Last night on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the status of Kenya’s TV pilot was revealed, while Cynthia grappled with Peter’s viral video scandal.
Picking up where last week’s premiere left off, The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 2 gave us an official intro to new star Kim Fields.
The actress meets Kenya Moore to discuss her “Life Twirls On” TV pilot – which stunningly, no one has picked up – and see if she can help her out.
It’s too soon to tell if Moore’s show will ever come to fruition, or if Fields can fill the enormous shoes of NeNe Leakes, who is no longer on the show.
When you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online this week, though, it sure feels like NeNe’s void is unfilled. At least for the first two weeks.
So far, Cynthia Bailey’s marriage to Peter Thomas seems to be RHOA‘s go-to angle, as there is distance (geographic and otherwise) between them.
He is defensive about the viral video in which he appears to be flirting with another woman, but Bailey believes it’s emblematic of much bigger issues.
Papa Smurf is horny as s–t and Cynthia is clearly aware that the fire between them isn’t what it once was. Can they rekindle the flame, however?
We’ll see where that goes, but hopefully they fare better than Porsha Williams’ math skills, as she believes 13 weeks pregnant equals two months.
Seriously, that’s how she assessed her sister’s pregnancy. She’s a little clearer on her feelings for Duke Williams, the NFL star she’s been dating.
Duke, 24, already seems a bit wary of Porsha coming on too strong, and if you read much celebrity gossip, you know how this is gonna turn out.
When someone tells you “I’m actually making you my trophy man” and hands you an actual trophy, you may want to run/start ghosting them online.
Finally, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks and their recycled feud from last season / possible road to reconciliation occupied a lot of time-killing space.
Returning cast member Sheree Whitfield proclaimed at one point, “I am reformed. I don’t do all that anymore,” referring to creating drama out of nothing.
Bravo has no such qualms.
