Prince Harry & Meghan Markle: Engaged, Just Waiting to Make Announcement (Report)

Rumors about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle getting engaged have been circulating pretty much from the time the world learned they were dating.

As a result, we’re highly skeptical of any new reports that Harry has quietly put a ring on it, and the couple is just waiting for the right moment to share their big news with the public.

That said, in recent weeks, the photogenic couple has been more open about their relationship than ever before, leading even the most wary of skeptics to suspect that an engagement announcement is forthcoming.

Harry and Meghan traveled to Africa last month in order to celebrate her birthday, and many now believe that Harry surreptitiously popped the question during the trip.

Those who subscribe to the theory believe there are multiple reasons that Meghan has not been wearing her ring in public and that the engagement is being kept a secret kept by the Royals.

For starters, Meg and Harry understandably did not want to overshadow the twentieth anniversary of the death of Princess Diana.

On top of that, everything the Royals do is carefully coordinated, and it’s not like Harry and Meghan can just post a ring pic on Facebook and be done with it.

There are protocols to be followed, media demands to be met.

The whole affair of announcing the engagement publicly is reportedly so closely managed that within the walls of Buckingham Palace, it’s been given the code name of Operation Princess.

After much discussion, the Royal PR team has reportedly chosen a date and venue for Harry and Meghan to make their first appearance as an engaged couple.

The Invictus Games begin September 23, and since the event has always been important to Harry, and it will this year be held in Meghan’s adopted hometown of Toronto, it’s thought to be the perfect place to announce the engagement.

Sources say Harry’s decision to propose to Meghan initially received some push-back from family members who objected to the idea of an American actress being granted a royal title.

It seems Meghan has won over the stodgier Royals, however, and even her most ardent former critics have come to embrace the Suits star. 

“Harry’s father is just keen for him to settle down and be happy,” an insider recently told The Daily Mail.

“Both Charles and Camilla are understood to have held back from expressing views, keen that Harry should have his own space to make his own decision.”

So be on the alert the week of September 23.

We get the feeling the Invictus Games are about to be overshadowed by some long-awaited news.

Ginger Zee is Pregnant! Watch the Fun Announcement!

It was an especially good morning for one Good Morning America personality on Monday.

Ginger Zee, the program’s long-time meteorologist, walked to her green screen during today’s broadcast and appeared as if she was all ready to a regular weather report.

But co-host Robin Roberts urged the studio audience and viewers at home to “listen very closely to what Ginger has to say.”

From there, Zee started talking about the upcoming solar eclipse (don’t miss it! On August 21!), only to then announce:

"This is the breaking news part, though."

Meaning what, exactly?

A weatherwoman is not typically the person on Good Morning America to break any kind of news.

“[There’s a] lesser-known visual phenomenon that’s about to happen on our maps only for the next five months,” Zee explained, proceeding to point to Los Angeles on a map of the United States.

“This area here, in the Southwest, right about here, and then this [Southeast] area right about here, are going to have a shadow from my belly, because I’m pregnant!”

Yay! Hooray! How exciting!

Zee then showed off an image of her son Adrian, who will turn two in a few months and who was holding a sonogram picture of his new baby brother.

The latter is due to arrive in February 2018.

Zee was congratulated by Roberts and the rest of her co-workers, who marveled over “another baby” coming, along the impending arrival being “another boy.”

“He’s going to be so, so good,” Zee said of Adrian. “Already asking to hold his little brother.”

The GMA star is married to fellow  journalist Ben Aaron; the two got hitched in 2014.

In June 2015, she announced on this same show that she was expecting their first child, while Adrian was born in December of that year.

Zee went on maternity leave and eventually joined Dancing with the Stars.

Bachelor in Paradise Sets New Premiere Date, Makes Stunning Announcement

ABC has a couple of exciting announcements to make.

First, the network has confirmed that Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 will, indeed, air this summer, despite the multi-week scandal that delayed production at the start of filming.

As a result of the He Said/She Said/And Also a Producer Said between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson, new episodes of this reality series will kick off on August 14, immediately followed by a second new installment on August 15.

The show was originally scheduled to premiere on August 8.

It was pushed back, however, after Olympios and Jackson got very drunk… then got naked in a pool together… and then got into some seriously raunchy action.

Things got so hot and heavy and sexually heated that a producer thought Corinne may have been too drunk to give consent.

Once this possibility was raised, Warner Bros. shut down production and sent all contestants home.

Olympios stated publicly that she felt “victimized,” while Jackson said his “character” was being “assassinated.”

In the end, an investigation determined no sexual assault of any kind took place and cast members were invited back down to Mexico to finish filming.

But no way would Corinne and DeMario be included among these cast members, right?

Mostly.

That’s mostly right.

HOWEVER, Olympios said in a brief statement on Wednesday that she’ll be appearing on one episode of Season 4 after all.

“I am very happy to be appearing on the Bachelor In Paradise Special,” she said simply today.

Jackson, sources, confirm is on board for this same special.

In an interview with E! News shortly after his name was cleared, DeMario said he had no hard feelings toward Corinne.

He detailed their sexual encounter (in MAJOR detail) and wished Olympios the best on multiple occasions.

It’s unclear just when this special will air, but Season 4 itself will take place over six weeks this summer.

Those six weeks will feature past Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants attempting to find love for a second time in Mexico, while they also witness the wedding of Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 couple Carly Waddell and Evan Bass.

This ceremony was filmed on June 17.

Following the sex and alcohol scandal, producers said they would emphasize certain rules on Bachelor in Paradise going forward, including a two drink per hour maximum.

They also said bartenders would keep a much closer eye on who was drinking and how much they were drinking.

“I am also happy about the changes that have been made to the production of Bachelor In Paradise,” Corinne said in a previous statement, adding:

“While I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have been a participant on The Bachelor, and while I was invited to return to Bachelor In Paradise when production resumed, I respectfully made the decision not to return.”

What changed her mind?

Or did she always plan on making a cameo on Season 4?

We’ll never know.

But with no misconduct determined to have taken place, perhaps Olympios wants a forum to tell her side of the story.

Jacob Roloff Makes a Major Announcement

Slowly but surely, Jacob Roloff is stepping back into the spotlight.

The former Little People, Big World star didn’t merely quit his family’s TLC reality show last summer…

… he did so in VERY loud and memorable fashion.

In July of 2016, Roloff called out the series and also his loved ones for being totally fake and scripted.

He simply couldn’t handle it any longer and chose to go off on his own instead; he’s basically been road-tripping around the Pacific Northwest with his girlfriend and dogs ever since.

But Roloff has been keeping fans apprised of his life via a handful of video blogs over the past several weeks, explaining that he can control his own narrative this way.

“It’s just more free doing it myself, I can do anything, I can say anything, I can talk about anything,” Roloff wrote on Instagram of why he has stepped away from reality TV… yet is still in front of a camera.

“I can show whatever I want,” he concluded of these videos.

Along these same lines, Roloff has a new announcement to make:

He’s coming out with a book!!!!!!

It is titled “Verbing” and you can purchase a copy on Etsy.com for just $ 5.

On Instagram, Roloff describes this quasi memoir as a “little thing” that are his “thoughts in physical form.”

A profound individual, the 20-year old spends his days traveling around the country and basically pondering various aspects of life. And he wants to share some of these contemplations with his fans.

“Forewarning: I am not taking myself overly serious, it would be prudent if you didn’t either,” Jacob adds of the book, explaining:

“This is a sincere expression and not much more. No end-game. No expectations.”

At the moment, the book is only available for shipping to the United States and Canada.

According to its official description, it is a 16-page collection of three short essays, one titled “Ignorance,” one titled “Frustration,” and one titled “Revelations.”

Concluded Roloff of his goals with the short tome:

“This is my exploratory experiment with writing to get my feet wet with the process and establish the subject(s) I would like to write on in the future….

“Thank you for all support and encouragement!”

Jacob has also been vocal of late in his appreciation for new nephew Jackson Kyle Roloff.

The baby was born to brother Zach and sister-in-law Tori on May 12 and he appears to have helped Jacob grow close once again to his family members.

On more than one occasion, Jacob has stopped by the family farm since Jackson’s birth, sharing pictures of the adorable tyke and gushing over him online.

“Love bein an uncle so far. Love Little Man,” Roloff wrote as a caption to one of these images.

Audrey Roloff Has a Major Announcement to Make

Audrey Roloff has made a few controversial statements over the years.

Remember when she likened marriage to war, writing that entering this union is akin to stepping on to a “battlefield?”

Explained the Little People, Big World star at the time:

“What are you doing to protect your marriage against the dangers of, porn, workaholism, worry, pride, stress, fear, loss, addiction, comparison, social media, emotional cheating, that girl at the gym, in-laws, hormones, or idolizing your kids?”

In giant, bold font, Roloff added about a year ago:

TO WIN A WAR, YOU HAVE TO KNOW YOU’RE IN ONE.

A few months later, Roloff recommended reciting one’s wedding vows while having sex (with the person to whom you originally said the vows, we presume.)

Audrey said she did this on her honeymoon with husband Jeremy and it was, like, the most “intimate” thing ever.

And eventually it led to Audrey getting pregnant, so there must be something behind the unconventional idea.

The couple is expecting its first child this summer.

Late last week, meanwhile, Audrey came out with another set of remarks that may have taken a few fans aback.

But while these did center on her marriage, they did not involve any kind of unusual sex advice.

Instead, Audrey wrote on social media that she and Jeremy have… moved! They’ve decided to be closer to be family by buying a home in Portland!

“We are officially homeowners!!!! What a day, week, and month it’s been,” the 25-year-old wrote as a caption to the following image, adding:

“C-R-A-Z-Y. But today was move-in day, and we are thankful and excited for new beginnings… in more ways that one.”

Audrey and Jeremy previously resided in Bend, Oregon, about three-and-a-half hours away from any family members.

On a recent episode of their family’s smash hit TLC series, the two sat down in their kitchen and talked about their future options, most notable where they wanted to raise their own family.

They said at the time (see the clip above) that they were content living in Bend, yet Audrey’s pregnancy quickly changed their viewpoint.

“I’m more inclined to raise a family closer to the farm and our families cause I thought that was always what we wanted,” Audrey told Jeremy.

However, Jeremy was concerned that moving to the Portland area would be awkward and challenging, considering Amy and Matt Roloff are now divorced.

Moreover, the stars of Little People, Big World are involved in relationships with other people: Amy is dating someone named Chris Marek and Matt is with his Caryn Chandler.

Jeremy explained that it’s uncomfortable for him as their son to be around that type of environment.

“It’s a broken family,” he sadly said.

So, what convinced him to make the move?

A desire for his child to grow up close to his twin brother Zach’s child.

(Zach and his wife Tori just recently welcomed their first baby into the world, a boy named Jackson.)

Pretty sweet, right?

Despite a few scandals having hit this family over the past few months, including Jacob Roloff constantly slamming his relatives, it’s nice to see Jeremy keeping his impending child in mind here and doing what’s best for the little one.

Last night was out last night in our beloved Bend home… The decision to leave Bend was not made without MANY long, intense, and tearful conversations.

Ultimately, Jeremy lead us in the decision to move back to Portland to be close to our families and the farm with baby girl on the way – eliminating the copious amounts of back and forth we’ve been doing over the past two years….

Moving is always hard. Not just physically, but emotionally – and not just because I’m 6 months pregnant. I have a tough time leaving places that hold so many sweet memories.

I think Bend will always feel like home to us. I’m brimming with thankfulness as I reflect back on all of the ways that the Lord has provided for us, refined us, grown us, blessed us, and worked through/in us during our time in Bend. The hardest part about moving is hands down leaving our community.

Our house church family in Bend is truly the most honest, generous, vulnerable, encouraging, accountable, God-fearing, spirit-lead, and Jesus loving group of people I’ve ever been given the privilege to do life with.

To say our faith has been stretched and strengthened these past few years is a staggering understatement. I am torn between excitement and sadness – to be expected with such transitional times in life.

Nevertheless, Jeremy and I topped off a full day of packing with some pizza on our empty bedroom floor, a tearful (on my end) illumination of the past two years, and a prayer for all that lies on the road ahead.

Prince Harry-Meghan Markle Engagement Announcement: Actually on the Way?!

On Saturday, Pippa Middleton married James Matthews in a relatively low-key (by semi-royal standards) ceremony in Berkshire County.

Leading up to the nuptials, there was a considerable amount of debate as to whether Pippa should invite Meghan Markle to her wedding.

Some believed extending an invite would be a lovely way to make Meghan feel welcome in her strange new world.

Others contended that Meghan would overshadow Pippa on what was to her big day.

Ultimately, a compromise was reached and it was decided (and probably decreed by a dude with a flugelhorn and a parchment) that Meghan would attend the reception, but not the ceremony.

There. Now that all that Pippa business is over with, we can get back to obsessing over what the British tabloid media is really interested in these days:

We’re talking, of course, about the question of when Harry will propose to Meghan.

Yes, we’re gone from “if” to “when” on this one, folks.

At this point, there’s no question that this is Harry’s most serious relationship to date, and it seems putting a royal ring on it is a foregone conclusion.

According to People magazine, those who had been holding onto lingering doubts that Harry was in it for the long haul stood corrected after witnessing the couple’s behavior at Pippa’s reception.

“Harry was being the perfect gentleman with Meghan,” one onlooker tells the mag.

“He wants her to acclimatize to it all. It’s such a whole different world to move into — there’s so much to get used to.”

Even the former skeptics are now on board with the idea that we’ll be seeing another royal wedding in the near future, but it might be a while before Harry pops the question.

Naturally, there’s no shortage of rumors as to why he’s holding off.

Some say he wants to wait for the dust to settle from Pippa’s wedding, so as not to steal her thunder.

Others say Harry is waiting on the Queen’s permission to propose.

But hey, maybe he’s just following in the family footsteps and planning to make Meghan wait so long that she becomes an international punchline.

Jill and Jessa Duggar: Radio Silent on Josh and Anna"s Pregnancy Announcement

Sometimes, silence really can be deafening.

On the Duggar family’s official website Friday, Josh and Anna Duggar announced that they are expecting a fifth child together this year.

His younger siblings, who are typically quick to gush over each other’s life milestones, aren’t exactly rushing to congratulate him.

The news that Josh and Anna Duggar are having a fifth child was shared via a simple blog post Friday, in which the couple said this:

“For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives as a family.”

“Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust.”

“We have learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time,” Josh, 29, and Anna, 28, continued.

“As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year.”

“Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy! [Signed] Josh & Anna.”

Members of Duggar Nation need no reminders of the fact that the road by which Josh got Anna pregnant again was a long and bumpy one.

So bumpy, the wounds have not yet healed for some members of his family, even if Anna has moved past Josh’s infamous sex scandals.

Sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar were among the five child molestation victims Josh violated when he was a teenager in the early 2000s.

While they put on a good front after that scandal was exposed in 2015, they’ve kept a distance from him ever since – including now.

The duo, typically active on social media – and especially so in the wake of big family news – has been radio silent for two-plus days.

The echo chamber pretty much says it all.

Jill’s last Instagram update came one week ago, featuring her husband Derick Dillard in Central America on the couple’s mission trip.

Jessa was active as recently as Sunday evening, sharing with fans new pictures of her adorable sons Spurgeon and Henry Wilberforce.

Not a word about Josh and Anna’s news.

While you may not think the absence of public comment is a huge deal, consider that it rarely if ever happens with the married sisters.

Jessa and husband Ben Seewald immediately shared a video following the announcement of Joseph Duggar courting Kendra Caldwell.

And after Joy-Anna Duggar got engaged to Austin Forsyth this winter … and Jinger Duggar got engaged to Jeremy Vuolo last year.

Lest you think that pregnancies don’t necessarily warrant congratulations, Jessa made mention of Jill’s second just a few months ago. 

Like Josh and Anna, Jill and Derick Dillard (already parents to son Israel) recently announced they are expecting a baby boy this summer.

Unlike with Josh and Anna, Jessa is thrilled.

For their part, both Ben Seewald and Jeremy Vuolo have voiced … opposition to The Shack, a controversial movie currently in theaters.

The degree of bad blood between the Duggars and Josh has been the subject of debate for two years, and isn’t definitively known.

Clearly, we won’t know everything that goes on behind closed doors, and they’re never going to throw any shade (at Anna especially).

Beyonce Shatters Instagram Record with Pregnancy Announcement

Beyonce has done it, folks.

Yes, she’s gotten herself pregnant with twins and changed the conversation within America from one that centered on despair to one filled with hope.

But she’s also officially set an Instagram record that we can’t imagine will be broken any time soon, if at all.

Around 1:40 Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, Beyonce posted a unique photo of herself wearing lingerie and a veil while clutching her growing baby bump.

It was accompanied by a caption that read as follows:

We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over.

We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters 

Within eight hours of the post and message going live, it notched 6.33 million Likes, breaking the Instagram mark of 6.3 million Likes previously set by Selena Gomez last June.

That artist achieved the milestone by simply staring into the camera and sipping from a bottle of Coke.

Beyonce has a solid 92.9 million followers on this social media platform, but such a figure doesn’t even rank her among the most popular celebrities on Instagram.

Gomez leads the way in this department with 108.4 million followers, while Taylor Swift (96.8 million) and Ariana Grande (95.4 million) round out the top three.

Still, within 12 hours of the Beyonce pregnant announcement, the superstar had garnered 7.12 million Likes and 360,600 comments for the above photo.

It’s hard to imagine anyone ever topping those figures, unless Swift maybe gets pregnant with Donald Trump’s baby or something.

This isn’t the first time social media has gone bat $ hit crazy in response to something Beyonce did or said, of course.

Back in 2011, Beyonce confirmed her first pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards by showing off her baby bump on stage following a performance.

This move generated the most Tweets per second (8,868) of any event to date at the time.

According to Thuzio’s Julius influencer-marketing platform, Beyonce averages 1.6 million engagements per post.

This number will clearly rise after this week, although she’ll still have a way to go before she catches Gomez at number-one (2.9 million combined Likes and comments on average), Cristiano Ronaldo (2.1 million), Lionel Messi (2 million) or Kylie Jenner (2 million).

But we’re guessing social media dominance isn’t really at the forefront of Beyonce’s mind right now.

Take a look at that above baby bump. She’s not all that far away from giving birth!

There’s a nursery to design, there are clothes to purchase, there are names to pick out, there’s maybe even a new album to record at the last minutes.

Who knows when it comes to Beyonce?

And Jay Z. It’s easy to forget that he also plays a major role in this development and that he’s one of the most successful musicians of all-time.

But few stars have ever controlled their own narrative like Beyonce.

She dictates when announcements are made and when she’ll simply own the celebrity gossip and news headlines for a few days.

In this case, though, we think it will be a few months.

Heck, she may break her own Instagram record with the first photo she shares later this year of the twins. We can’t wait!

Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 7 Recap: Mariah Makes an Announcement

The best thing about Sister Wives is when the family rallies round one of their own. 

That’s exactly what happened on Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 7, when Mariah stunned her family with a shocking announcement. 

The whole family seemed to think she was going to reveal she was in a relationship with someone, but they did not expect her to tell them she was gay. 

The family were quickly to give her the support she sought and it was pretty amazing. Mariah was quick to point out that it was far from an easy decision to come clean to her family. 

Robyn understood that it must have taken a lot of courage to tell the family the truth because of them being a plural family. She and Janelle were quick to accept Mariah for who she was, but Meri and Kody had been completely blindsided. 

You could tell they were trying to process the revelation their daughter had just revealed to them. Surprisingly, the thing that helped Kody make sense of it was that he had entertained the possibility of one of his own being gay before. 

Kody let his daughter know that he would never like the thought of one of his children not being loved. It was then that he let Mariah know that he would love her no matter what. 

Meri claimed that she was mostly upset because she did not even suspect it. She assumed her daughter was straight and would marry a man one day. 

With Meri’s relationship with Mariah on thin ice, Robyn and Kody went to speak to Meri about her feelings because they did not want Meri to send mixed emotions Mariah’s way. 

Meri decided it was best to choose the family vacation as the best time to talk to her daughter about everything. Meri was cautious about what she was going to say. 

She feared that she made their relationship even more strained, but there was a slim chance of that. Their relationship was pretty much in tatters. 

When Meri questioned how Mariah came to the conclusion she was gay, Mariah was quick to shut it down. Her reason? It was personal. Meri tried to relay that she was confused about her feelings to Mariah, but things got tense when she said the word “weird.”

Mariah took this personally and thought her mother was calling her weird, but she really was not. There was something that seemed odd about the scene because Meri kept randomly laughing. 

This irked Mariah even more, who felt her mother was making fun of her. When Meri tried to bring up being in Mariah’s life more, Mariah shut it down. She was not ready to let her mother back in. 

Mariah did let her mother know that her time away from the family helped her come to terms with her feelings, so that’s why she enjoyed the independence. 

Later, Meri continued to try and get all the attention on her when the family went out for dinner. After a multitude of questions about Mariah’s sexuality, she revealed that she initially came out to her brother Logan. 

Meri sobbed that she wanted it to be her. Is this woman trying to cry the family a river, or something? If she really wanted to make amends with Mariah, she should just accept it and move on.

Elsewhere, Christine was still trying to find out whether Tony was the right man for Mykelti and she got her confirmation by watching the way they were acting with one another on the vacation.

Kourtney Kardashian: Planning Christmas Pregnancy Announcement?!

For weeks now, we’ve been hearing rumors that Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant with her fourth child.

Interestingly – though not surprisingly – most reports have Kourtney making the baby with her longtime on-again, off-again boyfriend Scott Disick.

Of course, at this point, it’s all just speculation.

Fortunately, nothing stays private for long in the Kardashian family.

Insiders are claiming that Kourt and Scott are planning to share the news of their forthcoming bundle of joy with her famous family (and a full E! camera crew) on Christmas Day.

Of course, until the big day comes and the Instagram posts of Kris Jenner unwrapping a box with a positive pregnancy test inside go live, these reports will remain rooted in speculation.

And naturally there’s some disagreement among sources.

Reports conflict as to whether Kourtney is already knocked up or simply hoping to get knocked up in time for the holidays.

(There are few tabloids screaming that she’s not pregnant and has no intention of becoming pregnant, because, well … that would be boring.)

“Both [of them] want to make it work for them and their kids,” an insider tells E!

“The two are doin’ it non-stop in hopes of getting pregnant again.”

At this point, if Scott and Kourtney are still hoping to have a bun in the oven in time for the holiday, they better be going at it with the frantic energy of a weekend dad it the Target toy aisle on Christmas Eve.

It’s interesting that the news of Skourt bangin’ with a purpose comes from the network that made the Kard clan famous, but obviously, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s accurate.

The Kardashians aren’t quite as reliant on marriages and pregnancies as, say, the Duggars, but their former ratings juggernaut that is KUWTK has shown signs of slowing down over the years.

Another Kourtney pregnancy might help keep viewers engaged and the series afloat.

Of course, if that doesn’t work, producers may want to consider the possibility of a Trump-Kanye spinoff.

Could be yuuuuuge.

Justin Bieber Makes MAJOR Announcement on Ellen

Justin Bieber looked back and looked forward during an appearance on Ellen this week.

The singer and the host talked about how the interview – which has already been taped and which will air across the country on December 5 – marked Justin"s 26th time as a guest on the program, with DeGeneres remaining Bieber of all they"ve been through.

They celebrated his 18th birthday on air.

Madonna once hit on Bieber during an episode.

And Bieber announced his "Purpose" album last year while sitting across from Ellen.

In this case, meanwhile, Bieber had another exciting announcement to make, but not before Ellen asked the obligatory question about his love life:

Who is Justin dating?

"I’m not dating anybody, I’m single,” Bieber replied immediately, adding: “I’m not really looking either."

So much for that Selena Gomez marriage rumor we guess, huh?

Coming across far more subdued than usual, Bieber gave pretty short answers to Ellen"s questions, which included whether he"s ever been on Tinder and whether he gets lonely on the road.

(Yes, Justin admitted, which may explain why he used an ad to lure women to a hotel room in Prague.)

But enough about Bieber"s personal life. What about his professional life?

The artist and the comedian surprised the audience with a major announcement about what fans can expect from Justin Bieber in 2017.

Jinger Duggar Engagement, Jessa Duggar Pregnancy Announcement: Timed to Prevent Cancelation?!

At first glance, it looks as though the Duggars are different from your typical reality TV family.

But on closer inspection, the Counting On clan has more in common with the Kardashians than they’d probably care to admit.

For as much as the Dugz talk about their religious beliefs and moral rectitude, there have been plenty of indications that their number one concern is the family business.

And the family business, of course, is fame.

In particular, reality television is the Duggars’ bread and butter, and business hasn’t exactly been booming lately.

In addition to its mediocre ratings, Counting On has proven to be a public relations nightmare for TLC.

Several advertisers have not only pulled out of the show, they’ve cut ties with the network altogether in direct response to the controversy surrounding the Duggars.

Ratings have rebounded slightly in recent weeks, and it seems there are two main factors driving the resurgence:

First, news that Jinger Duggar is engaged to Jeremy Vuolo prompted an uptick in media coverage of the beleaguered family.

Shortly thereafter, reports that Jessa Duggar is pregnant with her second child seemed to trigger a slight increase in viewership.

These developments were incredibly fortuitous in their timing, and now many fans are wondering if that’s no accident…

No one is saying that TV ratings were Jinger’s sole motivation for getting engaged, or Jessa’s only reason for getting pregnant.

But maybe the timing of the events has been orchestrated to give the Duggars a much-needed popularity boost, just as TLC execs are weighing their options with regard to the show’s third season.

Part of the speculation from fans has been prompted by the way in which the engagement and pregnancy were teased and “drawn out” over the course of the season.

We’ve known for months that Jinger plans to marry Jeremy, but the proposal wasn’t shown until several weeks into the show’s current season.

At one point, producers even hinted that Jeremy would pop the question on the next episode, only to pull a shameless bait-and-switch and hit viewers with an “engagement special” clip show instead.

Similarly, Jessa hid her pregnancy from fans for as long as possible, even going so far as to post old photos of herself on Instagram, so that fans wouldn’t take notice of her absence.

It’s not unusual for pregnant women to avoid talking about their pregnancies in the first trimester, but Jessa took these precautions well after her bump was showing, and she spoke about being knocked up in episodes of Counting On that taped several months ago.

So is all this a coincidence, or are the Duggars truly living their lives for the cameras?

We may never know, and frankly, it seems their fans don’t really care.

Following Jinger’s engagement, she, Jeremy Vuolo, Jessa, Ben, Spurgeon, Michelle Duggar and friends had Korean BBQ to celebrate.

There, Jinger updated us on her courtship rules:

“Now that Jeremy and I are engaged, we’re planning to hold hands, but I think we’re going to save our first kiss for our wedding day.”

The focus is still on “communication” and “being wise with physical affection and the boundaries there and saving that part for marriage.”

And MASH (massive amounts of side hugs).

To that end, even family matriarch Michelle said her job as chaperone was tricky because it’s “kinda hard to keep two magnets apart.”

Still, she was thrilled … and just wait:

“Ben and I are excited to announce that we are having another baby!” Jessa Duggar told the cameras, allegedly before her family knew.

“I guess I’m built more like my mom,” she said, noting that some of her sisters had likely figured this out, but not the whole Duggar crew.

According to Jessa, Jill Duggar figured out she was pregnant during a video chat just a week after Jessa had learned the exciting news.

Well, now it’s time for all to know …

Jinger took a special family photo of Jessa, Ben and Spurgeon to help them announce the news to all who had not figured it out by now.

“Doubling the love,” read the chalkboard in the cute photo, which Jinger – who was also in on the secret, clearly – could not wait to reveal.

Meanwhile, Jill and Derick were ready to return home to the U.S., where Jana (obviously) was in charge of preparing for their return.

Upon arriving back in Arkansas, Jill and Derick couldn’t believe the renovations that the family made Jana be in charge of for their home.

Then it was time for their first one-on-one moment since leaving for Central America, with Jessa babysitting. Exciting, hot stuff right?

Oh yes. They went to … the grocery store.

Jill Duggar: Planning For Another Biological Child?

Hey, it’s all about the simple pleasures in life, right?

Finally, Jessa and Ben invited everyone over for ice cream, and presented Jim Bob and Michelle with a belated anniversary gift:

The framed photo announcing their pregnancy.

She beamed that she was “100 days” pregnant, which is pretty impressive to withhold: Guess Jessa Duggar’s baby bump didn’t pop yet!

So it’s 2 and Counting for the Seewalds. But don’t expect her to follow in Michelle’s footsteps when it comes to … well, birthing 17 more.

“I won’t be giving birth to 19 kids,” she said, although she hedged, “I mean, I don’t foresee that … maybe I will surprise myself.”

You don’t want to rule anything out, it’s true.
