Matt Lauer to Ex-Colleagues: Please Forgive Me!
According to a new report, NBC is treating Matt Lauer like Matt Lauer allegedly treated many former NBC staffers.
That is, the network is showing the disgraced ex-anchor no respect.
The New York Post writes that executives are doing all they possibly can to pretend as though Lauer never worked for their company.
This seems like quite a challenge, considering Lauer was co-host of Today since 1997 and considering his firing last week is maybe the biggest entertainment story of the year.
But props to the network for giving it a shot!
“NBC News is bulldozing and erasing all memory of Matt Lauer,” Page Six reports, claiming the department is “demolishing his office, ripping off his name plate from the building and destroying all pictures of the shamed anchor.”
What about the button underneath Lauer’s desk that automatically locked his office door?
The one he allegedly used when a former employee was inside, after which he bent her over a chair and reportedly assaulted her?
Sources say it is also getting destroyed.
Indeed, this was the most disturbing aspect of the Lauer story that broke several days ago.
Prior to details of the alleged rape even being made public, NBC fired Lauer as co-anchor of Today due to a troubling report by a different former staff member.
Saying the complaint represented “a clear violation of company standards,” NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack explained that he had no choice but to “terminate” Lauer’s employment immediately.
He also said he had reasons to believe there were incidents aside from the one that got Lauer fired.
And, in the days since, those alleged other incidents have been brought to life; with reports claiming Lauer dropped his pants in front of at least one woman and demanded a sex act.
“They are so sickened by his behavior it is almost like they want to pretend he never existed,” Page Six also writes of NBC higher-ups.
Lauer, however, is trying to remind his former colleagues that he’s still around.
And he’s very ashamed.
The embattled journalist is supposedly “offering groveling apologies to…former colleagues by sending personal emails saying, ‘I am truly sorry,” claims an insider, who adds:
“Many of the Today staffers are so shocked and outraged by Lauer’s behavior they have been unable to find the words to write back.”
Or perhaps they simply want nothing to do with this predatory goon.
Al Roker has said that trying to understand the allegations against Lauer is a “process,” while Savannah Guthrie admitted on air that she’s “heartbroken” over the turn of events.
Lauer, meanwhile, has expressed regret and sorrow for his actions in a statement.
“Repairing the damage will take a lot of time and soul searching and I’m committed to beginning that effort,” he said last week, concluding:
“It is now my full time job. The last two days have forced me to take a very hard look at my own troubling flaws.
“It’s been humbling. I am blessed to be surrounded by the people I love. I thank them for their patience and grace.”
Whatever.
He sucks.

NeNe Leakes Sobs About Rape Joke: Please Forgive Me!
NeNe Leakes has always been one of the more controversial cast members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and that"s because she has no filter when it comes to her mouth.
Long story short: NeNe Leakes was performing standup comedy in Oakland on Saturday night, and she crossed the line by saying that she hoped an Uber driver raped one of the women in the audience.
"I ain"t even gonna tell you about the goddamn Uber driver. I hope he rape yo" ass tonight when he take you home, bitch," she yelled. Instead of laughing, the audience erupted and turned against the outspoken reality TV star.
"And steal yo" funky hello kitty, bitch," she added as the crowd reacted with shock and anger at the crazy scenario.
Simply put, NeNe should stick to having the Bravo cameras on her, because her stint on the stage was anything but entertaining. The only funny thing about it is that people legit paid money to see NeNe crack some jokes.
When one fan recorded the whole ordeal, it went viral on the internet, and NeNe realized this was a PR nightmare for her, so she took to her social media accounts thinking she could nip it in the bud with a good old apology.
"I truly regret and apologize for what I said from the stage in Oakland over the weekend," she began in her message.
"Sometimes words can cut deep and hurt when you have no intentions of them doing so."
"As a woman and someone who has survived abuse, I regret the words that I used."
"I made a mistake and I should have known better. I hope people accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. I am sorry," she concluded.
It"s always good to apologize, but fans were not buying it. People felt like she only apologized because of the crazy backlash she got in the aftermath of the video going viral.
So, the latest stage in her apology tour was a live video in which she used tears to her advantage as she tried to stress to fans that she was really sorry.
While the video does not give all the details, it does appear to hint that the woman who NeNe lashed out at had already tried to cause some drama and NeNe"s words were in retaliation.
"It’s ’cause I said the wrong thing back," NeNe says to an unidentified woman in the video.
But, the unidentified woman"s response actually made a whole lot more sense.
"And you said it in a moment of passion! It wasn’t something that you sat in the back and that you wrote into your script: “Hey, I’m gonna go out here and call these mother f***ers racist” and do all of that, that was something that happened in an instant," the woman begins.
"Hell, what we’re doing and what we’re dealing with at this day and age right now — racism is very real, and it’s unfortunate that it had to come out that way, but you know, it’s unfortunate to tell somebody to go kill theyself too because had you killed yourself that night, would this woman be going through that? Would they know that this is happening?"
It"s easier to understand now that there is at least a little bit of context to the story, but NeNe stressed that she should not have reacted the way she did.
"No because they don’t care. All they care about is what I said. I said — at the end of the day, I just want to be — I never want to cause harm to anybody else, not in that kind of way. Everybody who know me knows that I never would want that to happen," the star concludes.
It does sound like she"s sorry, but being in the spotlight, she should have known that the joke would become a media sensation.
She may be hating herself right now, but the RHOA producers will love all of the increased attention for the series which returns November 5.

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Will the Contenders Please Stand Up?
Dancing With the Stars’ 25th season is in full swing on ABC, and there have already been some surprising results to show for it.
Would this week yield more of the same?
This week, the contestants only had to perform a single routine, as opposed to the two they had to learn and perfect a week ago.
The task? A previously unlearned dance to reflect their favorite guilty pleasure, in non-traditional styles like Charleston and jazz.
Let’s break down the performances and the scores.
Drew Scott and Emma Slater – Argentine Tango – “Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds
Drew Scott has struggled throughout the first few weeks of Dancing with the Stars Season 25, and it was a pleasant surprise to watch the improvement during his performance with Emma this week.
Drew dressed as a sexy detective, while Emma went with the look of a witness. It worked, and the judges were glad there was a noticeable improvement with the duo.
Score: 23/30
Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess – Cha-Cha – “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith
Like Drew, Derek has struggled to adapt to the routines, so he took extra care to get to grips with everything before the big performance. Being a fan of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, he found himself dancing along with Sharna to the main track from the iconic series.
He and Sharna dressed up in ’90s clothing and looked the part. The judges noted there was an improvement, but there was still a lot of room for some more.
Score: 21/30
Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy – Quickstep – “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba
Victoria and Val have been middle of the pack throughout the first few episodes, and this number did nothing to set them apart. There was meaning to the dance and the song choice.
It was about bullying in high school and how one person overcame it. There was nothing spectacular about the performance, but there was also nothing exactly horrible about it either.
Score: 22/30
Vanessa Lachey and Alan Bersten – Jazz – “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper
Unfortunately, Maks was out of the competition for the evening due to a personal matter, and it allowed Alan to step in for some dancing fun. The quality dips when there are changes to a strong duo.
Their routine was exciting and a welcome surprise considering the speedy switcheroo. Despite some middling feedback, it was still a successful performance.
Score 23/30
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev – Viennese Waltz – “Love on the Brain” by Rihanna T
Nikki is a huge fan of romance novels, so we’re kind of surprised she’s a fan of 50 Shades of Grey because what’s romantic about the relationship between Anastasia and Christian?
They went with a risky performance that was not one we would normally expect from the show, but the judges are all for embracing change. That’s why Len has been giving out some positive feedback this season.
Score: 21/30
Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson – Samba – “It’s Gonna Be Me” by *NSYNC
Meh. That’s the best way to sum up this performance. Frankie has been a clear frontrunner since the beginning, but this performance seemed way too ambitious to keep it grounded.
His confidence seemed to take a hit throughout the routine, and that was not a good thing.
Score: 21/30
Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas – Jive – “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham!
Okay, so this was the big shocker of the night. Dealing with a breakup is not fun, and Mark helped Lindsay through it with a wonderfully choreographed dance routine that got the judges talking for all the right reasons.
More like this one, you guys!
Score: 27/30
Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko – Jazz – “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” by The Four Tops
It was one step forward and two steps back for this duo. They went for far too many props for the whole baking guilty pleasure angle, and it hindered their performance.
The judges took notice, and they raced back down the leaderboard. Sigh.
Score: 19/30
Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd – Jazz – “Jump (For My Love)” by The Pointer Sisters
Being a fan of romantic comedies, this duo went for a surprisingly romantic performance, and they utilized their skills very well, but it was not enough to gain more traction in the scoring department.
Score: 21/30
Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke – Salsa – “The Breaks” by Kurtis Blow
So, Terrell felt bad about liking breakdancing, so he decided to use it in his salsa with Cheryl, and it helped the duo garner their best results of the season. See! Changing things up works.
Score: 21/30
Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold – Charleston – “The Glory Days” by Michael Giacchino
This performance was colorful, and you can thank Jordan’s love of comic books for that one. It was great, and the sync was amazing. Jordan and Lindsay are so great together that if they don’t make it to the final, we will be very mad.
Score: 25/30
In a true stunner, there was no elimination, so everyone gets to dance another day!

Scott Disick to Kris Jenner: Please Don"t Fire Me!
Earlier this week, we reported that Scott Disick has been fired by Kris Jenner.
Many wondered if Kris has the authority to fire Disick, as she’s the grandmother of his children, and not his boss in the formal sense.
Others felt that if she has the power to 86 her daughter’s embarrassing baby daddy, she should’ve done so years ago.
The situation is a complicated one, and there aren’t many cut-and-dried answers, but as executive producer on Keeping Up With the Kardashians Kris does have the ability to kick Scott off the show, which would profoundly hamper his other business ventures.
(Club appearances by former reality stars typically don’t feature six-figure checks and bottles of Moet in the VIP.)
As for why she waited until now, well it seems during Scott’s suicidal bender, Kris just felt bad for him.
Now, Disick is dating Sofia Richie, and insiders say he’s cut back on the booze at the request of his 19-year-old girlfriend.
The idea that Scott was willing to cool it on the sauce for Sofia, but not for his three children apparently and rightfully pissed Kris off to no end.
So Kris is within her rights and she has every reason to be angry.
But apparently, that won’t stop Scott from fighting for a piece of the empire that he feels he helped build.
“Scott met with Kris and lawyers this week because he knows she cannot get rid of him while he is still under contract to appear on KUWTK through next season,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
“She told him that she was cutting him out of everything, but because he and Kris were so close in the past, he is really trying to persuade her to change her mind.”
Apparently, the Lord isn’t above exploiting his familial connection to Kris for monetary gain.
“Scott knows that he will be a part of Kris’s life forever because he is the father to three of her grandkids, so he thinks that it is absolutely absurd that she would even try to pull something like this,” says the insider.
“Scott has made Kris a ton of money because she has used all of his drama to increase ratings on the show.”
Pretty shady stuff, but before you go siding with Kris 100 percent, you should know that the exploitation is a two-way street.
“Kris wants to use Scott’s mental breakdown for next season’s storyline and she cannot do that without including him in the show,” says the source.
“So she is kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place right now, and she knows it.”
Only in Kris Jenner’s world is the idea of “using” a loved one’s mental breakdown anything less than appalling.
But hey, she didn’t get to be the world’s number one momager by being nice.

Sean Spicer: Being COURTED for Dancing With The Stars! (Please Let This Happen!)
It looks like Dancing With The Stars might be about to get a whole lot … Spicey-er.
We’re not even a little sorry for phrasing it that way, because seriously, how else are we supposed to express our excitement — because DWTS is actively courting Sean Spicer.
We hope that the folks at ABC aren’t too attached to their mini-fridges, though.
Spicer resigned from the White House because he “strongly opposed the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci.”
(He probably just wanted to jump ship from a toxic work environment before the whole administration collapses under the weight of incompetence and lies)
Sean Spicer had hoped to go into the White House with integrity, declining to comment when necessary but always being truthful.
Instead, on his very first day after Trump’s inauguration, Spicer was sent out to lie about the crowd size at Trump’s inauguration.
(Even though there were pictures!)
It was all downhill from there, basically.
Spicer was constantly used less to answer reporter’s questions and more to reiterate or defend Trump’s tweets or nonsensical statements.
He was a target of ridicule, not only from comedians (we will always treasure Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of him) but also from within the White House.
When the Trump Administration broke decades of precedent and banned video recordings by the White House press corps, Steve Bannon joked that it was because Sean Spicer was “too fat.”
Classy.
Mind you, this joke came from Steve Bannon, who looks like the cartoonish personification of liver disease and also like every single male NPC in every The Witcher game.
Still, though, that’s a toxic work environment and just a really, truly terrible job to have.
Sean Spicer may not be a good or ethical person, but we almost felt relieved on his behalf when he announced his resignation.
But now Sean Spicer’s newly “single,” as it were, and being courted by plenty of suitors.
Namely, networks that would love to have him as a commentator — if they think that he’ll be sufficiently entertaining for people to tune in.
And while Zack Braff tweeted out a joke that he looked forward to seeing Sean Spicer on Dancing With The Stars … it’s actually not that much of a joke, according to Page Six.
In fact, they report that Sean Spicer is being courted for Dancing With The Stars.
“That has legs,” their source said of the rumor.
If you think that this is somehow beneath the dignity of Sean Spicer … well, look at his last job.
But also, Sean Spicer has worn a bunny costume before for the White House’s Easter celebration (under the Bush Administration).
Just a few months ago, he hid behind some bushes on the White House in the hopes of not being seen by reporters.
(That didn’t work out so well)
He’s repeated blatant lies to the press just to soothe Trump’s ego.
In an effort to condemn Assad, Spicey accidentally made some wildly controversial (and false) statements that seemed to almost praise Hitler.
He also stole a mini-fridge from a White House staffer’s office after-hours, walking it back to his own office, because he didn’t want to eat in the commissary and no one would give him a mini-fridge of his own.
His career has been full of indignities.
Dancing With The Stars, at least, is supposed to be a little ridiculous.
And let’s not forget that former Texas Governor and (somehow) current Energy Secretary Rick Perry went on Dancing With The Stars after losing the primaries last year.
It turned out that he isn’t much better at dancing than he is at remembering the names of three government departments that he wanted to get rid of, as he was the second contestant to be eliminated on the show.
But if a current member of Trump’s cabinet was on the show so very recently, it’s easy to see Sean Spicer stepping up.
(Especially if they offer him enough money)
Neither ABC nor Sean Spicer have commented yet on the story.
But this would be a good move for Sean.
He’ll want to distance his brand as far as possible from Trump.
Even if he doesn’t want to come accross as “disloyal” to the man who thinks that loyalty is a one-way street that always leads to him, Spicey can create some distance by doing something endearing an apolitical.
Nancy Grace temporarily improved her public image as an accusatory firebrand when she appeared on Dancing With The Stars.
And we all remember Nancy Grace’s nip-slip, whether we want to or not.
We’re not saying that some dance moves and a wardrobe malfunction are all that it will take to redeem Sean Spicer in the public eye for his role within the Trump Administration.
But … it might be a start.
Unless, of course, he decides to just disappear completely from public life.
But that would be such a waste.

Dean Unglert Before The Bachelorette"s Hometown Dates: PLEASE Be Nice About My Dad!
It’s that time again for The Bachelorette‘s hometown dates — always illuminating and often fateful for contestants.
Dean Unglert is a favorite this year, and of course he’s one of the suitors who’s getting a hometown date with Rachel Lindsay.
Dean’s family’s come up before, so he’s taken to the interwebs to issue a plea for religious tolerance — because his dad, as you may remember, is a Sikh.
If you’re scratching your head for a moment and wondering who takes issue with Sikhs, the issue is a little more complicated than that.
Sikhism is, like every faith, complicated, but essentially it’s a panentheistic religion believing in a single God who permeates and transcends every aspect of the universe.
Many people minority faiths see discrimination and mockery, particularly when they are poorly understood by the culture in which they live.
Unfortunately, two realities of Sikhs have led them to face real violence from bigots.
Sikhs wear turbans over their uncut hair as a matter of religious expression.
While Sikhism accepts converts (like, say, Dean’s father), they do not actively seek to convert anyone, and because of that there is a powerful ethnic association for Sikhs.
The result is that you have brown-skinned people wearing turbans and, well, bigots aren’t generally known for their cultured educations.
In the eyes of the ignorant, Sikhs look like Muslims.
(And we’re talking about bigots here, so they see Muslims as targets for violence)
Horrible hate crimes have been committed against Sikhs, which would be vile enough on its own.
But in many cases it seems to be a case of mistaken identity fueled by Islamophobia.
Dean Unglert has described his father as “eccentric” in the past, and received criticism for that by Sikh fans of the show.
Conscious of bias and prejudice within the culture, Dean took to Instagram to ask people to not be dicks about his dad, basically.
“Hometowns are 2 days away! ..and I’m asking for a favor: when I said my father was eccentric, I was not referring to his Sikh faith or the turban he wears on his head.”
He’d already clarified that, but it’s good to repeat it again.
Someone being of a minority faith shouldn’t be seen as a goofy quirk, you know?
“I’m not asking you to spare his feelings (or mine) but instead to be cognizant and accepting of the millions of people that belong to the Sikh community.”
That’s so important.
Representation on television is important, and the folks at home can learn a lot that way.
But none of that works if people ridicule or fear someone else because they’re different, you know?
“Although he and I are not close, I respect my father’s decision to follow his heart and pursue the life he has chosen.”
That’s all that you can ask for, you know?
“Let us not criticize him for his appearance or his beliefs because by doing so we are disparaging an entire faith and culture that includes millions of people.”
That’s such an important statement.
“And I know we are all better than that. That is all (for now) #endrant HAPPY SATURDAY PEOPLE”
Dean is just so charming, you know?
As you might recall, he’s a start-up recruiter who has his mother’s initials tattooed to his chest.
So … his job is very Millennial and his personality is more than a little quirky.
Honestly, Dean is likable even when he’s shading another contestant.
Add to that his boyish good looks that are vaguely (vaguely!) reminiscent of The Flash‘s Grant Gustin, and you’ve got a strong contender.
Then you throw in this very sensitive plea for people to respect his dad’s faith, which is shared by millions.
He’s kind of a dream, right?
Of course, sadly, we already know that Rachel isn’t going to choose Dean.
Dean Unglert was spotted on set for Bachelor in Paradise, which is amazing for that show but not great news for his role on The Bachelorette.
(It also means that he won’t be The Bachelor)

You’d think that if this charming guy isn’t Rachel’s pick, she’d be going with the handsome Peter Kraus.
But actually we’re pretty sure that we know who Rachel will choose on The Bachelorette.

Donal Logue Tweets to Missing Daughter: Please Come Home
The world can be a horrible place. Sometimes, all that you can do is hope for the best.
Ever since Gotham actor Donal Logue tweeted that his 16-year-old is missing, we’ve been hoping that his next tweet would reveal that Jade Logue is safe.
His tweets since that announcement have not, unfortunately, been anything so comforting.
Donal Logue, who seems to have a habit of deleting his tweets, initially shared that she was missing over Twitter.
“Missing — yesterday at 2PM Barclays Center/Fort Greene Brooklyn: my child, Jade Logue. 6’2” 180 lime green hoodie dark green military parka.”
This was a couple of days ago, which raises the urgency of Jade’s absence to maximum.
Anybody can go missing for a few hours and it turns out that they just got lost and their phone died or they lost track of time.
Now, it looks like the best case scenario is that Jade got restless or upset and is just crashing with a friend for a few days.
Usually, you don’t hope that a teenager has run away, but at this point, we hope that’s what she did.
Donal’s tweets have been very touching, as have the tweets from Jade’s mother, Kasey Smith.
But they don’t fill you with hope.
Yesterday, Donal tweeted out, thanking fans for their “love and prayers,” though that tweet has also since been deleted.
Both parents are probably hopeful that Jade is able to check Twitter and see messages from them.
So they probably want their top tweets to be directed at her.
Just in case.
Though we’ll reluctantly admit that it’s kind of hard to picture her still hiding out now that her absence is receiving this much media attention.
Actresses Olivia Wilde and Stana Katic have sent out tweets of their own in the hopes that more people will help look for Jade.
One of the many concerns about Jade’s status as a missing person is that she’s trans.
As we know all too well, trans people — and in particular trans women — are at far greater risk of suffering from violence than most people.
Obviously, the fact that she’s a teenager doesn’t do a lot to make her safer.
The news of a missing trans teenager fills us with familiar dread.
We just … really hope that she’s okay.
In the wee hours of this morning, Donal tweeted out another plea.
“Jade. we miss you and love you. please come home. If you can see this, just know I love and miss you dearly.”
Kasey Smith’s last two tweets are more or less the same.
“Jade We miss you. Your family wants you home. If at all you’re able to read this KNOW we want you home. I love you baby”
This shows how desperate they are.
And they’ve probably both tweeted these things on the advice of friends or law enforcement.
Or other missing persons specialists.
This also has to be horrifying for Jade’s older brother, Finn.
Unfortunately, this situation reminds us of when Walter Koenig’s son went missing.
That actor’s missing child turned out to have committed suicide.
Let’s hold onto hope that Jade is okay.

Kris Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner: Please Come Back!
Keeping Up with the Kardashians is not actually on the verge of cancelation.
Yes, it’s true that ratings for Season 13 were a disappointment across the board.
And there are competing theories why this happened.
Did viewers simply experience a bit of family fatigue after so many years of the Kardashians in the spotlight?
Were storylines such as Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris simply too serious for those who watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online or on TV each week hoping for lighter material?
We can’t say for certain, but the season did end on a positive note.
Ratings for the final couple of episodes ticked up a bit, largely due to the release of excerpts from Caitlyn Jenner’s memoir and her family’s reactions to all she had to say.
In one clip from a June installment, Kris Jenner slammed her ex-husband as insane:

Viewers tuned in to see various loved ones call out Caitlyn for making private matters public, such claiming at one point that all the money she earned over the years “went to Kris.”
During her tirade against Caitlyn, Kim even says in the footage above that Jenner “just literally started three families with three different people and f-cked everyone over.”
Ouch!
But also: cha-ching!
The series hit on a topic that drew fan interest with this storyline, which is why an insider tells Radar Online that Kris wants to bring Caitlyn back into the E! fold on Season 14.
“Kris is thrilled that the ratings boost happened and she wants to continue this drama with Caitlyn into next season,” explains this source, adding:
“She approached Caitlyn about it and told her that she wants to put their differences aside for the sake of the family!”
Caitlyn has said the Kardashians are full of drama and she has no regrets about all she spilled and there’s no way she’ll appear on their reality show again.
Unless…
“Caitlyn knows Kris’s intentions,” the insider says. “She basically told her, ‘Show me the money!"”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode that aired last week and which featured Kris and Caitlyn at war over the latter’s biography, “The Secrets Of My Life,” led to a a 175% increase in ratings.
It was the second highest-rated cable show in its time slot that Sunday evening.
Even with Kylie Jenner signing on to anchor in own series this summer, Kris knows that her bread is most heavily buttered as the producer of the family’s original, long-running program.
It’s not hard to imagine her going to any length to make sure it stays on the air for as many seasons as possible.
Heck, perhaps this means she even remarries Caitlyn if that’s what it takes. Or makes a sex tape with Corey Gamble.
Nothing would surprise us when it comes to Kris Jenner and her insatiable greed.
And that’s why we so very scared at the time of this writing.
(It’s also why Caitlyn should hold out for the biggest paycheck possible. Lord knows she deserves whatever she can get for putting up with Kris for so long.)

Kathy Griffin on Offensive Donald Trump Photo: My Major Bad! PLEASE Forgive Me!
Kathy Griffin is sorry.
Like, really, really, REALLY ridiculously sorry.
The comedian came under fire from both sides of the aisle on Tuesday after she posted for a Tyler Shields photo shoot in which she held the bloody, severed head of President Donald Trump.
In a horrible attempt at humor, Griffin wrote “there was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his…wherever,” as a caption, hearkening back to when Trump made the same comment last year about Megyn Kelly.
It was a sexist, inappropriate thing for Trump to utter at the time.
And, in the context below, it was a wildly inappropriate and borderline illegal thing for Griffin to say now.

Shortly after the fake beheading went viral, Griffin started to backtrack on the meaning behind it.
“OBVIOUSLY, I do not condone ANY violence by my fans or others to anyone, ever! I’m merely mocking the Mocker in Chief,” she Tweeted.
Shields, the photographer behind the shoot, was more defiant in his defense of the pairing’s so-called “art” work.
“Can you go to jail for making an artistic statement??? Asking for a friend… @kathygriffin,” he wrote.
No, not really.
But you can go to jail for threatening the life of a sitting President.
It’s unlikely that the Secret Service will actually investigate Griffin and/or that any charges will get brought against Griffin.
But she has heard it from Republicans and Democrats alike in the wake of this distasteful stunt.
“Disgusting but not surprising. This is the left today,” wrote Donald Trump Jr., turning this into a partisan issue and adding:
“They consider this acceptable. Imagine a conservative did this to Obama as POTUS?”
Of course, this has proven to be wholly untrue.
No one on the Left considers this acceptable.
Griffin is almost receiving more flak from Liberals than from Conservatives because this distorts their rhetoric against Trump.
There is plenty (and we mean PLENTY) one can say as a critique of Donald Trump without resorting to such acts of fake violence.
“It wasn’t right when peoplel hung lynched Obama effigies, just as what Kathy Griffin did isn’t right now,” wrote Debra Messing, Chelsea Clinton also disproved Trump Jr.’s thesis, Tweeting:
“This is vile and wrong. It is never funny to joke about killing a president.”

If Griffin was seeking attention and looking for a way to unify members of both political parties, she has succeeded on both fronts.
In light of this never-ending backlash, however, Griffin recorded a 30-second video this evening and shared it on Twitter.
“I beg for your forgiveness,” Griffin is here to say. “I went too far.”
She goes on to say she’ll see if Shields will remove the video in question and all of the photos.

Lena Dunham: Please Stop Talking About My Weight Loss!
So Lena Dunham has lost a lot of weight recently, right? A considerable amount of weight, really.
But the thing is, she doesn’t want any of us to talk about it.
“But why?” you might be thinking. “She keeps talking about it herself, what does she expect?”
And those are good questions — Lena started losing weight a few months ago, and she’s been open about the reason behind it.
In a February interview with Howard Stern, she explained that “Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food.”
“Everyone’s been asking like, ‘What have you been doing?"” she went on. “And I’m like, ‘Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight."”
In January, she called a Glamour cover in which some cellulite was visible on her legs a “triumph for womankind,” so she’s clearly comfortable with talking about any and all aspects of her body and her weight.
But in a great big long Instagram post she shared yesterday, she insists that she’s not cool with people talking about her weight.
We know that because the photo she shared was a screenshot from an article titled “People Need to Stop Talking About Lena Dunham’s Weight.”
In her caption, she writes “I feel I’ve made it pretty clear over the years that I don’t give even the tiniest of sh-ts what anyone else feels about my body.”
“I’ve gone on red carpets in couture as a size 14. I’ve done sex scenes days after surgery, mottled with scars.”
“I’ve accepted that my body is an every-changing organism,” she writes, “not a fixed entity — what goes up must come down and vice versa.”
“I smile just as wide no matter my current size because I’m proud of what this body has seen and done and represented. Chronic illness sufferer. Body-shaming vigilante. Sexual assault survivor. Raging hottie. Just like all of YOU.”
And this is where it gets weird — she says that “Right now I’m struggling to control my endometriosis through a healthy diet and exercise.”
What about Trump though, girl? Why the change in the story?
Regardless, Lena continues by saying that her weight loss “isn’t a triumph and it also isn’t some sign I’ve finally given in to the voices of trolls.”
“Because my body belongs to ME — at every phase, in every iteration, and whatever I’m doing with it, I’m not handing in my feminist card to anyone.”
“I refuse to celebrate these bullsh-t before-and-after-pictures,” she concludes. “Don’t we have infinitely more pressing news to attend to?”

It’s just strange because … like, of course her body belongs to her. And as someone who thoroughly enjoys posing nude or nearly nude at every opportunity, she should realize that people are going to notice big changes.
Pointing out her weight loss isn’t somehow an anti-feminist move, and it’s not like people are saying “Thank goodness she finally lost some weight, she’s finally a real person now!”
Everyone loves a good weight loss before-and-after. It’s human nature. It doesn’t have to mean something terrible, and it doesn’t require an essay.
So take that body that belongs to you, Lena, and just chill for a little bit.

Romain Dauriac to Scarlett Johansson: Please Don’t Divorce Me!
Romain Dauriac isn’t taking “No” for an answer.
He isn’t even taking “No, Seriously, I Don’t Want to Stay Married to You and Really Think We Ought to Go Our Separate Ways for the Rest of Our Lives” as an answer.
After announcing their separation in January, Johansson took the break-up a legal step further this week by filing for divorce.
In a statement provided to Us Weekly and other outlets, the beautiful actress acknowledged this decision by saying the following:
“As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage.
“Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same.
“Thank you.”
It all sounds very reasonable, just like the statements made by many celebrities before Johansson who filed for divorce.
But Dauriac has responded in an unexpected way.
As part of her filing, Johansson is asking a judge to give her primary custody of the ex-couple’s three-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac.
She was born shortly after the pair got married in 2014.
Dauriac, however, has asked the actress to withdraw her divorce petition, citing the little girl as his basis for wanting to work things out.
“It is indeed unfortunate, especially for our daughter, that Scarlett filed in court and made our personal differences so public,” Dauriac’s statement in response reads.
“I would implore her to withdraw her action promptly and to go back, as uncomfortable as it might be, to the negotiating table.
“We are the parents of a lovely daughter whom we will continue to co-parent for many years and share her joys and sorrows as only a parent can.”
Dauriac’s attorney tells People Magazine the two were engaged in private negotiations when Johansson filed her papers.
“We were shocked that they filed these proceedings in court,” he tells People, adding:
“We had been negotiating information relevant to their child Rose and also economic issues, so we were stunned when they did this. We’ve told [Johansson and her lawyers] that we would go to any means to try to avoid this.”
This is an unusual back-and-forth that does seem to be more centered on the future of little Rose; not on Dauriac simply wanting to stay married to one of the best looking women on the planet.
The divorce papers were served on Tuesday afternoon and an insider tells People that Johansson didn’t mean to start an all-out war.
“Under the law in NYC, the filing of an action for divorce is merely procedural,” this insider says.
“No request for a judge was requested. While her lawyer did request that Scarlett get residential custody, again, for procedural purposes, they preserved all rights she had if they didn’t resolve the case. It wasn’t a secret that the parties were separated. So filing for divorce is no big deal.
“This is not a hostile act by Scarlett.”

Sinead O"Connor To Arsenio Hall: I"m Sorry! Please Don"t Sue Me!
Sinead O’Connor has a knack for speaking her mind.
Unfortunately for her, that’s getting her in a lot of trouble.
Somehow, she always seems to have something to say about any event that’s going on in the media.
Whether she’s being a little too forward with the likes of Miley Cyrus or claiming that Arsenio Hall supplied Prince with drugs before his death, she’s keeping people up to speed with her thoughts.
However, the controversial singer has now backtracked on the comments she made about Arsenio Hall.
Shortly after Prince’s death in April 2016, O’Connor took to Facebook with a bizarre rant.
That rant about Hall also included O’Connor slipping her a mickey several years before.
O’Connor’s post reads:
“Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades…. Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s bitch)
“Anyone imagining prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land.
“Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sherrif’s office. Expect their call.
“They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie murphy’s house. You best get tidying your man cave.”
Naturally, Arsenio responded with a $ 5 million lawsuit against the singer.
However, that was not the end of it. O’Connor then wrote up a 1400 word tirade against Hall.
Yes, it was crazy. It all came out of nowhere, so people did question the motives surrounding it.
It seems that Sinead knows she was in the wrong because she’s started an apology tour towards Hall.
Yes, she actually apologized!
Arsenio and Sinead tell TMZ in a joint statement, “Sinead has retracted and apologized for statements she made about Arsenio last year, which prompted his defamation lawsuit against her.”
Sinead did seem remorseful for her comments.
“I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death.”
“I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally.”
Hopefully, this will help Sinead think about her comments before posting them in future.
It seems like the feud is now over and both stars can move on with their lives without the stress of a lawsuit.
