Jazz Jennings Previews Upcoming Surgery: "I Can"t Believe I’m Gonna Have A Vagina!"
Forgive the rather obvious pun, but…
… Jazz Jennings is rather jazzed about her upcoming surgery.
(We’re very sorry, but the terrible play on words was just sitting right there, you know?)
The TLC reality star, who anchors a series titled “I Am Jazz,” used her personal YouTube account late last week to preview a rather giant procedure currently scheduled for June 26.
It will officially, technically, medically turn her from a male to a female.
“I am so looking forward to it. I have been ready for this my entire life,” the transgender 17-year says in her video, speaking, of course, about gender reassignment.
This has been a major theme on her aforementioned series, which debuted in July of 2015.
In this same video, Jennings explains that she has decided to be open about the surgery in hopes that it will educate people both inside and outside of the transgender community.
And she’s very explicit in talking about what it will entail.
“I’m gonna have new genitalia,” she says. “Like penis to vagina! That’s some serious sh-t, y’all! I can’t believe I’m gonna have a vagina!”
Jennings has long been an advocate in the LGBT community.
She has found herself in the headlines over the past few months because Derick Dillard, who appeared on Counting On but who has since been fired by TLC, has often mocked and slammed Jennings for the way she lives her life.
“I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child,” Dillard randomly said last fall, adding at the time:
“It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on tv these days.”
Jennings never invited this sort of critique and is certainly not interested in Dillard’s pity.
She’s living her best life, thank you very much!
“What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality,” Dillard previously said, piling on an entire community of people by adding:
“‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”
SIGH.
But, hey, if Jazz can take the high road and basically ignore Dillard throughout this nonsense, so can we.
We’ll just focus on her latest video and the surgery about which she can’t stop talking.
“I have been looking forward [to the surgery] forever,” Jazz told us. “Even at a young age, I knew.”
She also says she’s excited for the procedure – but, as you might expect, also a bit frightened.
“Because I started the [testosterone] blockers so early that I never went through puberty…basically the blockers block testosterone in my body so I don’t develop as a male and get a beard, a mustache, a deep voice,” Jennings says.
“That’s why I’ve been able to be so feminine. Because of that, it caused me to be so suppressed that I didn’t have growth in ‘that’ region.”
In conclusion, Jazz goes over what’s about to happen in pretty fascinating detail, even if it may gross out some folks out there:
“Because there was a lack of tissue [down there] they didn’t have enough material to construct the entire vagina, so they’re using a special procedure where they extract my peritoneal lining.
“It’s regenerative, so it will regrow and what not.
“They take that out laparoscopically through my belly button or whatever. They use that and harvest that and use that to make the vaginal canal.
“It’s better because it looks like real vagina tissue and it feels more like real vagina tissue.”
Science, huh?

Kian Lawley: Fired from Upcoming Film for Being Very Racist
Move over, Logan Paul.
Another talent-free YouTube star would log to steal some of your negative headlines for a few hours.
Kian Lawley, a social media sensation with over 3.3 million YouTube subscribers and over six million Twitter followers for some reason, has been fired from the upcoming film adaption of “The Hate U Give.”
Per Variety, this is what a Twentieth Century Fox Films spokesperson said about the decision, which comes two weeks after a video surfaced online of Lawley saying lots of racist stuff:
Due to the controversy surrounding his past comments and behavior, Kian Lawley will no longer appear in The Hate U Give.
The studio plans to recast the role of Chris and reshoot scenes as needed.
The controversy cited above centers on a 12-second bleeped video on YouTube that made the Internet rounds in January.
It features Lawley very clearly using a racist slur and making other racially-offensive remarks.
“We’re all black drinking purple Kool-Aid and eating Kentucky fried motherf-cking chicken,” he says in the clip.

Lawley had been scheduled to appear in the aforementioned movie as the boyfriend of Amandla Stenberg’s character.
The film is a widely anticipated release because it’s based on a critically-acclaimed young adult novel by Angela Thomas.
It tells the story of a 16-year-old girl who feels torn between the worlds of her poor and largely black neighborhood… and the suburban prep school she attends.
She later witnesses the murder of her childhood pal at the hands of a police officer.
Such big-time names as Issa Rae, Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Algee Smith, Lamar Johnson and Common are also attached to the project.
Shortly after the scandalous footage went viral, Lawley apologized for the video, Tweeting:
“if u don’t learn from ur mistakes, u can never grow as a person.
“i’ve learned a lot & i am grateful to have the power to change. i never want to be who i was yesterday. we’re in a constant battle to become a better version of ourselves, use ur voice as ur weapon.”
He also now says he agrees with the studio’s decision to drop him from the film.
Said the young star in a statement:
“Words have power and can do damage. I own mine and I am sorry. I respect Fox’s decision to recast this role for The Hate U Give, as it is an important story, and it would not be appropriate for me to be involved considering the actions of my past.
“I understand the impact and I have grown and learned since then. From now on I plan to use my voice for positive change.”
However, just because Lawley has acknowledged his mistake and accepted his punishment, this doesn’t mean his fans have done the same.
Many have bombarded Thomas with hate in light of this recast.
“Y’all are screenshotting me and coming at my friends without knowing the details of the situation. There is so much more that you don’t know, and I’m honestly sad for you.
“But I’m unprofessional?” the author Tweeted this week.
As you can see above, it looks like Thomas has faced an onslaught of misguided abuse.
She’s clearly pained about what transpired with Lawley, but she also is clearly NOT the person to blame here.
Give her a break, Kian Lawley fans, and realize that your very own hero has taken some responsibility for his awful actions here.

Demi Lovato Will Offer Free Mental Health Counseling to Fans on Upcoming Tour
Generally, when we talk about Demi Lovato here it’s because she blessed the internet with another memorable swimsuit selfie.
But today, we’d like to take a moment to applaud Demi for providing an invaluable service to her legion of adoring fans.
Throughout her career, Lovato’s struggles with addiction and mental health have served as fodder for tabloid headlines, but while some stars might attempt to hide such troubles, Demi has embraced her struggle.
She openly discusses her painful past in hopes of serving as an inspiration to fans who might be struggling.
And now she’s going even further to ensure that young people who are experiencing the same problems she endured are able to receive the help they need.
Appearing on Good Morning America Wednesday, Demi announced that her new tour will feature group therapy sessions and talks from motivational speakers before the music begins.
“It’s basically like a therapy session before the concerts, and we have speakers from all over and we’re also helping out with different charities from around the country,” Lovato said in an interview.
“I actually have bipolar disorder, and I’m very open about that because I think that mental health affects so many people and we need to take the stigma away from it.”
Demi went on to speak about what she feels is her duty to the fans that made her famous:
“I think that it’s important for me to use my voice for more than just singing,” she stated.
“I just know how important it is to use my platform to help others and to share my story in hopes that it inspires people to either get into recovery or better themselves. Whatever it is, I just want people to know they’re not alone and I’m here for them.”
Thousands of fans have already taken to social media to thank Demi in advance for this important gesture.
In March, the singer will celebrate six years of sobriety following a struggle with drugs and alcohol that she says nearly cost her her life.
In the years since she got clean, Demi has become far more than just a singer to her millions of fans.
For many young people, she’s living proof that struggles can be overcome and there’s a light at the end of every tunnel.
Demi’s 2018 US tour kicks off in February.
She’ll play more than 20 shows in the next six weeks, and touch untold thousands of fans.

Khloe Kardashian: Terrified of Lamar Odom"s Upcoming Tell-All?!
Remember the good old days of Khlomar?
Sure, things ended terribly for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, and yes, it turned out that things were never actually that great for them, either.
Khloe has said that she managed to keep a lot of Lamar’s issues private for longer than we know, and they’ve both been open about how he cheated on her.
But still, there was a lot of love between them, and when things were good, they were so good, you know?
And that’s why it’s a little surprising that Khloe is reportedly freaking out about the possibility of Lamar writing a tell-all.
To back up a little, yes, Lamar has confirmed that he’s working on a book.
He told Hollywood Life that the book would be an “autobiography of my life,” and that he’s “looking forward to that.”
When asked exactly what would be included in his story, he said “Everything! Everything! Just everything!”
“Open about everything, everything that has been going on in my life! About the facts!”
He sure seems excited about it, right?
And goodness knows he has plenty of material.
He could write about his basketball career — several ups and downs there — and his troubled childhood.
He could write about his 2015 overdose, how he very nearly died in a brothel. We imagine that information could sell some copies.
He could also write about the Kardashians.
And that seems to be an issue.
According to a source, Khloe’s entire family is “very concerned about this tell-all book,” and they have “reached out to ask him to be respectful.”
“Lamar has spoken recklessly about her family in the past,” the source says, so “Khloe fears what major secrets he could reveal.”
“While Khloe and the rest of the Kardashians try to live a good life, they are no saints.”
… Is that supposed to be a shocker?
“Like any family,” the source continues, “they have skeletons in their closet which could seriously hurt their brand if revealed.”
Their “brand” was started with a sex tape Kim Kardashian made with Ray J. How much lower could they go?
Maybe Lamar knows that he’s usually a pretty sympathetic figure, and he has dirt on Khloe he could twist to his advantage.
Or maybe since he used to be so close with Rob Kardashian, he knows some things about him that the family wouldn’t really want to be made public.
It’s hard to say exactly what they’re afraid of.
It’s also hard to say whether or not Lamar will take it easy on them.
For the most part, he’s been nothing but respectful about the entire family — but he’s also been very honest about how upset he’s been about losing Khloe.
One thing’s for sure: we’ll be eagerly awaiting the release of any and all book Lamar releases from now until the end of time.

Farrah Abraham Replaces Jenelle Evans on Upcoming TV Show: Why?
Farrah Abraham is nothing more than an opportunist.
Put her in any situation and she’ll find a way to sway everything in her favor.
She can flawlessly make people think they’re in the wrong.
It’s quite sad, but it makes for great television and that’s probably why WEtv have snapped her up to appear on an upcoming series.
Family Boot camp offers counseling to warring families. If you watch Marriage Boot Camp, then you probably already know what it will be about.
If you recall, Jenelle Evans was originally meant to appear on the series, but there were a lot of things that led to Farrah getting her foot in the door.
Word is that there was some tension between the network and Jenelle because of the way things played out.
Maybe Jenelle was too busy taking her kid to the beach during hurricanes.
Her mother, Barbara Evans backed out, so that kind of ruined the whole idea in Jenelle appearing in the first place.
Instead, the network offered her to appear with David Eason in Marriage Boot camp: Reality Stars.
That did not sit well with Jenelle, who declined the offer.
How the heck did she expect to appear on the original series if she didn’t have Barbara on board?
With that said, Farrah was approached and was probably doing cartwheels with excitement at taking Jenelle’s place.
We all know what Farrah is like. She revels in annoying her peers.
That’s sort of what she does.
The funny thing about all of this is that Farrah was not the second choice.
According to Amber Portwood, she was actually the third.
Amber tweeted, before retweeting a fan who suggested she was talking about Farrah:
“I just passed on a certain show because of my surgery so they went to the 3rd choice to take my place..wonder who that was lol??”
“No shade…well maybe a little bit of shade haha,” she added.
“This would be the 2nd time this has happened…I love not being a reality show puppet.”
Portwood went on to say:
“I never strive to be a millionaire or famous I just want to make sure my family and future is taken care of and we’re happy and healthy.”
Basically, the producers knew Farrah would be a nightmare to work with and went to her as a last resort.
It should be interesting to find out just how terrible it was working with Farrah.

Blue Ivy Carter to Make Musical Debut on Upcoming Coldplay Album!
Blue Ivy Carter may not be able to tie her own shoes, but she already leads one of the most baller existences on the planet.

The girl gets custom-made clothes from the world’s biggest designers, then probably passes them on to her entourage when she outgrows them in a week.
She’s even got her first rap feud under her belt, thanks to Chris Brown’s claim that Royalty is the cutest of all the hip hop babies.
Obviously talent is no longer a requirement for being a celebrity (We’re looking at you, Kylie Jenner!), but Blue is making sure that she secures her spot as a future A-lister by becoming a more in-demand guest vocalist for top-selling artists than Nate Dogg was in his prime.
Okay, she’s hasn’t come that far quite yet, but Blue will be making her singing debut on Coldplay’s seventh studio album, due out next month.
Lead singer Chris Martin says it all started when the band brought in Beyonce for some cameo vocals on a track called “Hymn for the Weekend.”
Blue accompanied Bey in the studio, and naturally, the band couldn’t resist having her coo a few bars.
The album also features guest performances from Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as his current girlfriend Annabelle Wallis, because apparently, this record is some sort of social experiment in which Chris Martin attempts to find out how awkward he can make his life.
Hey, it might’ve been weird to make, but we’re sure it’ll go multi-platinum.

On Monday, Destiny Child’s former manager Mathew Knowles revealed to fans that a reunion may be in the works for the iconic girl group. YAS!

He shared:
“I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour. I’m working on a few Destiny’s Child projects right now.”
AH-Mazing! We almost lost our minds when Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams had a mini-reunion as they crooned for the X Factor judge’s son, Titan. Ahh!
So, we’re prepared to lose all of our chill if an official reconciliation occurs! We mean the ladies did all sing together on Miz Williams’ gospel track Say Yes and even performed it at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards earlier this year. LOVES it!
Unfortunately, it appears that the new DC material currently in the works seems to be more about Mathew and less about the ladies.
He continued:
“My second book will be the autobiography of Destiny’s Child. I’m talking to the film and TV community right now, regarding a Destiny’s Child movie or TV series of some sort.”
Whoa! A biopic about the Grammy winners could be FIERCE — Beyonce could play herself if she wanted too! The music manager even relayed that these projects might come about in the next two or three years.
How exciting!
Still, we’ll wait for confirmation regarding any upcoming music from the powerhouse trio directly since the Single Ladies singer is no longer represented by Blue Ivy‘s grandad. Hmm, very inneresting.
But hey, what’s one little reunion tour?? It’d be a good way to pay those Bills, Bills, Bills (sorry we had to).

Michelle Obama Set To Appear On Upcoming Season Of Project Runway Junior!
Looks like somebody is trying their hand at reality television!
Michelle Obama is going to appear on the upcoming season of Project Runway Junior!
The fierce First Lady will be gracing our TV screens by challenging the aspiring fashion designers — ages 13 to 17 — to create a garment that will be sold on Land’s End‘s website.

Mrs. Obama’s challenge will actually support her Let Girls Learn project, which — with the help of the Peace Corps — helps young girls around the world receive an education!
