Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Got TWO Perfect Scores?!

One duo has emerged as the ones to watch as we approach the conclusion of Dancing with the Stars Season 25.

They managed to score two perfect scores, solidifying their status as the best dancers in the competition, but who lost their place in the competition?

Was it another shocking elimination?

Let’s break down the performances!

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke Charleston – “Bad Boy, Good Man” by Tape Five (feat. Henrik Wager)

Terrell Owens had a lot to prove on the episode. He needed to prove that remaining in the competition was the best move, and nothing could prepare us for his fast-paced moves.

Despite a hiccup in rehearsals, it was a wonderful performance that solidified his status as a competitor.

Score: 27/30

The trio round found the duo joining forces with Kelly Monaco and performing the Ruma to “Slow Hands” by Niall Horan. It did not work as a trio number, and it proved that sticking to a duo is still the best way to go.

Score: 24/30

Drew Scott and Emma Slater – Waltz – “Both Sides Now (Torch Songs)” by Years & Years

Drew and Emma have been all over the place throughout Season 25. Every time it seems they are ready to become contenders, they find themselves put back down the leaderboard.

Their most recent performance was not great. For this part of the competition, they should be doing better. Drew’s confidence is rearing its ugly head, and that will likely send them out of the competition quickly.

Score: 22/30

Rashad Jennings joined them for the trio round, and they performed the Cha Cha to “Get Up Offa That Thing” by James Brown. It was a much better performance. But Drew struggled to keep up, and they were gifted with a better score than they should have been.

Score: 25/30

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy – Argentine Tango – “Down” by Marian Hill

Victoria wanted to prove that she was a worthy competitor to win the trophy, and that involved her oozing some sex appeal into her performance.

The performance was decent, but it was very clear she was uncomfortable, and that hindered them from emerging from the pack

Score: 24/30

Laurie Hernandez joined forces with them for the trio round, and they performed the Jive to “Magic” by B.o.B. This one was intriguing because Laurie and Val won together.

There was a severe lack of fluidity from Victoria, and that could prove detrimental to her winning the whole competition.

Score: 24/30

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas – Samba – “Morning Drums” by Gregor Salto

Lindsay was a woman on a mission during the latest episode of this ABC juggernaut. She was ready to prove that she could rise from the doldrums, and she did so in winning fashion.

Her pain appears to be well and truly gone, and her performance with Mark benefited from it. Their timing was on point, and that’s the most integral part of the competition.

Score: 26/30

Kristi Yamaguchi returned to the stage after nine years for the trio number, and it was a resounding success. They went with the Jazz to “Let’s Face the Music and Dance” by Seth McFarlane.

Everything felt very fluid, and the three danced very well.

Score: 28/30

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson – Viennese Waltz – “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran

Frankie’s dancing has been up and down over the past few weeks and he wanted to come out roaring after his Halloween spectacular. While it was fun, it lacked the finesse of their previous efforts.

Score: 26/30

Alfonso Ribeiro joined in the fun at the trio round. They performed the Jive to “Good Place” by Leo Soul. Alfonso noted straight off the bat that Frankie needed to be more confident if he wanted to win the competition.

These words of wisdom helped and Frankie emerged as the best part of this trio.

Score: 27/30

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold – Quickstep – “Chuck Berry” by Pharrell Williams

Jordan has already proved that he is the best dancer of the season, and the judges were enamored with his latest performance. Knowing a thing or two about dancing works wonders.

The performance was one of the best of the season.

Score: 30/30

Fellow Disney actor, Corbin Bleu joined them in the trio dance. They all got along like a house on fire and Lindsay wanted to make sure they were all on the same page.

All three of them were in sync, and the judges lapped up the performance. It was delightful.

Score: 30/30

Terrell and Cheryl and Frankie and Witney were revealed to be in danger. Yes, we were shocked to the very core about Frank and Witney, but they lived to dance another day.

Terrell and Cheryl lost their place in the competition!

What did you think of the dances?

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Got the First Perfect Score?

Disney Week made its way to Dancing with the Stars, and there was no fairytale ending for the celebrities on this special night of the ABC reality series.

With one couple definitely going home, tensions were at an all-time high, but one couple managed to get a perfect score, so it wasn’t all bad.

Let’s briefly break down the performances of the night, so we can establish who did not make it through to the next heat of the competition.

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy

After emotions ran a little too high, this performance was all about bringing the fun back to the forefront, and that was a good thing. You could tell Victoria was in a much better place than she was last week. They threw it all the way back to 1928 for a homage to Steamboat Willie.

She and Val fit together like a glove, and their performance was a well-choreographed one that proved they have been taking feedback on board.

Score: 27/30!

Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy:

Vanessa and Maks have been solid dancers all season long, and despite some alleged behind the scenes drama, they do work well together.

However, they aren’t exactly offering anything new with their performances. With some of the other couples going from strength-to-strength, this pair appears to be stuck in a rut.

That’s not to say their waltz was terrible. They just need to change things up a little.

They could have done so much different with their Snow White and the Seven Dwarves inspired performance.

Score: 24/30!

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas

Lindsay claimed she always wanted to be a Disney princess, and it sounded like the judges agreed that she would make a great one.

The jazz from the couple won rave reviews from them, and Len even handed them out a 10. When does that ever happen with Len? He’s always got something negative to say.

Score: 28/30!

Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd

Being at the bottom of the scoreboard is not the best place to be, and Nick knew there was a lot riding on his performance. The couple performed the quickstep, and you could tell it took its toll on Nick.

The Jungle Book is a great movie, and now, we will probably never watch it again thanks to Nick’s wooden performance.

By the end, he looked like he wanted to take a nap on the stage, and the judges picked up on it.

Score: 22/30!

Drew Scott and Emma Slater

Drew and Emma have had a lot of chemistry going for them since the season kicked off, and that always seems to go in their favor. The went with a fun performance inspired by The Muppets Movie.

The waltz garnered them some praise from the judges, and they really deserved it.

Score: 25/30!

Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko

This duo went with the rumba inspired by The Little Mermaid, and it was a delight. Sasha struggled with nerves earlier in the season, and has been improving every single week.

The judges took note, with Carrie saying she was “mesmerized” by the whole display. Even Len gave another positive comment. What’s going on?

Score: 24/30!

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke

All of the performances seemed much better than recent ones, and Terrell’s was inspired by The Lion King. The whole performance was full of memorable moments, and Terrell managed to dance very well given the big height difference between him and Cheryl.

They secured their highest score of the season, and it was well deserved.

Score: 25/30!

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson

While his short-term memory may not be all that, Frankie’s short-term one is good because he continues to be one of the best dancers. The duo went with a tango to The Pirates of the Caribbean.

The performance would have definitely secured a perfect score had Witney’s heel not caught in her dress.

Score: 29/30!

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold

Jordan knows a lot about Disney, and that’s because he has been in the family for a long time. He performed a foxtrot to his song “You’re Welcome” from Moana.

It was flawless, and the judges seemed to think it was the best performance of the season. They were right. It secured them a perfect score.

Score: 30/30!

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev

Nikki went with the upcoming move, Coco, as her inspiration, and it was a refreshing mix of style, confidence, and chemistry with Artem. It was a real surprise, and Len called it Nikki’s best dance yet.

Score: 27/30!

Sasha Pieterse & Gleb Savchenko, and Frankie Muniz & Witney Carson found themselves in the bottom two. No, that’s not a joke. In the end, Sasha and Gleb were sent packing.

It’s not up there with the Heather Morris elimination, but it sure was shocking. Nick Lachey should have been the one to go!

Leah Block Apologizes For Racist Bachelorette Tweets After Perfect Rachel Lindsay Response

You don’t need The Bachelorette spoilers to tell you that race would somehow come into play this summer on ABC’s reality dating staple.

On cue, The Bachelor contestant Leah Block is apologizing for racist comments she made about the current season this week.

If you didn’t see what she wrote on Twitter, prepare your forehead for the inevitable slap, because it’s very likely happening.

The current season features the franchise’s first African-American lead in Rachel Lindsay, and a much more diverse cast than usual.

With that obvious context, Block tweeted Monday:

“I’m sitting here watching @BacheloretteABC and my roommate just sat down on the couch and said, ‘What is this? @LoveAndHipHop?’ DEAD”

DEAD?

Bachelor Nation didn’t take kindly to the reference – apparently in the pejorative – to the VH1 reality show and its entirely black cast.

One alum, Astrid Loch, asked Block if she was watching with Lee Garrett, one of Lindsay’s suitors who’s been accused of racism himself.

Lindsay then chimed in by responding to Block’s tweet directly, and referencing Garrett, writing, “Let me know if she wants to meet Lee.”

“They sound like they would have a lot in common.”

Wow. After that response from Rachel, Block later deactivated her Twitter account altogether and set her Instagram to private.

All of this took place while topic of race became the center of discussion on Monday’s episode for the first time this season.

“The pressures that I feel being a black woman, and what that is … I don’t want to talk about it,” Lindsay told the producers.

“I get pressured from so many different ways being in this position, and I did not want to get into all of this tonight.”

“I already know what people are going to say about me and that they will judge me for all of the decisions I’m making.”

“I’m going to be the one that has to deal with that – nobody else,” she said, at her wit’s end. “And that’s a lot.”

As for Block, she apparently got the message, and addressed her controversial tweets in a letter to her Facebook Wednesday.

“I come forward honestly and openly, to extend my sincere apology for the tweet from my account on Monday, June 19,” she began.

The tweet in question stemmed, she said, “from a place that humored the failure of representation of minorities in reality TV.”

That wasn’t how it came across, she acknowledges, and instead, she simply “belittled the significance of Rachel’s presence on the show.”

“I acknowledge that entertaining this kind of humor is a passive and careless action that stifles the progress the black community has made.”

“It is vitally important to prioritize these experiences and help destroy the oppressive forces that threaten minority communities.”

“My tweet did neither of those things and I see that as a personal failure [and] in my initial Twitter responses … I was defensive.”

“The attacks directed at me felt to be responses to the epidemic of injustice we have towards individuals of marginalized identities.”

“Especially the black community. I accept responsibility for my ignorance and as I move forward I will engage in these issues.”

That way, she says, “I can become an informed ally who would never consider that tweet to be funny in the first place.”

“Our Society should have no place for hate that targets any minority group,” she concluded on an optimistic, yet concilliatory note.

“We can’t make the future better until we make ourselves better. And I’m starting now. Best of luck to Rachel and her suitors this season.”

Amen to that.

Idiotic Pro-Gun Tweet Produces Epic Series of Perfect Replies

Over the past several weeks, Great Britain has been rocked by a series of horrible terrorist attacks.

Most notably, at least within celebrity gossip circles, was the suicide bomber who killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert last month.

In response, conservative commentator Jack Posobiec thinks he has the answer: make sure everyone is armed!

After all, he actually reasoned on Twitter, NASCAR fans bring weapons to races and there"s never been a terrorist attack at a NASCAR race.

Makes perfect sense, right?

Forget the fact that not "all" NASCAR fans are armed, as Posobiec claims… along with the point that Jihadists who commit these atrocities nearly all plan on dying for their cause, so we somehow doubt a bunch of guns will serve as a deterrent.

Let"s focus instead, Twitter has responded, on Posobiec"s own argument.

Okay, no terrorist attacks have taken place at a NASCAR race and we should "draw conclusions" from that, he says.

Hmmm… what other events have never felt the wrath of terrorism and what conclusions ought we to draw from them?

1. Lots of Guns = No Terrorism!

Lots of guns equals no terrorism

D’uh, right? What possible hole could one find in this argument? Let’s see…

2. Just Send Harry Styles Everywhere!

Just send harry styles everywhere

His good looks would automatically distract all would-be bombers, making them forget all about their plans.

3. DMX to the Rescue

Dmx to the rescue

Clone him and his fans and we’re all good.

4. Wait a Minute, DMX

Wait a minute dmx

We take it back. Maybe penguins are the answer!

5. Wait, So We All Need to Do This?

Wait so we all need to do this

Anyting for the country, we guess.

6. People Hate Pushing Their Own Doors Open

People hate pushing their own doors open

That’s really what this all comes down to.

Josh Murray: Andi Dorfman and Nick Viall Are PERFECT Together!

Andi Dorfman’s surprise visit to the hotel room of Nick Viall on this season of The Bachelor has fans guessing what her endgame is.

Could there be a surprise reconciliation in the works? (The Bachelor spoilers offer clues as to how the season ends, if you dare to read).

Monday night’s episode gave us just a glimpse of Andi Dorfman’s return to The Bachelor, leaving fans dying to know what comes next.

At least one prominent member of Bachelor Nation is hoping for – or at least envisioning – a rekindling of a romance between the two.

“I think they’re perfect for each other, to be honest,” Dorfman’s former fiancé Josh Murray told Entertainment Tonight in an interview.

Yes, the same Josh Murray who openly loathed Nick and stole his girl on two different shows in The Bachelor franchise since 2014.

“Knowing both of the people and who they are, they should have ended up together,” says Josh, who split with Andi after six months.

Of whether or not he thinks Viall’s relationship with his final pick will last, Murray said he’s “very pessimistic when it comes to [that].”

Josh says he chalks that skepticism up to “what I feel like the intentions are at the end,” adding, “I feel like I know Nick pretty well.”

“I wish the girls luck for sure,” he added.

From everything we’ve heard, there’s little chance Nick dumps his final four and makes Andi Dorfman The Bachelor winner in a shocker.

Still, her mere presence has fans buzzing.

Murray, 32, and Viall, 36, became on-screen rivals when they were the two finalists on Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette in 2014.

Dorfman, 29, ultimately picked Murray.

Their engagement ended, however, and not necessarily well; Dorfman released a tell-all memoir about her experience with the show.

In it, Andi touched on the reasons behind her split from Murray, calling the former athlete controlling, paranoid and verbally abusive.

Her book became a hot topic during Murray’s (and Viall’s) Bachelor in Paradise stint last summer as he romanced Amanda Stanton.

(Who Nick was also really into at the time.)

Nick, who has said Andi’s memoir didn’t always tell the whole story but said what she described was by and large true, was concerned.

About Andi’s claims regarding Murray.

Josh, who may be back together with Stanton after calling off their post-Paradise engagement, said Andi’s book was “a fictional story.”

Murray told ET of his ex’s memoir:

“That’s [Dorfman’s] way of making money and stuff, and that’s great, and if I’ve got to be the fall guy in whatever her stories are, then whatever.”

Adding that he has “no intentions of ever seeing or talking” to Dorfman again, he says “it’s very tempting to tell the truth,” but he won’t.

He’s been asked to write a book of his own, Josh says, but because he doesn’t want to attack people, he will not be taking such action.

“There could be a book written that would be very, very bad, but that’s not something I want to do,” Murray said, advising future contestants.

“Always be yourself” and true to yourself, “because they’re going to portray you how they want to portray you for the storyline.”

Words to live by.

Melissa McCarthy Delivers Perfect Sean Spicer Impression on SNL

If you"ve been following the news in recent weeks, you"re no doubt familiar with the enraged human coronary event that is Donald Trump"s press secretary, Sean Spicer.

It"s hard to see what"s funny about a man trampling the liberties of our nation"s journalists, all while chewing and swallowing several packs of Orbit gum a day, but fortunately, Melissa McCarthy was able to find the humor in the situation on this week"s SNL.

Proving once again that she"s a national treasure, McCarthy made a surprise appearance on SNL this week, lampooning Spicer"s Al-Pacino-mid-coke-binge demeanor.

"Before we begin, I know that myself and the press have gotten off to a rocky start," said McCarthy-as-Spicer, mimicking the tone of Spicer"s tense press briefings.

"When I say ‘rocky start’, I mean it in the sense of Rocky the movie because I came out here to punch you. In the face."

Spicer/McCarthy went on to inform reporters that would Trump announced Neil Gorsuch as his Supreme Court nominee, he received a 15 minute standing ovation, "every man had an erection, and every woman was ovulating."

In keeping with the Trump administration"s tradition of regularly commenting on a late night sketch comedy show, Spicer offered his two cents on McCarthy"s impression, advising the actress to "dial back" with her mannerism.

He also cautioned that McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing; way too many pieces in there.”

Hey, if there"s anyone who understands the dangers of excessive gum consumption, it"s Sean Spicer.

Check out McCarthy"s impression in the clip below:

Students Surprise Teacher with Perfect Xmas Gift

The days of getting one"s favorite teacher a red ad shiny apple are apparently long gone.

At least for one group of students in California.

In the following video, we see a classroom in Edgewood High School in West Covina ad a teacher sitting in front of his desk.

The teacher"s name is Taylor Kerby and his students have pooled money together to present him with something very special.

As the story goes, when school started a couple months ago, Kerby saw one of his students wearing some red Vans and noted that he wanted a pair too.

They weren"t something he would dare buy for himself, however.

A few days prior to the holidays, however, his students thought it would be the ideal time to surprise him with his very own bright red pair of sneakers.

And because cell phones were permitted in the classroom, we got to see Taylor"s reaction to this gift.

His EPIC reaction, we should say.

Amazon Responds to Anti-Muslim Rhetoric With Perfect Holiday Commercial

When one thinks of efforts to bridge the gap between people of different faiths and help our nation heal during times of widening divisions, Amazon probably isn"t the first organization to come to mind.

Nevertheless, the online retail giant has debuted a new holiday commercial that seems to be a direct response to the growing problem of Islamophobia in the Western World.

Set in England, the ad features an Episcopal priest and a Muslim cleric enjoying tea and griping about shared ailments.

Eventually they part company and use Amazon"s Prime service to send one another presents.

Each of them gets a knee brace in the mail (presumably with free shipping) and reflects fondly on their friendship as he slips on.

The message is clear:

Whether you"re a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist or atheist – getting old sucks.

We kid.

As the priest and the cleric both kneel (now with less pain), it"s clear that the ad intends to remind us that we"re all more alike than we are different.

Not to get all political in our description of a warm-and-fuzzy Amazon ad, but it"s an important message during a time when the media has been forced to frequently use the phrase "Muslin ban" in its coverage of the guy who will soon be president.

Interestingly, some advertising industry experts believe this to be the first commercial featuring a Muslim cleric ever to be broadcast on mainstream American television.

"I can’t think of one. There are plenty of religious figures in televisions, especially sitcoms and police procedurals. But no ads with imams,” says Tobe Berkovitz, advertiser professor at Boston University.

Toss out that giblet if the conversation gets too political during tomorrow"s feast.
