’s future on the series was uncertain?

Wendy Williams Blasts Kenya Moore: Your Marriage is a Fraud! You Should Be Fired!
Wendy Williams went ahead this afternoon and did what she does best:
She stuck her irritating nose where it doesn’t come close to belonging.
On Sunday night’s emotional episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore admitted that her marriage to Marc Daly is already in trouble.
The two got hitched this summer in a shocking ceremony that reportedly even took Bravo executives by surprise.
There was talk earlier this year that Moore might be fired from The Real Housewives because she didn’t let network cameras film her wedding.
Heck, she barely even let producers know she was getting married!
Details on Daly remain very fuzzy, but Moore said on the latest installment of this reality show that her husband is “in the corporate world” and is a “former Wall Street banker and now an entrepreneur.”
Daly lives in New York City; Moore remains in Atlanta; and, yes, there’s already trouble in romantic paradise.
“My husband is just feeling very overwhelmed because he’s a private person,” Moore said at one point, latter crying through a closed door:
“I don’t want to get divorced.”
Sad stuff.
So, naturally, Williams felt like it was her duty to pile on.
“Shut up,” the talk show angrily told Moore during her Hot Topics segment on Monday, adding:
“I don’t even know if she’s really married, but if you are really married, then you’re just beginning. You want to know the pressure of being married in the public eye? I believe nothing she said.
“They need to kick her off the show.
“You live in Atlanta, your man lives in Brooklyn.
“If you want to have a real marriage, you have to be in the same town, in the same house, in the same bed.”
Williams, whose husband has been accused of having an affair, is definitely in the position to lecture someone else about how to have a happy marriage, don’t you think?
We’d say we’re shocked that Williams would offer up a scathing opinion on something she knows nothing about…
… but that’s like saying we’re surprised when water is wet or the sun rises everyday.
This is just what Wendy Williams does.
Heck, she recently blamed a rape accuser for having been allegedly raped by Nelly just because… well… we don’t even know why.
Because she knew he would earn her headlines and ratings, we guess.
In this case, Williams is maybe making less sense than ever.
Producers ought to kick Moore off the show because she’s maybe in a weird marital arrangement that is causing her strife?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 Episode 2 Recap: Will Kenya Moore Divorce New Husband?!
Kenya Moore shocked her fellow housewives on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 Episode 1 with the news that she is, indeed, married. That meant that all the tabloid reports were true and she kept all of her pals in the lurch.
On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 Episode 2, it became apparent that the marriage was not exactly what she thought it would be. Did she rush into it?
That’s exactly what she thought, but did she turn to any of her friends with her concerns?
When the episode got underway, it was all about Porsha Williams and she had a big change of her own in her life. Her sister, Lauren, was moving in with her because she was going through some stuff.
If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online, you will already know that the sisters are joined at the hip at the best of times, but Porsha was worried that this new situation was going to test their relationship like never before.
Porsha recently became vegan and her sister wanted to reiterate to her that it would be a good idea for her to freeze her eggs after six months. Apparently, six months without animal products in your system works wonders for the whole process.
Meanwhile, Cynthia opened up about being fifty-years-old and single. She wanted to return to the dating scene. She did so with some dude named Evan who sounded a little too good to be true.
The man organized a surprise photo shoot for her at his studio. Cynthia thrives on being the center of attention, so this was music to her ears. Naturally, she felt like she had won the lottery.
The big drawback for her was that Evan was just 29-years-old, but he did have roses spread across a table for her. Maybe finding someone from the younger generation will be good for her.
Noelle chimed in later, claiming that it is not acceptable for her mother to be dating such a young man. Instead, she said that she (Noelle) would be better dating him from the perspective of society.
Cynthia countered that she was not really interested in Evan, to begin with. Yeah, she’s totally lying.
Sheree had some drama of her own to discuss. She met up with her life coach to run through the emotional abuse she encountered during her relationship with Bob.
She wanted to open up to her kids because she felt she owed it to them to know what really happened during the marriage. She didn’t want them growing up thinking she fell out of love with him all of a sudden.
Sheree met up with her gal pals so she could speak about what happened in depth.
“I don’t know how to start the conversation,” Sheree said. Her friends then took on the roles of her kids to try and help her understand how they would react.
Then, Kenya opened up about her new husband being annoyed about the attention their relationship has received. What did he expect? He’s married to a real housewife!
“My husband is just feeling very overwhelmed because he’s a private person,” Kenya admitted.
In a surprising turn of events, she wound up bawling her eyes out to a producer because she felt like her marriage was already on the rocks.
“I don’t want to get divorced,” she sobbed.
The final big get together of the hour focuses on Shamea’s bridal shower and the outspoken star took her anger out at Porsha when she heard she was planning on skipping the nuptials.
“You’re telling me you’re not coming to my wedding in Kenya, but I’m still saving a place for you,” Shamea yelled. “You are supposed to be there. You’re supposed to be in the wedding.”
Porsha claimed a medical condition meant she could not go to the event, but everyone knew it was because she did not want to spend time with Kandi.
“It just feels like I’m being fronted out in front of the Kandi-coated clique,” Porsha complained to the camera. “It just feels like a slap in the face.”
“You’re not a horrible friend, but you’ve not been the best friend lately,” Shamea told Porsha after the event.
“When people act a certain way in front of other people and you’ve shown them your heart, you have to listen and take heed to that,” Porsha explained. “I just want to love and support her from afar.”
Yes, Porsha is going to be on the outs with all of her fellow cast members now. Sigh.

Roy Moore: Alabama Senate Candidate Accused of Child Molestation
Former Alabama Supreme Court judge and current US Senate candidate Roy Moore has always been a controversial figure.
After all, this is a man whose homophobic, racist, and anti-Muslim views earned him a reputation as a bigot even by the standards of Alabama Republicans.
But despite being twice removed from the bench for ethical violations, Moore has risen through this party’s ranks to become a figure of national prominence.
In September, he defeated Trump-backed candidate Luther Strange in a run-off election and became the GOP’s nominee to fill the Senate seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
During his campaign, Moore brandished a gun onstage, blamed the Sandy Hook massacre on a lack of school prayer, and called for the impeachment of judges who have
Astonishingly, it seems these views have only served to increase Moore’s popularity with his base.
But now, the 70-year-old finds himself at the heart of a scandal that may cost him the support of even his most fervent supporters.
The Washington Post has interviewed four women who say they were subjected to unwanted sexual advances by Moore in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when he was in his thirties and they were in their teens.
Leigh Corfman tells the newspaper she was just 14 when Moore groped her and forced her to touch his genitals at his home in rural Alabama.
“I wanted it over with — I wanted out,” she remembers thinking.
“Please just get this over with. Whatever this is, just get it over.”
Three women have independently claimed that Moore kissed them, inappropriately touched them, and plied them with alcohol when they were between the ages of 15 and 17.
Moore has denied the allegations in a statement issued by his campaign team:
“These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign,” the statement reads.
Adopting the favorite counter-argument of Trump-era Republicans, a rep for Moore added, “This garbage is the very definition of fake news.”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other prominent Republicans have stated that Moore should step aside if there’s any truth to the allegations.
Others, however, have mounted absurd defenses of Moore, including Alabama state auditor Jim Ziegler, who went viral with this asinine argument:
“Take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus,” Ziegler told the Washington Examiner.
Currently, Moore has no plans to bring an end to his campaign.
He is set to face off against Democratic challenger Doug Jones in a special election on December 12.

Mandy Moore Fights Back Against Body-Shamers, Is Simply the Best
Mandy Moore really does not get enough love, does she?
Sure, people have lost their minds over This is Us, and that’s great, but she’s been sharing her gifts with the world for nearly two decades now, and she deserves credit for that.
Credit, respect, and seriously, just so much love.
Remember that very first song she ever released, “Candy”? Or what about her work in classic movies like A Walk to Remember and Saved?
She also played Rapunzel in Tangled, so … yes, she’s pretty much an icon.
But hey, maybe you don’t have warm, fuzzy feelings of Mandy from way back then, or maybe you’ve never been a big Disney fan.
Maybe you haven’t caught an episode of This is Us and you’re just not feeling where all the love for this lady is coming from.
That’s OK.
Just sit back, relax, and allow us to tell you this magical story of the beautiful spirit and overwhelming greatness that is Mandy Moore.
All right, so last week, our girl here was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and she shared a few photos while she was hanging out backstage — check one out above.
She looks great, just like she always does, but many, many people felt the need to comment on her body.
Specifically, on her weight.
“You are so skinny….” one person told her in the comments. “You almost disappear when you turn to the side.”
“You don’t even look like Mandy Moore anymore,” another person wrote, along with rude hashtags like “stop being plastic” and “used to be hot.”
A few people accused her of Photoshopping the pictures, but as one follower speculated, there’s “no Photoshop,” it’s just that she’s “sickly thin.”
Several people advised her to “eat more” — a few specified that she needed to eat burgers and/or biscuits.
It was a little overwhelming, the number of people who felt comfortable being so critical about her body.
And she definitely noticed them.
After the comments started rolling in, she edited the caption of her photo, which had previously just been a couple of lines about how excited she was to be on The Tonight Show.
“And ps: I am 5’10 and a size 6,” Mandy explained. “I have NEVER photoshopped pictures. That’s not what I’m about. If you’re going to be rude about people’s bodies, go elsewhere.”
Which is amazing enough all by itself, right?
But she gave another statement during an interview with Cosmopolitan.
“I guess I shouldn’t have said anything, but I didn’t Photoshop!” she told the magazine.
“I’m not some teeny tiny person and I don’t pride myself. Look, I like to take care of myself and I try to eat healthy and I work out, but I’m a tall girl with a real body.”
“I don’t know, I’ve never been accused of that before,” she went on, obviously a little rattled by all the body-shaming comments.
“I felt like I had to jump in and say something because we don’t need to be talking about people’s bodies. Not on my Instagram at least.”
She said that perhaps it would have been best not to comment at all, “but my fans were hurt and I also just wanted to be truthful.”

Kenya Moore: FIRED from The Real Housewives of Atlanta?
Ever since Kenya Moore’s secret, off-camera wedding that had producers fuming, we’ve heard that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is torn between her husband and her reality career.
Though it seemed that the conflict might have been resolved behind the scenes, now it’s looking more and more like Kenya Moore either quit the show … or was fired. But was she?

Kenya Moore’s secret wedding to Marc Daly might sound romantic, but it came at a pretty hefty cost.
Not just because weddings can be absurdly expensive — we’re talking about a professional cost.
When you sign on to be a Real Housewife, or basically any kind of reality star (outside of competitions), you’re basically signing on to let cameras capture your life.
So you can understand why producers weren’t exactly over the moon that something as major as Kenya’s wedding wasn’t caught on camera.
The thing is that this wasn’t a minor oversight on Kenya Moore’s part.
Her new husband, Marc Daly, doesn’t want to be on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
It’s not that he’s just camera-shy — it’s that he doesn’t care for the show’s portrayal of black men.
He’s far from the first to criticize RHOA, or reality television in general, for worsening viewers’ perceptions of black Americans.
Call it “reality” all that you like, but producers decide who shows up on camera and then they get to cherrypick what scenes and storylines make it onto the show.
Marc — like others — points out that white men on RHOA are often portrayed as desirable husbands, partners, and fathers, but that black men on the series are shown famously getting into physical fights.
We don’t know that Marc Daly is personally afraid of being portrayed in a negative light, though that may be the case.
It’s more likely, however, that he’s simply reluctant to endorse a series (by appearing on it) that he believes is harmful. Just like how many people would turn down an appearance on InfoWars. Or on The Big Bang Theory.
Regardless, though, Kendra found herself caught between her career’s demands and her husband’s wishes.
Until recently, though, it had seemed like maybe things had mellowed out. Like she’d worked something out with producers.
But that was before a group of Atlanta’s very own Real Housewives took their vacation to Barcelona.
According to TamaraTattles, other Real Housewives begged producers to exclude Kenya Moore from their trip and to allow Kim Zolciak to come along instead.
It’s always hard to tell how much of a move like that is personal and how much of it could have just been them figuring the Kim might get some better ratings.
Regardless, it’s not great for Kenya.
It looked like they were getting their wish until last week, when Kim Zolciak took to Instagram and shared that she was opting out.
“WAS packing to leave the country then had a choice AND I decided.”
If we’re being entirely honest, Kim’s use of “choice” and “decided” seems so desperate that it kinda casts doubt on whether or not this was actually her call.
But what she chose to do instead … that does sound like something that she’d pick.
“I’ll be headed out for #DontBeTardy press instead! Season 6 premieres October 6th 8pm on @Bravotv #WhenYourOWNShowCalls… #SomeNeedToJustGiveItUp #ArentYouTired #Season6 #IAlwaysHaveAChoice.”
So … where does that leave Kenya Moore?
Kenya didn’t go to Barcelona.
New castmember Eva Marcille joined the Real Housewives of Atlanta costars in Barcelona, instead.
Which … sounds like someone really didn’t want Kenya Moore coming along.
So if Kenya is that untouchable or whatever, you’d figure that she’s been fired. Especially after the issue with her husband.
Us Weekly reports that Kenya is still on the show … just, you know, less than she used to be.
“Kenya has not quit the show, nor has she been fired.”
It actually sounds like Marc Daly might be coming around, according to their source.
“Her husband is a former investment banker who has never sought the spotlight. However, he wants to support his new bride and her career … apparently not fast enough.”
It sounds like Kenya not traveling to Barcelona may have always had more to do with producers pressuring her to feature her husband on the show.
“Kenya was pulled from the cast trip last-minute and Bravo may be playing a bit of hardball to get Kenya’s new husband on the show by limiting her on-air appearances.”
Presumably with a pay cut to match.
“Kenya is a newlywed and has to respect her new husband’s wishes to not be part of the show.”
Sure … but you have to wonder when he’s going to get around to respecting her wishes to not have her career sabotaged.
“Kenya has been trying to have a baby and the stress has caused her unnecessary emotional distress.”
It may sound like dramatic pseudo-science made up for soap operas, but stress is bad for conception, for pregnancies, and for pretty much every aspect of your health.
Still, for now, Kenya’s part of the show. Let’s just hope that Marc Daly joins her soon.

Kenya Moore Pens Emotional Tribute to Late Grandmother
Kenya Moore doesn’t have time to be feuding with Kim Zolciak or her daughter right now.
Or, to be more specific, Kenya Moore simply doesn’t care about Kim Zolciak or her daughter right about now.
A day after Brielle Biermann slammed Moore as an “ugly evil bitch,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member is dealing with something far more traumatic:
The death of a loved one.
Late Monday night, Moore shared the sad news that her grandmother has passed away, explaining on Instagram that she was especially close to this relative.
“Today I lost the only woman in the world who has ever loved me unconditionally,” Moore wrote. “My grandmother who raised me from 3 days old passed away.”
The 46-year-old went on to praise her grandma, expressing sadness, gratitude and appreciation all at once:
“Thank you Jehovah for sending me your Angel who taught me everything I know about love, compassion, strength, kindness, selflessness, forgiveness, family, education, brains over beauty, inner beauty, strength, respect for your elders, being true to myself….
“She has helped mold me into the woman I am.”
Moore’s grandmother had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease when she passed.
Thankfully, Kenya was able to pay her a visit last month, even getting a chance to introduce her to new husband Marc Daly at the time.
Continued Moore in her moving message:
“She truly was my best friend. She finally lost her battle with Alzheimer’s disease but her heart and spirit never failed her. Thank you Jehovah for allowing my last moment with her last month to be the last and for her to have met my loving husband.
“I truly believe she waited until she knew that I finally found someone to love and cherish me the way she did.
“She could not rest until she knew I would be taken care of by someone who deserved me.”
And this is how the Bravo star concluded her tribute:
She didn’t recognize me at first but when I introduced them but she lit up with so much joy that my heart became overwhelmed. She approved and it was the happiest day of my life.
Thank you momma for being the best woman I have ever met in my life. Thank you for approving of me and thank you for letting the world know how proud you are of me.
I thank you for my life. I owe the world to you. I know you will never leave my side in life or after. I am eternally grateful to you.
Thank you for loving me.
Perfectly said all around.

Brielle Biermann SLAMMED Kenya Moore on Twitter, and had everyone wondering what in the world her social media mini-rant was all about.
Well, now Kenya Moore’s responded — by pretending that she’s above it all.
And, more importantly, we know what this is all about.
E! did some digging and, per their source, can explain exactly what was going on that got Brielle Biermann so hot under the collar.
Apparently, it all went down at NeNe Leakes’ annual White Party (and sure, why not?).
“Kim and Kenya were already not getting along — they do not like each other.”
Well, yeah.
“Kenya started trash-talking Brielle,” and apparently that “really set Kim off.”
Who the hell trash-talks somebody’s kid?
Like, we know that Brielle is an adult, so it’s not the same as taking a jab at a child.
But isn’t Kenya supposed to be the adult?
Apparently, Kim felt the same way.
“You do not talk about her children. She is a very protective mama bear.”
That’s no surprise — Kim is a lot of things, but she’s kind of a good mom, you know?
In general, Kim Zolciak tends to support Brielle, which shows a healthy relationship.
“She said something to Kenya along the lines of, ‘Don’t talk to my mom, talk to me."”
It was apparently a “huge scene,” so we really hope that it all got caught on camera.
“There is definitely no love lost between Kim and Kenya.”
Clearly.
Kenya Moore indirectly addressed the conflict on Instagram.
Though, honestly, her message was more hashtags than anything else.

Seriously — one or two hashtags would be enough.
At this point, since she’s not doing it ironically, it makes her look desperate, you know?
So, basically, Kenya insulted Brielle, which got her into a fight with Kim, which got Brielle to stand up for herself.

Despite ourselves, we’ve found that we’re fans of Kim and Brielle’s mother-daughter dynamic.
Not so much their habit of twinning, because Brielle looks her best when she appears her own age.
(That’s not an insult to Kim Zolciak, who still looks great)
But Kim Zolciak’s given Brielle some good advice over the years, including suggesting that she test out different guys before getting married.
(That’s great advice, and our poisonously sex-negative culture too often encourages parents to shame their daughters for their sexuality instead of encouraging them to live their best, happiest lives)
The two of them, both adults, standing side-by-side and standing up for themselves is an encouraging image.
But … we do wonder what got it all started.
It’s always possible that what Kim perceived as an “attack” was a fair point.
As intriguing as all of this conflict is, hopefully they can just settle their differences.
Kenya Moore can keep flaunting her new husband, and Brielle Biermann can occupy herself with her ludicrously hot boyfriend.
But maybe Kenya can also remember that she’s supposed to be a mature adult.
Sure, Brielle got a little heated on Twitter afterwards.
But it sounds like Kenya started it all. Why? To stir up drama? To give herself a Real Housewives of Atlanta storyline?
Wait … that might actually be it.

Brielle Biermann Rants Against Kenya Moore: What "Dumb Ugly Evil Bitch!"
Kim Zolciak did not raise her daughter to shy away from premarital sex.
She didn’t raise her daughter according to the maxim “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” either. Quite the opposite, in fact.
That much is now evident.
This past Saturday night, for example, Brielle Biermann just came right out and Tweeted the following:
“Kenya is a dumb ugly evil bitch.”
The 20-year old later added that Moore “stalks” her and her mother.
Moore did not respond directly to the insult, although she did share something on Instagram that could easily be interpreted as a reply.
‘#aboutlastnight Everywhere you look there are haters… don’t let them dull your shine or steal your joy,” she wrote, getting carried away with hashtags and adding:
“#shine #happy #thatsMrsDalyToYou #whytheystaymad #obsessed #kenyamoore #rhoa.”
With Zolciak headed back to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, this social media feud may simply be fuel for future ratings fodder.
Which is not to say that Moore and Zolciak haven’t clashed often in the past on this Bravo reality hit.
In one famous fight, Kenya slammed Kim for getting injections on occasion – and Moore appeared on The Breakfast Club radio show this past May in order to say that Zolcick is returning to the franchise because she “need a check.”
Dissing a Housewife’s finances is pretty much the most guaranteed way to get under her well-manicured skin.
“Hmm this s–t is funny!!” Zolciak clapped back on Instagram at the time, going into defensive mode and adding:
“6 seasons in on Don’t Be Tardy, multi million dollar skincare line in less then 6 months @kashmerekollections meanwhile you sell your hair care products out of the trunk of your car and paying Sally’s beauty supply to do an appearances there AND you are spending what you do have on your 3rd paid boyfriend.”
Yikes.
For whatever it’s worth, Moore is now a married woman.
So Zolciak may need to find a new line of insults for her when they meet again on air down the line.
“Sweetie don’t try and come for me so you can have a story line for next season,” Zolciak added to Moore during their tiff this spring.
At the time she wrote this, it was unclear whether folks who tune in to watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online would actually see Zolciak on their screens when the series comes back next season.
But Kim finally made it officially just a few days ago.
“FINALLY! After many months of negotiations, I’m happy and excited to confirm that as of today my deal is done!” she wrote in an Instagram post, concluding:
“I’m coming to play with the ladies over at RHOA.”
Play? Or fight?!?

Kenya Moore Flaunts Her New Husband Despite Real Housewives Drama!
When we heard that Kenya Moore has to choose between her new husband and her job, we figured that it was a no-brainer. Being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta brings money and fame, while marrying brings statistically shorter life expectancies for women.
But Kenya is clearly experiencing that “love” emotion when it comes to Marc Daly. That’s been clear from the get-go.
In fact, Kenya’s clearly so enamored that she’s showing him off on Instagram.
Ever since Kenya Moore’s secret wedding, we’ve been itching to learn more about Marc Daly.
But, famously, he’s reluctant to appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
(And by “reluctant,” we mean adamant, because it doesn’t sound like he’s budging even though it could cost Kenya Moore her job)
Reportedly, Marc has an issue with the negative way that he says that black men are portrayed on the series.
He didn’t get specific, but we think that he joins others who have pointed out that RHOA portrays black men as lacking while showing white men as providers and desirable partners.
(There are a lot of thoughtful critiques of how reality television portrays black people, and the trends are not pretty)
We’d point out that, even as much control as producers and editors have, he might change that perceived portrayal by appearing on the show.
Also, from day one we were concerned that Kenya Moore could get kicked off of the show over having a secret wedding.
After all, it kind of spoils the image of “reality television” when something as big as a wedding happens off-screen.
But Marc seems unwilling to step in front of the Real Housewives of Atlanta cameras.
He’s clearly not universally camera-shy, though.
Because look what popped up on Kenya Moore’s Instagram page on Sunday:
Now, we might not know as much as we’d like about Marc Daly.
But that is a man who can really fill out a shirt.
And we totally get why Kenya is so besotted.
(Seriously, Kenya Moore praises Marc Daly a lot)
And we’re so happy for her that she’s found love.
Finally.
After 46 years.
But we do question if Marc, or love itself, could be worth sacrificing her reality TV career.
But maybe it’s unfair to put all of that pressure (or blame) on Marc.
After all, The Real Housewives of Atlanta hired Kenya.
If she’s too boring to put on television, that’s probably on her.
If the show’s producers and editors can’t find a way to include her on the series, that sounds like it’s their problem.
In neither case does Marc, who never signed up for the show to begin with, sound like the bad guy.
And while Kenya’s been slow to open up about him, it sounds like Marc is a real good guy.
The whole thing is almost enough to make you believe in romantic love, right?
Almost.
We really do hope that all of the parties involved can reach some sort of resolution soon.
Whatever that might mean.
(And there are some rumors floating around that she’s still negotiating, so maybe this story will have an all-around happy ending)
It looks like, if push comes to shove, Kenya will choose love, and that’s all well and good.
But we’d hate for her to go on this journey with Marc Daly and one day look back on this crossroads with regrets or second thoughts, you know?
