Human Ken Doll"s Nose Could FALL OFF on Botched!

Rodrigo Alves has undergone 51 cosmetic procedures and earned the nickname "The Human Ken Doll."

Whatever you might think of his personal choices, we can agree that Alves didn"t undergo all of these surgeries to come out looking like Lord Voldemort.

Unfortunately, as he learns in this appearance on Botched, that might end up being the case. Because his nose could atrophy and literally fall off of his face. Watch the video below!

Okay, so Rodrigo Alves is a British television personality.

He"s also probably exactly the sort of person who qualifies as a plastic surgery addict.

Like, we"re no experts, but … seriously.

That"s 51 elective procedures.

And apparently the last two procedures on his nose were so close together that they did some damage.

While Alves laments that his last rhinoplasty"s results were "perfect," it sounds like there was a serious complication.

And that"s why he"s on Botched.

Look, by its nature, Botched is full of horror stories.

That"s the show where we heard of Mama June"s terrible C-Section mishap.

There was a trans woman whose surgeon gave her unmanageably large breasts that she didn"t ask for.

Worst of all, one time Farrah Abraham was on Botched.

That memory still keeps us up at night.

But … we"re talking about a man"s nose turning black with atrophy and falling off like he"s a cartoon character.

The image is grotesque, but the risk sounds real.

When somebody"s face might pull a Sphinx if they make one more mistake with it, it"s not time to mince words.

"The issue is what we call the soft tissue envelope — that"s the skin," Dr. Nassif explains to a very worried Alves.

"So, by you having three surgeries within a period of 12-15 months, destroyed your tissue — the skin"s no good."

Just the thought of us makes our noses hurt in sympathy.

Up to a point.

Meanwhile, Alves himself notes that his friends never had problems but that he"s unlucky, so he keeps asking "why me."

Like … we know that the situation sucks, but maybe there are little kids floating on makeshift rafts to escape their war-torn homelands whose "why me?" questions carry a little more weight.

We"re not going to dive into deep theological questions of why bad things happen.

But we"re guessing that maybe Alves" friends spaced their surgeries out a little more.

"Your nose, on the inside … you have no airway," Dr. Nassif continues in the tone of carefully explaining to a student why their failure to show up to an exam resulted in such a bad final grade.

"And it"s short, so this is all scarred together."

Big yikes.

"And now, since you just had surgery three months ago, it"s going to scary again more. It"s in a healing phase."

Alves seems like he wants to protest, but the doctor keeps going.

"If you try to [do another procedure on] your skin now, while it"s healing, there"s a high possibility, that if you let one of these doctors touch your nose now, this will turn black and then die and fall off."

It"s pretty clear that the doctors, both Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif, are spelling it out for him to make sure that he gets it.

And they"re using dramatic language to do it, in almost a scared straight sort of effort.

But it sounds like it"s working.

It sure scared the crap out of us.

We hope that they can fix his nose, somehow.

At the very least, we hope that Alves will listen to the good doctors.

If not, he might end up playing the worst game of "got-your-nose" in world history.

Watch the video to see their exchange — and his nose — for yourself. The photos can"t do it justice.

CBS President Defends All-Male, Mostly-White Fall Lineup

CBS is the most-watched network on television.

But some folks out there are growing increasingly concerned about just what viewers are watching on The Eye these days.

Or, to be more specific, about just WHO viewers are watching.

cbs guys

For the second year in a row, CBS presented a group of new shows at its Upfront Presentation in New York City this week that was lacking in two departments:

1. Diversity.

2. Boobs.

Indeed, there are six new dramas and sitcoms on the network’s 2017-2018 schedule and five are led by a white male, while the sixth is led by an African-American male.

The new programs and their top-billed stars are:

  • SEAL Team, David Boreanaz

  •  S.W.A.T., Shemar Moore

  • Wisdom of the Crowd, Jeremy Piven

  • 9JKL, Mark Feuerstein

  • Me, Myself & I, Bobby Moynihan

  • Young Sheldon, Iain Armitage

What the heck, CBS? Where’s the diversity?!?

On Wednesday morning, a reporter asked CBS President Les Moonves whether it was really a sound strategy to not have a single female lead among his new crop of programs.

“We saw this with you guys last year,” the reporter asked, adding:

“Are you concerned, particularly in a medium like television where women watch more than men, that you have such a male-centered [lineup]?”

It’s true.

These were the faces at the forefront of CBS’ new shows a year ago:

cbs fellas

Replied Moonves:

“Well, number one, more women watch CBS, percentage-wise, than any other network, so our shows have a lot of female appeal.

“I don’t think we’ve ever had to apologize for having Madam Secretary and Lucy Liu [on Elementary], and The Good Fight [on CBS All Access] and The Good Wife.

“We do a number of pilots, a lot of them have women in starring roles. There are a lot of women on the schedule. The best pilots win at the end of the day.

“And we think our track record is okay.”

As we said, CBS is the most-watched network on television.

So this issue begs the question of whether it has a social responsibility to be more diverse…

… or whether the viewing public should shoulder some blame because, hey, they’re the ones tuning in to CBS in droves. What’s a network to do when it’s obviously fulfilling its goals of putting appealing shows on the air?

But this reporter pressed on.

“We’re at this point in the industry — FX, for example, is trying to make sure half its directors are female. It seems like you guys might be facing in the wrong direction?” she asked.

“I don’t think that’s the case,” Moonves shot back.

He then elaborated as follows:

“Let me put on my CEO hat for a second because I’m not the president of entertainment. When I look at the totality of what CBS is, I look at news, I look at daytime, I look at sports, I look at Showtime, I look at The CW.

“And when you look at the totality of that, I think we’re fine in terms of the amount of women who are behind the camera and in front of the camera. I think we’re doing a very good job.

“I don’t think we’re looking in the wrong direction, on the contrary.”

What do you think of this controversy?

Is it much ado about nothing?

Does a television network have a social responsibility of some kind? Or do they actually have a responsibility to shareholders, which means they should only focus on programs that are popular… and no network does a better job of that than CBS.

Tough questions.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Ratings Fall AGAIN: Is the End Near?!

Sad news for fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians …

Though thankfully, judging by the show’s ratings, there aren’t too many fans left.

Things are looking bad for the once mega-popular reality show. Real bad.

Beginning with the show’s 13th season premiere last month, the ratings began to drop. That show managed to pull in 1.48 million viewers then — a big drop from the 3 million people that used to tune in.

After that, the ratings dropped to 1.41 viewers, which seems significant, right?

But now the ratings are in for Sunday’s episode. And things are looking pretty darn dire.

The episode, all about Kim Kardashian’s desperate desires to have a third child despite her doctor’s warnings against it, only brought in 1.16 million viewers.

To put it simply, “yikes.”

According to an insider who spoke with Radar Online, “The show is getting less and less popular.”

“This is really scary because Kris and Kim and everyone have done as much as they could to drum up publicity for the show.”

And apparently, there’s not much left for them to do — if the big episode about Kim’s Paris robbery couldn’t entice viewers (and it couldn’t), then what could?

“The was the big episode,” the insider explained. “Nothing else they’ve got could probably top that.”

Really, it’s amazing that the show’s lasted as long as it has. It premiered in 2007, which means that it’s been a full decade that this family’s been in the spotlight.

As the years have gone on, the family has gotten more and more famous, meaning they can ask for higher salaries and additional security.

The Kardashian/Jenner kids have gotten married or gotten steady significant others, adding more cast members to the show, which, again, adds more salaries.

It’s got to be bleeding money at this point, but still, the family is trying to hold on.

“The entire family is completely freaking out right now,” a source has said about the situation. “They would not know what they would do with themselves if the show got canceled.”

We’ve also heard that Kris Jenner “blasted everyone” and gave them an “order” to “do things that their fans like” and to “interact with them, but do fun things so that people will watch them on social media and then they’ll tune into the show.”

There’s even been talk that Kourtney Kardashian is “livid” with Kim because “Kim seems to be completely over it because she seems to think that she will continue being super famous whether or not KUWTK is on the air.”

But that’s fair, isn’t it? Kim will likely always be famous, TV show or no TV show, and it makes sense that she’d want a quieter life after what happened last fall.

And goodness knows the rest of us would be fine without weekly reminders of this vapid, relentlessly dramatic family.

We just have to hang on a little longer, OK? We’re almost through this.

Former Bachelor Contestants Fall in Love... With Each Other!

Try telling Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon that one cannot find love on The Bachelor.

Granted, we’ve seen an endless number of couples fail to make it down the aisle after the man asked for the woman’s hand in marriage to conclude the latest season of this franchise.

But perhaps that was the problem all along:

Perhaps The Bachelor was not intended to match up a man and a woman, but rather a woman and a woman.

Marx and Scanlon met while filming the 2016 version of Australia’s The Bachelor.

They were both aiming to win over star Richie Strahan in the end.

As time went on, however, Megan and Tiffany found grew more attracted to one another, as they continued to post photos on Instagram together long after filming ended.

These photos would include captions that mentioned the other as “my favourite person,” and/or said “there are many things that I love but this is one.”

Was it possible that two women who signed on to find a husband ended up finding true love in a member of the same sex?

Yes!

On Monday, Marx shared a new photo on Instagram that seemed to confirm the pair’s romantic relationship.

“I met Tiffany in a very strange situation. Well…we were kind of dating the same guy…” the caption to it began.

We’ll just go ahead and let her take it from there:

And it was filmed and put on TV. From that first cocktail party, it was like this instant calibration between souls, as if we had known each other once before.

Friendship ripened into something bolder, trust in a very strange situation was formed, and now every adventure we have rivals the other- and continues to make plans for itself.

Yesterday I flew this beautiful woman to The Abrolhos islands for her 30th birthday! I have to admit that I felt so so proud to be with her, my favourite person, celebrating such a momentous occasion on the water- a mutual love of ours.

She is so confident in the ocean and in every adventure, as if every new experience is a winning of the lottery somehow; a chance to grow and learn and develop.

To Tiffany, experience wins over the worldly acquisition of ‘things’ every time- and I think this is why she is so open-minded, so accepting of others, so fun and so at ease with letting winds blow her towards a variety of opportunities.

She’s helped me to disintegrate many of the ideals I’ve had that were harmful (about relationships, about career and ‘stability’) and for that I feel set free.

Thank you for always asking questions (detective Tiff), for being curious about people, ideologies and the universe; for loving people with such a wholesome love that I don’t know if I would ever be able to emulate. It inspires me.

Happy Birthday Tiffany. I love you.

We don’t exactly have any more questions about whether or not these two are together, do you?

We watch The Bachelor online and/or on television often and we feel comfortable saying this may be the greatest love story ever told on the program.

Can you imagine if two women who met on the show fell in love in America?!? What would Chris Harrison say?

It would break the Internet as we know it.

Ferris Wheel Tragedy: 3 Girls Fall From Ride, 1 In Critical Condition

A ferris wheel at the Green County Fair malfunctioned on August 8th, causing three riders to fall thirty feet.

The victims were three girls – two sisters, age 6 and 10, and a 16-year-old.

The six-year-old remains in critical condition after suffering traumatic brain injury from the fall.

Yesterday, Johnson City Medical Center"s director of trauma services Dr. Bracken Burns updated reporters on her status.

According to Dr. Bracken Burns, director of trauma services for Johnson City Medical Center, the youngest of the victims, a 6-year-old, suffered the head injury and had to be intubated at the scene and taken to a hospital.

"She has been under the continual care of the pediatric surgery service, the pediatric intensive care unit team as well as the neurosurgery team," Dr. Burns explained during a press conference.

The girl"s older sister sustained injuries to her forearm.  The oldest victim"s condition has improved from critical to stable, though her family requested that further details not be released.

The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. local time, when police confirmed that the riders fell out of the car they were in when it flipped.

"One of the cars or baskets had overturned and three children had fallen out. They fell a distance of anywhere between 35 and 45 feet," Greenville police department captain Capt. Tim Davis told reporters, according to NPR.

One witness,Gregory Lynthacum spoke ABC News as well, recalling the horror he witnessed.

"I was hollering, "Please stop! Stop! Stop the machine!" It seemed like it was a millennium before it stopped," Lynthacum said.

"I"d seen blood coming from their mouth. I actually thought they were dead. It was so horrific."

Authorities have not yet figured out what caused the malfunction, but prior to the accident, the Greeneville Sun reported that the amusement company that owns the ferris wheel was fined for safety-related violations in North Carolina in 2013.

Family Attractions Amusement was accused of tampering with a ride"s "safety feature" after it malfunctioned, so that it would continue to run.

The accident occurred just one day after a 10-year-old Kansas boy was decapitated by a water slide.
