Jim Carrey Defends Kathy Griffin: She"s a Comedian!
The internet has had a flurry of different emotions to Kathy Griffin’s fake beheading of Donald Trump.
Being a comedian himself, Jim Carrey has opened up about his thoughts on that gruesome imagery, and he seems to be team Kathy.
“I think it is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times — because that line is not real,” Carrey, 55, explained.
“If you step out into that spotlight and you’re doing the crazy things that [Trump is] doing,” Carrey continued, “we’re the last line of defense. And really, the comedians are the last voice of truth in this whole thing. It’s impossible to get away from it.”
Carrey then went on to say that he had a vivid dream recently, and, well, basically said he could have killed Donald Trump in it.
“I had a dream the other night I was playing golf with Donald Trump,” he recalled.
“I was standing beside him with a club in my hand, and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up.” “It was one of those dreams where you just want to get back to sleep so you can finish it, you know?” Carrey added.
Yikes.
In the wake of the picture going viral across the internet, Kathy was quick to apologize for her role in the shocking imagery.
“I sincerely apologize,” Griffin said. “I’m just now seeing the reaction to these images. I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I moved the line, then I crossed it. I went way too far.”
That apology was still not enough for Kathy to keep her lucrative job at CNN, and she was fired. Even her former co-host Anderson Cooper chimed in on his thoughts on the matter via Twitter.
“For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
There is even word that Barron Trump was watching TV with Melania and that he thought the images were real. It was such a horrible turn of events, but something tells us Kathy will be more mindful with her jokes going forward.

Piers Morgan Gets DESTROYED by Comedian Jim Jefferies: Watch!
So hey, don"t know if you heard, but Piers Morgan has been quite the douchebag lately.
See, Piers won a season of The Apprentice a few years back, so he"s friendly with Donald Trump. And, as such, he"s been feeling the need to stand up for him now that he"s destroying the entire country.
(Well, there"s that, along with the fact that Piers just seems to enjoy being terrible, but we"ll focus on the Trump connection for now.)
Last month, after the super successful Women"s March, he made some ignorant comments about how he wanted to plan a "Men"s March" so he could "protest at the creeping global emasculation of my gender by rabid feminists."
What a loon, right?
But in a new appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, he just got worse.
The topic of Trump came up, and Piers immediately got defensive. Bill began to set him straight, bringing up the Muslim Ban, and Piers said that there is no Muslim Ban.
And comedian Jim Jefferies, who was also on the panel, let out a hearty "F-ck off."
"You say "He hasn"t done this, he hasn"t done that, he"s not going to do all these things,"" Jim continued. "Give him a f-cking chance, mate."
Because, as he added, "Hitler didn"t kill the Jews on the first day — he worked up to it."
Piers attempted to jump in again, calling that kind of talk hysterical and over-the-top, but Jim cut him off by telling him that he just likes that he has "a famous friend" in Trump.

Ricky Harris Dies; Veteran Comedian and Actor Was 54
Hollywood has lost another star.
Ricky Harris, a comedian known for his racy routines and an actor known for appearing in surprisingly friendly family fare, was found dead this week.
He was 54 years old.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Harris’ manager confirmed the passing of this beloved stand-up, adding that he suffered a heart attack two years ago.
The cause of death, however, is not known at this time.
Well known and respected around the world of comedy, such heavyweights as Sinbad and Cedric the Entertainer took to social media on Monday night to express their shock and send their condolences.
“Devastated!!! #RIP to the One and Only #RickyHarris,” wrote Cedric online. “Always been a super solid dude.”
Harris rose to fame in the 1990s as a performer on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” He often referenced pop culture touchstones, such as sound effects and movie sex, on stage.
A versatile talent, Harris made his acting debut in the 1993 drama Poetic Justice opposite Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur.
Two years later he appeared in Heat, a heist flick directed by Michael Mann that featured Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro.
On the small screen, Harris made appearances on such hits shows as Moesha and Everybody Hates Chrid, portraying the charming neighborhood pal Malvo on the latter.
Having grown up in Long Beach and actually sang in the choir with Snoop Dogg, Harris also made a name for himself by performing raunchy skits on his friend’s albums.
In response to Harris’ death, the rapper shared a brief, mournful video on Instagram that referred to Harris as “my big brother, my homeboy” and a “Long Beach original,” saying that he was “on his way to heaven now.”
The video simply features an emotional Snoop Dogg talking into the camera.
Snoop later added an Instagram photo of Harris and the message:
“C u when I get there like we used to do in church on the east side tell Nate to hold my note.”
Ice Cube also chimed in on the sad news via the following Instagram posting:

While perhaps not on the same level of fame as the others we’re about to mention, Harris’ death adds to the long list of celebrities who left us in 2016.
They include Prince, David Bowie, Gene Wilder and, on Christmas morning, George Michael.
Harris is survived by his mother, his ex-wife and two daughters.

Doug Stanhope: Comedian Criticized For Response to Girlfriend"s Coma
Doug Stanhope is one of those comedians that you either “get” or you don’t.
To describe Stanhope’s humor as dark would be like describing Schindler’s List as a mild bummer.
His standup routines make the gnarliest segments on Tosh.0 look like a family-friendly tight five from Jeff Dunham, and he’s a firm believer that there’s no situation too bleak to laugh about.
Stanhope has mined real-life incidents like his own mother’s self-administered euthanasia for laughs, and the amazing thing is – he pulls it off.
This is a man who could “go there” on any taboo topic under the sun and his cultishly loyal fan base would follow him into the depths of human experience with complete faith in his ability to point out the glints of humor.
Unfortunately, a recent near-tragedy brought Stanhope attention from outsiders who are now being exposed to the comedian’s jet-black brand of humor for the first time – and not surprisingly, some folks are finding his jokes don’t quite turn their crank.
The story goes: last Sunday night, Stanhope’s longtime girlfriend Amy “Bingo” Bingaman was preparing for her 40th birthday party when she suffered a cocaine-induced seizure and cracked her head open on a cement step after falling backwards.
She was rushed to a Bisbee, Arizona hospital, and Stanhope was under the impression that she would require a few stitches and be back later that evening.
Upon learning that she had been helicoptered to nearby Tucson in a coma, Stanhope reportedly quipped, “Just when you thought Bingo couldn’t make this party any more about her, she pulled it off.”
(Like we said, bleak stuff.)
Stanhope cryptically confirmed the news of Bingo’s medical emergency on Twitter, informing his fans:
“BTW, Inappropriate jokes as welcome as hopes,prayers, wishes. And I will put her in my death pool on trade round just to prove no hypocrisy.”
And with that, he was off:
Stanhope also took time to respond to fans who offered support or inappropriate humor.
And, of course, he didn’t do so in the way you would expect from a grieving celeb:
During an appearance on friend Joe Rogan’s podcast, he offered more details about Bingo’s condition (It seems she very nearly required surgery to have part of her skull removed.), and opened up about the hours following her grim diagnosis.
Basically, Stanhope and his friends coped by doing the remainder of Bingo’s blow, singing karaoke and hanging with Marilyn Manson.
Stanhope is friends with Johnny Depp, and the party eventually wound up at one of the actor’s homes in LA.
It would have all the makings of an amazing weekend, were it not for the comatose girlfriend part.
On social media and comment boards across the Internet, there’s been much gasping and pearl-clutching in response to Stanhope’s running commentary on Twitter.
The above and below tweets in particular seemed to draw a lot of ire.
Thankfully, in a miracle worthy of Lazarus or Lamar Odom, Bingo has now awoken from her coma and is able to communicate with family and friends.
Stanhope offered the following updates on Twitter over the weekend:
“Dunno if you’d call her first poop in 6 days “progress” but her father described it as “an event.” Send more mops!”
“‘Bingaman spoke in/ Claaass today’ Got some words & opened her eyes a few times on her own. Long way to go but all far more hopeful today.”
“BREAKING NEWS: SHE JUST JUMPED UP , SAID “I GOTTA PEE!” THEN PEED AND WENT BACK TO SLEEP! I’M GONNA GO HIGH-FIVE STRANGERS IN THE LOBBY!”
Even if his humor doesn’t do it for you, you’ve gotta admit that the man has a preternatural talent for finding the laughs in desperately sad situations.
Or maybe you don’t.
We doubt he cares much either way.

Kevin Meaney Dies; Beloved Comedian Was 60 Years Old
Kevin Meaney, a veteran stand-up comedian and occasional actor, was found dead on Friday at his home in Forestburgh, New York.
He was 60 years old.
Agent Tom Ingegno says Meaney’s cause of death wasn’t immediately known.
Meaney had been scheduled to perform Saturday night in Rhode Island, according to his official website.
Following his first HBO special in 1986, Meaney was thrust into the spotlight, debuting on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1987.
He would appear on the iconic late-night program over a dozen times.
Meaney also starred in the CBS sitcom Uncle Buck, which ran for one season in 1990 and appeared on Saturday Night Live.
Additionally, he guest-starred on 30 Rock and 2 Broke Girls, played a role in multiple HBO specials and lent his voice to animated fare such as Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, Garfield and Friends and Mad Jack the Pirate.
Fellow comedians were quick to offer condolences on Twitter after news of Meaney’s death broke.

Comedian Gets World"s Most NSFW Donald Trump Tattoo
Lots of people have tattoos that they regret. Maybe it’s the name of an ex-lover, or a band that stopped being cool the year you graduated high school.
But it’s possible that no one on the planet is rocking ink as unfortunate as Elijah Daniels’. But the funny thing is, the up-and-coming comic doesn’t seem to regret his decision at all:

You see, Daniels promised his Twitter followers that if he reached a certain number of retweets, he would get a tattoo of Donald Trump fellating a disembodied dong on his ankle.
The people came through en masse, and after the tweet was shared over 6,000 times, Daniel made good on his word.
Daniel says the ink wasn’t actually intended to make a political statement but was more his way of letting the whole world know it can kneel down and polish his knob.
“The political statement I’m making is suck a dick,” Daniel said in a recent interview. “That’s my political views.”
“Yeah, not just to Trump, just to everyone. Suck a dick. Take it in any way.”
Daniel has also written a Trump erotica entitled Trump Temptation: The Billionaire and the Bellboy, which you can actually purchase on Amazon right now.
What a time to be alive.
Surprisingly, Daniel says he has no disdain for the presumptive GOP nominee, and he in fact meant for his tatt to be taken as a kind of tribute:
“He’s just an asshole. He can take a joke, it seems like, so I like to f–k with him,” Daniel says.
“At this point, though, I’ve had enough good sh-t happen because of Donald Trump that it’s like, I’ll get a tattoo of you.’ It’s like a sh-tty ex-boyfriend you have a tattoo of. You think, Well, you were sh-tty, but I’m not going to get it covered up, because it was a good time.”
We’re guessing the Donald doesn’t find the situation very funny, but turnabout is fair play.
After all, there’s nothing not a damn thing humorous about Trump claiming his eponymous tower has the world’s best taco bowls.
That’s just plain ridiculous and wrong.

Bill Cosby Admits to Sex With Teens; Comedian Will Be Forced to Stand Trial
After 18 months and dozens of shocking accusations, it now looks as though Bill Cosby will be forced to stand trial and answer for the claims of one of the many women who say they were sexually assaulted by the comedy legend.
Cosby was arrested in December after the Philadelphia DA determined that the 78-year-old was not protected by the statute of limitations in the case of Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee who claims that Cosby attacked her in 2004.
Constand successfully sued Cosby in 2005, and the testimony given during the trial was recently unsealed – and it could land Cosby behind bars for up to ten years.
Records that were made public last year revealed that Cosby admitted to drugging women with the intention of having sex with them while they were unconscious.
He stopped just short of admitting that he proceeded to have sex with the women.
Now, TMZ has obtained additional documents that reveal that Cosby admitted to sexual contact with multiple teenagers during his civil trial testimony.
“She’s 17 and I believe throughout the time she knows you she becomes 18 or 19. On a later occasion you had her masturbate you with lotion. Did that ever happen?” attorneys for Constand asked at one point.
Cosby answered simply, “Yes.”
The woman was reportedly an escort that was sent to the set of the Cosby Show by the agency she worked for.
Cosby admitted to having sex with at least one other teen prostitute during the time that he starred on the beloved sitcom.
He says he paid the girl extra so that she would not tell his wife about his infidelity.
Now, District Judge Elizabeth McHugh has determined that the testimony gives probable cause that the sexual contact between Constand and Cosby constituted a criminal act.
Cosby has repeatedly claimed that all of his sexual activity with Constand was consensual.
At least 58 women have accused Cosby of some form of sexual impropriety, but thus far, only Constand’s accusations fall within the statute of limitations for such crimes.
Cosby is due back in court for an arraignment on July 20.
