Jennifer Lawrence Visits Children"s Hospital on Christmas, Remains Awesome

Lots of people say they’re gonna perform some sort of charity or volunteer work during the holidays, but all too often the obligations of the season get in the way.

Which is why it’s all the more impressive when someone with as much on her plate as Jennifer Lawrence takes time out of her busy schedule to make the season brighter for those less fortunate.

Lawrence stopped by the Norton’s Children’s Hospital in her native Kentucky on Christmas Eve to spread some cheer and pose for photos with staff and patients.

It’s the fifth consecutive year that Jen has stopped by the hospital during the holiday season.

While many celebs would no doubt take to social media to inform the world of their magnanimity, Jen has made no public mention of her selfless act. 

In fact, were it not for an Instagram post from hospital staff, we might never have learned of her visit!

The photo below appeared online on Christmas Eve, along with the following caption:

“Louisville’s own Jennifer Lawrence stopped by Norton Children’s Hospital today to visit with patients, families, and staff,” the hospital shared on their Instagram page on Sunday.

“This visit has become a tradition for Lawrence each Christmas. Thank you, Jennifer! You sure do bring a smile to all!”

And, of course, Jen is generous with more than just her time.

Last year, she donated $ 2 million to the medical center.

Shortly thereafter, she announced the establishment of the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

Sure, stuff like this will never grab as many headlines as the rumors that Lawrence is dating Brad Pitt (she’s not, by the way), but this is the sort of thing Jen will be remembered for long after her popularity at the box office has declined.

(Not that that will be happening anytime soon.)

The impact that Lawrence has had on the young people she visits and their families is immeasurable.

Add to that the fact that there’s no telling how many millions of fans might be inspired by her stellar example and perform some of their own acts of kindness, and you start to get an idea of just how awesome Jen truly is.

We hear she’s not too shabby as an actress, either!

Ben Affleck: Did He Leave Rehab For Christmas? Is He Moving In With Lindsay Shookus?

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Ben Affleck had checked back into rehab, marking his third stint in an addiction treatment facility in 2017.

The decision to seek medical assistance reportedly came after a relapse that left friends and family concerned for the actor’s safety.

Ben has spoken openly about his struggles with alcoholism over the years, but news of his latest round of treatment became public knowledge only after the Oscar winner was spotted attending a group therapy session at a Passages facility in Malibu.

Reported reasons for the secrecy vary, but many believe Affleck has decided to eschew the traditional 12-step method of treatment in favor of Passages’ more personalized–and controversial–approach.

Given the timing of his treatment, fans wondered if Affleck would be able to spend time with his three children during the holiday season.

Many rehab centers strictly forbid patients from coming and going, but it seems Passages takes a more relaxed approach, as Page Six is reporting that Ben was indeed released from the facility to spend Christmas with his kids.

The outlet claims that Ben went straight from rehab to a home owned by his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner.

There, he celebrated Christmas with Garner and his three children, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5.

Ben apparently remained out of treatment for at least two days.

On Tuesday, he was spotted enjoying dinner with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus in Malibu.

Affleck reportedly remained sober throughout the meal.

Sources say Affleck and Shookus are still going strong and are currently planning a major step forward together as a couple.

According to Page Six, Affleck and Shookus, a producer on SNL, recently purchased an apartment together in 15 Central Park West, one of Manhattan’s most exclusive buildings.

Affleck will reportedly join Shookus in the new digs once he completes treatment.

A Boston native, Ben’s no stranger to the East Coast, but he’s spent most of his adult life living in Southern California.

The return east represents a major change for Ben, and while his relationship with Shookus has reportedly had a positive effect on his mental health, some are concerned that the 45-year-old is “pulling a geographic” and attempting to flee from his addiction.

Affleck’s three children will reportedly remain in the Los Angeles area, where Ben will continue to own a home and visit frequently.

Tiffany Trump & Ivanka Trump Say "Merry Christmas" in Bikini Video!

Ivanka and Tiffany are sisters. Their father might only find one of them hot, but they"re both beautiful.

So, politics aside, we can all take a moment to appreciate that they made their "Merry Christmas" video while wearing bikinis.

Nothing shows that you"re in touch with the American people like wearing a bikini in your Christmas video!

In recent weeks, Donald Trump proudly declared that America is saying "Merry Christmas" again.

Obviously, no one in the US has been prevented from saying "Merry Christmas." President Obama said the phrase countless times during his Presidency.

But some folks in Trump"s base recoil at the idea of someone saying "Happy Holidays," because God forbid (literally) that anyone should use inclusive language for the tens of millions of Americans.

("Happy Holidays" includes all holidays, including Christmas and New Years, and therefore almost everybody. When someone says that, it"s because they"re being thoughtful, not forced to at Evil Secular Gunpoint)

So it"s no surprise that when Ivanka and Tiffany Trump decided to record a holiday video, they were very specific about wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

In the video below, you"ll see Tiffany and Ivanka lounging in warmer climes.

(I"ve never understood why someone would waste winter weather by fleeing to the tropics, but whatever)

They both look gorgeous and Tiffany is seriously rocking that bikini.

They"re at the Palm Beach Club, so it"s not like they skated off to Australia.

The song to which they"re listening is reportedly "O Holy Night," which matches the angel wing filter that Tiffany applies to herself and her sister … but which ultimately only decorates her appearance.

Of course, it"s only Tiffany Trump who delivers the "Merry Christmas" line.

That might have something to do with Ivanka Trump being Jewish. Which may have made a lot of that Christmas rhetoric even more awkward.

But neither woman can help being Donald Trump"s daughter. No offense to anybody"s beliefs, but we don"t get to choose our parents.

And, though it appears that Ivanka may be complicit in her father"s alleged crimes (her husband, Jared Kushner, almost certainly is), we don"t imagine that she has much actual control over Daddy Dearest. No one does.

So, as problematic as the Trump family may be, you can separate yourself from politics long enough to appreciate a cute little holiday message … right?

Okay, confession time:

Do you folks remember Tiffany Trump"s single, "Like a Bird," which resurfaced last year?

My confession is that I liked it. It"s not a game-changing song that I can"t live without, but I liked it.

Even if you despise Donald Trump with a fiery intensity — as the majority of Americans do and as an even greater majority of humans do — you can enjoy his least favorite daughter"s song. Or how she looks in a bikini.

It"s possible, we promise.

On the subject of the Trump daughters.

There"s no telling how the Trump legacy will impact his family. We"ve already heard of Tiffany being "bullied" at Fashion Week, and she"s not even involved with the White House.

Trump is hated, but will he end up merely disgraced … or will he end up in prison? How many of his family members will join him? (And which will cut deals to sell him out and save themselves?)

We don"t know.

But whatever happens, does Tiffany — who, aside from her RNC speech, has barely been involved with her father"s putrid political career — deserve the same ire as her adult siblings and her father?

Kendra Caldwell: Pregnant and Smiling in Duggar Christmas Photo!

Even though Joy-Anna Duggar is still being hidden away by her own family, the Duggars are at least willing to put Kendra Caldwell on display.

In fact, this is the first image of Kendra that we’ve seen since her pregnancy announcement.

As you’ll see for yourself, she’s positively glowing, folks. And fans are demanding to see more of her. …

As we learned earlier this month, Kendra Caldwell is pregnant with Joseph Duggar’s baby.

She’s believed to be approximately three months along at this point.

Which means that the two of them worked fast in terms of getting pregnant — getting pregnant only a couple of months after they tied the knot.

We might not approve of how Joseph proposed to Kendra (maybe the family put him up to it, but you do not propose at someone else’s wedding), but the Duggars seem to approve of how quickly they’re getting the baby-making underway.

Kendra really does look beautiful.

And though this candid moment of opening presents (which you can see scattered around everywhere) isn’t exactly a posed portrait, you can see how excited this couple is to become parents.

(Also, let’s be honest: they were probably just enjoying opening their gifts. Even if the Duggars can’t really give out good things like “worldly” blu ray sets or whatever, presents are presents)

We’re not the only ones who were struck by how good Kendra looks.

As we mentioned, a lot of fans commented about wanting to see more of Kendra.

“Kendra is definitely glowing pregnancy suits her … I love these two I wish they had their own show.”

Another wrote:

“They need their own spinoff!!!!”

Kendra and Joseph don’t have their own social media account (and when they do, it will almost inevitably be one of those creepy joint-marital-accounts), but hopefully the warm wishes got back to them.

Highlighting Kendra during her pregnancy does, very naturally, bring to mind that Joy-Anna is being all but cloistered at the moment.

Even for the Duggar family’s big Christmas photo, Joy-Anna Duggar’s baby bump was hidden by the way that they had her pose.

It’s long been suspected that Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth violated the Duggar family’s absurd courtship rules by having (gasp!) premarital sex, but Joy-Anna claims that she got pregnant on their honeymoon.

So perhaps the Duggars were hiding Joy-Anna’s “shamefully” large baby bump?

Of course, if the Duggars were planning on hidding shameful things, they wouldn’t have put infamous child-molester Josh Duggar on display the way that they did.

But most of the Duggar family is controversial in one way or another.

That’s part of what makes them, as a whole, so captivating to viewers.

But whatever we may think of the family itself, Kendra Caldwell — who has only just recently joined the Duggar clan — looks absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait to keep up with her pregnancy as it progresses.

Jeremy Calvert Triggers Gun Debate with Controversial Christmas Gift

Jeremy Calvert did not give his four-year old daughter a Queen Else doll for Christmas.

He did not get little Adalynn a play kitchen or a few board games, either.

Nope. 

Instead, the Teen Mom 2 star presented the toddler with an actual rifle, the sort of weapon that one points at things and then pulls the trigger to shoot real bullets at those things.

Melania Trump: Slammed for "Disgraceful" Christmas Selfie

Donald Trump claims to have won the war on Christmas.

So now he can maybe turn his attention to the war against his wife.

Indeed, the First Lady is under attack at the moment after sharing a rather unique selfie on Instagram with her followers.

In an attempt to celebrate this special season, the 47-year-old tweeted the picture on Monday using a Christmas-themed filter that included a Santa Claus hat and dancing golden reindeer.

It was snapped at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s self-described “winter White House” in Palm Beach, where the first family is spending the holidays.

Before we move on to the criticism Melania has received for the snapshot, take a look at the image in question below.

What do you think? Can you see what the fuss is all about?

Trump simply wrote “#MerryChristmas” as the caption.

But others had a lot more to say.

Cried one Twitter user:

Disgraceful for a First Lady, Christmas or not. You look like a model on a photo shoot for the front page of Hustler.

I’m sure the elderly and poor will appreciate this photo given how you and hubby don’t care about them, only your millionaire friends at Mar-a-Largo.

Added another critic:

Incredibly tacky and an insult to the position of First Lady. #embarrassing #trumpba

It’s not too hard to see why people are having a problem here, right?

This picture does not exactly scream “CLASSY FIRST LADY!”

Then again, is it the job of a First Lady to be chock full of class at all times?

This isn’t the first time Melania Trump has garnered backlash in relation to Christmas.

Folks on the World Wide Web were equally savage about her holiday decorations this year, as she chose a different color scheme for inside the White House than one might expect for Jesus Christ’s birthday.

To wit:

After the White House unveiled this year’s Christmas decorations – a collection titled “Time-Honored Traditions” that included 71 wreaths, 12,000 ornaments, and 18,000 feet of lights – designed by Melania herself, trolls on the Internet deemed it creepy.

Like, VERY creepy.

But while Melania has also heard it from haters for certain pieces of attire she wears and for simply stealing from Michelle Obama, America doesn’t hate her as much as it hates her husband.

According to a recent CNN poll, 44 percent of citizens hold a positive view of the First Lady.

That’s considerably more than the percentage of rational people who hold a positive view of the President.

Overall, most voters just feel bad for Melania, who reports have indicated is very miserable at the White House.

No wonder she may or may not have hired a body double to stand alongside The Donald on occasion.

Rumors that Jenelle and David were on the verge of calling it quits began when he indicated as much with his Facebook activity. Fans pounced, and Jenelle quickly went into damage control mode.

Ariel Winter & Levi Meaden Flaunt Their Christmas PDA!

It’s been less than 14 months since Ariel Winter and Levi Meaden’s one-year anniversary, but that hasn’t stopped these two from looking super domestic.

They took pictures with a big ol’ tree. They took photos in matching Christmas onesies. And they took photos locking lips in front of their decorations.

‘Tis the season!

Ariel Winter’s always happy to celebrate the holidays.

Last October, we saw Ariel get into the Halloween spirit and out of her clothes. And that was before they dressed up in multiple different costumes.

So you can always count on Ariel to be seasonal … and, when it comes to her boyfriend, affectionate.

As you can see, they didn’t need any mistletoe to put them in the kissing mood.

That photo was shared to Snapchat.

As sweet as their kiss in front of that dazzlingly decorated Christmas tree is, we’d like to point out a couple of things.

One, Ariel Winter’s red dress is both in a perfect seasonal color and gorgeous.

Two, they have so many presents around that tree. They’re not under the tree, they’re forming a small ocean around it.

That’s what Christmas is all about. (Well, okay, also spending time with your loved ones, we guess)

As you can see, Ariel and Levi didn’t limit their affections to formal attire.

These Christmas onesies look adorable and comfortable.

(That said, folks, no matter how cute your onesies might be, don’t pressure your family members into wearing them for anything more than just a photo op — some people find them confining, or too warm)

Clearly, Levi and Ariel were feeling romance along with holiday cheer.

But they weren’t the only ones who wore matching outfits:

That is so cute, you guys.

(The “kids” to whom she’s referring, in case you worry that you missed a huge story, are these dogs. Like most Millennials, Ariel refers to her dogs as her children)

We love how domestic Ariel and Levi are as a couple. We also love their “dysfunctional family” and the fact that Ariel feels comfortable enough in their easy domesticity to write that.

This is a big time in Ariel and Levi’s lives.

Modern Family, which feels like it’s gone on for decades, won’t last forever. But Ariel has grown from a child star into an adult hottie before the very eyes of viewers.

Levi, in the mean time, has entered Ariel’s life and, despite their age difference, they’ve found love and comfort in each other.

In the next Pacific Rim film, Levi Meaden might get his big break — because he’s in that movie in some capacity.

That should hopefully lay to rest the rumors that Levi Meaden is just Ariel Winter’s kept boy. He’s not, folks. He has his own acting career and everything.

Duggars Hide Joy-Anna"s Baby Bump, Put Josh on Display in Bizarre Christmas Photo

It’s no surprise that the Duggar family loves Christmas.

Of course, they don’t celebrate the holiday the way that most Americans do.

As with just about everything else they do, the Duggars keep the focus on their religious beliefs, eschewing customary traditions and designing their festivities as a “birthday party for Jesus.”

But while they’ve been vocal in their criticism of the consumerism that they feel distracts from the religious significance of the season, the Duggars allow for some traditional celebrations.

They exchange gifts, enjoy a big family meal, and pose for an annual Christmas photo.

Of course, that last part doesn’t necessarily take place during the Christmas season.

As you can see in the photo below, it looks as though the Duggars posed for their yearly pic in the warmer months.

Aside from the weather, there are other indications that the photo is not a very recent one.

Josh and Anna Duggar welcomed a fifth child back in September, and as many fans have pointed out, the baby is nowhere to be seen in this year’s Christmas photo.

Of course, most of the fans who posted Josh-related comments were less concerned about the absence of his youngest child and more angry with the fact that he was included in the photo at all.

In the immediate wake of the Josh Duggar sex scandals, the disgraced former lobbyist was seldom seen on his family’s social media pages.

These days, he makes frequent appearances on the Duggar’s official Facebook, and many are concerned that that’s a sign of what’s to come.

But not everyone who dissected the movie under a magnifying glass took issue with the inclusion of Josh.

No, some focused on Joy-Anna Duggar and the way she’s positioned in the shot.

As you’ve likely heard by now Joy-Anna is pregnant with her first child, and there’s some debate as to how far along she is.

Joy says she got pregnant on her honeymoon, but many believe she actually got knocked up prior to marrying Austin Forsyth back in May.

If that’s the case, it would mean that Joy and Austin violated the Duggar’s famous rules of courtship.

The family’s efforts to remove Joy from the public eye and hide her baby bump in photos has only fueled speculation that the 20-year-old newlywed is misleading fans.

And then there’s the matter of Derick Dillard.

Dillard was recently fired by TLC after launching a homophoboic tirade against fellow network star Jazz Jennings on Twitter.

Many feel that Derick should be removed not only from the show, but from all Duggar-related media.

Clearly, the Duggars themselves disagree.

Yes, these days the Duggars can’t even post a Christmas photo without sparking numerous debates on social media.

It’s all in a day’s work for the ultra-conservative clan.

As normal a life as possible for someone commonly referred to as “Blanket,” that is.

The last time we saw Blanket was back in April when Paris posted a Snapchat update on her sibling, giving us a look at Blanket just chilling with some friends.

For the record, the identity of Blanket biological mother (a surrogate) remains unknown.

But we do know that Blanket was seven years old when his father died on June 25, 2009.

And we also know he hasn’t always been so close to Paris or other members of his famous, occasionally controversial family.

The source of Paris’ beef in the past actually centered around the treatment of her younger brother, specifically by grandmother Katherine Jackson, who has been accused of neglecting poor Blanket.

In October, questions abounded over whether Blanket had been left without a guardian.

Only in high school, the teenager is in need of, you know, someone to actually care for him.

And while Katherine had been placed in legal charge of her grandson, she’s 87 years old and spends a chunk of her time in London.

According to E! News, Katherine has basically retired from caring for Blanket, fearing that she’s no longer up to the task.

As a result, Blanket’s Aunt Rebbie and Uncle T.J. have assumed the bulk of the child-rearing responsibilities.

But fans are understandably concerned.

We therefore appreciate Paris providing Instagram followers with this quick update, even if she only wrote “happy christmas from ours to yours #brahdas” as a caption.

That doesn’t reveal a great deal about Blanket’s well being.

That’s fine, though. We don’t need to know every detail of his life.

It’s probably better for the young man to enjoy as much privacy as he is able to. And we really do wish him the best.

Kardashian Christmas Card: Unveiled! Controversial!

The Kardashians have once again made a statement with their annual Christmas card.

Yet the final product has mostly left fans scratching their heads and asking a question.

First, take a look at the 2017 card above.

Taken by photographer Eli Russell Linnetz, it was shared yesterday on Twitter by Kim Kardashian – and it features nearly every one of her relatives.

There’s Khloe and Kourtney, of course, along with mother and matriarch Kris Jenner.

There’s also Jenner’s own mom, Mary Jo Houghton, not to mention half-sibling Kendall Jenner.

And look at that! Kourtney’s kids – Penelope, Mason and Reign Disick – are making an appearance, joined by fellow young cuties Saint and North West.

The official version is the culmination of what Kim and company dubbed their very own 25 Days of Christmas, as they released various pictures and outtakes from the photo shoot throughout the month on social media.

To wit:

As you can see, Kanye West was very much involved in the pictorial… and yet was NOT depicted in the card itself.

We don’t know why.

Scott Disick isn’t included, either, but he isn’t technically family; and Rob Kardashian is nowhere to be found.

Come on, though, did anyone really expect the often-estranged Rob to front, center or even off to the side in the card?

What many folks DID expect, however, was to finally get a look at Kylie Jenner’s baby bump.

The pregnant 20-year old was not featured in any of the lead-up photos prior to this final release, prompting social media users to assume she would make her pregnancy reveal as part of the card.

That would have been a fun and unique way to do so, right?

For the entire family to be gathered around Kylie, pointing to her belly or something, as a way to confirm Kylie’s pregnancy?

Alas, this did not happen.

Kylie isn’t even in the card!

The only conclusion we can really draw from this is that Jenner really is ashamed of her body, as previous reports have stated.

We guess Kylie really is in hiding until her child is born – and fans aren’t happy about it.

“Maybe we should call the authorities because @KylieJenner is still missing from the damn Kardashian Christmas card,” one person Tweeted.

Added another: “I need to see the BELLY.”

And another: “Lmaoooooo THEY MIND F—KED US ALL MONTH LONG!!!!”

“What is this total f—kery they have done to us!!! C’mon @KylieJenner @KimKardashian we wanted Kylie on the damn 25th day!!!”

It’s worth noting that Kylie did spend Christmas morning with Khloe.

The latter (who is also pregnant!) shared the above Snapchat image with supporters on Monday, stating in a video that Kylie attended her mother’s Christmas Eve party and has very much been around this holiday season.

She’s just laying low, it seems.

And when she does show her face, she is NOT showing her stomach. It’s impossible not to notice that these days.

This is all well and good, of course. It’s Kylie’s body and her pregnancy and her news to deliver whenever she wants to.

She just has to understand that the longer she goes without doing so, the most people on the Internet will ask question and maybe even hurl insults.

We don’t encourage the latter act, but we do understand the former.

Kylie has spent her formative years sharing every last aspect of her personal life with followers… and now she chooses to be all private?!?

It’s hard not to conclude that she really isn’t very excited to be a mother, based on that simple fact.
