Jeremy Roloff: Forget Politicians, Only Jesus Can Save You!

Jeremy Roloff does not want to get political

Really, he doesn’t.

But the ex-Little People, Big World star felt a need to speak up this week on Election Day.

With millions and millions of people heading out to their voting locations this past Tuesday, Jeremy took to Instagram and actually discouraged followers from choosing between politicians.

Okay, that’s not entirely true.

But Jeremy definitely did not pull a Taylor Swift and endorse any candidates.

Nor was he one of the many, MANY people who shared their “I Voted” sticker on his social media account.

Instead, Roloff touted the help of his Lord and Savior and suggested that people turn to religion instead of politics if they really want to make a change in their lives.

“The political climate in America is suffocating, no one can deny that,” wrote Jeremy to open his semi-controversial message on November 6, adding by way of reassurance:

“And don’t worry, this isn’t a “political post.” But since it’s vote day, I thought I’d at least acknowledge the chaos.”

It’s more commonly referred to as Election Day, but we’re sorry. Go on, Jeremy…

“As we turn in our ballots today, remember, politics are not our savior, Jesus is,” he wrote, expounding as follows:

“No matter the political lean of your fellow American, treat them with respect. Don’t let your political passion outweigh your human decency.”

Jeremy and his wife, Audrey, have always been very open about their faith and their religion, of course.

The latter recently explained to fans all the lessons that God has taught her over the years.

Along similar lines, this is how Jeremy concluded his Election Day pist:

The tides of cultural morality are just that – tides. But we have a unwavering rock to stand on – the Word of God.

I’m not saying that the answer to measure 101 can be found in Habakkuk; what I’m saying is that we are carrying the name of Christ and His word has a lot to say about how we should conduct ourselves.

We cary His name, so let’s act like it.

Vote, research, stand up for what aches you, but don’t do it at the expense of the real cure – discipleship to Jesus.

It’s an interesting take.

We’re not sure if dedicating one’s life to the teachings of Jesus Christ means you can’t also be politically active, but we at least understand where Jeremy is coming from.

The former TLC star, sadly, will not be returning to Little People, Big World next season.

But he and Audrey have found new forums in which they can express views such as these.

Look for their memoir to be released in early 2019 and for their podcast to even hit your ear buds in the near future.

Find out the name of it HERE!

Tamra Judge Fires Back at RHOC Lawsuit: I Can PROVE Jesus Jugs" Husband is Shady!

Former Real Housewife Alexis Bellino and her husband got a divorce this year, and we even know how much Alexis is getting.

But Jim Bellino is suing Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador for defamation … and he’s demanding that they pay out $ 1 million.

Tamra is hitting back in court, saying that he can’t sue her for defamation … because everything that she said is true.

RadarOnline reports that Tamra Judge hit back at Jim Bellino’s lawsuit, asking the court to dismiss the case.

A court document reads: “Judge’s Statements Regarding Spousal Support and Plaintiff Being ‘Shady’ Cannot Support A Defamation Cause of Action Because It Is True.”

Shannon and Tamra had gossiped a little about Jim when discussing his divorce, but Tamra’s team argues that she didn’t say anything that wasn’t true.

“Plaintiff specifically requests spousal support in his publicly available divorce papers,” the papers argue.

The paper adds: “In addition, Judge’s statement that Plaintiff is a ‘shady motherf–ker’ is also not actionable because it is true.”

Tamra’s team didn’t make that assertion out of nowhere. They included some serious receipts.

“Shady means of doubtful honesty or legality,” the documents establish.

The document mentions: “Plaintiff accepted a deal with the government that gave him probation after he was caught in an FBI investigation for his sale of counterfeit sports memorabilia. (Beaudin Decl. at Exs. 14-15, 18.)”

There are several well-documented pieces of evidence that Tamra believes justify the assertion that Jim is “shady.”

There’s another example: “Plaintiff was sued for fraud, deceit, wrongful foreclosure, breach of written contracts, and other accusations in connection with his company’s foreclosure on a hotel property after receiving $ 2.13 million in a refinance loan. (Id. at Exs. 11, 14.)”

The documents continue to list that which they believe to be shady about Jim.

The papers mention: “He faced foreclosure on a home for delinquent payments and then turned around a purchased a more expensive home the next year. (Id. at Exs. 12-13, 16-17.)”

The documents accuse: “He also allegedly hired and failed to pay an interior designer that resulted in legal action. (Id. at Ex. 19.)”

Folks, please pay the people whom you hire to do work.

Tamra’s team asserts: “These actions all fall within the purview of being ‘shady,’”

Jim, however, continues to rail against both Tamra and Shannon.

“Tamra has slandered and defamed many people,” Jim claims. “This time she messed with the wrong person!! Shannon has severely lied about my business which affects my ability to support my family.”

“In their responses,” Jim continues. “Neither one of them addressed the true damaging statements they have made. It’s time someone puts a stop to their careless malicious attacks.”

Look, no one is accusing Tamra of being a good person. Her outrageous behavior has made her estranged from her daughter and has also made her into an unflattering meme.

But some feel that this lawsuit is weak, a huge overreaction, or even frivilous.

Their next court date is October 18, 2018.

Chrissy Teigen Perfectly Live-Tweets Jesus Christ Superstar

Jesus Christ Superstar is a decades-old musical (specifically, a rock opera).

The latest iteration of the trend of networks big, star-studded live performances of famous musicals was NBC putting on this show, which depicts the final weeks of Jesus" life, as an Easter special.

While Jesus Christ Superstar is sometimes controversial, particularly for its depiction of Judas as a tragic and even sympathetic character, the musical enjoys a great deal of popularity among both Christian and non-Christian audiences.

For this show, the titular role of Jesus fell to the phenomenal John Legend.

His wife, Chrissy Teigen, has been tweeting about this for weeks. Naturally, she livetweeted the entire show.

As always, her tweets are absolutely golden.

1. Chrissy Teigen was hyped, folks

Chrissy teigen superstar livetweet 01

She is also very straightforward about how little she knows about the story of Jesus.

2. Most of the show is music, with very little spoken dialogue

Chrissy teigen superstar livetweet 02

So there are a lot of songs for her to find exciting.

3. Chrissy can be a little mean sometimes

Chrissy teigen superstar livetweet 03

No one deserves to be compared to Milo.

4. Oh no, someone found him

Chrissy teigen superstar livetweet 04

No offense but … she’s right.

5. Ah, a birkenstocks joke

Chrissy teigen superstar livetweet 05

Though the show is traditionally full of anachronisms (part of the fun of musical theater), they are all wearing sandals.

6. Chrissy wasn’t super familiar with the plot

But that’s okay — watching any show for the first time can be an eye-opening experience.

Amy Roloff Prepares for Easter, Hears It from Jesus Fans

Without intending to do so, Amy Roloff has managed to make a plateful of cookies seem controversial.

The Little People, Big World star jumped on Instagram last week to share a delicious looking photo.

It features Amy sitting alone at a table, except for the yummy items in front of her; from mini muffins to some kind of bread and even a few painted eggs.

“I’m already planning for Easter,” she wrote to open a lengthy caption, continuing as follows:

“It’s a special time and celebration to me because what Jesus did! And I’m with my family. Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen is all about sharing what I love with you.

“Recipes, food and why I love being in the kitchen making delicious baked goods and meals. That gather people together and around the table.”

So… why the aforementioned controversy?

Because Easter is arguably the most sacred and important of all Catholic holidays.

It is meant as a celebration for the surprising resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And Amy is using it as a way to shill for her website and her company?!? Does she have no sense of decorum or respect?!?

So argues a few harsh critics, at least.

“Really, Amy?!? Must you exploit this holiday for your own selfish gain?” wrote one follower in response to this post.

The post, meanwhile, goes on a bit more:

I remember how I loved coloring eggs w/ my kids and hiding them before they woke up to find them. And making Easter baskets with something special in it that reminded them what Easter truly is all about. I

’d baked a lemon poppy seed bread (in photo) quiche, cheesecake, honey baked ham and other goodies for our meal. I get excited just thinking about it.

We get hungry just thinking about it.

But some get angry.

“Just stop, Amy,” said another hater. “Of ALL days, this one is not about you.”

In the past, Amy’s daughter also got dragged for using God and religion to pitch her own products.

Amy, meanwhile, typically hears it from trolls who don’t approve of her romance with Chris Marek.

But he wasn’t the source of contention this time around.

Concluded Roloff in her caption:

My kids are all grown up now and it’ll be fun to see them with their kids at Easter and start their own traditions. What are some of your Easter traditions and things you make? Check out Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen at www.amyjroloff.com.

Thank you for your support and encouragement. Have a wonderful almost Spring day.

Roloff also used the hashtags “#amyroloffslittlekitchen,” “#Easter,” “#celebratetraditions,” “#familylife,” and “#sharingourstory.”

What do you think of this scandal?

Is it really a scandal?

Is Amy just doing what any entrepreneur anywhere would do?

Or should Easter really not be a holiday that gets the hashtag treatment because it is too sacred?

We want to hear your opinion, readers!

Grey"s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 10 Recap: Personal Jesus

Wait a minute!

Who would have thought that Grey’s Anatomy would still be throwing crazy twists our way after fourteen years on the air?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 10 was filled with enough twists to last a whole season.

We picked up in the immediate aftermath of Paul Stadler being brought into the hospital after an alleged hit and run.

Jo and Alex were pleading innocence to Meredith who was floating the idea of them both fleeing to Canada in case they were arrested.

The surprising thing about it was that Jenny even thought Jo was the one to do it, and that set off alarm bells for everyone.

Paul’s condition, however, gave Jo and Jenny time to compare notes on the abuse they encountered at the hands of him.

It gave Jenny the courage to confront a bedridden Paul who lashed out at her in front of Jo and Meredith.

When he tried to get up from his bed to attack Jenny, he tripped and smacked his head on the bottom of the bed.

This rendered him brain-dead, and Jo was the one who got to decide to pull the plug on him, and his organs were donated for the greater good.

The moment Jo learned she got to be the one to pull the plug, she burst into laughter. It was poignant. She got to take down her abuser and no longer had to live in fear.

Meredith later confirmed that a drunk driver knocked Paul down so nobody had to make their way to Canada.

April was struggling to keep the faith after her patient, Eric died. The kid was shot by a cop while he tried to enter his own home.

Jackson backed April up several times as the police tried to get a statement from the kid before everything went South.

Things for April were far from over. Ruby, the woman Matthew moved on with after April left him at the altar a few seasons back, was in the hospital.

April helped deliver her baby, but the woman’s organs started failing. Ruby passed away, and Matthew was left all alone with the new child.

Earlier in the episode, he was talking about how much he loved her and how April leaving him was a blessing in disguise. April made her way to the bar.

That’s when the new intern, Vik got close to her and, well, we’re sure you know what happened next.

Will April be able to find her faith or has losing three people in one day ruined it for her?

Hit the comments below.

Grey’s Anatomy continues next Thursday on ABC.

Derick Dillard: My Kids Don"t Need Picture Books, They Need Jesus!

As we all know, Derick Dillard considers allowing trans kids to be themselves is “child abuse.” But have you wondered what he thinks good parenting looks like?

Apparently, he thinks that it looks like two incredibly bored children.

At least, Derick decided to read to his two very young sons the story of Jesus’ birth, directly from the Bible. No photos. And fans were quick to comment with their very strong opinions.

Derick Dillard captioned his photoset:

“Christmas Eve, reading the Christmas story with my boys. Doesn’t get much better than that! Thank you Jesus!”

For some families, that’s a tradition. For others it isn’t.

Though fans were divided, let’s start with the priase that he earned.

“Beautiful family. God bless you all!”

That’s sweet.

“You are such a great dad, Derick! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.”

We don’t know that a “great dad” would go on social media and repeatedly slam a teenage girl because he disagrees with her identity, but … well, he’s been fired for that.

“I’m not really a religious person. most normal everyday average people I know DO read the Christmas story out of the Bible on Christmas to their children and some not even really religious people do also.”

Interestingly, I’d personally never heard of that tradition, but I believe that plenty of folks do it.

“There is nothing abnormal,” that commenter continued. “About this and how they read the Christmas story Christmas Eve.”

That same commenter continued:

“I am sure the Duggars have children’s books as well but to come to someone’s page and tell them how to raise their children — takes much gall. Wow”

Another saw criticism of Derick and lashed out:

“Remember, you’re commenting with very sick, wicked souls! These people hate God, His Son Jesus Christ and God’s word. They’re just here to tear down anything Christian!”

That is the sort of paranoia that you see sometimes. If you believe that a critique of one man is an attack against an entire faith, you … probably need to relax.

Another affirmed that they thought that reading directly from the Bible is what they prefer:

“Some of us believe that straight from the Bible is best. Not watered down versions of the Christmas story. Some children’s bible books are excellent don’t get me wrong, however reading straight from Gods word every Christmas is an amazing tradition.”

Others chimed in, suggesting that reading directly from the Bible isn’t ideal with young children, especially when one of the listeners is a literal baby.

“Kids like kid’s books, not old fashioned text. fine if you want to read them the nativity story but at least do it in a format that they understand. kids like pictures.”

Children do enjoy picture books. Especially when they’re still learning words. (Again, Samuel is a literal baby)

“The whole situation is very creepy.”

That comment, we imagine, has less to do with the reading and more to do with Derick using it as a photo op.

“I bet these kids would appreciate having a dad who cares enough about them to get off his lazy butt and get a.job so he can support them as opposed to grifting clueless fans to support them.”

That, of course, is a jab at how Derick Dillard begs fans for cash. Especially now that he’s lost his spot on Counting On.

Another commenter chimed in:

“They aren’t in harm way they grift in Arkansas”

Others took issue with Derick Dillard’s parenting.

“Aww! It looked like Izzy was going to hug little Sam before his daddy pulled him away to make him listen to something he can’t fully understand yet.”

Israel and Samuel were clearly more interested in each other (awww!) than in listening to their father read.

“Why aren’t you acknowledging little Sam? Your arm isn’t even around him. At least Izzy and Jill love that sweet baby.”

Derick seemed invested in his little photo op.

“There are so many wonderful children’s books targeted to their ages, which would include pictures and be ever so much more appropriate for these two.”

If you’re going to do an activity with your children, it should be tailored to your children.

To their interests and their capabilities.

Even a baby as young as Samuel can look at a picture book, and maybe understand a few more words in the process.

Still, it seems like a harmless tradition, and some people — on both sides — got super worked up about it.

Maybe it’s because Derick Dillard himself is such a divisive figure? In which case, we’d question why he doesn’t lay low on social media for a while.

But then we remember that he likes to beg for money and then use those donated funds to go out to dinner.

Justin Bieber: All About "Following Jesus" These Days

Justin Bieber spent time with Selena Gomez this week, fueling speculation that he and his famous ex-girlfriend are back together.

This doesn’t seem to be the case, however.

Partly because Selena is in a committed relationship with The Weeknd; partly because we can’t imagine she would take Justin back after the way he treated her; and partly because Bieber is also in a committed relationship…

… with Jesus Christ.

We don’t mean to sound sarcastic or disrespectful.

It’s been reported for several weeks now by several outlets that Bieber is more focused on his faith than ever before.

Back in July, Bieber canceled the remaining dates on his world tour, allegedly due to his religious beliefs.

The artist has been growing especially close to Hillsong Church leader Carl Lentz for awhile, so much so that fans are worried Bieber will actually give up music for the church.

Referring to Bieber calling off a bunch of concerts this summer, an insider told TMZ the following at the time:

“He made his decision based on spiritual soul-searching and his own view of the path in life he should be taking.”

Hey, if Bieber is happy…whatever, right? That’s what matters.

Earlier today, meanwhile, the superstar made another reference to his faith and the journey he’s apparently on, thanking another church leader, Josh Mehl, for seemingly playing a role in turning his life around.

“I have learned so much from you, I’m a better man because of you,” wrote Bieber as a caption to the photo above, adding:

“I’m a better friend because of you. You have been a true example of what Following Jesus looks like and I’m so grateful I get to walk through this life knowing you!”

Pretty powerful stuff.

Just a few weeks ago, manager and close friend Scooter Braun gave an interview in which he detailed just how far Bieber really had plummeted following his drunk driving arrest and other run-ins with the law/paparazzi.

“It was worse than people realized,” Braun said. “I failed him day after day. We were living in hell because he was in such a dark place.”

The music insider said others in the industry told him to give up on Bieber because “the kid was done,” making it clear that Bieber perhaps really did need to change paths.

He was drinking a lot and partying all the time and his career was in danger.

So don’t get mad at Bieber for taking a break now.

Don’t pressure him to make new music.

It sounds as though he needed the guidance of a church and various religious leaders to turn his life around and it sounds as though he’s found that.

Just go ahead and wish him luck on his journey in that case.

That’s what we’re choosing to do.
